Bear in mind that this is a fanfic and things maybe exaggerated and the characters backstories will be off but I tried. After Prototype is killed and everyone else is brought back to life the group Smiling Critters try their best to move on from their trauma and most of them manage to handle it well but CatNap is still trying to make up for this while dealing with trauma of his own

8. Monster

"Aaaaaw they're hugging"said Bobby clasping her hands together absolutely adoring this scene

"What are you all doing here?"said CatNap

Huggy grabs both Hoppy and CatNap

"WE'RE GOING OUTSIDE"Huggy exclaimed

"But I don't want t-"said CatNap

"NO EXCUSES"yelled Huggy

"GET OFF!"yelled CatNap

Huggy flinched a bit and let him go

"Cmon CatNap... we just wanna spend time with you"said Bobby

"NO! GET OUT!"yelled CatNap

DogDay wriggled out of Huggy's grasp and immediately tried to console the distressed cat

"CatNap, cmon... no ones gonna hurt you..."said DogDay

"AND THATS THE PROBLEM! THATS EVERYONES PROBLEM... YOU'RE ALL IDIOTS FOR THINKING IVE CHANGED, YOU'RE IDIOTS FOR THINKING IM A GOOD PERSON IM NOT... you're all so... so..."CatNap paused

Everyone stood there hurt, tearing up and sympatheticlly... CatNap hated it

"Mo-"said DogDay reaching out for him

CatNap slapped his hand away

"Get out..."CatNap said aggressively

DogDay teared up

"But-"said DogDay

"ARE YOU DEAF? Get... out!!!"yelled CatNap

"NO! I CAN'T LOSE YOU AGAIN... I NEED YOU"yelled DogDay

"NO YOU DON'T IM NOT A SMILING CRITTER, IM NOT A FRIEND, IM A MONSTER... A MONSTER YOU PITIFUL MUTT"yelled CatNap

"Woah guys cool i-"said Kissy

"IDIOT!!! WHY CAN'T YOU JUST BE NORMAL... WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO BE SUCH A FREAK!!!!"yelled DogDay

CatNap flinched remembering all the taunting back at Playcare, all the nasty looks from the scientists, all the mistreatment

"DOGDAY"yelled Mrs Delight

DogDay's hard gaze immediately softened as he realised the gravity of his cruel words

"CatNap I-"said DogDay

CatNap slowly starts filling the room with red gas

"Get out"said CatNap tearing up

Everyone immediately covered up their mouths and rushed out the the room closing the door behind them

"DogDay that was stupid!"Bobby scolded

"I know... I didn't want it to go that far... he's crying... I hurt him... I HURT HIM AGAIN"yelled DogDay tearing up

CatNap was breathing heavily as a dark purple paw emerged deep within the potent gas

"YOURE PATHETIC"

"YOU PUSHED HIM AWAY AGAIN"

"YOU DON'T DESERVE LOVE"

"NO ONE LOVES YOU"

"NO ONE WOULD EVER WANT YOU"

"MONSTER, MONSTER"

CatNap covered his ears heaving his lungs out slowly believing the words that were being whispered to him. His hideous form's face whizzed past screaming one word and one word only… MONSTER, making the poor cat jump. As his room progressively became more and more unrecognisable the insidious figure that had tormented the purple cat for months was gradually growing and before he knew it the tall disgusting cat loomed over him, eyes full off nothing but malicous intent, a spinechilling grin ripping from ear to ear, the physique of a haunting skeleton... a monster corrupting every detail of CatNap's half artificial brain and soul

"YOU PUSHED EVERYONE WHO LOVED YOU AWAY BECAUSE YOU NEVER LOVED THEM! YOU NEVER HAVE BECAUSE MONSTERS LIKE US NEVER FEEL ANYTHING, LET ME IN... LET ME IN! LET ME IN!"

"NO, LEAVE ME ALONE PLEASE"yelled CatNap thrashing his his feeling the river flow out his eyes cascading tears through the air

"DO WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY INTENDED AND KILL THEM!!!!"

"NO THEY DON'T DESERVE THIS!!!"yelled CatNap

"OH YEAH?! WHAT ABOUT THE HELL THEY PUT US THROUGH?! ALL THOSE TIMES WE WERE ABANDONED?! THEY NEVER CARED FOR YOU SO WHY SHOULD WE CARE FOR THEM?!"

"DogDay cares..."said CatNap

"IDIOT WHY CAN'T YOU JUST BE NORMAL... WHY ARE YOU SUCH A FREAK!!!"

"STOP"yelled CatNap

"Freak... Freak... Freak"

"Im sorry... Im sorry DogDay"sobbed CatNap pulling down his ears in distress

"Freak... Freak... FREAK"

"DOGDAY IM SORRY, I DIDN'T MEAN IT... DON'T LEAVE ME HERE"yelled CatNap in desparation

"FREAK, FREAK, FREAK, FREAK, FREAAAAAK"

"DON't LEAVE ME"yelled CatNap curling up and crying on the floor

Meanwhile...

Everyone was in the living room in silence, Bobby was comforting DogDay cuddling up to him and everyone else was sitting down on the floor

"We could still... do something guys..."said Huggy

"No Huggy..."said Kissy

"We can't leave CatNap here with the state he's in..."said Poppy

"I could stay here and make sure he's okay"said Bobby turning to them

"Is that really a good idea right now? I mean it'll only be you looking after him and we won't be here to break up any arguments you two'll have..."said Boxy

"It'll be okay... and Kicken'll be here so if things get heated then he can break it up even if he isn't the most... ideal peace negotiater"said Bobby

"I don't know... are you sure you can handle him?"said Mrs Delight

"Yeah... Its okay and DogDay needs a nice distraction with you guys after that fight"said Bobby rubbing DogDay's back

"I should stay... I need to apologise to him he didn't deserve that"said DogDay desperately

"Sigh DogDay he needs space... and you need to get your mind off it... please trust me..."said Bobby

"O... okay"said DogDay

"Bobby... are you sure?"said CraftyCorn

"Mhm really guys I'll be fine"said Bobby

"ALRIGHT WOO HOO, THANKS BOBBY"yelled Huggy immediately wrapping his arms around everyone except for Bobby

"Hehe its nothing..."Bobby giggled

Player and Mommy walk in and see the display

"Having a cuddle session are we?"said Player smirking

"AH Player! Just in time! No we were just gonna go out for a few hours"said Huggy

"And do what exactly?"said Mommy

"WE WERE GONNA GO SWIMMING AT YOURS!!!"Huggy hollered

"Aaaaw seriously? I just got here"said Mommy

"You could stay here with Bobby..."said Bubba

"No no I'll come... wait Bobby? Why are you staying sweetheart?"said Mommy

"Oh uh we got into a bit of a squabble with CatNap so Im just staying here to make sure he's okay"said Bobby

"Oh... sheesh sorry to hear about that... uh is he gonna be okay?"said Player

"Yeah yeah hehe"said Bobby

"Do you want me to stay with you?"said Player

"No no honestly its okay, go have fun all of you..."said Bobby

"Okay well if something goes wrong give me a call"said Player

"Of course!"said Bobby

"Alright gang lets head out"said Player

"YEAAAAAH BABYYYYY"yelled Huggy

"Jesus shut up Huggy"said Poppy

They all walk out laughing while Bobby watched them smiling to herself. Once they were gone Bobby sat on the couch and turned on the television and turning on Big Bang Theory

Meanwhile...

CatNap was still sobbing on the floor but the voice seemed to have cleared up so he slowly got up hiccuping and shaking, he was still breathing heavily and completely exhausted. After a moment or two of CatNap regaining his breath he felt light headed, assuming it was dehydration CatNap went downstairs and entered the kitchen grabbing a glass and running the sink. He then heard heavy footsteps and hoarse breathing, CatNap immediately felt his fur stand on end as a shiver pierces through his spine, he then saw red smoke in the corners of his eye which gave away the fact that the monstrous figure was looming over him. He then felt something cold and sharp graze the back of his neck immediately kickstarting his fight or flight instincts. In a state of panic CatNap immediately grabbed a kitchen knife and spun round hoping to slash at the monster and kill it.

Bobby stood there with her throat slashed and blood flowing down her neck to her chest as she gurgled horrifically with a look of pure fear and pain welling in her eyes.
