Shocking Upset Pt. 2

KKKKKRRRRRRRAAAAKKKKKKOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!
Electric type energy rushed past Grass type energy each crashing into their respective opponent blasting both into the wall behind them.
As the two fell to the ground both struggled to there feet only for one to fall as red energy zapped from one only to go into the other making him finally fall.
"Raichu!" Surge shout in frustration as his second pokemon fell even if the smile on his face proved other wise.. Arceus danmmit this kid really put his back into his training.
"Two down one to go!" Slate calmly said walking over to his weakened barely standing pokemon. "Now you see why I told you not to get cocky for a rematch." He picked up his starter who cheekily licked his trainers face. "Cute." Slate withdrew his pokeball returning his partner as he withdrew his last pokemon for this battle. The real battle was about to begin.
"Hope your ready kid because this time I'm taking this seriously." Surge threw his last pokeball releasing the Electirc Oni Electabuzz.
"Oh so the last two matches were you going easy on me, I'll be sure to buy to a gift basket as thanks later." Without another word Slate released Poliwhirl who upon seeing the Electric Pokémon proved that if looks could kill it have died a dozen times over.
"Charge." Electabuzz's body becomes surrounded by yellow sparks as it gathers electricity in its body.
"Rain Dance." Poliwhirl raises its arms, summoning a dark cloud above it. Rain then pours from the cloud.
"Let's finish this with one hit- Supercell Slam!" ELECTA-" Yellow sparks come off Electabuzz's face before the bolts started to surround it's body in electricity.
"Bubble Veil."
"Bubble what?"
Hearing the call Poliwag began to spin while using bubble beam creating a wall of bubbles surrounding him in a wall of bubbles.
"BUZZ!" Taking to the air the Electric Oni charged electricity as it crashed forward into the wall of bubbles.
Once in the improvised move Electabuzz was completely invisible only its grunts of pain were heard as the bubbles collided into it chipping away at its health.
Unable to see his Pokemon Surge gave an order hoping to burst through. "Blast straight through Thunder Punch." Just as Electabuzz began gathering electricity only to howl out in pain as it was shot in the back.
"Mudshot." at the call multiple blobs of brown mud struck the Electric type.
"Crap! Get out of there Electabuzz!"
"Do it again!"
The Ground type attacks did continuous powerful damage as the bubbles continued to float. While they couldn't see both trainers could just tell Electabuzz was getting fairly injuried.
"THUNDER!" Electabuzz gathers electricity in between the horns on its head, and it fires a blast of yellow electricity from its horns blasting the both the bubbles away and winging Poliwhirl in the shoulder sending the Water type to the ground spasming in pain.
"Finish this with Thunderbolt!" a blue orb appears between Electabuzz's horns. It then fires a blue lightning bolt from the orb at the opponent.
"Block it with Water Pulse!" Poliwag rolls over cupping his hands together creating a blue sphere of energy. "POLI!" he then fires the spheres at the stray bolt, once the two collided the orb explodes into a wave of electrified water nicking both with varying degrees of success.
As the Water spasmed from the sparks connected to the water like a taser going off in a bathtub. Arcs of lightning danced off his body as he fell to his knee.
The Electric type would have been washed away if it didn't plant it's feet. Seeing the water flowing caused a smirk to cover Surge's face. "Thanks for the lightning rod even if we miss the sparks are gonna light you up, Thunder Punch." rushing forward Lightning Oni's fist began to crackle as it closed it's fist.
Slate's eyes noticed the steady stream of water that connected the two an idea formed. "Icy Wind." A glowing light blue orb appeared in front of his spiral. Quickly releasing a wind with snow inside of it onto the wet ground freezing it solid this in turn caused the Eletric Oni to loss traction mid-step slipping on the ground and sliding into a nearby wall.
"..." Silence that was all there was as everyone stared in sheer surprise at the sequence of events. No one dared speak knowing the first one that did would have to say something truly profound. Even the rain stopped as if nature itself had no response for the question plaguing everyones minds.
"WHAT IN ARCEUS WAS THAT!?" Surge voiced his disdain at the display. "How is that a thing!?"
Slate with a half-smile merely shrugged his shoulder. "Strategy." No one not even his own pokemon believed that for even a second. "Poliwhirl... Hypnosis." The tadpole pokemon's eyes started glowing blue at the downed electric type.
"Hit'em with Swift." Still on it's back Electabuzz opens its mouth and yellow stars shot out soaring through the sky before freezing and turning mid air crashing into a dumbfounded Poliwhirl.
"Okay let's reviewI've got no plan and I've got nothing to stop this thing. That Electabuzz is just to strong and everything we throw at it just keeps getting back up. Why isn't anything putting it down. I got to teach Poliwhirl a new move something he can use give an edge in a battle like this, he needs a better move pool." Slate thought to himself as his water type got back to his feet.
Releasing a breathe he's been holding in the fire in Slate's eyes got brighter as he looked at his still ready to battle pokemon. "If we're gonna win this we need to hit him hard and fast." Once he thought that a smile maybe that could work.
"Poliwhirl rush him!" without a word Poliwhirl did just that charging at the electric oni with reckless abandon.
"Use Thunder Wave!" a ball of electricity formed in front of his hands and releases rings of yellow electricity.
Poliwhirl ignored the incoming attack trusting his trainer to see him through he had always done so and it had always paid off, this faith was rewarded as said trainer spoke. "Use Water Gun." Without a moment of hesitation Poliwhirl released a powerful stream of water soaking the ground.
"Icy Wind the ground." Doing as told the Water-type shot a powerful wind of snow onto the freezing the ground again this time forming an ice rink allowing him to slide on the icy terrian effortlessly dodging the Electric move.
"Electabuzz use Shockwave."
"Block it with Bubblebeam."
Blue bolts of lightning met a wall of bubbles evaporating creating a cloud of steam blocking out sight from the trainers. Both trainers glared at the smokescreen knowing this was different from the Bubbleveil neither trainer or pokemon could see through the thick fog leaving both team blind as a Zubat.
Both trainers knew this was now up to their pokemon to be the first to find the other and get in a hit before the other can retaliate.
"Screw it just hit everything use Thunder." Surge ordered it's been a long day and while this has been the best battle he's had in months it has been going on long enough. Both pokemon were exhausted it would only take one good hit from either to decided the victor.
Slate saw the sparks gathering to one point before giving his own order. "Icy Wind then follow it with Watergun!"
With a deep breathe Poliwhirl releases a wind with light blue sparkles inside from its mouth seconds later a spiral of water from it's mouth creating frozen spiral. Ice Lance
Electabuzz was on his last leg as it gathered everything it had left hoping to finish this battle so it could have a long rest. Energy gathered around it forming a pillar of light that shot into the air, sparks of electricity danced around it.
At that moment an icicle in the shape of a spiral soared through the air colliding with the now exhausted Oni making it drop it's final attack.
"Rush forward we're ending this now!"
"Use Thunder Punch!" Surge shouted knowing this was all or nothing.
"Finish it with Aqua Bullet." Using a full powered Water Gun behind him Poliwhirl rocketed across the ice filled terrain before using Pound slamming his fist into Electabuzz's gut just as the Electric Oni threw a wild haymaker clocking the Tabpole pokemon in what a human would consider his ribs. The force from the blow lifted Electabuzz off the ground before sending it crashing into the nearby wall at the same time Poliwhirl was slammed into the ground.
When it hit the ground Electabuzz's eyes had swirls in it finally after so much training, so many hardship, so much pain and suffering it was over.
With all the strength he could muster Poliwhirl took a knee as he to turned to look at his opponent seeing his opponet down and out Poliwhirl fell on his on his face exhaustion over taking him. It was over he trusted his trainer and like always he pulled through so tired from the battle he was about to pass out himself if not for his trainer picking him up holding him in his arms.
"DID YOU SEE THAT POLIWHIRL! YOU DID IT, I DID IT, WE DID IT!" Slate spun his first catch in the air as his other two battle wore pokemon popped out of their balls to join in the cheer.
Surge looked at his downed Pokemon knowing it did it's best Surge returned it allowing his pokemon to have a good rest. "Alright alight you beat me heres your badge, some money and the TM for-
"Slow...poke."
"Was he cheering for the victory as a whole or his he still on the first match?" Giselle appeared behind Slate hands on her hips with a cheeky smile as she eyed her travel buddy. This was a good learning experience and would be perfect for her match next.
"Who cares." Slate said with a laugh. He was halted as a TM was slammed into his chest, as Surge glared down at the teen.
"Don't interrupt when a Gym Leader is talking!" Surge glared as Slate looked more uncomfortable rather then scared. "Problem."
"Yeah well if I give you this back can I learn something else. You se-" He couldn't finish as Surge lifted the youth off the ground looking him in the eyes.
"You got a problem against a TM for an Electric types." He threatened promises of pain if the answer wasn't to his satisfaction.
Slate rubbed his chin with his eyes closed deep in concentration trying to articulate his thoughts clearly.
"During the battle I realized Poliwhirls move pool wasn't big enough to be a threat to some types. So I was hoping if I don't take the TM you could teach him Focus Punch?" Determination layed in Slate's eyes as he asked after all a champion can't be predictable an expanded move pool created greater options for battles.
Surge deadpanned at the youth before him, asking for a move he didn't even specialise in simplely because it would help his pokemon grow stronger. He knew he liked this kid for a reason.
"Fine." he responded before dropping Slate who fell on his back.
"Really?" Slate asked hoping he heard right and the floor wasn't making him hear things Surge was a tall son of an Arcanine.
"It'll take a few days what with challengers showing up but yeah it'll be something to do."
"Yess!" Slate made a fist pump in celebration before turning to his traveling companion. "Sorry Giselle I'm gonna be here for a few days so if you wanna stick around a little longer that'd be cool. Heck you could stay a little longer you might be able to add something to you arsonel."
"No way! I'll be getting that badge in a few minutes so we'll be leaving today!" Giselle smuggly smirked ready for her own rematch."I've spent way to much time in this Sea port town." That cocky swagger faded with three words.
"Nope! Not today."
"W-What?"
"All my pokemon are drained from battling today."
"What."
"The only one I have left is my original Raichu and I can't use that against a no badge trainer. Protocal you know."
"What?"
"So we'll have to have the rematch tomorrow."
"WHAT?!" The bombshell shouted to the heavens.

"Ahhhh finally." Slate groaned out as he limped out of the Gym. True to Surge's word it had taken a few days for Poliwhirl to learn Focus Punch and while the water type still hadn't mastered the move he just needs more field experience with the attack. That didn't mean Slate was sitting idly by as Surge had encourgaed him to take up his patented Lt. Surge's Fitness Training From Hell!
"You suck." Giselle whined. "It's thanks to you I had a wait two whole days before I could get my battle."
"And why are you up here?" He asked not actually complaining about his current position. Currently Giselle had her arms wrapped around Slate's neck as his hands were placed on her thighs keeping her up.
"Between that and the training I'm exhausted." Currently rubbing up against Slate's body she could feel every toned muscle on the teen and boy did she enjoy it, Surge did good work indeed.
"You can't blame me for that, sure I was training with Poliwhirl but your the one who got so into the training that everytime you were ready to battle someone beat you to it." Slate smiled doing his best to ignore the feel of her twin peaks buried in his back or her thick thighs resting in his hands. "Besides you got your badge that's all that matters."
Giselle gave a tired smile at the comment after much work the ex-student had successfully defeated Lt. Surge getting her first badge in the process. She had to admit that if Cubone hadn't evolved the night before she not have been able to get the edge she needed to claim victory. She was finally on her way to becoming a true trainer.
Her musings were cut off by a sudden voice.
"Wait is that? SLATE THAT IS YOU?!" a voice shouted drawing the pairs attention.

Sorry I'm a little late for this one got some new help at work so we got to get them up to par.
Finally this one took sometime but I had to keep knit picking on the battle.
Slate does have a moonstone (Ch.6), I just forgot to add it to his items.
