[a/n]Many philosophers observe "There are no coincidences" So Guest review of #111 saying "…If Harry ever discovers what was done to him, he'd flip his lid. Go berserk. Murderously so…" Is just foreshadowing? I was reading this one, which begins a trilogy www /s/8 516157/1/Ha rry-Potter-and-the-Power-of-the-Dark-Side well covers the theme.
Harry Does Different DXI
Wait For Teacher
"Well, did pretty good." Harry read his 2nd Year report "O in Defense and Charms; Exceeds in Transfiguration and Astronomy; A in Herbology and Potions, stupid Snape; P in History, bloody Binns."
Percy thumped a book he was reading on the table "I might have to listen to my brothers badmouth professors, but you are a guest in this house Potter. Your brazen disrespect for authority has cost us more House points - -"
"You told me to wait for a teacher when the troll got in." Harry cut him off "And all we got for saving the school and Hermione was a measly five points."
The incoming Head Boy sneered at him "Hardly the point. In fact, Professor McGonagall was too generous. As may be, I note you do not seem to credit professors where you excel, yet it is the fault of those where you fail."
"Lockhart? HE was a boob. Would've killed us and got a dead Ginny and a living Voldemort as a result." Harry shot back. Only belatedly had he checked for the youngest Weasley, and glad she wasn't present "Snape? I'd love to get a grade from someone who didn't hate me."
Percy was unaffected, except for flinching like the other Weasley at the feared name, "Irrelevant. Students do not act on their own volition. You do what they say. And, as Head Boy, I shall have professor-level authority in matters of discipline. Do not cross me."
"Get'em Bigheadboy." Fred snickered.
Mrs. Weasley tried to moderate "While I admit Mr. Lockhart fell short of what I thought …well, can we not speak kindly after the fact? And Professor Snape surely does not hate ANY of his students, Harry. My first three sons in a row have nothing but respect for the man. Honestly, I fail to grasp the problem with my next three, or you for that matter. And Percival, you would do well to remember you are NOT a professor."
"Of course, Mother." He replied meekly enough, but with a hostile glare at Harry.
The only dark-haired boy in the house looked back insolently "Dunno, Percival, got a good track record. Never missed a Snitch. And Voldemort is oh and three."
"Harry! The name!" exclaimed Mrs. Weasley, as everyone else flinched.
Except, interestingly, Ginny who had just appeared and wondered at the subject. Who said "Mum, I get Harry on this. Voldemort just isn't as scary as he was before this year. Perce, if you ever see Harry running for something, I'd say don't stop him. Get a professor? Yes. Because something real bad is probably about to happen. And NO! it won't be his fault."
"I shall act as empowered by the administration as I see fit." The oldest present declared pompously "And if children, such as Potter, and even my brothers cannot mind their place, then they can simply be stunned."
The only one who seemed intimidated was Ron who warned "We'll tell Mum!"
"Really?" Ginny outright laughed "Doubt it. Like to see you go a round with a boy who killed a basilisk. George? Fred? Put me down for a Galleon."
Mrs. Weasley intervened there "Right. Breakfast, no talking. Then everyone hits their summer homework. She floated steaming plates of eggs, bacon and fries to all and reinforced it "Eat!"
