Hello everyone, Lealius here with a new story, this one for the light novel series You Were Experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story/Keikenzumi na Kimi to, Keiken Zero na Ore ga, Otsukiai Suru Hanashi
It will be a crossover story, in which our dear Ryuuto Kashima, the protagonist of said light novel, becomes Spider-man
Without further ado, let´s begin
You Were Experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story/Keikenzumi na Kimi to, Keiken Zero na Ore ga, Otsukiai Suru Hanashi belongs to Makiko Nagaoka and Magako
Spider-man and its characters belong to Marvel
The world… No, the universe has mysterious ways of working
Putting one person at the wrong place and time
Someone who was just waiting in line at the bank, when suddenly an armed group decides to break into, terrorizing the innocent civilians
Life can be unfair like that
But, it also works by creating miracles
In the form of putting one person at the right place at the right time
To these types of people, they are often referred to as
Hero
And the universe has chosen someone to be a hero
A young man known as Ryuuto Kashima
But, the act of choosing a him, someone who had just started his second year of highschool, to bear such a huge responsibility
Can it be considered fair or unfair?
Let's follow his story
-"I´m so lucky to be on the same class as Shirakawa-san"
Those were the thoughts of Ryuuto Kashima, right after starting his second year of highschool
He had average looks, including dark brown hair, almost black, and brown eyes, and was wearing the school´s summer uniform that consisted of a yellowish sleeveless sweater above a white t-shirt, grey pants and brown shoes
And who was this Shirakawa-san you ask?
Well, the school's number one beauty
Big eyes and long eyelashes. Small nose. Beautiful lips that form an even more beautiful smile. An incredible body in every sense of the word
A true Gyaru no matter how you look at it
But, there was one big rumor about her
The rumor that she was a slut, that she would change boyfriend like changing the clothes to wear after a few days of usage
So, whenever she was single, lines of boys would form, and they all had the same thought
-"I might have a shot with her"
Now, Ryuuto was not one to care for such rumors. For him, Luna Shirakawa was the sun, while him was a gloomy student who no girl would bat an eye to
And he knew this, and was fine with it
He was happy to keep the status quo
And hey, he already lent her a pencil once, which just having her so close and with her bright smile was enough to make him fall in love with her
Not that he would ever make a move on her, he was too shy for that
Until the push that he needed came in the most bizarre way
Monday, June the 1st 2020
While having lunch and checking an news article that read
The famous pharmaceutical company Shield has reported an increase in profits during the first semester of the year, and
However, his reading was cut short
-"Fwaaa" someone yawned, a chubby person with dark blue hair "Last night, KEN uploaded his latest video at midnight, so I watched it. Then I kept on playing till early in the morning
-"I didn't sleep enough as well due to KEN" another person said, this one smaller and thinner and with brown hair
They were Yuusuke Ijichi and Ren Nishina, Ryuuto´s only friends
Despite the fact that Ren was from a different class, the three of them had bonded over their common interests, like videogames and such
Their connection was so strong that they would call themselves Kashi, Ichi and Nishi
-"Now that I think about it, we are getting the results of our exams soon" Ren whispered
-"DON'T REMIND ME THAT!" Yuusuke yelled, holding his hair in despair "I REALLY SCREWED UP! CURSE YOU KEN FOR UPLOADING VIDEOS DURING EXAM PERIOD!"
This was a predicament that both Yuusuke and Ren shared, but not Ryuuto
-"What about you, Kashi?" Yuusuke asked, eyes pleading
-"Yeah, what about you Kashi?" Ren asked, following suit
-"Um, Yes!" it was a lie, but he couldn't hurt his friends´ feelings
-"Exactly, we are all in a bad situation!" the chubby one said "We fail together or not!"
-"Yeah!" Ren said, holding his bro´s hand "Which is why, whoever gets the best grades out of the three of us has to do what the one with the worst grades says!"
-"Why are we doing that!?" Ryuuto, apparently being the only one with common sense, protested
But it fell on deaf ears, so he had no choice to accept it
And its not like they were actually going to make him do something crazy, right?
Friday, June the 5th 2020
The day of the results
-"This is an order from me to you, Kashi!" Yuusuke said, being the loser of the bet, and holding Ryuuto close in an arm hug "I order you to confess to your crush!"
Ryuuto broke free from the grip, leaning back in shock "What?! What kind of order is that?! Why not something like buying you lunch?! Or be the errand boy for an entire day?!"
Those were mercy compared to doing this
-"Don´t worry, I´ll pick up your bones" Ren said nonchalantly
-"You guys are really cruel!" he pointed at them angrily "For starters, didn't your grades drop because you two were negligent?"
Surely they would listen to reason
-"Oh, so that's what you think?!" the shortie Ren asked, his expression was convoluted
-"Yeah, you promised Kashi!" Yuuske said, he then went for the finishing blow "Aren't we true friends?"
To this, he went mute
True, they were his only friends, and if it weren't for him, Ryuuto would spend his recesses at the bathroom, even if he didn't wanted to go, counting the lines on his hands until it was time to return to class
Plus, better to get this out of the way sooner than later
-"If she rejects me… No, when she rejects me, I can mend my broken heart and continue my school life in peace"
And with that, he let out a defeated sigh
-"All I have to do is confess, right?"
At the parking lot, behind the school building
Ryuuto was tapping his foot, reading a news article
After careful inspection, the authorities of the pharmaceutical company Shield have confirmed that there´s nothing missing following the attempted robbery at one of their branches, and
-"AAAAH!" he put his phone into his pocket, reading was not helping him to feel any better
And how could he? He was about to do something that no one, or rather, someone with more confidence could only do
Confess to his crush, Luna Shirakawa
-"Well, it's either this or my friends think that I´m not one who keeps his word. Plus, there's always the chance she won´t show up"
Unfortunately, that was not the case, as he saw her walking into the established area for the meet up
-"Eek!" Ryuuto gulped
She looked so beautiful as always
After looking around, she took out a piece of paper from her pocket "You put this in my shoe locker, right?"
-"Y-Yes" he said, not making eye contact
She let out a giggle "Why so formal? We´re in the same class, loosen up"
There was no malice on her words
-"R-Right" he said
-"So, what did you want to talk about?"
This was it, there was no turning back now
So, he took a deep breath, and looked up
-"I"
Suddenly, he felt a quite painful pinch in his right leg
-"Ow!" he yelped, lifting his leg, and jumping in place
-"Are you ok?!" Luna asked, head tilted and worried
-"Y-Yeah"
Lifting the hem of his pants, he found a red mark on his right ankle
-"I guess a mosquito must have bitten me"
They failed to noticed a small spider´s corpse falling into the ground
-"I feel better now" he put his foot down
-"That's good" she smiled
That smile turned him red once more
This is it, for real this time
-"I….. I like you!"
It was loud, but he needed to make it clear to that she didnt misheard him
Luna´s eyes went wide, cheeks red "Oh… So that's why"
Ryuuto could not tell what she was thinking
-"Why do you like me?"
-"Eh?" he looked up, confused
-"Why do you like me?"
It was a fair question, this is the first time they had interacted with each other
-"Because… You're beautiful"
-"Hmmmmm" she hummed
Ryuutos heart was beating so fast it might as well pop off his chest
-"Shirakawa-san, just turn me down already!"
-"So, how about we go out? I´m single right now"
-"Eh?" he looked up, did he hear her right?
-"I said I´m single now"
-"..." it was like a clock was marching inside Ryuuto´s head, processing the statement
And once it hit 12 o´clock
-"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH?!" he yelled
-"Why so shocked? You were the one who confessed to me" she let out a laugh
Ryuuto was not sure if he was dreaming or not, but he was certain of one thing
He didn't want to wake up
-"So?" the beauty walked to him, and leaned closer "Are we going out or not?"
It she was making fun of him or not, Ryuuto did not care, he´ll take the chance
-"Y-Yes"
Hearing this, she lifted a hand into the air "Ok, let's walk home together!"
Feeling relieved and the luckiest guy on Earth, they began the journey back home
Behind some bushes, the passed out bodies of Yuusuke and Ren, who had faces of utter disbelief and defeat
As they were walking down, side by side the road towards her house, the young man couldn't help but thinking that she would start laughing and say "I was kidding"
-"Say, Shirakawa-san" he said nervously
-"Hmm?" he looked at him
-"Why are you going out with me?"
It was an odd question, but one that was justified
After all, back in middle school, when he confessed to the beautiful girl that he always talked to, shared homework, and even told him "I guess I like kind boys like you"
It took a lot to muster the confidence to confess to her
Only to have his hopes and dreams to be crush down by her rejection
Since then, he's been afraid of beautiful girls, so, he had to ask that
-"You want to know why I like you?" she was confused, but not angry
-"I mean, we have never talked before, and"
-"So? Why can't I just get to know you now?"
Ryuuto was taken back by that
-"I mean, you don´t know me that well, right?"
True, besides her beauty, he didn't know her that much either
-"Plus, you said you like me, so"
-"Eh?" Ryuuto was confused "That's it?"
-"Hey, don´t think I´m a slut who would date just about anyone" she pointed a finger at him, somewhat angry "I have standards, you know? I wouldn't date someone with long fingernails, or who lets the sweat accumulate on their noses"
-"Awfully specific" he thought
-"So, even if our initial "I like you" was weak, it does makes us want to get to know each other better, and by doing so, that "I like you" will become a genuine one"
-"That´s" he was at a loss for words, but she had a point "Knowing myself, with each day that passes, I´ll probably love her more"
-"Besides" she looked up "I have never dated someone till the point which I develop a "like you"
-"Eh? What do you mean?"
She looked down, a small smile that reflected her own self-disdain
-"You think I got bored and dropped them, right?"
She was talking about the rumors regarding her dumping anyone she dates after just a few months
-"Well, it's the opposite. When I'm dating someone, Im quite loyal. If somebody else flirts with me, I reject them immediately because I have a boyfriend already"
-"I-I see" his answer was simple, because he honestly was not expecting such an answer from her "But, based on what you said before" Ryuuto was still not convinced "Even if you have a boyfriend, wouldn't it make you happy that someone says they like you, and you start liking them back?"
To this, she furrowed her brow
It was enough to shut up his gloomy personality
"Being told "I like you" by someone I dont like, isn't that annoying? It´s really gross
Ryuuto went quiet, it was strange, but, at least for now, he felt he could really trust her in regards to being loyal when dating someone
After that, they boarded the same train, got off at station A, and he walked her to her house
-"This is my house" she said
It was a two story house made out of wood. The exterior looked quite, and down the line, one could see houses of similar design
-"It's pretty" he went for a safe comment
-"Really? Thank you!" her smile was a million watts
-"W-Well" he scratched his head "I'll leave now"
-"Hey" she said cheerfully "Don´t you want to come in?"
-"Eh?!" did he hear her right?"
-"My parents are at work, and my grandmother is at her hula-hula dance class"
-"Quite the energetic grandmother" he thought "A-Are you certain?"
-"Yes" she smiled "Because Ryuuto is my boyfriend"
Even so, it was quite the move
-"But if she's fine with it" he saw no reason to back out, other than how much nervous he was "Then, please excuse me"
They headed towards her room
It was of a surface of 5 tatamis, with strong pink curtains and sheets, a dressing table and wardrobe, and in the center a small table with different small objects on it, like cosmetics
And all sorts of stuff animals
-"I´m going to get some drinks, barley tea sounds good?"
-"Y-Yes"
And with that, she left her room
Ryuto just stood there in the middle of the room, his mind on fire
-"What the hell is going on here?!"
He had prepared himself mentally to be rejected, now he was in the room of his crush, after successfully confessing to her
-"Calm down Ryuuto" he breathed in and out "Don't be creepy"
Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain on his head
-"Ngh!" he closed his eyes, grabbing the bridge of his nose "W-What's going on?!"
He looked at his hand
It was all blurry and shaky
-"Ugh" he shocked his head rather violently
Once he stopped, he checked his hand again
It looked normal now, and the pain was gone too
-"Am I really that nervous?!" he let out a sigh "How pathetic can I be?!"
The door opened, Luna entered with the tray containing two glasses of tea
-"Here you go" she extended one to him
-"T-Thanks" he took it, and drank some to calm himself down
Luna took a sit on her bed "Come on, sit" she smiled at him
Ryuuto looked around, there were no chairs or stools for him to sit at
Except for the bed
-"I have to sit on the bed?! Right next to her?!"
Noticing how long was taking him "Oh" it was like something clicked on her "I get it now"
-"Eh?" Ryuuto had no idea what she was talking about
-"You want to take a shower first? The bathroom is on the first floor so, want me to take you there?"
-"Eh?" Ryuuto could not understand what she talking about
-"Or do you prefer to do it like that?"
-"Do it?!"
The next action of hers had him frozen
She started to unbutton her uniform shirt "We had P.E today, so it's a little embarrassing"
-"W-Wait, Shirakawa-san!" it finally dawned on him
She wanted to do something pervert with him
Most likely sex
-"Is this ok?!" he could finally said goodbye to his virgin life
But
-"Wait a minute!" he yelled
She looked at him, confused "Huh? What´s wrong?"
-"W-What are you doing?" his voice was breaking
-"Eh?" she looked completely lost "Aren't we going to have sex?"
If this was a cartoon, Ryuuto´s jaw would have hit the floor
-"Wait?! Is she for real?!"
While he was panicking, she raised an eyebrow at him "Don´t you want to do it?"
-"It's not about wanting to, it's more about"
Suddenly, Ryuuto felt a strange beating within him
-"Eh?" he started to sweat, even more than before
And then, he dropped the glass, which shattered and sent broken glass all across the floor
-"Huh?!" the blondie panicked
-"Ngh!" Ryuto grabbed his head once more
It was stronger than the previous time, it felt like it was going to split it open
-"What's wrong with me?!"
The world around him was spinning. He got a hand to his chest, struggling to breath
-"Ryuuto!" Luna stood up, and rushed to him, worried for dear life "Are you ok?!"
-"I" he felt strange, like something was crawling inside him "Ugh!"
He saw flashes of light, and amidst them, he saw a strange black silhouette getting bigger and bigger
It was a spider
-"I… Ekg!" he began to fall down
The words of Runa becoming distant
And everything around him went dark
Meanwhile, far away from the Shirakawa residence, at a big industrial building with exhaust pipes and all types of vehicles and machinery being taken from one place to another, and people wearing white robes
There was an office in which an man in his 40s was sitting behind his desk, and his hands were intertwined
He looked concerned
His phone rang
-"Report!" he said in a commanding voice
-"No luck sir" someone said, a man that spoke in a respectful manner to his superior "We have checked all possible places according to the clues, no signs on the specimen"
-"Damn it!" he slammed his fist into his desk
It was the headquarters for the pharmaceutical company Shield, and this person was his CEO
-"After years of research, do you know what could happen if it falls in the wrong hands!?"
-"I-I understand sir!" the voice on the other end said, somewhat frightened "We'll keep looking!"
And with this, he hung up, and turned his chair around, overlooking the rest of the facilities and parts of the town
-"Can´t believe someone stole the specimen from us!"
Said thief had been captured, but not before, for some reason, releasing the specimen free
Said specimen was an spider
Despite being able to capture the culprit, they had not been able to retrieve the spider
Little did they know, said spider was nothing more than garbage that had been picked up by a school´s janitor
And before that, it bit Ryuuto Kashima
-"Wherever it is, we must find it!" he tightened the grip on his armrest "And if somebody uses it against us, they will pay!"
Saturday, June the 6th 2020
-"Nghh" the glimmer of light that entered through the window hit Ryuutos eyes
He squinted his eyes, covering them with a hand "Wah"
He opened them fully, shocked at where he was at
-"A hospital room!?"
-"RYUUTO!" someone hugged him tightly, tears falling "THANK THE HEAVENS YOU´RE SAFE!"
-"Mom?" he asked, awkwardly returning the hug
-"How are you feeling?" his father asked concerned
-"Do you need anything?" his sister asked
-"N-No" he was confused
-"Kashi!" Yuusuke yelled, wiping the tears of his face
-"Don't scare us like that!" Ren yelled, relieved yet horrified for what had transpired
-"I'm sorry, but" he broke the hug with his mom "What's going on here?"
-"You passed out" someone said, approaching the group
Ryuuto recognized this man
It was their family´s Doctor
-"Dr. Parker" Ryuuto smiled "It's good to see you"
-"I am happy to see you as well, Kashima-kun. I only wish it was under better circumstances"
-"Yeah, I" he grabbed his head "I remember everything now"
Him feeling the pain, struggling to breath
And passing out
-"Sorry for worrying you all!" he looked down, ashamed
-"What matter is that you´re safe" the doctor looked to his side "And it was thanks to this young lady for acting quickly and calling us"
He looked at Luna, who was standing next to the window, and smiling at him
He spotted signs of dries tears on her cheeks, her makeup was slightly removed due to it
-"Thank goodness you're safe"
-"Um, thank you for your help"
-"It´s Shirakawa-san in the flesh" Yuusuke whispered, eyes white and dumbfounded
-"I know! It's a dream come true!" Ren whispered back
Ryuuto could not help but grumble "Really, now of all times?!"
-"She told us you two were studying at her house" his mom said
-"Y-Yes!" he replied quickly, wondering why she told them that
To this, she looked away, whistling
-"You just finished your exams and decided to continue studying?" his father shook his head "Ryuuto, you need to learn to relax more"
-"R-Right"
-"Still, thank goodness she was with you rather than being alone" his mom said, she then looked at her and clapped her hands joyfully "You´re such a cutie by the way"
-"Oh, it was no problem" she blushed
-"It seems they got to know each other while I was unconscious"
After that, Yuusuke and Ren left, while his family was talking to the doctor
-"I'm really glad you´re safe" Luna said, sitting next to him on a chair
-"Yeah" he looked down "Sorry for causing you so much trouble"
-"You didn't cause me any issue" she looked down, eyebrows dropped "In fact, I was worried that I was the one who caused this"
-"Eh? Why´d you think that?"
-"Well" she scratched her cheek "You passed out right after I asked if you wanted to"
-"Eek!" Ryuuto had to covered his mouth to prevent the scream from escaping him "No, that was not the issue"
Granted, he had no idea what caused him to pass out, but he didn't want her to blame herself
-"I was just shocked!" he added, slightly red "I mean, we just started dating, you didn't even know my name before any of this"
She looked at him, puzzled "Well, yes, but you´re… My boyfriend" she whispered so one could hear her "Sorry, with all that has happened, I don't think it's the right moment to tell your family we are dating"
Ryuuto felt relieved that she was not ashamed of him
-"I see, but getting back on topic, you just met me, what if I'm a pervert? Or a jerk?"
-"Eh?" the beauty was confused "Are you one?"
-"No, I´m not, it's just a figure of speech, what I´m saying is that you haven´t got to know me properly yet"
-"But I don´t understand" she was even more lost "Don´t boys think about this all the time when being with their girlfriends?" she looked down "Unless" she felt sad
-"N-No, I mean" he had to clarified this "What I meant is, I want to properly appreciate our relationship properly before doing" he gulped "That"
To this, she furrowed
-"What's with that reaction?" Ryuuto could not help but panic "Or, do you want to do it so badly?"
To this, she looked worried, eyebrows down "I´ve never asked myself before. I… always thought it was like an obligation when dating someone, otherwise, they might go to another girl for that, right?"
It clicked on him, what she said before
-"You think I got bored and dropped them, right? Well, it's the opposite. When I'm dating someone, I'm quite loyal. If somebody else flirts with me, I reject them immediately because I have a boyfriend already" and "Don't boys think about this all the time when being with their girlfriends?"
-"It means that it was Shirakawa-san´s previous boyfriends lost interest on her, not the other way around"
He understood the why, if you could have sex with someone fast, youd lost interest right away and start looking for someone else
Realizing this, Ryuuto tightened the his grip on the sheets
It's not that she wanted to have sex, but rather, boys would take advantage of her not knowing or taking guess to have sex with her
And if he were to have sex with her, when she's not certain of it, or taking advantage of her confusion
-"I would just be like her previous boyfriends"
And he didn't want that
He wanted to have sex with her… But not like this
-"I do want to do that, Shirakawa-san" he said gently "But when the time is right, when we both genuinely want to"
If Yuusuke and Ren were to hear him saying this, they would kick his ass
-"Hmm" she put a hand on his chin "When I want to"
-"Sorry" Ryuuto grabbed his head "I must sound weird"
-"No, I understand" she looked at him, feeling satisfied "I understand what you're saying. Moreover, you should rest for today, you´ve been unconscious since yesterday afternoon after all"
Ryuuto´s eyes went wide
-"It was friday yesterday" he felt silly "Good idea"
-"But" she leaned closer "When I do want to have sex with you Ryuuto" she winked at him "Would you be open to that?"
To this, he was not nervous, but rather, relieved that they both had agreed to that "Yes"
-"Then, please continue after looking me" she whispered "My boyfriend"
Boyfriend… He still could not believe it
But one thing was certain
He was not going to be like her previous boyfriends
Ryuuto was discharged from the hospital after his blood tests had been normal, but he was told he should rest
-"Thank goodness tomorrow is Sunday" he thought while walking into his room "I really should rest"
He should also make up to Luna for worrying her so much
-"Not the best way to start a relationship" he put a hand on his chin "I should take her somewhere"
But where?
That's when he looked at his desk, and saw a brochure advertising the opening of a new bowling alley
-"Oh yeah" he grabbed the brochure "They were giving these at the train station. It should be a good place to start"
It has been a while since he played bowling though
With his free hand, he stretched his index, pointer fingers and thumb forward, while curdling his ring and middle fingers into his palm, imitating when holding the bowling ball
And what happened next was something that no one, regardless if they had dated someone or not, had experienced before
He heard a twhipp noise, and a broad, net-shaped mesh released from his wrist and all the way to his wall, attaching to it
It was whitish and looked like silk, looking shattered and like glass
-"Eh?!" Ryuuto´s face went blue at this "What the?!"
Hesitantly, he poked the strange rope with a finger
It felt sticky
But that was not the worst
The worst was that, following the direction that had come from
He realized that it came from a strange mark on his wrist, specifically, on the bottom part of it, close to his palm
In other words, it came from him
-"A strange net… Came from me" when it dawned on him, there was only one thing he could do
-"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!?"
Little did he know, this was the beginning of his biggest trial
And that´s the end of that. I am following the events of the light novel, but obviously, there will changes to the original plot down the line, in more than one way
Next time, Ryuuto will explore his new powers
