I know it has been a while, and I haven't really been doing a good job of working on both stories at once, but there has been a lot that I have been doing. But the final part of Ash's Hoenn journey starts right now, just in time for Pokeshipping Day 2024! What will be in store for Ash on second stop of his island hopping journey to Mossdeep City? And what was Misty up to? Let's find out!

Hey, Misty. Our little island hopping journey has taken us to Maisie Island. We ended up meeting an old friend on the way in the form of Spoink, and just like the last time we met him, he ended up losing his pearl. Speaking of pearls, the island we landed on was famous for a Pokemon known as Clamperl, who keeps a pearl in its body. We met a scientist who studies Clamperl and its pearls named Isayah, who graciously let me use his computer to send this to you. While we couldn't get the original pearl back, one of the Clamperl offered one of its pink pearls to Spoink. It was cool to see it… Anyways, the ship to the next island is coming, so I better get going.

Hey there, Ash. I just looked up Clamperl and it looks like a pretty cute Pokemon, even if it isn't much to look at… might be my biases towards Water Pokemon kicking in… anyways, I am glad you had a good day on your island hopping adventure. I had an alright day. Daisy and I got into an argument about her giving away badges, and I left to let off some steam. I ended up finding a rare Pokemon, who ended up showing me how much they really mean to me. We ended up making up before I sent this to you. Anyways, I hope to see you soon.

And that is it for this chapter! "A Long Distance Ship" will be published on alternating Saturdays with "The Misty Chronicles", starting with "A Long Distance Ship" on November 16th, 2024. I already finished Chapters 11 and 12 of "The Misty Chronicles" (even before Chapter 10, to be honest, as I was too excited to write about her opponent in THOSE chapters), and the first of those will come out on the 23rd.
