Hello, everybody, and welcome back to another chapter of "A Long Distance Ship". In the last part, Ash battled Winona and ended up getting his sixth gym badge after a tough battle that inspired him to teach his Pokemon a new move. Now in this part, Ash and friends start the path to Lilycove City, a stop before Mossdeep, the sight of Ash's seventh gym badge. How will it go, and what will Ash experience? Let's find out!

Subject: Reunion with the PMC

Hey there, Misty. After leaving Fortree City, I learned that the next gym is in Mossdeep City, which we can reach by ferry from Lilycove City. It should be an exciting trek. Anyways, we are currently at the Volley Town Pokemon Center. The day we left Fortree City, we met a man named Elijah and his Camerupt, and we followed him to a small town where he planned on showing a film. You see, he travels around with his Camerupt (who carries all the heavy equipment) to towns too small for movie theaters to show different films. We ended up staying to see the movie without much issue (the only real one is that SOMEONE decided to steal the film… but their inability to secure the loot led us right to them for the second time this year.) A few more days of traveling, and we ended up here, where we found that Nurse Joy was acting very un-Nurse Joy-like, something that surprised Brock. We decided to have a meal under the stars with our Pokemon when Ken and Mary showed up, thinking that Brock's Lombre was an alien. Remember them from Johto? Yeah, they were after a Pokemon called Lunatone, and we found it when we reentered the Pokemon Center. It was in a dire condition, and we found out that Nurse Joy was acting off because of the hypnosis that she was put under by Lunatone. We ended up heading to Camerupt Point to help Lunatone out, but both the TRio and the PMC were interested in taking it for themselves. The PMC ended up blasting off Team Rocket, but Lunatone ended up healing to send Ken and Mary blasting off. Lunatone left after that, and we headed back to the Pokemon Center for a nice long rest. I am currently writing this the morning after those events, and I am still amazed that we ended up in the middle of a mystery with a strange Pokemon like Lunatone. Makes me wonder what other Pokemon we will meet here in Hoenn and worlds beyond… anyways, I better get going. It is still a long way to Lilycove City!

Subject: Return of the PMC

Hey, Ash. Glad to hear that you had some great adventures since we last talked. Looking up a picture of Lunatone, I can totally see why those people would want it. And yes, I remember Ken and Mary of the PMC from when your Phanphy befriended Cleffa. From what you told me, I bet they were just as crazy as they were back in the Johto region. Anyways, I actually managed to get out of the gym today, as I was asked to help out on an exhibition to Cerulean Cave. It was a hectic experience, especially since they decided to show up. At least I got something cool out of it, as I ended up finding a strange blue scale. I showed it to my Pokemon, and Horsea really seems to be interested in it. Anyways, good luck on your travels, Ash!

And that just about does it for this chapter of "A Long Distance Ship". And yeah, not a whole lot on Ash's end with one of the worst episodes of the season on his end, but at least I gave you a good preview of one of the stories you will hear in the Misty Chronicles. Remember to keep Spring 2023 in mind, as that is when the next batch of chapters for that story is coming up!
