This is the story of a girl named Zoe whose counterpart lives in the future but she’s no ordinary counterpart. The story plays on what would happen if Alvin made counterparts experiments and made them. He lives in Joy and makes them cold and unfeeling, but what would happen if he made one that was somewhat pure still emotionless but pure Almost perfect, but not quite.

15. Chapter 12 testing

We are now in chapter 12 of one of my favorite stories that I've been writing Discarded Innocence one of the first stories I started last year and it's still going strong probably because I separate the chapters a little bit at a time but I hope you enjoy this next chapter called testing. It's what you expect. It's a testing chapter, not the test the chapters but this is the chapter you've been waiting for and I've been waiting for where we are going to ion again Zoe and AC go to ion to stay for a while because Luther will be doing some things trying to fix Zoe to make her normal. Would you be able to? We'll have to find out.

I didn't spend the night the last time over it's Zoe's house, but this time she was coming over here I was so excited my guardian Scarlet also smiled. It's great that Zoe's coming to visit. She said it won't be all fun time. I said some of it was to help her. I'm gonna try and figure out how to get her lost emotions. But a break from their studies too because being an ion is not the same. I'll get to do a lot of studying on her and AC can relax here. He can relax and do whatever he wants while I work on his mother trying to restore what was lost from her when she was born when she was created she said I did receive samples of herself, her brains, and x-rays so samples that she took of herself, she kept some and I took some. We took new ones and we're gonna take more. This is like a doctor type of thing so Dr. Foulger will help me. Foulger will help me figure out how to fix this too He's worked on organs and brains so he knows what he's doing. This is not to give her magic. This is to help her restore what she has lost.

Maybe I can make her a new creation from the bondage of her creator Alvin if I can save her, that would be excellent. She saved me and now I get to save her and return my beautiful counterpart that I am now dating. I never thought I'd see the day that I'd be dating my counterpart.

I will keep her safe if they try to send her back I will make sure that doesn't happen. I'll move in on ion if that happens proportion will make sure that too.

Especially since I'm vulnerable without my mouth and without my magic being a master without my magic is very struggling and hard to do.

She told me in her world in the past it was a game. Our life was a game at one point before Valencia was first created. I laughed. I didn't know that for sure so I'll have to look into the history of our history and legends, but I never thought of looking at that.

I was studying notes when the doorbell rang or off the doorbell, but when footsteps came and knocked on, and then a knock came to my door. It was Scarlet knocking on the lab door Scarlet your guests have arrived. Luther should I change you look fine she said, sensing me being blind she couldn't see the colors of my outfit, but I was wearing my master's club. I wore it for everything most of the time but I think I should change. I said at least two of what I what I wear when I do these types of experiments I normally don't wear my master cloak. I had a masters meeting and I didn't have time to change.

To went and changed into my lab clothes, and then I asked for her to come in an AC came on to ion. The young boy's eyes went wide as he looked around the place. He asked me if this is where I live and I said yes, I live here. This is bigger than the mansion. AC says bigger than Zoe's house and bigger than my ex-brother's house he said well I get to live here. Maybe he I said one day, his eyes went wide in amazement.

I have a room set up for you to play and sleep in. I said you can go and relax there. OK he says I don't have to do any training today no I said Scarlett will take you to the room that she'll stay in for a while. Scarlet took his hand and walked him off, she said I will send you and take you to where you need to go. They chatted away as we left. You didn't bring your little sister with you now I didn't bring patient with me or my other siblings I said just me and the little one she she said laughing.

Or a sound that she thought was laughing at least her emotions were not there obviously so it wasn't a full-on laugh at all, but I could tell she wanted to laugh. I said come on. It's time for the experiments. It's time to get some work done on you I said to her in the chair and took x-rays again of her. It was easier for me to take x-rays of her than her taking x-rays of herself I wanna try to figure out how to get rid of this number code as well. If I can figure out how to untag you, Alvin cannot reclaim you.

She felt relief. I can tell she had the only emotion she had was fear and fear of her creator. The person who helped give birth to her through scientific methods. I can't believe he did this no more will he do this again Ash's counterpart will be the last one. I know a new one has been born, even though I'm still alive. It's because Zoe is here and if we can find it, we won't be able to find Ash's counterpart because they're on earth but maybe I can get it to end Timecrest encounter parcel in with Zoe and I and Ash as well. And if I can save them too like I'm doing for Zoe that'll be great, but I don't think that could be the case.

Fogar came into the room, Dr. Foulger. I'm glad you're here. I said I need your help not what do you need help with I need to help me with Zoe of course we need to scan her brain. Do I need to put her to sleep? I don't think so.

I touch her gently. It's gonna be OK Zoe I'm not gonna hurt you to relax. These instruments are going to check you. I'm gonna make sure you're healthy first or Dr. Foulger is and we sent Dr. Crawford to come as well. He will give you a full check too. I wanna make sure you're healthy before we do any testing on you.

She does not and holds her hand it's gonna be OK.

I'm gonna mostly take an x-ray I said reassuring her after the checkup was done then it was time for the x-ray. Her brain pattern wasn't what I was expecting. It wasn't normal activity and her brain was hyperactive, which made her a genius like me, but artificially just me what was wrong. Nothing I said you're fine

I told Dr. Crawford and Dr. Foulger to look at this they both looked. There was some disconnection will have to rewire her brain completely. She said, rewire my brain don't worry it's not gonna hurt you. What we're gonna do is fix it so that you can process emotions that's why you can't process them and you were created without them because your brain was disconnected to the emotional The most the emotional connection I said your aura is also off.

Your thoughts and emotions would be off if Ezra was out of the gym magically since he's locked away, we can't rely on him and he probably wouldn't like that you were here anyway he'd see you as well as an exception so we can't rely on that either.

I told her she'd have to stay here for several days. The testing will take several days and to rewire her brain will take another several days.

You can go home throughout some of these tests I said, but for most of them you'll have to stay here multiple times she asked if you can't fix it in one take no I'll have to do more Alvin has messed you up big-time at your birth I said, but I'll be able to untag you before then that I can fix easily I said, but I'll have to put you to sleep to do it so it'll be a surgical procedure Dr. Foulger and Dr. Crawford will have to do the procedure of doing this. I cannot. I'm not a doctor I said just an inventor and a scientist to relax for a moment. Don't worry I'll be here with you through the whole thing to relax.

And will do the surgery now so that we don't have any trace back to Alvin for this I'll have to take her to my lab Luther Dr. Crawford said I have a better medical table to lay her on for it. We got her up and walked her to Dr. Crawford's home, not Home but his office his lab as we laid her down. We gave her an aesthetic to put her to sleep. Don't worry I'll be here holding her hand as she fell asleep.

The last thing I told her is Zoe I am here and she just sent me to come into subconsciousness unconscious for a while.

She's my counterpart I concentrated on her. I went into a trance with her while she was asleep. I wanted to see what she saw. Maybe I can fix this through her emotions through her mind. This was serious this could save her. I watched how she was born. I don't know how she's noticed these memories receiving of her soul. I found out through her that they don't have souls. I felt bad for any other counterpart before her and after her. Hopefully, she and her partner will never see will be the last of these counterparts that will be made. I'll figure out a way to stop Alvin in this creation.

And maybe I can reverse it not the whole thing but her emotions if I can reverse, I watched as he didn't put emotions in her. I guess he could program it. I watched him at the computer through her eyes terrifying this is how my counterpart was made and how she was born. Does she dream about these major things I never knew about her every counterpart dreams about this this is a terrifying fear I could feel she couldn't feel the sphere but she says she hates her creator and fears him well no more. I'll take that away from her soon.

When I was in this trance I grabbed one of the 1000 out of her head, a store, not in my brain obviously but grabbed it physically as I was in this trance. Somehow, I was able to erase it not quite though.

Then I saw him in her head Alvin shivered. I'd always be afraid of him too even without my emotions he saw me Luther what are you doing inside number 1000 mind excuse me I'm saving my counterpart from you. She's no longer 1000 but Zoe, she's not just a number but she's a person, not your twisted experiment no more I'm gonna reverse this I said.

I'll come back for her. Alvin said I will take her and bring her back to my home. I will put her and torture in the pain and torture machines. He said no I said no oh yes she'll be discovered and she'll be returned to me and you will be punished for interfering with me. Not if I'm successful. I said if I can successfully break her from you, just family to take care of now I'm not letting you. I'm not letting you take her. I'm not letting this happen. I can't believe you get enjoyment out of this.

Of course, I do. He said I have the time manipulator I'm more than that. I am the creator of my creation. I get to do whatever I want with her. She knew this would be the risk when she returned to Valencia back to a show with you and be by your side.

She shouldn't have any emotion that's your flaw you flawed your plan I said having her to have fear is a flaw in her programming if that's the case.

Then there's a way of fixing and reversing what you have done you made her and I can re-create her. I can't take her apart, but I will rewire her brain with the help of Foulger and Dr. Crawford. I said I will be able to rewire her brain again and give her new emotions you won't be able to finish. Alvin said you will not be able to fix her programming. My settings for her are too strong she's a disobedient creation and she'll come back to be punished. I will have her caught and locked in here. She'll return to me and I will take her apart. Alvin said no and I'll rewire her to kill you Luther even if she has a soul I will take her back to her basic animal form. No, you will not. I will make sure that doesn't happen. I will make sure she feels all the pain. Alvin said as much pain as she feels, and then I'll break her and then she'll become feral. She will become a basic animal. With one thought in her mind to kill you.

You will not I said you think you can rest you or her don't make me laugh. Alvin said 1000 only has one purpose in her life. She's fulfilled at being your counterpart now her job is to finish you off. The other counterpart failed in that mission because they lived in the human world and never met their cat their time press counterpart, but you and she will never be together and be equals you'll never be equal because she is the one who's gonna do your undoing She will bring you to your knees. Alvin said.

You forget, I'm a genius. I said I can break whatever code you have put on her. Whatever spells this on her. She saved me now I get to save her and return breaking her from your bondage of slavery to you. It might take me several days, but I will do it and once she's free and I take this number code out of her she'll be free from you forever you won't be able to track her. You won't be able to do anything.

So you think you can be a hero huh? I know I can. I said to him you may be her creator, but I'm gonna be the one who saves her.

I'll re-create her. I can't remake her be born, but I can remake her. I could change her mind. I can give her new functions. You don't have the equipment. Alvin said I don't care. I came out of my trance. She was still asleep. We did the surgical procedure. What should we do Foulger? I asked well. Foulger said first of all we're working with a major organ here with her brain he said where were you? He asked me if I was in her brain. I was in a trance, and I transferred my subconscious into her for a bit anyway what what are you gonna do well, he said I'm going to. I've been working on something and this might work since you showed me countless every bit of her brain nativity.

I did I showed him every x-ray she made of herself.

Especially the ones in her brain.

We concentrated we couldn't quite put it all together. We'd have to wake her up soon, and I can only probably give her one emotion at a time and she'll have to learn the process one at a time.

We woke her up and I kissed her Luther. She said softly reaching up I said I'm here. I have a big headache. I know I said, holding her close to me and ringing my hands at her soft hair don't worry bye darling you'll be safe soon we're gonna take your number code out first and then we'll give you a new emotion at a time. I think this is the only way we can rewire your brain, but it's part of my DNA you take that out I die no, you will not die. I said as I held her in my arms, and kissed her you'll be OK. The first time I'd ever seen her this vulnerable. She's strong, knowing what to do and controlling herself. This was the first time she was afraid of something. The unknown the uncertainty if I die, take care of Alistair for me promise I will, but you're not gonna go anywhere. I'm not going anywhere Zoe Booger said looking at her doctor Foger she said you're gonna be all right. He says don't worry. I'm a doctor. I'm a professional. I know what I'm doing. I used to rewire people's brains and organs all the time for you. I'll be delicate I promise I'm not trying to give you magic Literal. Use his laptop to reprogram emotions into you one at a time we're gonna make a serum that'll give you emotions we'll figure out how to do it. Once we do will give you one at a time your body will respond to them and create them into your mind and body your aura.

Also, I said I'm gonna take out your member code is a chip right? Yes, she said then you shouldn't die from me taking a chip out of you. You simply just have a chip in your brain with your number code in it. All I need to do is just take it out.

Lunch you need to do brain surgery I asked a little but should be quick and I should be able to grab the chip out of you as quickly as possible. I will not be doing the cutting open. I'll just be taking the chip out and throwing it away. I'm not even crushed it into little pieces.

I saw relief on her face I thought I had to be stuck with this in my head all my time all my life she said no I said back you will never have to have this ever again. That number in your head will disappear. You will no longer be 1000 you will be you will be free she thought then do it free me?

I will I'll break the caps hold on you. I will break you free from your creator. I said he would never be able to track you ever again Zoe. I had her in my arms for a while, hugging her and running my hands and her hair again, but I'll have to put you out again I said She knows and you might not live, but I'll have a way of re-bringing you back to life how she asked, I wanna try and turn back time with the watch box I can't I don't have the watch. I wanna try and use my natural time magic that I have and try to turn that time to save you.

Believe me, this is an experiment so I don't know if it'll go well or not. I don't care free me for my chapter free me from my creator she said once I do then you'll be free I said and I can give you your emotions.

Good, she said, as I held her hand and put her back under her again.

Dr. Foulger put her under and cut open her brain. This was brain surgery. This was scary terrifying I'm glad AC wasn't in here to watch. I think I have it. He says pulling out the little chip that was in her brain. Her number code will be disappearing from her body soon he said as he sold her head back up. She'll also be bald for a bit on the top of her head. We'll have to get her hair back maybe it'll regenerate when she as I said these words, Zoe passed out. And she stopped breathing her heart stopped pumping oh no it was brain surgery. After all, we knew the risk, but we didn't expect it to quickly happen. Her shell her beautiful body lay in front of us. Her soul temporarily disappeared. Her life was gone. I wept for a bit weeping as I kissed her, her beautiful lifeless lips, one more time.

Her eyes were closed and her beautiful hair fell around her.

She lay there. I took the little chip thingy that was in her and took her to the trash in our room covered in blood. I took her to the trash bin in our room and I wore gloves obviously in our laboratory, I crushed the little chip in my hand as it broke into 1 million little pieces the number 1000 shattering into little pieces.

And then I watched in amazement as the natural turn-back time power that was in my beautiful counterpart's body regenerated herself. She was the strongest woman I knew once I destroyed that ship she was free. Alvin killed her when I took the chip out of her, but she was a new woman out without her emotions yet, but she was ready to go.

The experiments I'll be doing next will not have to have her cut open. We can do all of this with technology with AI with whatever we have in my lab that can restore things.

Every bit of the drip of the code that was in her dripped out of her no longer was she completely artificial her brain went from a robot brain to a normal brain after that too she was still a genius. You couldn't take that from her, but she was a genius in her way. She felt free and relieved but still feared that Alvin could still find her. Don't worry I told her he would not look for you because I broke the chip into pieces and threw it away. Your number code is gone that is dripping out of your DNA right now it's your body resetting itself I said her eyes blinked open and looked at me. I smiled at her as I squeezed her hand in mine now for the next part, which will be easier creating new emotions for you you are new. You are remade, reborn, and away regenerated ready to be receiving your new emotion soon.

Would that be hard she asked it shouldn't be. I said this because that was the hard part the scary part hooking you up to a machine to give you emotions will not be. I just need to figure out the right program to give it to you through and I think I found your creator's version of what he did all I need to do is reverse the program he used once I do that and put new emotions into you or help with your aura to do that. It should reset naturally.

No, I'm ready. She said yes and I was ready to.

You'll stay here on ion for a while she knows OK she says I'll have Dr. Foulger take you to your room. You need to rest now you'll have an awful scar on your head, but it will heal and your hair will grow back as well. Don't worry I didn't cut too much. We just did enough to get the chip out and then we fixed it and sold it the stitches should grow up again and heal. OK, she said again she let Dr. Faber take her by the hand and lead her to her room. She needed to rest now it was nighttime anyway, and we all needed to rest. I witnessed my counterpart die in front of me and he came back to life. She is stronger than I thought.

She rescued me. I rescued her. We have saved each other. But this isn't the end there are still more to go.
