Hello everybody, and welcome back to the next installment of "A Long Distance Ship"! In the last part, May's Torchic ended up evolving into Combusken, and the group had another encounter with Teams Aqua and Magma. And now, they have finally arrived in Fortree City. What will happen now that our heroes have arrived? Well, let's find out!

Subject: Fortree Feather Carnival

Hey, Misty! We have finally made it to Fortree City! I didn't end up having my gym battle today as the gym leader, Winona, was busy. And what was she busy with? Well, May, Max, Brock, and I have just so happened to arrive in Fortree City on the day of their annual Feather Carnival, giving the youth a ride on her Skarmory. You see, Fortree City has always had a special relationship with Flying-type Pokemon, and the locals celebrate it each year. I will give you three guesses as to what type I have to face in my upcoming gym battle based on that information. Anyways, we had a lot of fun at the carnival. That is, until THEY decided to show up and snatch all of the flying-type Pokemon. And to make the fight more difficult, they have a brand new Pokemon in Chimecho, who healed up all of the damage that we gave them! My Pikachu and Swellow tried their best to fight them off, but it was too much. Winona and her Skarmory ended up saving the day against the TRio. So yeah, it was quite the day that I had… seeing Winona's strength makes me all the more excited for my upcoming gym battle against her! I will tell you about the battle tomorrow!

Subject: Fortree Feather Carnival

Hey there, Ash! I am glad to hear that you have made it to Fortree City safely. From what you told me about the Feather Carnival, it sounds like a fun event. I would have LOVED to get a good view of the city from one of the Pokemon owned by a gym leader… too bad I am stuck here at the gym. I don't hate having to battle challengers everyday, but I would like to get out and do something even for a day. Anyways, I looked up what a Chimecho was. It doesn't look like a Pokemon that Team Rocket would use, but since James is a part of the most inept Team Rocket group, I guess it works for him, especially since he liked it and it gave you some trouble at first… Anyways, good luck on your next gym battle, Ash! I will be rooting for you all the way!

And that just about does it for this chapter of "A Long Distance Ship". We didn't get anyone to do the FFR since Friday, which really lets me down. It makes me feel like this website is dying. But hey, I am sure that it will all work out. It has rebounded before. So keep on pushing, guys. Show me you care about ALDS by favoriting, following, and reviewing!
