Ok don't laugh...but i have no idea how this story writing thing works. I would read the instructions but anything that isn't fiction will lose me after two sentences :P and idk what the ratings mean either i just picked one because they told me to XD. I've read lots of reaction fics but they either don't include elements i want or are practically abandoned.
I never wanted to write one myself because i lowkey have commitment issues and i would feel bad just adding another abandoned fic on the web :( i will try to update once a day. I mean One Piece is on hiatus so its not like I'll have anything else to do except reread OP (has over 200 books on reading list and over 30 things on watch list but routinely ignores in order to reread/rewatch OP :P)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAnywaaaaays! I'm Shey :) and if you see this on any other platform...it has been stolen :( (booooo tomatoes tomatoes tomatoes) leave reviews and enjoy ig
Disclaimer (i mean do i have to since it pretty fucking obvious): I am not the great Oda-sensei therefore I do not own the characters...just the story :)
"UUUUGGGHHHH!!!" Shanks let out a groan of pure annoyance. "If you keep rolling your eyes like that, they'll get stuck in the back of your head," Benn said after a taking a drag from his cigarette. He was leaning over the railing of the Red Force, eyes trained to something in the distance. "Can you blame him?" Yassop spoke from where he sat against the main mast, cleaning and loading his guns. Shanks rolled his eyes again. Kaido was worst than fucking mosquitoes on a summer night. More annoying than a swarm of knats after a workout.
Couldn't he tell that he was in no mood to appease his masochism today? They were trying to execute his little Anchor's brother, his captain's son. And that's what he was: Roger and Rouge's son. He knew it from the moment he saw Ace's bounty, without even looking at the name. He was the splitting image of Roger but still managed to keep all of Rouge soft features. Not only was Ace his Anchor's brother (and his brother too in a way) but Ace was Shanks's good friend. And they were trying to kill him, not for the things he's done, but for the blood in his veins. Try as they might, but there's no way on Davey Jones' ocean that Shanks would sit back and let them. Just thinking about it made all his veins protrude, his blood boiling and churning through them. He held his haki wrapped as closely around him as he could, knowing that it would hurt the people inhabiting the nearest island and even his crew if he went feral and lost control. He gripped Gryphon so tight his knuckles whitened. He was definitely wearing down his enamel with how hard he grinded his teeth. Couldn't he tell that he was in no fucking mood to play around with him?
"Captain." And just like that Shanks snapped out of the daze he was in. Lucky Roo was standing a few feet in front of him. He was eating a piece of Sea King meat with Monster on his shoulders doing the same. "You're bloodlust nearly killed my Sea King meat, and its already dead!" Monster showed his agreement. Shanks took a deep breath. "Sorry guys. But I already warned that fish not to fucking test me with this when Rockstar first told us Kaido was heading towards Marineford." Shanks stood bext to Benn, staring Kaido's approaching ship. Building Snake appeared, his twin blades in hand. Limejuice, Hongo, Gab, and Bonk Punch following in behind him. On Bonk's appearance, Monster finished his meat in one bite and hoped on Bonk's shoulders. Both of them began cracking their knuckles. Hongo, ever the logical one, asked "Are you sure you want us to stop him here? I mean dealing with him and the navy simultaneously would be a pain but doing tgis now might get us there when everythings already over.""I never said i wanted to stop him here." The Red Hair Pirates didn't sven deem that with answer. They only gave their captain a look.
Shanks let out a bellowing laugh as some tension and anger leaves him. But not all...NEVER all. Tension and anger are what saves your life after all. "The inherent eroticism of being known by your crew!" The crew let out a series of groans. "CAPTAIN!!" "Really Shanks?!?!" "Please delete this phrase from your vocabulary." "Repeat this sentence under the penalty of death." Shanks only let out another laugh. This was more than Shanks has laughed in the month since he heard about Teach's exploits and Ace's chase. The smile fell off his face. "That old man won't end the party so soon after taking one of his sons." Shanks slide Gryphon out his sheath. "We'll stop the fish here."
Shanks has seen some pretty weird shit. In fact, Shanks would categorize himself as being a weird shit. Being raised on a pirate ship in the Grand Line with an enigmatic man-child who fist-fights with ADHD and ADD as a captain and father figure, surrounded by people who follow him VOLUNTARILY, will do that to a person. Shanks has seen a lot of weird shit, but the sun deciding to clock out mid-shift to go on a spontaneous vacation with the moon, is a little too weird. It was as if he blinked and suddenly forgot to open his eyes. "Da FAQ?!?!" was all he could say when darkness took over the world.
People from various places across the GrandLine were struck dumb in the face of pure utter darkness. Before they could think of anything other than "DA FAQ?!?!," the ground began to violently shake, lurching everyone this way and that. Just when people began to think this earthquake would never end, the ground stabilized itself. "Whoa what was that?", a voice called out in the darkness. "Wait who said that?!?!," called another. "Braidy are you there?" The darkness was suddenly accompanied by a cacophony of voices calling out for each other
"SILENCE ALREADY YOU INSOLENT FOOLS!" a certain woman called out. "Who's the bitch that said that, huh?!?" a man retaliated. "I did!" the woman responded. Before the man could spit back something so awful a bar of soap in his mouth wouldn't have cleaned it, the...lights, so to speak, turned back on...at keast partially. That is to say that although everything all around the gathered people where pitch black, they could now see the other people around them. It was as if they walked into a room where every square inch of it was painted pitch black. The woman was none other than the Pirate Empress Boa Hancock herself, already looking so far down, she's looking up. The man from before (some nameless marine) immediately changed his tune. "OF COURSE ANYTHING FOR YOU!!"
The scene was cut short by a gut wrenching scream. It was a sound made from pure grief. It was coupled by unrelenting sobbing. It drew the attention of everyone in the vicinity. Who was making such agonizing sounds? It was none other than Monkey D. Luffy, who didn't even notice the change in scenery. He didn't notice the other great pirates. He didn't notice a group of mysteriously hooded figures clinging to the shadows of the room. He didn't notice Shanks and his crew starting towards him alongside the Whitebeards. He didn't notice his own crew doing the same, calling his name. He didnt notice Ace's heart beat against his chest. "ACE!"
TEACH. When Ace saw darkness all he could think of was Teach and his darkness surrounding him, snuffing out all the light, snuffing out his light, his fire. All Ace could think of was Teach's darkness touching him with unwanted caresses all over his body, wrapping him in a stomach churning embrace, SUFFOCATING HIM-
Ace snapped out of it at the sound of something he's only every heard in nightmares. He'd never imagined he'd have to hear it from Luffy in real life. The nightmares seem like pleasant dreams when compared to reality. "ACE!" He'd never heard Luffy sound so broken. He then swore on everything his being not to make his baby brother ever sound like that again. He was still in his arms. He wrapped his arms tighter around him. "Luffy? Lu listen...I'm right here I promise-" Luffy let out another gutted sound at that. "Ok bad choice of words but...listen to hesrt beating Luffy. I'm still here...I'm still right here." Evryone in the room was silent and kept a distance, not wanting to intude on such a vulnerable scene. Ace was grateful. Too many people might overwhelm him at this point. The only Ace could do is continue to rub Luffy's back and repeat his assurances. "I'm still here."
ZOO WE MAMA! That was a lot. Or at least it felt like a lot. Was that too much? Y'all tell me. Anyways I TECHNICALLY will be posting this with two days later instead of one day...but if i started working on it yesterday and post it at 1am it still counts :) I really need to learn how to format XD idk what else to say so leave a review and favorite ig
