Hello everybody, and welcome back to another chapter of "A Long Distance Ship"! In the last chapter, we got an evolution from one of the main characters, an almost capture, and one heck of an event involving Gulpin. Now this chapter is going to be on the shorter end, but it is still an important one as we get a major party shake up from Ash. If you watched AG066, than you know what it is. This chapter will cover that episode and AG067, but will take place before the events of AG068 (aka my least favorite Season 7 episode excluding THAT episode.) Anyways, let's get going!

Subject: A new evolution

Hey there, Misty. My friends and I have just arrived at a Pokemon Center in one of the suburbs of Petalburg City. As my Pokemon are healing, I thought it would be a good idea to watch the battle you sent me and talk to you. I got to say, you did a very good job in the battle, and your daughter did an amazing job teaching him a lesson. Anyways, a lot has happened since we last talked to one another. First of all, my Treecko ended up evolving into a cool new Pokemon known as a Grovyle during a battle with another trainer, whose Loudred evolved into an Exploud at the exact same time as my Treecko did. When the other Pokemon got to meet Grovyle, they all thought he was pretty cool as well… most of them, at least, as Corphish was clearly jealous of his coolness. He even ran off after losing a battle against another trainer and his Ludicolo. I eventually found my Pokemon before the two of us made up. Anyways, we are almost to Petalburg City proper, so I should be able to talk to you again either later today at the earliest or tomorrow at the latest, Misty.

Hey Ash. I am glad to hear that you loved seeing Togetic's first ever gym battle, and that made her very proud. I am also happy that you got a new evolution, and seeing a picture of it makes it look even more like a "you" Pokemon. But not to be biased towards water-types or anything, I can see why Corphish got jealous that he didn't evolve. I also looked up a picture of what Corphish evolves into, and I don't want to spoil it, it looks like a pretty awesome Pokemon that I hope you get sometime later down the line. Anyways, I hope you make it to Petalburg safely, Ash. I will be rooting for you to win that gym battle!
