Reporting for Duty New Freelance Recruit

The Street, a simple and a very lame name of this block within the many streets of New York City, is a place where nothing is out of the ordinary with a few stores and a couple of apartment buildings though there is one building that seems more special than the rest in this neighborhood.

"HEAD'S UP, SAM!" A voice shouted from the inside.

"I GOT IT, LITTLE BUDDY!" Another voice shouted, also from the same floor.

Suddenly a bowling ball was sent flying right through a window and it kept on flying over a few buildings.

And the reason for a bowling ball to be flying over the streets is because that was thrown by two of the most reliable and the most dangerous duo the entire world would even know, the two crazy guys who are willing to take on any jobs that would normally be too crazy and insane to do.

But these guys, they live for the crazy stuff because they're the most insane and pair of best friends you could ever meet, as well as the idiots who would take things to the extreme in order to complete a case.

"Hey Sam, do you feel like someone is talking about our amazing charms?" A white rabbit asked.

This is Max the Hyperkinetic rabbity thing. Max is a 3-foot tall, white-furred anthro "rabbity-thing". His appearance is generally cute and cuddly, but contrasted by his enormous sharp-toothed grin, which remains plastered on his melon-like head at almost all times. He has big feet and long ears that almost constantly stay upright.

"Oh, I think that's the author writing his first chapter about us." Sam believed, breaking the fourth wall.

And this is the other pair known as Sam the dog man. Sam is a 6-foot-tall, brown anthropomorphic dog with black pupils. He wears a grey Bloodhound fedora, as well as a grey suit with a white dress shirt, meant to mimic a typical noir detective outfit. He wears a comically large necktie with black and blue stripes. Underneath his suit jacket, he presumably wears a leather shoulder holster. Despite his body being anthropomorphic, he only has four fingers (including his thumbs) and three toes.

"Hey, did the guy make my feet bigger like I asked?" Max asked, looking down at his feet.

"I don't think he would change anything about you." Sam said.

"You're right, my feet are the perfect size to kick the asses of some idiots we have to beat and probably, most likely, kill." Max grinned a little scary.

"Great, now let's get back to our bowling baseball." Sam said, ready with a metal baseball bat.

"Try hitting the pins this time, Sam. You always end up getting the bowling balls I throw you too high." Max held a bowling ball and gestured to the bowling pins on Sam's desk.

"Sorry, I guess all that time in baseball class you signed me up without my permission has really gotten to me." Sam apologized, still remembering his team in that baseball class.

"Oh well, sixth time the charm!" Max smiled widely and reeled his arm back with the bowling ball.

Just when Max threw the bowling ball, a person figure comes in.

"Hey guys, are you ready for—SHIT?!" The woman gasped when Sam accidentally hit the bowling ball to be slammed into a wall close to the woman.

"Well, well, if it isn't our favorite secret agent cat friend, Kitty Katswell." Sam smiled.

"Hey baby, come to see the new sport we just invented?" Max asked.

"A new sport that almost killed me just a second ago, no thanks." Kitty turned that down immediately.

Kitty has wide, lime green eyes and tan fur. She is also 5 foot 6", excluding hair and ears. She has mid-length, wavy black hair. Kitty wears a dark teal suit and belt, and her headband, turtleneck sweater, gloves and high-heeled boots are white. Kitty has a long, tan tail, and like most cats, has sharp, retractable claws and whiskers. Breasts size: K-cup.

"Come on, we want to share our amazing idea with the world that bowling, and baseball can be a great combination if you train hard enough to master it." Max proclaimed.

"It can revolutionary the world of sports before we know it, and you could even get your own trading card." Sam said, trying to sweeten the deal.

"I already have my own trading card. Two, in fact, from when I was working undercover as a basketball player and the other is the secret agent one. Most people think I'm not real from the cards, which is how I like it." Kitty showed the two trading cards.

"Oh yeah, I think I have one of those." Sam recalled getting a card of Kitty.

"Didn't you use it clean some stuff off from between your toes?" Max asked.

"It was a good thing to use, my toes never felt freer from between each other." Sam looked down at his toes, wiggling them.

Hearing that gross Kitty out that she almost threw up, but she held it back and calm herself down.

"How you guys ended up even becoming freelance police, I'll never know." Kitty sighed.

"Aw, don't be jealous, Kitty. It's not your fault that you couldn't become President of the United State." Max bragged that seem to make Kitty a little angry.

"Not even going there, again." Kitty muttered, keeping herself calm.

"Now, shouldn't you guys be getting ready for the new recruit? He should at least see that you guys are trying to make yourself look presentable." Kitty asked as she looks around the office.

"Hey, we are the most presentable people you'll ever know!" Max proclaimed.

"Tell that to the creepy dead hand you have hanging at the top of your closet." Kitty pointed at the dead hand being displayed over the door of the closet.

"That hand is legendary! That hand belonged to none other than Jesse James himself!" Sam defended the great hand.

"And what was he great about again?" Kitty asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Wait, wait, did you just say new recruit?" Sam asked, finally realizing what Kitty just said.

"Yeah, the new recruit that is coming here today to start his first day as a Junior Freelance Police, the one that you two recruited two months ago." Kitty said.

But Sam and Max just look at each other confused on what their agent friend is even talking about, seeing their expressions just got Kitty to be angry again.

"Are you two telling me that you completely forgotten about the new recruit?!" Kitty yelled a little with her eyes turning red.

"Kitty, if we had known that we would be getting a new recruit then we would've put a reminder to let us know." Max said.

"Like the words "New Recruit Coming Today!" written on your calendar and even having your office expanded by nine feet to make room." Kitty pointed at the calendar and showed the extra space in the office.

"I thought our office felt roomer than before." Max noticed this.

"I even came over here to welcome the new guy with some fresh baked peach cookies." Kitty showed them the box of cookies which both Freelance Polices took in a big sniff.

"It would seem the freshly smell of cookies has jolted my memory about the new recruit." Sam said.

"Me too. Isn't the guy Japanese or something?" Max asked, hoping he got that right even though he didn't care.

"He is, and he should be arriving soon." Sam nodded.

"How soon are we talking about?" Max asked.

"According to the reminder on the calendar, the new recruit should be here at 3:00pm." Sam read the calendar.

"Oh, we got plenty of time." Max smiled.

"It's three minutes until 3:00pm." Kitty said showing the time on her IPhone.

"Shit!" Max cursed as he snapped his fingers.

(One Street Away)

The scene now shows a street with a bus stop and the bench, and a bus came to a stop, opening the door to let out one young man coming out.

"I'm here, The Street of New York city!" The boy smiled.

This boy is about 17 years old though he is somewhat short for his age, his round face is framed by a short mop of fluffy dark-green hair which curls up at odd angles around his head, casting noticeably dark shadows onto itself. His eyes are large and somewhat circular, and his irises are the same shade of green as his hair, giving him an innocent, energized appearance. He has a set of four symmetrical freckles in diamond formations, one on each cheek. He wears an emerald color suit including the pants, white shirt underneath the jacket, red tie, and has his own signature red shoes.

This boy is Izuku Midoriya, the new Freelance recruit who is going to be working with Sam and Max.

"This is it, a new life for me and on my way to becoming a hero in my own way." Izuku talked to him.

"I just hope I can make a good impression on those guys; would they even take me seriously or take me on any case?" Izuku asked himself, feeling nervous.

"You're overthinking things again, my cinnamon bunny beloved." A young woman said walking out of the bus.

"I know, it just this will be my first step towards to becoming a hero and I really want to do well with these guys. I don't regret taking the offer to work with them." Izuku said, trying to calm himself down.

"Not only that, but I'm really glad that you're here with me, D5." Izuku smiled at the girl and said her name.

"Like I was going to let you go do something big on your own, and I also want to go on many adventures with you." D5 smiled.

D5 is a young woman with brown skin, long pale light lime-green hair that does down to her waist, and brown eyes behind green-framed glasses. She wears what appears to be a black uniform with the lines are green, two fingerless gloves, one leg brace on the thigh, and long boots that go up to the middle of the lower half. Breasts sizes: L-cup.

"Of course, you wouldn't let me go on a big adventure on my own." Izuku chuckled and took her hand in his.

"And I'm glad you talked me into letting you come here to America." Izuku said.

"You really are the greatest girlfriend a guy could ask for." Izuku smiled as they pressed their foreheads onto each other.

"And you're the most amazing boyfriend in the entire universe." D5 smiled, full truth and all.

Izuku and D5 look at each other for a moment that felt like longer to them and then they kiss each other on the lips.

"Aw! Now isn't that the sweetest thing ever?" A girl asked, finding the couple to be adorable.

Izuku and D5 separated themselves upon hearing that and look to see a girl with a very fluffy tail.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ruin your moment; I was just on my way to see some friends of mine and I just happened to see you two." The girl explained.

"That's okay… But has your tail always been so fluffy that I want to hug it so much?" D5 asked as she adjusted her glasses and stares at the big fluffy tail.

"Oh, then yes, yes, it is." The girl nodded.

"Anyway, I can tell that you guys are new here. My name is Makoto Nanaya, it's a pleasure to meet you." Makoto introduced herself.

Makoto is a squirrel-type demi-human young lady with short brown hair, a big curly brown tail, hazel eyes, and large breasts. She wears an orange fighter top showing the bottom-half of her bosom, two tonfas, black strap panties with an orange skirt-like cloth that allows most of her buttocks to escape, long black stockings, and orange small boots with yellow toes. Breasts size: I-cup.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Izuku Midoriya and this is my girlfriend, D5. We're both from Japan." Izuku introduced himself and his girlfriend.

"No way, I come from a family of Japanese!" Makoto smiled.

"I thought I recognize a little Japanese resembles upon first look." D5 said.

"Wow, you have such a cute face that it's like you're a bunny!" Makoto complimented.

"Oh, huh, thank you!" Izuku blushed with Makoto being closer, and her breasts bounces a little on his sight.

"Oh, are you going to ask her out and start a harem?" D5 whispered in Izuku's ear teasing him a little.

"What?! No, why could you even ask that?!" Izuku gasped blushing.

"What did she say?" Makoto asked.

"Nothing that you need to know!" Izuku turned down the answer.

"A-Anyway, do you by any chance know where we can find the office of the Freelance Police, Sam and Max?" Izuku asked to quickly change the subject.

"Sam and Max? Now hold on, are you the new recruit?" Makoto asked shock.

"I am." Izuku nodded.

"Wow, talk about a weird coincidence! I was just on my way there to welcome the new guy, and welcome to the Street!" Makoto shook their hands at the same time and shook them up and down a little.

"Wow, you really got a pair of strong hands!" Izuku was surprised.

"Indeed, it feels like I'm going shaking hands with a gorilla ten times stronger than a normal one." D5 bragged a little.

"Thanks, I do a LOT of training to become the strong young policewoman I am today though I'm only a cadet right now." Makoto smiled, feeling pride in her strength.

"Come on, their office is just down the street over there." Makoto decided to lead them the way.

Izuku carried his backup and suitcases while D5 moves her four attached suitcases along like they're a long suitcase together.

"You know, I'm a little concern about how you put your suitcases together like that." Izuku reminded his girlfriend about her luggage.

"You make it sound like it's a bad thing." D5 raised an eyebrow.

"I'm just saying that could cause an accident." Izuku said.

"Such a thing will not happen. You know better than anyone that I'm always careful with my things." D5 proclaimed.

But suddenly, a guy riding on his bike trips over on the iron balls and he was sent flying to crash into a trashcan.

"Five! Are you okay!" A girl called out as she runs up to her friend.

D5 just felt like she went a little pale to know that someone got hurt because of her iron ball, and she can feel that is giving her the slight scolding look with the hint of "I told you so" feeling from it.

"Not a word from you." D5 said before walking again.

They make their way to the building where the freelance police are stationed which will also become Izuku's office to share with, he gets nervous and starts to sweat a little only to calm down when D5 kissed his cheek.

"Their office is on the second floor, hopefully they haven't done anything too crazy like they always have." Makoto led them inside and up the stairs.

"Do you think they'll like me?" Izuku asked.

"Please, those guys are a hoot to hang around and if they're willing to take in a guy like you into their circle of insane adventures then they must've seen something special in you." Makot believed.

They arrived at the door, where Max was suddenly sent flying out and splatted onto a wall.

"Are you okay?" Izuku asked.

"Totally, just testing out how Sam's throw is." Max said before Izuku peel him off the wall and place him down.

"It's nice to meet you, I'm Izuku Midoriya. The new recruit who's going to be joining from this day forth." Izuku introduced himself.

"Sweet, but now I have to the idea of hunting you like a rapid dog and bite your leg to drag you back into the office." Max was disappointed that his fun idea has been cancelled.

Hearing that got Izuku and D5 to freak out a little from Max looking savage for a moment there.

"Hey Sam, the new kid is here!" Max shouted.

"By the Holy Meatiness of a Hamburger with a side order of salad that is all green, welcome to the Freelance Police. I'm Sam, and you already met my partner and best friend, Max." Sam greeted.

"Hi, I'm Kitty, just a friend who wants to welcome you." Kitty greeted and offered some cookies to them.

"Stick with us, kid. You're about to become something greater than you could ever dream of!" Max excitedly as he shoots four to five bullets at the ceiling, and part of the ceiling fell right on top of Sam.

"That just makes me feel more worried than ever for my Deku." D5 said honestly.

"(I'm starting to question if I made the right choice by working with them.)" Izuku thought started to sweat a little fear.
