Hello, everyone and welcome back to another chapter of "A Long Distance Ship"! In the last part, Ash and his friends have arrived in Verdanturf Town for May's next Pokemon Contest, where she met a coordinator she will be facing off against. He is going to be a tough trainer to face, but can our favorite coordinator do it? Well, let's hear what she, as well as our two favorite idiots, have to say!

Hey there, Misty. We have made it through the Verdanturf Town Pokémon Contest. It was a rough road as Timmy almost ended up missing the contest entirely because his mom conveniently left him a bunch of homework to do the day of the contest… and yeah, she was definitely on to her son being The Phantom. And after he ended up beating Jessie in a contest battle (and me having to deal with the TRio yet again), the truth comes out right in front of his mother! We ended up learning that Timmy's mother didn't want him around Pokémon because she didn't want him to suffer the same heartbreak she did when was his age… I honestly don't think that is a good excuse and caused a lot more problems than it solved, but hey, at least she was able to support her son by the time of the final battle. As for who won… I am going to let May show you the highlights…

Hey there, Misty. I have some of the highlights for Togetic to enjoy. Skitty really did well in her first ever Pokémon contest. The appeals round could have gone a whole lot better, but at least I had an amazing battle against Timmy. Not the Phantom, Timmy, as he decided to take off the mask for his battle against me. Timmy was a very tough opponent thanks to Skitty not perfecting Blizzard and most of her normal attacks not working. But then I remembered that Skitty can use Assist to pull moves from my other Pokémon, and so Torchic's Ember and Beautifly's Silver Wind and String Shot to help sway the battle in my favor before ultimately winning the second ribbon of the five that I need. I am so happy to get another ribbon!

Hey there, Ash. Today was an amazing day for me and Togetic. We ended up having a challenger come over today, and he was from Pallet Town just like you! He came in for his second gym battle after beating Forrest in Pewter City, and he thought that he could just use his Bulbasaur to roll through the gym. And while it is true that Water Pokémon are bad against Grass-types like Bulbasaur, I decided to teach him a lesson on using his whole team… something you forgot earlier on in the region. And that is when Togetic made her gym battle debut, and she wiped the floor against the trainer. It helped teach him a lesson, and he said he is going to do some training before coming back for a rematch. As for the contest, Togetic really enjoyed seeing the highlights of May's battle against Timmy. And while supporting her son didn't undo what his mother did, it is certainly a step in the right direction for her. Kinda makes me wish I had some maternal support as she vanished years ago… anyways, tell May thanks for the highlights, Ash!

And that just about does it for this chapter of "A Long Distance Ship". I would like to thank two users who have decided to add this story to their favorites list. First up is a person who technically favorited on Wednesday, but I was unable to add to yesterday's chapter, Nix Seven. And second is a user who favorited AND followed the story in EMIYASatoshiKetchum3457. Thank you both so much for deciding to help me inch ever closer to the next milestones. Don't forget, everyone. Just one more person for both lists until we hit the next milestones of 40 favorites and 50 follows. It could be you! And every favorite, follow, and review counts to show how much you care about this. I will see you all next time for the next chapter of the Pokeshipping Week special!
