"What is wrong with you?" Kellie asked.
"All will be right once you're shoved back into the dimension we sent you to," Ilyria said, shoved her arm against Kellie's neck to apply pressure, "I know I'm not supposed to kill humans. But I can't let you live and risk Lilith taking you over completely."
"I'm not going to let her do that," Kellie choked out as Angel and Spike scrambled to pull Illyria off Kellie. However, Illyria unleashed her power repelling them back.
"Tiny pathetic human," Illyria said, "You know not what you speak of. Do you really thinking you can stand against Lilith? She will have you as her vessel unless you're dead."
"Illyria, let's not be hasty," Wesley said as Johnny marched over, pulling his gun out.
Johnny lined up his shot as Gunn got in the way and Faith ran past them to try to stop Illyria.
"I can't let you do that to Fred," Gunn said as Kellie shoved Illyria across the room sending her flying into Faith, Wesley, and Teagan.
"Well your friend is trying to kill Kellie," Johnny said as wind and object flew by, causing him and Gunn to duck.
Kellie caught the crown with her hand as she marched over to Illyria. The crown shimmered and its grey glow began to spread around Kellie.
"I have no idea what you are," Kellie said, towering over Illyria and holding her down with her foot, "Or what your beef with Lilith is. I'm not going anywhere. I have way too much to lose to let her take over or get near my family. So you can either play nice or I'll figure out exactly how to use this power to keep you in your place."
"I'd like to see you try," Ilyria said as Kellie pushed her foot down harder on Ilyria causing her to squirm.
"Enough," Teagan said, yanking the crown out of Kellie's hand, immediately causing the shimmering light to stop. Angel yanked Kellie off Ilyria and Spike and Faith blocked Illyria from taking another shot at Kellie.
"I don't what know ancient demon or being has possessed you," Teagan said to Illyria.
"I'm an old one," Illyria interrupted, "You mewling witch."
Teagan rolled her eyes as she continued to speak, "but it would be more helpful if you would tell us what you know about Lilith and the rituals before resorting to killing."
"And you," Cordelia said, getting in Kellie's face, "hands off the crown."
"I didn't touch it on purpose," Kellie said, "It just came to me."
"Because you summoned it somehow," Teagan said, "Lilith's crown must be the conduit for transferring her power, her essence, her being whatever if it is to her chosen vessel. She's right you can't touch it. I'm guessing that while the ritual was interrupted, the ritual may only speed up the process once it's started. It's also possible touching the crown may also speed up the process or allow more access to Lilith's powers."
"We need to keep the crown far enough away from Kellie, so she can't summon it like that again," Wesley said.
"Maybe Lorne could keep it at his club," Angel said.
"The no violence thing would be beneficial," Cordelia asked, "Has anyone filled Lorne in on the situation?"
"No not yet, why don't you and I take the crown," Angel said, "and fill him in."
"Would this be your way of trying to get me alone?" Cordelia said, looping her arm around Angel.
"That is a bonus," Angel smiled.
"We'll get to work on looking through all our books," Wesley said.
"Spike, see if you can get Illyria to talk," Angel said.
"Oh joy," Spike replied.
"That won't be necessary," Illyria said, "As much as I would enjoy putting my pet in his place, I don't have time that. Not with the she-devil about walk the earth again. Lilith and her consort, Lucifer, created the old ones, in addition to vampires and the other run of the mill demons around here."
"Wait a minute. But what about Malokar?" Wesley asked, trying to make sense of Teagan and Illyria's information, "According to Xander and Giles, he's an old one that created the first vampire. They spoke with him at some point."
"That braggart," Illyria snapped, "Of course he would take credit for making the first vampire. He did make his own vampire which Lilith's killed. Lilith and Lucifer were creating vampires and demons to go against us when we refused to be let them dominate us anymore or decree we would let the human rebels live as our slaves. Lilith was just in love with that so-called first human Adam who was using her to subjugate her and take over her armies. We killed Lilith and Lucifier and sent their essences to separate dimensions.
Wesley shook his head and muttered to himself, "This is a lot to take in. None of this is in any resource I know of. If only I still had access to Wolfram and Harts library."
"You don't need that," Teagan said, shifting her bag, "I have access to a lot of resources. Kind of a lending library between covens. When you talk about Lucifer are you referring to the fallen angel from the bible?"
"Unfortunately," Illyria said, "Although fallen angel is a bit of a misnomer."
"Yes, well there is a lot of myths and history to sort through," Wesley said, "Illyria, you're with Teagan and I. The rest of you all, go do what you need to do. So we can sort this out."
Everyone scattered. Wesley, Teagan,and Ilyria were pouring over books when Angel and Cordelia walked in with the crown.
"I thought you were taking the crown to Lorne," Wesley said.
"We were," Cordelia said, "But whoever was holding the crown couldn't leave the building."
"So it's tethered to Kellie," Teagan said, "Won't allow itself to be taken too far away from her."
"I'll hide and guard the crown," Ilyria said, snatching the crown. Illyria took off before anyone could stop her.
