In the grand throne room of Lugunica, where light filtered through the stained-glass windows, casting colorful patterns on the marble floors, the air was filled with anticipation. The room had been meticulously decorated for the celebration of five years of shared rule under the most unexpected of circumstances. The princesses of Lugunica, known for their grace and strength, had revealed their true identities as the knights who had served them, now leading the nation together. Each played their part, bringing their unique strengths to the governance of the kingdom.
Anastasia, who now hosted the spirit of Julius Juukulius, stood tall and poised, her sharp eyes surveying the preparations. She had always been a master of strategy, and with Julius's discipline, her leadership had become even more formidable.
"Everything seems to be in order," Anastasia said, her voice a harmonious blend of her own and Julius's calm demeanor. "The guests will be arriving soon. Is everyone ready?"
Felt, her lively spirit intertwined with the honor of Reinhard van Astrea, bounced over, her blonde hair catching the light. "You bet we are! I can't believe it's been five years already. Feels like just yesterday we were all getting used to... well, this." She gestured to herself and the others with a laugh.
Priscilla, who had always exuded confidence, now merged with Al's straightforward and grounded personality, nodded. "Time flies when you're making history, Felt. Let's make sure today is perfect."
Emilia, with the wisdom of Roswaal guiding her, stepped forward, her expression serene yet determined. "We've come a long way, and today isn't just about us. It's about everyone in Lugunica who believed in us. Let's show them the future we've built together."
Crusch, whose steadfastness had only grown with Felix's influence, placed a reassuring hand on Emilia's shoulder. "We've done well, and we'll continue to do so. But let's remember to enjoy ourselves today. It's a celebration, after all."
Elsa, the surprising addition to their circle, had the soul of Subaru Natsuki, whose resilience and heart had touched them all. "You guys look amazing today," Elsa said with Subaru's familiar grin. "I'm just happy we can all be here together. Who would've thought, right?"
As they gathered around the central table, they couldn't help but reflect on the journey that had brought them here. After the cheer, they took the opportunity to catch up and discuss the latest developments in their respective regions of Lugunica. The six have decided to split the work and help each other out when dealing with their respective roles in the new Luginica. Anastasia (Julius Juukulius)

The farmers are happier, and we've reduced our reliance on imports. We've also been able to make new leaps with medical research and production that we've been able to help deal with many terminal illnesses, though we're having trouble with a few others."
Elsa, with Subaru's heartfelt resilience and optimism, smiled warmly. "On my side, we've been working on fostering a sense of community. Subaru's experiences have taught me the importance of connection and support. We've organized numerous festivals and events to bring people together, celebrating our diverse cultures and traditions. It's amazing to see everyone so united and happy."

Felt grinned, her enthusiasm infectious. "The sky's the limit! With all of us working together, there's nothing we can't do."
Priscilla raised her glass again, her eyes twinkling with confidence and determination. "To our continued success and the future of Lugunica."
The others echoed her toast, their glasses clinking together. "To Lugunica!"
The princesses cheered as they then moved from the throne room to a cozy lounge adjacent to the grand throne room; the six rulers sat comfortably, their regal attire contrasting with the casual, friendly atmosphere. They were gathered together, sharing stories and laughter like old friends.
Emilia, with Roswaal's influence adding a touch of whimsy to her gentle nature, smiled warmly at the group. "I am very happy to be with you girls," she said, her eyes twinkling.
Anastasia, infused with Julius's discipline and charm, leaned forward with a mischievous grin. "Hey girls, do you want to see a new magic trick?" She pulled out a small, ornate box from her sleeve, eliciting curious looks from the others, except for Emilia, who knew what was happening.
Priscilla, whose confident demeanor was softened by Al's practical perspective, chuckled. "Hey, what do you think about dating?" she asked, teasingly eyeing the group.
Elsa, with Subaru's playful spirit shining through, blushed slightly. "Hehe, actually, I have some people in mind," she admitted, drawing laughter and a few knowing looks from the others.
Crusch, balanced with Felix's nurturing touch, looked at Elsa with a smile. "Emm, you look very cute today, Subar—em, Elsa hehe," she said, causing Elsa to turn an even deeper shade of red.
Felt, her lively personality enhanced by Reinhard's honor, beamed. "I have never felt this happy in my entire life!" she declared, her enthusiasm infectious.
They all settled in, and Anastasia performed her magic trick, making a small bouquet appear from the box. Everyone clapped and cheered, enjoying the lighthearted moment. Elsa then looked at them all before smiling to herself being accepted despite her...odd circumstances but also glad that she was not alone, which some people are probably wondering.
What happened five years ago?
Well, for that, we'll have to go back in time to when Subaru almost gave up when he could no longer restart.
Flashback
Takes place after the Sanctuary Arc.
After the events of the Sanctuary and there being no evil Witch followers to try and kill them all, Emilia and the other Royal Candidates decided to have a meeting at the Karnsten Mansion to discuss how to deal with the Witch Cult, especially since Elsa is still alive and locked up in prison but with Meili being kept at the Emilia Camp as their 'prisoner' but really Subaru took care of the small girl who seemed to enjoy Subaru's company and even made amends with Petra and the people of Arlam village for her crimes.
Garfiel was mad that he had passed out after beating Elsa, but Subaru and Otto reassured him that he had done his best and kept her busy while they took care of Meili's army.
Beatrice also enjoyed being Subaru's contracted spirit and loved to spend time with him; however, given the luck that the camp had, they wouldn't be out of the woods yet.
While the royal candidates had their cooperative meeting with one another, the infamous Witch Cult led by Capella, the Archbishop of Lust, attacked the Karsten Mansion.
The princesses repelled the Sin Archbishop of Lust and were about to die until she glared at them and declared that she would make sure if she went out, then she'd leave a special surprise for them.
Capella's body glowed as she became her dragon firm one last time. This made the knights get to their candidates, except Subaru, since he was forced to release Elsa to help them deal with the Witch Cult, which left Rosswal to protect Emilia.
However, Capella smiled at this as she ended her life by exploding, which set off a pink noxious gas, prompting the royal candidates, knights, and the other residents of the mansion to pass out.
The Witch Cultists were dead, but their lives wouldn't be the same afterward since that wasn't any ordinary gas explosion.
Capella knew she was going to die due to her underestimating them, so she decided to give them her love and support her fellow archbishops in the future by causing chaos among the people, which led to her learning how to make a deadly gas that would knock people out but also hold a spell that would for sure cause chaos to occur in Lugunica but also in the other countries.
Later.
Subaru was feeling restless after that explosion as he groaned in pain, slowly regaining consciousness. The last thing he remembered was Capella's intense glare before everything went black. He tried to sit up, his body feeling strangely heavy, and as his eyes fluttered open, he realized something was wrong—terribly wrong.
Subaru groaned as he slowly regained consciousness and tried to remember what happened before the explosion. Still, the last thing he remembered was Capella's eerie smile just before the explosion, Elsa covering him along with a kind smile and something she said to him before he was knocked unconscious.
The pink gas knocked everyone out, but as Subaru slowly got up from the floor, he felt something off. He tried to stand himself up, but his movements were not his own. His body felt different—more agile, lighter, and balanced.
Subaru opened his eyes, which made him glad that there wasn't any damage to the mansion or blood on the walls, meaning that everyone was safe.
Subaru then looked at the mirror and gasped when he saw Elsa's face.
"Elsa!" Subaru shouted but was shocked when he saw that he was pointing to his reflection shocked Subaru since he didn't know what was happening, so Subaru made a few faces with Elsa that ranged from funny, cute, angry, and happy, which made Subaru look down at his chest and saw that instead of a flat chest, he literally had massive boobs on his chest that seemed gravity defying.
Subaru then looked at his rear and saw that it was large and soft, which made him realize what had happened.
"T-This can't be real." Subaru stuttered as he looked back at the mirror. "I-I'm Elsa?!"
He could feel Elsa's assassin instincts urging him to act, to kill people, but he suppressed them, focusing on the immediate problem. He needed to figure out how he ended up in Elsa's body and where his own body had gone.
"What the hell… How did this happen?!" Subaru thought frantically before slapping himself, which didn't surprisingly hurt, which helped him calm down before thinking that the pink gas had something to do with his predicament.
"Okay, so let's recap: I was a guy, but thanks to Capella's suicide explosion, the people in the mansion are knocked out, and for some reason, I'm in Elsa, the Bowel Hunters, body," Subaru said to himself before looking at his massive bust which made Subaru blush at their divinity and was tempted to touch them until he stopped himself.
"No! Control yourself! Now is not the time to massage some amazing pillows!" Subaru shouted as he gripped his left hand before hearing another groan, which made Subaru turn around to see that the Royal candidates were groaning as each of them slowly began to wake up.
"Ugh, why does it feel like I was sent back and forth to Kararagi?"
"At least you don't have a killer headache, nya."
"Ugh, the princess is definitely to whack me on the head for this."
"I hope Lady Felt is okay. Since she is very small, some debris could've hit her."
"Well...isn't this an odd predicament," Emilia said before looking at herself until she copped a feel of her bust until she looked at the destroyed body that was Roswaal.
"Ah, I see. It appears that I was killed by that explosion, which makes sense since we were near the center of it." Emilia said before Subaru walked over to Emilia and hugged her, not caring if she would attack him.
"Emilia! Oh, thank goodness you're safe!" Subaru said as Emilia's head was smushed in Elsa's bosom, which made Emilia struggle to breathe through them until she succumbed to the warmth and softness of them. Subaru let her go but was surprised to see a bit of blood leave Emilia's nose.
"Oh my goodness! Are you okay, Emilia?"
"Who are you calling Emilia? I'm Roswaal L. Mathers, and I'm surprised to see you care about Elsa since you did try to kill her a couple of times." Roswaal said, which shocked Subaru before he poked Emilia's forehead a few times. This annoyed the elf until Emilia asked to be released, which Subaru did.
Roswaal did it before straightening the dress and explaining.
"This body may have been Emilia, the half-elves body, but it seems that it's now my new one. I am Roswaal L. Mathers. I thought I suppose Emilia L. Mathers is a better name for this body." Roswaal said, which shocked Subaru before shaking his head.
"Wait, Roswaal? Is it really you?"
"Of course, it's me. Who else would I be?"
"A cute half-elf girl who's an Angel when the moon shines on her face?"
This made Roswaal look at Elsa's body in shock before Subaru chuckled nervously and explained himself.
"Well, I'm actually Subaru Natsuki. It looks like we're in a bit of an odd situation." Subaru said until he felt someone tug Elsa's cloak, which made Subaru look down and see Felt rubbing the back of her head nervously before speaking to him.
"I guess since I'm not the only one, I don't have to pretend to be Lady Felt. Since I'm actually the Sword Saint, Reinhardt Van Astraea." Reinhardt or Felt said as the half-elf and former assassin looked at the former thief in shock until the others groaned.
"Well, since we're all in the same boat, I'll go next," Anatasia said with surprising confidence and charisma before introducing herself or whoever possessed her body. "I'm Julius Jukulius. Knight of Anatasia Hoshin."
"U-Uh..." Crusch said, which was surprising for everyone since Crusch was always confident in herself before introducing herself. "I'm Felix Argyle. Healer Knight of Crusch Karnsten."
"Well, I guess that just leaves me, and boy, if the princess knew about this, she'd crawl back from the grave and haunt my ass." Priscilla Barielle said, much to the other's surprise, before she put on a certain helmet and smiled at them all.
"Hiya! Names Al. Good to see that I'm not alone in this strange...situation." The Princess of Fire said as she then pointed to the floor to see that their old bodies were destroyed, which shocked the knights, which would explain why they didn't see their bodies in the room due to them being either destroyed or vaporized by the explosion.
"Do you mean to tell me that all of us are basically now possessing the bodies of not just the Royal Candidates but also Elsa? How is that even possible?" Subaru asked since he only recalled Betelgeuse being able to possess a person who killed him or Roswaal when he dies and is reborn as someone else.
"Actually, possessing people is a lost form of Dark Magic that only a few know about, so it's possible that the Archbishop of Lust learned how to do so and turned herself into that pink smoke bomb that not only destroyed our bodies but also placed us in our princess bodies."
"Wait a minute! Does this mean we basically lost our blessings when we possessed the candidates and Elsa?" Subaru asked before looking down at a kitchen knife and grabbing it, shocking the others until he slit Elsa's throat, which shocked the candidates until they saw that the bleeding stopped and there wasn't even a cut on her neck.
"Holy shit..." Subaru said as he realized that he couldn't kill himself to use Return by Death to reset this loop possibly.
Al could tell Subaru was afraid before walking over and hugging his little brother or sister, in this case now, and patting her back, which made Subaru cry into Al's shoulder and dress, which Al didn't mind since he knew that his sister needed this.
"Well, talk later, okay?" Al asked as Subaru sniffed and nodded before taking a tissue and blowing her nose.
"I'm sorry for scaring you all, but I knew Elsa had extremely strong regenerative skills, but this was something else. It's as if her body became more powerful when I possessed her." Subaru said before clenching his fists before Al went next and summoned the Yang Sword, much to their surprise, and wielded it with ease.
"Looks like I can use the princess's powers. How about you guys?" Al asked before Julius saw that he was still able to use his spirits but also had issues with Anastasia's weaker body since she wasn't trained to be a warrior like him, which meant that Julius had some training to do.
Felix was able to use his healing arts and blushed as he looked at Crusch's reflection with joy since he was now one with the one who gave him life and purpose.
As for Reinhardt and Roswaal, the two of them were still able to use their magic and blessings with ease, much to the other's surprise, until Reinhardt showed that Felt was able to wield the sword.
"Still, what do we do now?" Subaru asked before Reinhardt took over.
"For now, we need to check on the other residents and guards to see if they're okay, as well as others outside the mansion, and see if they were hit by the explosion as well."
The others agreed with this and headed through the mansion to see that a lot of people had changed.
As they entered the hallway leading to the rooms where Garfiel, Ram, and the others had been, they could hear murmured voices, some sounding more alarmed than others.
"Ram!? What the hell's goin' on with me?!" Garfiel's voice boomed, though it was higher-pitched than usual. Subaru froze at the doorway, peeking in.
Garfiel, now in Ram's body, was frantically examining himself in the mirror, his expression a mix of confusion and anger. Ram's usually calm demeanor was nowhere to be found as Garfiel tried to get a grip on the situation. He flexed his new, slender arms and tested his reflexes, visibly frustrated.
Subaru hesitated before stepping forward. "Garfiel?" he called out in Elsa's voice, which startled everyone in the room. They all turned to see the former assassin standing in the doorway.
Garfiel, or Ram rather, stared wide-eyed at Elsa. "What the—Elsa? What're you doin' here?!"
"It's me, Subaru!" Subaru quickly said, raising Elsa's hands in a placating gesture. "I don't know how, but I'm in Elsa's body. We all seem to be in… different bodies."
Garfiel—Ram—blinked, then sniffed the air, his sharp senses kicking in despite the body he was in. "You… smell like Captain," he said, though it was clear he was struggling to process everything.
Subaru nodded. "Yeah, that's because it is me. But is that really you, Garf?"
"Of course, it's me, Captain. Don't tell me you don't recognize the Shield of the Emilia Camp?" Ram said with Garfiel's usual grin, which confirmed that Garfiel now possessed Ram.
"Do you know where the others are?" Subaru asked before hearing a yell that resulted in Al coming out of the room.
"Put me down! I'm not a cat!" A girl said as the duo turned to see all carrying a girl that looked like Meili, but this girl was more of a teenager rather than the little girl that was the Mabeast Tamer.
The girl then saw Subaru's new body and cried tears of joy, surprising the trio.
"Elsa! Ram! Please help me! This woman is being so mean to me!" The girl shouted before Subaru walked towards her and asked.
"Uh...Who are you?"
This made the girl cry tears of sadness before shouting.
"How could you both not recognize me?! It's me! Otto, but I'm in Meili's body for some reason!" Otto shouted before shutting his mouth, and Subaru pulled his hands off Otto's new mouth.
"So let me get this straight. Your Otto, but now in Meili's body, who's grown up?"
"Y-Yes. But who are you?!" Otto asked before Subaru facepalmed before introducing herself.
"It's me. Subaru Natsuki. If you want proof, then I can tell you how much pain you were in when you got your ass kicked by-!"
"Nope! I believe you, but does this mean you're my big sister now?"
"It honestly looks that way," Subaru said since he wasn't sure how Beatrice would react to this. She enjoyed spending time with him and cuddling next to him when they slept.
Ram, or Garfiel, snickered hearing this before a pair of feet were heard running down the hallway to see that Elsa was slammed into the wall by a silver blur.
"Subaru! Im so glad to see that you are alright! I was worried about you since I got caught in the explosion and couldn't make it to you in time, and I-I'm so sorry for letting you die!" The girl shouted, which made Subaru look down to see a silver-haired girl with blue eyes who was hardly wearing much except a dress that was similar to Beako's original dress.
"Wait a minute. Beako? Whose body are you in, and why are you like this?" Subaru asked before Beatrice said she would tell him later but wanted to know if he was okay, so Subaru reassured him that he was fine.
The rest of the day occurred with many guys and girls in different bodies, but not all were of the opposite gender.
Patrasche was actually in the body of Sekhmet now and was so happy to talk to her master and nuzzled next to Subaru in his new body, which surprised Subaru that the ground dragon was able to recognize him in Elsa's body until Patrasche said that she could recognize his scent and the eyes were the same as his old ones.
Wilhelm, on the other hand, was now possessing Frederica and was shocked to see he is now a Demihuman girl but treated his new body with respect and care since he was raised to be a gentleman after all, which resulted in a change of clothes to the butler that he wore which made the others amused by this, especially Garfiel, who was sad his sister was gone. Still, Wilhelm was more than happy to be a sister and mentor for the new maid and shield of the Emilia Camp.
Eventually, after the chaos and reporting what happened to the Sage Council, they decided that the princesses would still participate since the gems seemed to react to them all, well except Roswaal, much to his surprise, before seeing that the gem reacted to Subaru, which made him the last candidate for the throne.
After getting the crazy situation taken care of, the knights decided that they had to get back to their respective camps since each of them had new responsibilities to bear. Subaru was more than happy to help them however he could, especially Felix, who seemed to be flustered around Subaru for some reason before the Emilia Camp in their new bodies headed back under the blanket of night to avoid any odd looks from Arlam Village.
However, Subaru was in for a surprise when Petra welcomed him back home. Still, it wasn't in her normal body but in the body of Rem, the blue-haired Oni sister, much to Subaru's surprise until Petra explained that she might've snuck into the carriage since she wanted to attend the meeting but got caught in the explosion and next thing she knew, Petra ended up in Rem's body which made Garfiel excited since he now had two sisters.
One thing Subaru knew for sure was that this election was going to be a crazy one since the candidates were basically beautiful women possessed by their knights, excluding Emilia.

This is merely the beginning since I wanted the princesses to be possessed by Subaru and the guys so they would be in full control of their powers and memories.
