I don't own Star Wars Rebels

Ezra woke up because of... well, he just woke up for no reason at all. For a while, he just lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling, noting that for some reason he couldn't hear the breathing, or rather snoring, of Zeb, that he was used to. So, he leaned over the partition and instead of seeing Zeb, he saw ... a droid.

"Chopper?" The young Jedi muttered, squinting to make out the shape in the darkness.

"Woob, woob," Chopper piped.

"What are you doing here?" тихо The guy asked quietly, looking under the bunk once more. "Where's Zeb?"

"Woob, woob, woob."

"Oh, that's kind of him," he remarked, pulling the pillow closer to the edge so that he could rest his head but see the droid. – But what are you doing here?"

"Woob, woob.

"Oh," Ezra said. "That's nice of her.

"Woob, woob, woob, woob!" The droid squeaked loudly, clearly displeased.

"Yeah, yeah, thanks to you too Chopper," the guy smirked. – You are the best guardian of my sleep.

For a while after that, Ezra just lay on his side, staring at Chopper's outline, until he was thirsty. So, he turned and jumped to the floor, slowing his fall and the sound with the Force.

"Woob, woob!" Chopper swore, turning on the flashlight and looking directly at him.

"Yes, yes, I'll be careful," Ezra nodded, squinting in the bright light as he landed fairly close to the droid.

Without changing his clothes, the guy opened the doors and went out to the kitchen to get a drink of water.

Well, when Ezra went out to drink, he obviously didn't expect to meet Sabine. No, he had always assumed that the Mandalorian liked to draw at night when the ship was quiet, but at that moment she was reading something on her datapad.

So, he drank the tea that the girl sweetly offered, and then went to the cabin. And now he was lying on the bed, thinking.

Even though he wasn't really attuned to Sabine's emotions, he could still feel the sadness radiating from her. Ezra knew he was upset, too. They didn't have much contact as it was compared to him and the rest of the crew, and now she was reaching out, but because of... because of the events that had happened, he couldn't stand it. So, he forced himself to stop paying attention. Sabine was a tough girl, much tougher than he was, and she wouldn't be upset about it for long.

He, on the other hand, had been waiting so long for her to initiate the contact. Yes, when he first took her hand, she didn't pull away, but she probably didn't like it very much.

Go back to sleep, Ezra told himself, closing his eyes. "Otherwise, you'll end up upset, and you don't need that right now."

"Mmm..." the Seventh Sister cooed, sitting down in front of the boy. " What a cute little face you have."

The visor of her helmet automatically opened, revealing her yellow eyes and face again. A color that almost made him, if not vomit, then definitely disgust.

She caught his gaze lingering on hers. She grinned at that, barring her teeth. He instinctively pressed himself against the wall, away from her...

"You like my eyes, huh?" she asked, smiling. "So let me show you a closer look."

With that, the Inquisitor moved closer, sitting on his lap. Now her face was only a couple of inches away from his, yellow staring into blue.

Ezra felt his breathing begin to quicken and tried to turn his head away so that he wouldn't see her so close, but after a moment she grabbed his face, digging her nails into his skin.

"Well, well, Honey ..." she whispered, getting even closer that he could feel her breath on his skin. – Don't worry, I'm sure you'll like it..."

The next moment, Ezra felt a chill on his lips as she kissed him. He tried to pull away, but her hands moved and grabbed his hips sharply, holding him in place.

"Come on, let's see what we have here..." she whispered, starting to kiss him even harder.

He could feel the Inquisitor practically shoving her tongue down his throat, twirling it. Her hands began to move slowly but surely towards his groin...

"No, no, no!" Ezra tried to resist, but he could feel her hands getting closer.

"Ez..."

"We both know what you liked back then," Seventh Sister cooed in his ear.

- ra...

"No, no, no!"

"Mmm... what a healthy boy," she whispered, running her tongue down his neck, her hands reaching his groin. – Let's do the second round, because we were distracted last time... come on, you'll like it even more..."

- No! - Ezra awoke abruptly, opening his eyes to see only the ceiling in the darkness of the room.

His breathing was ragged, and his heart was pounding in his chest. He could feel the tears on his cheeks and... someone touching him, stroking his arm. His heart almost stopped in fear. Without much thought, he pulled away abruptly and held out his hand to push the unwanted guest away. Then he extended his hand towards his lightsaber, the muzzle of which was immediately pointed at the guest as soon as the sword was in his hand.

A body slammed against the door, causing a slight crash, followed by a groan. Ezra was almost certain it was Kanan, but it wasn't entirely clear. At least that was the case until the Chopper turned on, judging by the red LED flashing again on its body, after which it electrocuted the attacker.

The visitor squealed, and now he was absolutely sure it was Kanan. However, this didn't make him relax, but rather the opposite.

"Kanan, what the hell?" he snarled, setting his lightsaber aside.

Kanan awoke in the middle of the night to waves of fear and terror. For a while, he felt uncomfortable, as he didn't understand where all this was coming from. It wasn't until he closed his eyes and reached out to the Force that he recognized the source was his Padawan. Apparently, his brain was tired of holding on to the mental shields, and they were partially lowered, allowing emotions to flow into their Force Link.

Kanan got up quickly, putting on his shirt, then went out to check on Ezra. However, on the way, he met Sabine, who was walking towards his room.

"Kanan! – Hey, " she called. "Ezra is having a nightmare, but I have no idea what to do."

Partly the girl lied, because she knew what to do, namely, to wake up the guy. But after his last reaction to the touch, she was afraid that she would make him even more terrified. So, she gritted her heart and went to the elder Jedi, hoping that he would use his Power to help him.

Without another word, they made their way to Ezra's room, where Kanan summoned the Force to open the doors.

"I'll stay here," the Mandalorian said, drawing a puzzled look from the Jedi. – I almost never let Ezra into my room, so it's only fair that I don't visit him.

Kanan found such an "excuse" rather pointless, especially from a brash girl like Sabine, but he didn't press the issue, thinking it was none of his business.

So, he entered the cabin, and the doors closed.

He would have to tell Zeb to stop knocking on the door, or the next time the door closed, he thought, it would hurt someone.

He could barely see in the dark, but the outline of the bed was visible. He moved closer and stood on the lower bunk so that his head was higher than the upper bunk.

"No, no," Ezra muttered, clearly in a nightmare.

"Ezra," Kanan called. "Ezra!"

When the boy didn't react at all, but continued to toss and mutter, the Jedi started shaking his hand, hoping to wake him up from the dream.

"No, no..."

- No! - the guy stopped abruptly after a particularly loud shout.

Ezra lay there for about a minute, his breathing too fast, so Kanan kept stroking his arm, hoping to calm him down. However, he was clearly mistaken.

After a moment, the guy pulled away and apparently used Force, as Kanan flew to the door and rather not weakly hit his head on the metal doors. He reached out and was about to touch his head when he heard the sound of the droid turning on.

"Chopper here?" The older Jedi barely had time to think before he was electrocuted. He gave a small yelp of surprise and pain.

After a few seconds, which seemed like a minute, the electric shock also stopped, and Kanan simply leaned his head back against the cool wall, intending to rest for a moment, but his plans were abruptly thwarted.

"Kanan, what the hell?" He heard Ezra growl.

"Yes, and Hera would have scolded you", the Jedi thought, remembering the pilot's attitude to swearing. "She's not here, though."

"I just wanted to..."

"What did you want?" The boy continued to growl, and Kanan felt a clear surge of fear and anger from him. Knowing that his Padawan wasn't going to listen right now, he wasn't going to stand up to him.

The doors opened behind him, and he almost fell on his back, but he steadied himself with a hand on the floor.

"I was worried about you," Sabine said as she appeared. – You screamed. I was scared.

"I..." it seemed that as soon as the girl appeared, all the fervor of the guy was extinguished, replaced by sadness and absent-mindedness, although he still felt a hint of fear.

Ezra didn't say anything, so it was all an awkward silence, and it was Kanan who felt out of place... and Chopper ... Chopper!

"Why did you electrocute me?" The senior Jedi asked, looking at the droid, whose stun gun still hadn't been removed.

"Woob, woob."

"That's only possible if your sensors are out of order, and we replaced them with newer models a month ago," Kanan said, still frowning at the droid.

"Woob, woob!"

"I would never -"

"Thanks, Chop," the guy said, interrupting the argument as he rolled over and swung his legs over the side of the bunk, then jumped to the floor. Now Kanan and the Mandalorian could see his red eyes and the dried tears on his cheeks.

Once again, the Mandalorian felt guilty that she hadn't heard him scream right away. After all, the plan was to keep an eye on the guy, and in the end, it turned out to be practically useless. She found an interesting article about comparing different pocket blasters, trying to find the best option, and read it too much, so she ignored the first cry. Surprisingly, only Kanan woke up, but not all of them at once.

"Where are you going?" Kanan asked as the boy walked past him.

"I don't want to sleep," Ezra shrugged, almost walking past her as well, but she held out her hand in front of him, not touching him, but stopping him.

"Ezra, it's about two and a half in the morning, and you should continue to sleep..."

By the way, why isn't Sabine sleeping, Kanan wondered, but didn't ask the question just yet.

"...you should sleep too, Sabine, " the young Jedi said instead, and Kanan nodded.

"I have unfinished business," the Mandalorian disagreed, crossing her arms over her chest.

"You said it was two and a half in the morning," the guy said, leaning back against the wall, facing her. – You should go to bed too..."

"Children» Kanan tried but was abruptly interrupted.

"We'll figure it out!" They both said at the same time, turning their heads in the Jedi's direction.

Realizing that he wasn't going to be listened to right now, Kanan sighed and continued to sit on the floor. "How does Hera keep everyone in line?" he thought, then decided to get up from the floor anyway. It seemed that the children… Although the word "kids" obviously doesn't apply here: Sabine was a Mandalorian whose hobby was pyromania, and Ezra, a force-sensitive kid who'd been living alone since he was seven. The closest thing for them is "teenagers".

"...you need to go to bed!" Sabine demanded more loudly.

"And you should, too!" Ezra also demanded.

"I'll go to bed as soon as you go to bed," the girl said, lying as she was about to continue watching him.

"I can't be completely sure that you're not lying to me and that you won't stay awake!" - said the guy.

"Ezra, Sabine," Kanan called cautiously, stepping closer and placing a hand on their shoulders.

Once again, the young Jedi twisted out of his grasp, giving him an exasperated look.

"I already told you, don't touch me! he snarled, taking a step back from them. – I'm not going to bed," he said firmly.

"Hell," Kanan swore, watching the boy walk toward the mess hall and the kitchen. As soon as he disappeared through the closing doors, he was attacked.

"What the hell, Kanan?" Sabine hissed, glancing at him. – He's just been raped, and you're messing around with your ... agrh!"

She knew that she was being a bit of a hypocrite, as she had been touching him for a few more hours, wanting to support him, but she couldn't help it.

"Whoa, whoa, sorry," the older Jedi said, holding up his hands. - It's hard to accept in one day that Ezra doesn't like being touched when he was looking for it before.

"Okay, that's fair enough," the girl nodded. – But keep your hands to yourself.

Kanan nodded, then felt like he was electrocuted again, causing his hair to slightly stand on end. He spun around and saw Chopper, the taser still in plain sight.

"Are you kidding me?" Kanan asked, barely able to contain his irritation.

"Woob, woob, woob!" Chopper grumbled, then drove weakly but deliberately into his leg and then drove off to join Ezra.

"I went to bed, I'm no good anyway," Kanan said. He felt guilty that he was leaving and leaving the guy in the care of a Mandalorian, but right now he was only annoying them, and he trusted her.

Sabine made her way to the mess hall as the senior Jedi retreated to his quartersу. She was partly annoyed that he'd just left Ezra, but on the other hand, she preferred to keep an eye on him herself. She already had an extra Chopper, no need for any more hassle.

Ezra sat on the couch with a glass of water, his head turned toward the droid, listening. Chopper was saying something in a low voice that made the boy smile. Sabine didn't hear, but she doubted she should come forward and interrupt their conversation. To be honest, she was a little surprised now and earlier when the droid was being so nice to Ezra. He had protected him earlier and had apparently been in his room when he was sleeping, and now he was clearly cheering him up.

She saw the guy reach out and pat Chopper on the head, and Chopper grumbled something that made his smile again.

Ezra looked up, and their eyes met. He looked confused for a moment, but then he smiled.

"Come here," he said, patting the seat next to him and setting the glass down on the table.

Sabine slowly and slightly hesitantly walked over and sat down on the sofa, keeping a distance between them. Ezra turned his head in her direction, looking slightly upset.

"I'm sorry I snapped at you," he apologized. – You just meant well.

"It's not easy for you right now," she said, wanting to touch him and comfort him, but knowing from bitter experience that it would only be the opposite of that.

"But I shouldn't have -"

"Ezra," Sabine interrupted firmly, but not aggressively. – I don't blame you. I wasn't really any better. I should have listened to you, not pushed you.

"Woob, woob!" said Chopper.

"Yes, I agree," the Mandalorian nodded, echoing the droid's opinion. When he pulled out the taser, she threatened, " Just try it, or I'll paint you pink."

Ezra giggled next to her, and she smiled at it before she remembered how they got here.

"Ezra," she called softly. – Was it... was it a nightmare?"

"Yes," he nodded, turning his face slightly away.

"I'm sorry," Sabine said. – You... you want to talk about it?"

"No," the young Jedi said sharply, and then answered more calmly. – No, I don't want to talk about it.

Sabine felt a little guilty, relieved by his response. She was never very good at this kind of conversation. She didn't really know how to talk about any of her feelings and emotions, let alone listen and give advice on them.

"Is that why you don't want to go to bed?" the girl asked.

There was no answer for a few minutes, but then there was a quiet " Yes."

- Is there anything I... - Chopper lightly butted her leg. – Is there anything we can do to help?"

"I don't know," the guy shrugged. "I usually just don't pay attention to my nightmares.

"Usually?" she asked. – Why didn't you tell me you had nightmares?"

"And why?" he asked wearily. – You've never asked, and anyway, why would tell anyone?"

Sabine nodded silently, because he was absolutely right. She followed the same logic herself when she sometimes had nightmares. When it did happen, she preferred painting and updating the armor painting to calm down. On this basis, she came up with an idea.

"When I'm stressed, I draw," said the Mandalorian.

"And?"

"You can draw in my room," Sabine said.

- What?! - Ezra asked, surprised. – Will you let me draw on the walls?"

"What, no, of course not," she snorted slightly. – I'll give you a little sketchbook where you can draw.

"And you're letting me do this in my room...?"

"I don't want you to feel lonely," she said, but then added, thinking she'd been too soft, " and I also want to see the ugliness you're going to draw."

"Hey! Ezra protested, but his lips turned up in a smile.

"Woob, woob?" Chopper asked.

"Yes, you can join us since you've been well behaved," the Mandalorian nodded, then stood up from the sofa. "Come on. You can take the glass away later when you go to bed.
