Hello, everybody, and welcome back to another chapter of "A Long Distance Ship". Last time we covered the events of my least favorite movie of the Advanced Saga, Destiny Deoxys. And now we are heading to Lilycove City, where May will learn of a Pokemon contest and even encounter a new rival. But how will it go for Ash? Let's find out!

Subject: Arrival in Lilycove and the Move Tutor

Hey there, Misty. May, Max, Brock, and I have finally arrived in Lilycove City. It was quite the trip there, with us ending up at the Banana Slakoth garden a while after leaving LaRousse City. We ended up helping the man who runs this place deal with a wild Snorlax that somehow ended up in the area. Kinda reminds me of my own Snorlax and how I caught him back in the Orange Islands. And just yesterday, we had a very strange encounter with Team Rocket where Pikachu ended up blasting off with Team Rocket, and he ended up getting amnesia. Fortunately I was able to snap him back out of it, but it was surely a scare to remember. Upon arriving in town, May learned that there is going to be a Pokemon contest happening tomorrow, and so naturally she wants to enter it to try and get back on her feet after her loss in the previous contest. We ended up meeting some of her competition for the contest in the form of Kelly. We had lunch at her house, which also served as her family's PokeBlock shop. After a nice stew from Mrs. Otter, Max and I headed out to get some training in. I have been meaning to get in some training ever since the gym battle, and I met someone who was able to help me try and teach Swellow the move. He said it is going to take a lot of practice, but I am sure that Swellow will get the hang of it, especially since I plan on getting some practice in tomorrow. I heard from May that she decided to use Combusken in the upcoming contest after an encounter with Team Rocket, who tried to steal Kelly's Grumpig when she was teaching May about making Pokeblocks. Wish her the best of luck when it comes to the contest, Misty.

Hey there, Ash. I am glad to hear that you have made it to Lilycove City safely. You telling me about your time at the Banana Slakoth Garden reminded me of our time in the Orange Islands as well. Snorlax was a complete beast when he wanted to battle, and it would be awesome to see him battle again some day. It is also good that you decided to get some training in, seeing that the next two gym battles might be the hardest ones you will face in the Hoenn region. And it is also a good idea that you decided to practice before May's contest tomorrow, as that way you will be able to get some much needed training in with your Pokemon and be able to support May during one of her contests. Tell May that I wish her luck on winning her next ribbon, Ash!
