Author's Note: Hey, everyone. So this fanfic has been on my mind for a long while, and since I'll be skipping the Web Techs this weekend, I figured this would be the best time to start it.

Yes, this is a crossover with Sonic the Hedgehog taking part in the events of My Adventures with Superman. A lot of people have been wanting me to do a fanfic with the latter show, and I don't blame them. It's pretty fantastic, especially the second season.

In case anyone's wondering, I'll be basing this Sonic on the one in the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie series. I may use a couple of elements from other versions of Sonic too, but it'll mainly be based on the live action movies.

Anyway, enjoy the fanfic. I hope it starts of good. Any and all comments are welcome.

It started out as an average day in the city of Metropolis. Sunny skies. People going about their daily every day lives. It was all perfectly average for this big city.

That is, until…

BOOM!

The crowd of bystanders were screaming and running away from the storm of electric bolts that flashed around the city block chaotically. The only ones who were left in that area were a certain group of people. Two of them were a black man and a half-Asian woman who were hiding to avoid the lightning storms. Another person who was hiding was a man with mechanical armor and white hair.

At the very center of the lightning was someone who was shooting it out of her body, a woman in an advanced tech suit. She wasn't just shooting bolts of electricity. She was using it to pick up nearby cars and toss them to her enemies. Her enemies included a man who was flying in the air wearing a red cape and a blue outfit that had the letter S on his chest.

The other enemy was someone who wasn't even human. Although he stood and ran like a person, he was actually a large hedgehog with blue hair that reached out the back of his head. He ran around the area avoiding the lightning bolts and the cars that the woman threw at him and the flying man. The thing is, though, the hedgehog was running at incredible, inhuman speed leaving a brief trail of blue light behind him.

"Freaks!" the electric woman shouted at the flying man and the hedgehog. "YOU made me lose my robots! YOU ruined my operation! YOU PUT A TARGET ON MY BACK!"

"Hey, flying dude, look out!" the hedgehog yelled just as he saw the car being tossed to his companion. He shot up as fast as he could and knocked him out of the way before continuing to run avoiding the hail of lighting that was thrown at him.

"So I know what you're thinking. 'Why is that incredibly handsome hedgehog running from a genderbent Raiden? And why is he fighting her with a flying man with a colorful outfit?' Well, to be honest, it feels like I've been running my whole life. Is this too much? Am I going too fast? It's kind of what I do. You know what? Let's back up."

TEN YEARS EARLIER

The very young hedgehog—named Sonic—ran all over a beautiful, green island on another planet with peculiar landmarks, even a looping road. Like in present day, Sonic ran at incredible speed, which he used to run and bounce everywhere.

"This is the island where I'm from. It had everything. Sandy beaches. Cascading waterfalls. Public access to loop-de-loops. And I never had to catch a school bus because I could run across the entire island in less than two seconds. Also, there was no school. I know, pretty sweet island, right?

"I was born with extraordinary powers and was told to keep them a secret. And like any kid, I did the exact opposite."

After little Sonic's latest thrilling run, he returned to his hut where he was greeted by a large owl, who watched him return with worry in her eyes.

"That's Longclaw. She took care of me. She was basically Obi-Wan Kenobi… of Obi-Wan Kenobi had a beak and ate mice."

"Sonic, someone could have seen you." Longclaw said.

"No one saw me. I'm too fast." Sonic replied imitating his super speed. "And I wanted to bring you this." He pulled out a small sunflower.

Longclaw couldn't help but smile at Sonic's kindness. She leaned in to take the sunflower, but something happened that made her stop.

Right behind Sonic, through the open door, she spotted a masked figure with red fur standing on a tree branch and aiming an arrow to be shot at them both.

"GET DOWN!" Longclaw shouted as she covered Sonic and slammed the door letting the arrow stop once it was halfway through.

"Turns out with great power comes great power-hungry bad guys. And I led them right to us."

That didn't stop the attacker from advancing into the hut along with several other creatures with similar-looking appearances. They surrounded Longclaw preparing to trap her, but she wasn't willing to give up without a fight.

Longclaw grasped Sonic withinin her talons and flying right through the nearest window facing away from the intruders. She focused entirely on flying ahead as far and fast as she could while avoiding the arrows that tried to hit her.

"Yeah. It was pretty wild and confusing, even for a kid. But things weren't getting any better. As it turned out, whoever those guys were, they quickly became the least of our troubles."

Just then, both Longclaw and Sonic felt a disturbing presence coming from behind just as the skies began to change into an eerie shade of red. And through the clouds, a figure descended down. Even the intruders who attacked Longclaw stopped to look back as their apocalypse was just beginning.

Sonic watched in fear and saw that the figure was somehow launching red blasts that destroyed everything they hit resulting in huge explosions. And the red rays always got closer as if they were trying to catch up. It even destroyed the masked creatures who attacked Longclaw and Sonic. It all ended when one last red beam basically hit its target.

Longclaw wasn't entirely hit by the last beam, but it did graze her wing burning it intensely. She let out a pained yell and quickly plummeted. She broke with through the trees and landed on the ground. Although she was hurt, her priority was keeping Sonic safe. Once she was sure he was fine, she stood back up and placed Sonic on the ground.

"Longclaw, what's going on?" Sonic asked. "Who is that guy? Are you hurt?"

Longclaw didn't answer Sonic's questions directly. Instead, she gave what sounded like her last words meant for her. "Listen carefully, Sonic. You have a power unlike anything I have ever seen. And that means someone will always want it, or worse, hurt you for having it. The only way to stay safe is to stay hidden."

Longclaw reached into her pouch and pulled out a small, golden ring which she then tossed ahead. Suddenly, it stopped in midair and grew in size. It gave a beautiful glow revealing another forest right through it. Unlike the forest they were in, the other forest was covered with darkness, as though it was nighttime. The moon shined over the area.

"This world is on the far side of the universe." Longclaw said. "You should be safe there."

"I don't want to go without you." Sonic begged.

"You must." Longclaw insisted. She then gave him his pouch where she picked out the gold ring. The sound it made meant there were a lot more inside. "These rings will be your most important possession. If you're ever discovered, use on."

Longclaw gasped when she saw the flying figure heading in her and Sonic's direction. Quickly, she pushed Sonic toward the ring portal.

"Never stop running. Now go!"

At his guardian's insistence, Sonic jumped though the portal and made it into the dark forest at nighttime. He ran a great distance before he looked back. He saw Longclaw with her back turned to the portal as the dark figure raced after her.

"LONGCLAW!" Sonic yelled deciding to turn around and run back to her.

Longclaw gave one last look at Sonic giving him a soft, sad smile. "Goodbye, Sonic."

"NO!" Sonic yelled again. He ran as fast as he could right to the portal. He jumped right after it, but he didn't return back to his home island. The ring evaporated just a nanosecond before he could even touch it.

Sonic was still in the forest panting heavily in sadness. He continued to run around the forest until he found something that caught his attention. Just outside of the woods, his eyes were fixed at a big, beautiful city with skyscrapers far as he could see.

Sonic was on the planet Earth, with Metropolis right next door.

After sending Sonic away, Longclaw rested herself on the ground as the dark figure hovered over her. She gazed up at the attacker, a large, intimidating figure in black-and-red armor covering their entire body and a large, red cape hung from their shoulders.

"Where is the other one?" the armored figure asked with their voice muffled through the mechanical armor. "Where did you send him?"

"Somewhere safe." Longclaw answered. "Somewhere your master won't find him." She took a pained breath before looking up at the figure once more with compassion in her eyes. "I know why you're doing this, and I forgive you. I know it's not your fault."

The figure paused for a moment. For that brief second, it looked like they were hesitating. However, they regained their composure and looked back down at Longclaw.

"It doesn't matter. We will find him eventually. And when we do, like the rest of the galaxy, he… will… kneel."

Longclaw closed her eyes awaiting the final blast that would then be fired upon her at point-blank range. She was at peace knowing that Sonic was safe. That's all that mattered to her.

PRESENT DAY

The sound of the alarm woke up the half-Asian woman with short hair known as Lois Lane. Immediately after waking up, she jumped out of bed as energetic as she ever could be.

"It's today!" Lois cheered as she banged on the alarm clock to shut it down. However, it wasn't enough to silence the alarm. She hit it multiple times trying in vain to shut it off. Eventually, she yelled out in frustration and pulled the plug on it.

"All right, Lois." She said to herself. She headed over to her own pin-up board. "Today, just be extraordinary!" She pinned a drawing of a black robot in the board before practicing a conversation with her boss. "'Mr. White, thank you for calling me in today, because I have one heck of a story for you! Pew-pew!' …No. Don't do that to your boss."

After that, the energetic Lois Lane headed to the bathroom to freshen up and brush her teeth. Once she was done, she looked at her reflection with confidence.

"This is it! This is the story that'll make you a real reporter! You can do this."

Lois took one last breath before leaving her apartment. She got in her car and prepared to begin her day.

Unbeknownst to her, there was a slow-moving turtle crawling over to the entrance of the parking lot. Lois didn't see it as she drove over towards it. The front-right wheel was going to crush it until…

ZOOM!

In an instant, a flash of blue light appeared. Lois caught the blue and stopped her car immediately. She was confused for a second that the light was gone. She looked around, but didn't see anything strange.

"That's weird." she shrugged before leaving the parking lot.

As it turned out, the turtle was picked up and just as quickly brought to the rooftop of an adjacent building. The turtle looked up at his rescuer, a teenage Sonic the Hedgehog, who brushed off the dirt on his shell.

"Whoa, buddy. You almost got killed down there." Sonic said. "What are you, some kind of adrenaline junkie? Must be rough being slow all the time. Tell you what. Today is your lucky day."

With the song "Don't Stop Me Now" playing in his head, Sonic quickly ran out of the city and into the forest with his turtle in his hands. He held him up in front of him giving a full experience of super speed, which clearly excited the turtle.

"WHOO-HOO! HAVE YOU EVER FELT SO ALIVE!" Sonic yelled. He held the turtle up to raise his experience. He slipped out of his hand and fell for a second, but Sonic immediately rushed back and caught him before he could get hurt. "GOOD RECOVERY!"

After a few more laps around the forest, Sonic stopped and placed the turtle down on the dirt ground. The turtle was shaking, so Sonic did his best to calm him down.

"Let's keep this our little secret, okay? You never saw me. I was never here."

After securing the turtle, Sonic ran deeper into the forest until he stopped in a small cave of his own making. Inside, he sat in his bean bag chair, played ping-pong with himself, read every issue of comic books he had, rocked out on a balloon guitar, and much more. And with his super speed, he did it all very quickly.

"So what were you expecting? A dirty, little hedgehog eating berries and struggling to survive? Think again. Because I am living my best life on Earth. I've got a library, a home gym, and a state-of-the-art security system."

Sonic was having so much fun, he accidentally knocked over his bag of gold rings along with a handdrawn map of the galaxy. Worried, Sonic quickly gathered up all the rings and returned them into his bag, but not before taking one of them out. He threw it ahead and opened another portal. This time, what waited on the other side was a whole, new planet made covered entirely with mushrooms. The sight of it made Sonic miserable just looking at it.

"And if I'm ever discovered, I'll follow Longclaw's instructions and use my rings to escape to a new planet. A nice, safe little world filled only with mushrooms. Gross, smelly mushrooms."

"I hate mushrooms." Sonic sighed before closing the portal before leaving his cave.

Sonic returned to Metropolis staying on the rooftops and making sure nobody could see him.

"But let's not worry about all that. This is Metropolis. The greatest place on Earth. These are my people and, dare I say, I am their loveable space creature. So what if they don't know I exist? Sure, it's a big city filled with millions of people who are likely to see me, but that's why I chose specific places where I can rest with absolutely zero chance of being spotted. Luckily for me, most of the citizens are too busy with their own personal lives to even acknowledge something as unusual as a super-fast space hedgehog.

"My favorite person is Lois Lane, or as I like to call her, the Coffee Girl. I don't know why, but she reminds me a lot of Longclaw. She's strong. Determined. And above all, kind. I call her Coffee Girl because she brings coffee to her boss, the chief editor for the Daily Planet. She wants to be a reporter herself, and believe it or not, I'm actually rooting for her. She certainly has what it takes.

"Movie night is my favorite. Just the other night, I caught Coffee Girl sitting in home watching my favorite movie, Speed. Let me tell you, Keanu Reeves is a national treasure. Basically, Lois and I are like a family, even though we haven't met yet."

Sonic ran around Metropolis and stopped in an empty therapy office where he pretended to be in a session. With his super speed, he played the part of a therapist with a German accent and a patient who's projecting his real, actual feelings.

"You don't zink your prolonged isolation is making you a bit crazy perhaps?"

"Crazy? Me? Hahaha! No way, doc. You got me all wrong."

"And despite all these so-called friends of yours, deep down…" He stopped to speak sadly. "…You're still rather lonely?" As much as he hated to admit it, he always felt at his worst having to walk away from Lois' movie nights. "Perhaps afraid you'll be alone forever?"

Yeah. That was the sad life of Sonic the Hedgehog since the very moment he set foot on Earth. Little did he know that very soon, everything was going to change for him and the Earth. And it's all thanks to the help of another alien who's far from home.
