Getting Schooled

]|P|[

"Seriously Again!" Slate shouted annoyance as he was again lost only this time it wasn't cause of a techincal error but instead the fault of a dense fog covering the area. "Why haven't I caught a single Flying-type!"

"Flying-type one of the eighteen types. Flying-type moves are super-effective against Bug-, Fighting-, and Grass-type Pokémon, while Flying-type Pokémon are weak to Electric-, Ice-, and Rock-type moves." Someone spouted the poke fact from somewhere.

"Huh what's this about Rock-types?" he asked picking the last thing said.

"Rock-Types have a Statistical average of 525.90." another fact spouted through the fog.

Following the voice Slate cups his hands over his mouth. "Ice-Types?"

"Ice-type Pokémon cannot get frozen."

Hearing voice but closer Slate spoke again. "Steel-Type?

"There are 75 Steel-type Pokémon or 7.38% of all Pokémon counting those that are Steel-type in at least one of their forms, including regional forms, making them the fifth rarest type after Electric but before Rock."

"Hmm learn something new." Slate said actually glad to learn these facts seeing as Oak teaching could only cover so much. "Dragon."

"Many Dragon-type Pokémon are pseudo-legendary or Legendary Pokémon. In addition to having the highest base HP of all Pokémon, Dragon-type Pokémon have the highest average Special Attack of all Pokémon. Dragon is tied with Ghost for being the least resisted type, and pairs well with Ground and Fire-type moves."

"Danm no wonder Lance is the Champion in two Regions." Finally coming up to a tree Slate looks around seeing a man that looked to be in his early to mid twenties. "Hey buddy you okay?"

Finally looking up from his notes the guy's eyes widened in shock. "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he shouted throwing his book into the air. "Who are you!?"

Book now in his hands High Marks Made Easy-PokeTech Academy. "A cheat sheet." Eyeing the book while Slate had no problem against it didn't this guy look to old to going to PokeTech. "He could be a teacher."

"Hey give that back! I payed 5,000 pokedollars for that!" the nerdie shouted hands up balling his fists.

"So maybe not a teacher." Slate tossed the book back. "So what are you doing with a Poketech cheat sheet?"

Placing his finger to his glasses the young adult pushed them up his nose. "Well as a Poketech student it only makes sense I use every resource I can get to pass." he smirked smugness oozing off of him.

"Hey man you do what you got to do." Slate simply said if someone was selling the thing then that ment it must be legal somewhere. "So what are you doing studying out here in fog don't you have a dorm or something?"

Hearing this the adult student placed his hand over his heart with a look of pure agony. "The other student have blocked me out claiming I don't belong there."

"Hmm must suck, why don't you go out there and beat them in a battle. Your a trainer school so having actual skill in battle must give you some clout."

Now moving his arm over his eyes as if hiding tears. "Oh I-I would and I definitely could b-but the school forbids in class battles until a certain tournement every two weeks. I missed the last few to study." he said.

Slate deadpanned as he mentally pointed out several flaws in the story. "So what are you gonna do?"

"Hey your a trainer right?" Slate nodded positive. "Then you must have badges at least one."

"Actually I have two." thses words caused the student's eyes to shine.

Eyeing Slate the student got an idea. "I can't battle them school rules but if someone else were to battle instead then that just happens."

"Wouldn't me fighting your battles for you not actually solve your problem but make it worse as people will comment on the fact you needed to pay for safety."

"P-Pay?"

"I'm not a charity." Slate simply said knowing Poketech was a prestigious school heck Gary was offered a free ride here only to reject it to study under his Grandfather. Since this guy clearly didn't graduate on time he must have money to spare.

Using his middle finger to push up his glasses the student began to smirk. Money the basic incentive to all and the perfect motivator to this rube. "Okay how much?!" truly it could be that much.

"We'll talk exact numbers later but I do want a Macho Brace." he quickly said finally seeing a chance to take his training to the next level. While he had picked up a few tricks from Reggie he still wanted to push even futher.

"Huh?" he asked more then said clearly surprised at the request. "I-I ah mean sure I can get one of those."

"Cool which way is the school."

Grinning at the news the student rubbed his hands at the news. "That way."

"Okay my team and I could use a good workout." Shrugging his shoulders at the response. "If your lying to me I'll put you through a wall." there was a dangerous undertone to the comment. "Hey what's your name anyway?"

"N-Nobi." (1)

]|P|[

"JOE!" Jumping at his name being heard a young teen wearing a Pokémon Tech blue uniform suit with a school crest, under a light yellow long sleeved shirt. Standing before him where three teens looking around his age if not a little older.

"Uhh Yes Mike, Jimmy and Jeff!" he squeeked out in fear.

"I told everyone to call me Jim!"

Rolling eyes at his classmates outburst Mike had a smirk on his face. "Let's go! It's time for your study session." And by study they ment Joe running on a treadmill while answering random questions.

Just as Joe was about to sigh in defeat for his fate.

"Bubblebeam!" A voice shouted outside as a loud rumble erupted though the halls. "That's what I'm talking about!"

"Whose that?" Mike asked the four going to the window to see someone around their age battle one of the students in their class.

"I have no idea."

"Maybe a transfer student."

"What's he doing with that loser Nobi?"

"Okay whos..." whatever he was going to say was halted as a bright light engulf his Tadpole Pokemon. From the sideline everyone saw the pokemon grow and change. And the once armless tadpole grew bigger along with a pair of arms.

"WHIRL!" The newly evolved Poliwhirl roared to the world.

"Hey maybe you can get that new move down now." Slate said getting a thumbs up from his newly evoloved pokemon.

"You seen it here folks who wants to challenge my friend here!" Nobi shouted to the school excepting his new muscle to back him up. With his back to him Nobi missed Slate thumbed over to him shaking his head in the negative.

"We're not friends." Slate added. "I'm just saying, when I look in his eyes I think he's an egg short of an exeggcute."

"He already has two badges." hearing this most of the upper classmen walked away despite knowing the older lower classman they did care. Besides most of them had at least four theoretical badges plus they had classes.

"He's unbeatable!"

"I lost like three matches today, who battles a Nidoran with a Rhyperior." Slate grumbled under his breathe that one was a tough Sitrus Berry to shallow.

Nobi's smile got even more smug as many of his classmates walked away. Even the upperclassmen were afraid this is the greatest idea he'd ever had. He originally thought bringing this no name trainer to the school to get beat around would get a few laughs, but this was even better no one could mock him if everyone lost to this guy. And once he was thoroughly exhausted from the none stop battles Nobi would appear like the Legendary (he liked to think he was) pokemon and defeat him gaining the fame and respect he deserved.

"When's lunch?"

"W-What!"

"Where's lunch I've been out here for an hour and me and my pokemon need a break." Slate pointed behind him revealing Ivysaur, Nidoran , his newly added Beedrill and Gible were all in a pile panting. In front of him Poliwhirl despite just evoloving was on his back even Scyther was leaning against a tree one eye open looking as beat down as the rest of his team.

Still on his high of his victory standing up straight chest puffed out to look as intimidating as possible Nobi stride forward. "Lunch!? You think your getting a lunch I hired you to do a job and your going to do it."

All the bravado flew out the window once Slate walked up to the young adult pulling him down to eye level with a tug of his collar unlike Nobi, Slate actually was intimidating due in part to his musclar frame due to his training.

"My team comes before anything else." his threat was short, sweet and to the point.

"It's that way." One of the quartet of Mike, Jim, Jeff and Joe quickly said while Nobi was no friend of theirs they still didn't want him dead. "But you'll need one of these to get food they even have the best pokemon food." Smirking Mike said pulling out a card with the school's name on it. "It works as a credit card."

Savage grin covered Slate's face as he reached into Nobi's coat pulling out his own card. "Thanks."

Tears started falling down Nobi's face his parents were gonna kill him.

As Slate walked away he failed to notice the figure watching him from the shadows.

]|P|[

The students at Pokémon Tech had seen many both good and bad but this was on a whole other level.

"A-Are you full yet?"

"Nope! More please." Slate said along with his pokemon as there plates and bowls were refilled this was the sixt...make that seventh refill. "So good! You rich kids really got it good."

"I'm glad to see your enjoying trying to eat us out of house and home." a voice at the entrance asked.

Food was forgotten at the sight before him.

Walking through the cafe was a beautiful woman roughly his age with long flowing Maroon hair, wearing the girls verison of the school uniform. The white short sleeve shirt and even the blue vest were stretched across large, round perky breasts, narrow waist, the dark blue mini skirt wrapped around wide hips, thick creamy thighs and a pair of white leg warmers with mary janes that click with each step.

Blue eyes stared in red neither looked away refusing to lose the staring contest. After what felt like hours the two dropped the stare down. "So anyone else want to battle?" Slate asked food forgotten his pokemon following suit.

Hearing the challenge smirk graced her lips as she struck a pose back arced, one leg crossed over the other, right hand behind her head the other pointed forward.

"I'm the top student in the beginning class of the most exclusive club in the world, Pokémon Tech. It's sad that others aren't blessed with my beauty, my talent, my humble attitude. People call me a star, but I'm just Giselle." She finished it with a wink.

"That's a bit much." Slate thought before he could voice this an eruption of cheers surrounded him.

"YEAH!/ALRIGHT!/I LOVE YOU GISELLE!/YOUR AMAZING!"

"I LOVE YOU GISELLE!" Nobi shout a lustful gaze on his face as it was the rest of the boys.

Slate's eyebrow twitched at the chorus of fanboys. "So we doing this or not?"

Done soaking up the praise Giselle pointed. "Outside."

]|P|[

Slate found himself again outside the school at the school battle field across from him Giselle. "So you ready to do this?"

Rather then answer Giselle withdrew her pokeball giving it a kiss.

"Oh I wish I was that Pokeball!/Kiss me for luck!/I got some balls I'd like her to kiss!

Deadpanning at the comments Slate threw his ball into the field.

"Throwdown Scyther!"

"Go...Graveler!"

"Every Fucking Time!"

"Hahaha Oh how unfortunate I guess this will be an easy match. Though I'm sure you'll be fine after all you do have two badges." she said giving a classic princess laugh.

"Remember no TM's." While he had finally calmed since the Cerulean City Gym Scyther still wasn't at 100% only being able to use moves he'd learn natuarally without locking up.

Outburst over Slate began the battle. "Scyther use Sword Dance." "SCYTHER!" Bladed arms raised into the air the bug/flying type released a burst of air as his Attack stats increased.

Confident as ever Giselle smirked as she gave out a simple order. "Graveler use Smack Down!" Slate looked to his pokemon who merely shrugged his shoulder at the unfamiliar move. Hearing the order Graveler opens its mouth as metallic gold orb of energy that is surrounded in orange energy appears in front of it. Seconds later the rock type released the orb.
"Dodge it now!" but it was to late as the orb crashed into the bug/flying type doing quad effective damage as he crashed into the ground. "Scyther!" Slate silently cursed the rock type was faster then he suspected. He however smiled as his pokemon quickly got back to his feet.

"Sword Dance." The Mantis Pokemon gave a mighty cry as his Attack Stats increased again. Since he couldn't use Steel Wing he needed to make sure every attack did the most damage possible.

"You know for someone with TWO BADGES you'd know not to use the same attack over and over. The Pokémon Tech student smirked preparing for her two step combo. "Graveler used Defense Curl followed by Rollout." Jumping into the air Graveler pulls its arms and legs in and curls itself into a ball. Just as it landed on the ground rolling toward the opponent with incredible speed and power.

Before Slate could give an order the rolling ball of doom crashed into the bug type sending him to the ground. With being given an order the rock type made a turn hoping to simply run it's opponet over.

"Scyther Double Team!" getting to his feet Scyther's body glows multicolored before creating more copies of himself. Just in time as Graveler came barreling in luckily only hitting one of the illusion only to stop on a dime to runover another.

Another clone was run over by the Rock-type as Slate gave another order.

"Focus Energy!" A light-blue aura surrounds Scyther. "Slash downward!" with a slash of his blades Scyther created a surprisingly deep trench right in front of the incoming rock type. Rolling into the ditch Graveler shot out soaring through the air.

Follow it with Leer." His eyes glow red. Its red outline heads towards the airborne opponent lowering it's defense.

Clicking her tongue at the move while she could simply reraise Graveler's defense again this wouldn't do for one as smart and breathe taking as her. Giselle tapped her chin cutely in thought.

"Graveler use Dig followed by Rock Throw."

With a cry of it's name Graveler clawed its way underground away from sight. Before Slate could come up with a plan Graveler jumped out of the ground just a few feet behind the Bug-Flying type before releasing multiple rocks from its body at the opponent.

Scyther took the blunt end of the barrage only raising his bladed arms to block the last few rocks smacking into him.

"Scyther!" Slate shouted in concern at the attack he took head on.

Maybe it was strength or maybe pride but Scyther refused to fall standing defiantly at his opponet.

"Cute, time to finish this Graveler Rock Tomb!"

Graveler jumps into the air and lands on the ground. When it lands, giant rocks protrude from the ground before being sent hurling towards the bug type in attempt to caputure it.

"Quick Attack!" Slate shouted not that it was needed as the Mantis Pokemon already took off at a blinding speed jumping from rock to rock making his way to the rock type.

Giselle watch dumbfounded at the state the battle had been going, she had both the type advantage and the schooling but here this trainer was making that useless. What had he been doing while she spent her days studying. So distracted she was unable to give the order as her pokemon was barreled over, it quickly got up though but it clearly hurt thanks to the earlier stat effects.

"Bulldoze!" Gravaler stomps down on the ground and creates a shock wave on the ground. The shock wave then crashes towards the opponent.

Dealing with this move before Slate gave the call. "Jump!" Flapping his wings while using all it's leg power Scyther took to the air over the shockwave much to the surprise of the students.

"Gravaler u...

"Slash!" Scyther came down from the sky scythes glow white while repeatedly slashes Gravaler on top of the head the spot hit flashes light blue sending it to the ground it's had the usual swirls in them signifying a knock out.

"H-How?" Giselle thought to herself as she stared in shock at her loss. She Giselle the Top student in the first year class. She had it all brains, connections, looks with the body to match but at the end it amounted to nothing.

"That's what I'm talking about!" Slate cheered as Scyther crossed his arms shaking his head at his downed opponet. "I think that about does it." Returning his pokemon he turned to his contractor. "Alright Nobi a deals a deal I came a battled and I kicked ass so pay up."

"Huh!"

Hearing this Nobi started to sweat he was hoping Slate had forgotten due to only talking about payment once hours ago. He even lost and hope of defeating himself, Giselle couldn't even do it and she was his classes top student. "Um about that." Nobi rubbed the back of his head sheepishly began stepping back fear.

Hearing the tone of the student Slate looked to the other students. "You told me you can get me a Macho Brace, are you telling me that was a lie."

Be it fear or simply nerves getting the better of him Nobi gave a light chuckle as he rubbed his head. "Well uh you see about that..." Nobi began sweat pouring down even more profusely as the trainer closed in on him.

"Remember what I told you when we first met." a dark aura surrounded him as he grasped the student.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

]|P|[

Slate stood on a hill overlooking the school a smirk etched on his face. "Guess no more school for me." he said giving a silent thanks to Professor Oak's classes. The Professor made sure to cover a little everything that comes from being a trainer for all the hopefuls he sponsored. "You know there's still time to turn back?" Slate clearly annoyed looking behind him.

"Oh trying to get rid of me so soon. You know most guys would kill for the chance to travel with a beauty like me."

"Not saying your not a 10 and I could use something pretty to look at but why? I'm sure your parents spent a fourtune on this place. Just seems like a waste of money."

"I may have been the number one first year student at Poke Tech but you still beat me so there must be something to this Pokemon Journey thing." said none other the Giselle hair flowing in the breeze now white tank top that was stretched out over her large breast the revealed a nice amount of cleavage covered by an open blue vest the same color as her old uniform with white marks around the collar and on the front side at chest level, black shorts with a slanted brown belt to hold her pokeballs and a pair of ankle boots. On her head were a pair of sunglasses. In her hands was a brown suitcase as a pink xtransceiver sat on her wrist.

"Woah." was all Slate said as he looked the girl head to toe he had done his best to avoid eyeing her at the school but now that they were in the outside world he could deny this girl was a beauty. He couldn't help comparing her to Misty the fiery redhead was an inverse of the Maroon haired girl.

Misty had great tits, round, bouncy, and oh so perky. But her absolutely massive ass was her best feature especially in those shorts of hers. He could still remember that view when they first parted ways.

Giselle on the other hand had a booty with some sway with the way she wiggled her hips, but her breasts were a game changer being huge, bouncy, perky and looked like they were having an eternal war with whatever bra she ever bought as she was probably still growing. She might one day give May a run for her money.

"Yeah I have that effect on people." Giselle folded her arms behind her head turning to give a side eye glance as she thrusted her chest out. Those twin peaks of hers jiggled at the sudden movement.

The only thing keeping the teen from staring was the item on her wrist. Slate mentally facepalmed as he forgot to take the one from the lying student. "And I inspired you?" Slate hoping to take his mind off well everything.

Giselle dropped her hands and waved in a so-so gesture. "Like I said your a no name trainer with two badges beating the top student of the first year class then there must be something this whole traveling thing. Plus I'm also just tired of all the guy oogling me. I mean I know I'm beatiful, smart, sexy and just plain amazing but I'm still a budding trainer. I need room to breathe, to spread my wings and fly like the mighty Ho-Oh!"

"You forgot humble." he deadpanned moments laters he extended his hand out. "Whatever just fork it over cause I swear to Arceus if I get scammed by another rich kid."

Quickly slapped into his hand was a small metallic cylinder that made Slate smile at the sight of it- Metal Coat. "One day Scyther."

"Thanks, I doubt Poliwhirl could make the swim even after evolving and none of my pokemon can fly so were walking to Vermilion." he shrugged at the sad truth. "Oh well let's get going we're burning daylight." Slate began walking. "Oh and lesson one learn how to pack, lose the suitcase get a backpack."

"Why?" A trio of question marks surrounded her head why get a new back sure all trainer packs are built to hold much more then they look but her suitcase could carry more then anyone could.

The Pallet Town native gave a side eye glance. "After the first hour you'll know." Giselle could only gaze a brow in confusion. "So how did your classmates take to you leaving?"

She placed her finger on her chin for just a moment before a smirk covered her face. "Oh they were upset but... they found something to do."

]|P|[

"Spread Out! This is all that son of a Growlithe's fault that Giselle's left I want him found and alive! Do whatever you want to him first but I want him breathing when he gets here!"

"Yeah I was gonna ask her today!"

"Like she'd go out with you when I'm here!"

"Focus!"

"Did you check the kitchen?!"

"Check the back of the class!"

The sounds of the screaming were muffled in the dark room Nobi (now sporting a black eye, busted lip, missing tooth and now slight limp) had taken to hiding in one of the closets a crack in the door giving the older student a clear view of the empty classroom. "Come on pick up. Pick up. Pick up." he whispered to his xtransceiver as it quitely rang.

"H-Hello?" a tired voice asked clearly just being woken up.

"Dad!" tears flowed down Nobi's cheeks as he shouted for a moment forgetting he was in hiding.

"Did you hear something?!" a voice asked outside the very door to the room he hid behind.

"Hello! Hello! Is this a prank call?!"

"Dad it's me Nobi!"

"Nobi!?"

Nobi smiled a the voice sure his dad was a real hardass consistantly telling him he needs to make a life plan and to get a job so he won't "Ruin his Life" but what does he know. With no time to be civil he quickly made his claim. "Listen I need you to~" he began knowing that once his dad tells his mom he'll be given the best protection money can buy, maybe he'll get back at that jerk that whisked Giselle away. He was so close to getting her attention, she knew his name began with a N and everything.
"NO WAY! THAT'S IT NOBI, I'M DONE!" his thoughts were ended as Nobi's dad shouted through the phone. "I was supportive when you said you wanted to be a pokemon trainer. I paid perfectly good money sending you to the number one school in Kanto. I even kept a straight face when you told me you failed the beginners course... for the FOURTH TIME!"

"Dad I..."

"IT'S A TWO YEAR SCHOOL!"

"B-But mom.." he sputtered out an excuse clearly not prepared for this. Why was his dad being so unreasonable he should do what he could for his son like a good parent. All the other kids parents couldn't do enough for there kids even those poor kids.

"Don't drag your mother into this, that woman's only mistake was allowing you to continue on this "dream" you suddenly claimed to have always had. You were seventeen when you first mentioned it. Have you ever even caught a pokemon?"

"W-well."

"Your twenty! Twenty! The average age to become a trainer is sixteen. Giratina small childern can do that."

"I'm nineteen and a half!" he whined out completely missing more voices crowding the room.

"I don't care, I'm done!"

"D-Done!? What do you mean?"

"I'm sorry son but I'm done. I've sent word to the school this will be your last semester at PokeTech. After that you will be sent home where you will get a job. I'm sorry son I've already talked to your mother this dream is over."

Nobi's eyes practically popped out of his skull as his jaw dropped. This couldn't be happening this had been his dream for as long as he could remember. (Since he turned 17 and knew once he turned eightteen he'd have to actually look for a career and they were all so boring) Everything was going to go perfectly he even had a plan when he first got here, just fail the first final test then memorize the answers for the next semester so he wouldn't have to actually study for the semester. It was the perfect plan, it was full proof it wasn't his fault his old test paper got lost, or next final when the answer key was changed, or next final when the test became a practical or the one when he slept in the same day of the test. There was just nothing he could do, the world was out to get him, but he knew once he made it to the League everything would change he'd win get the money, the girls and become super popular- did he mention the girls.

Now it was over his jerk dad wasn't gonna pay for his school and there no way he can make the tuition to pay for it himself. (reguardless if other students found a way and used the student loan program that allowed you to make easy payments rather then a lump sum.) He slammed against the closet door falling out completely ignoring the noise he was making. "Nothing could make this worse!"

BAM!

The door to the classroom was bashed open revealing an army of enraged students. They really looked angry but once he explained that one kid was at fault they could all- What's a Rapidash doing here?

"Hey Nobi." the lead student's smile was anything but pleasent. "Ever heard of a Ponyta show? Well this is a little different."

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

A loud scream that echoed throughout the school one that be described as both pain, shame and humiliation but no one really cared enough to actually look.

Author's Notes

(1)Yes this is Nobita Nobi if he was in the pokemon world and there was no cat from the future sent back to change his future for the better.

The series never explained how long the school was so my head canon is that it's a two year school. Six months for every two badges so by the end of the second year you theoretically have the skill and training of someone who completed an entire school.
