WE ARE ALL RUNNING OUT OF TIME…

HIMARI'S POV:
How strange, I dreamt of a horse drawn carriage…. Going towards a strange dark castle…since when did I ever dream about castles and stuff….
Wait…
Why is it so dark…. What happened to me… last thing I remembered was school… I was trying to find…
TSUKIKO! HOSHIKO! W-WE WERE FALLING! WAIT?! DOES THAT MEAN THAT WE'RE…..
IT'S SO DARK… AND IT FEELS CRAMPED….
BANG BANG
HUH?! Wait… what's that noise?
"Crap! People are coming… gotta get a uniform while…."
Wait… who is that…. Is someone else here with me?!
"Grrrr…. Huff, huff,….The lid is too heavy."
"Time for my…SECRET MOVE! FNNNAAHH, THERE!"
FWWOOOM
All of a sudden an explosion of Blue flames appeared. Slowly starting to light up what now seems to be a box or coffin.
"GYAAAH!" I screamed trying desperately to get out. "HELP LET ME OUT!"
"NEE-SAN?! ARE YOU IN THERE?"
"HIMA-NEE!"
All of a sudden the lid was taken off and my eyes started to feel blurry with tears as I see my sisters and they were the ones who opened the lid looking Surprised and relieved.
"Thank goodness we found you Nee-san" cried Tsukiko… if they were happy I was thrice as happy. I jumped out and hugged both of them tears streaming down my eyes. "Idiots! I should be the one who is happy to see you both!" Both of my sisters just smiled and hugged me tighter. Our happy reunion was short lived when a voice said…
"Okay, okay, gotta get…..WHAAAA! WHY ARE YOU UP!?"
All 3 of us turned around to see a small greyish feline like creature with bluish flames on his ears and a pitchforked tail. A black and white striped ribbon tied around it's neck. Floating and looking rather surprised to see us.
I then noticed the room we were in was a grand hallway with coffins floating around.
"We're in a room with floating coffins?!" I mumbled.
"Oh cool… A talking raccoon!" squealed Hoshiko excitedly going all sparkly eyed at the flying furry creature, who did not seem too pleased with the comment.
"Just who are you calling a raccoon!" huffed the creature angrily, "I am the Great Grim."
Grim… so that it's name….
Grim's annoyed face then changed into a mischievous smirk. I did not like that look, instinctively I pulled my two sisters behind me ready to protect them.
"Well, whatever. Hey Humans!" Grim began, "Hurry and gimme those clothes!"
It was then I looked at mine and my sisters outfits and realized we weren't wearing our high school uniforms. Instead we were wearing what seems like Dark purple hooded robes with gold trimmings. What the heck?!
"Give them to me! Otherwise….I'LL ROAST YA!" All of sudden the little furball began to breath out blue flames.
"KYAHH" cried Tsukiko
"WHOAH COOL!" exclaimed Hoshiko looking amazed by it. (Seriously?!)
"Come on girls!" I shouted grabbing both my sister's hands, "Dream or not…. There is now way we will be getting roasted by this creepy raccoon!"
We quickly ran out of the room hearing Grim shouting angrily "I SAID I AM NOT A FREAKING RACCOON!"
"Where are we going Neesan?" Tsukiko asked
We were running around from room to room, trying to find the exit out of this bizzare place. It seems we are in a school of some sort, kinda reminds me of Hogwarts from Harry Potter. We keep running around in each turn until we ended up in some sort of library room.
All of us trying to catch our breath.
"Man…." I breathed out, "I think we lost it!"
"Where the heck are we?" Hoshiko pondered looking around in awe.
"Don't know…" I groaned, "if this is a dream I want us to wake up!"
FWOOM
We all jumped up by surprised by the burst of blue flame. We then see Grim floating by near the book shelves looking rather smugged.
"Did you really think you'd get away from my nose? Dumb Humans!"
I quickly stood in front of my two sisters getting ready to fight this little furball if I had to.
Grim starts to get closer to us, "If you don't wanna get roasted, better hand over-"
WHOP-PSHHH
We all get surprised as Grim suddenly gets lassoed.
"GYAH! OW!" Grim cried out in pain, while struggling to free itself from the cord. "What's with this cord?"
"This is no mere cord. It is a lash of love!"
We turn towards the person who saved us. There standing and holding onto the cord was a tall man in a most bizarre type of outfit. He was wearing what looks like a coat over his suit, with thick blackbird feathers curl out from its blue collars, kinda looking like a pair of wings, He was wearing a half mask that looks like a raven's beak and wearing a top hat.
It was strange though…
I've never seen this guy before…
But why does he feel so familiar?
Our masked savior round up the mischievous creature looking a bit annoyed. He then looked at us and gave a sigh of relief.
"Ah, found you three at last. Are you one of the new students?"
Before we could answer he continued, "You shouldn't do things like that. Leaving the Gate on your own!"
"Huh?" we all said looking rather confused. (Was this guy scolding us?)
"Not only that," he said crossing his arms in disappointment, "you have yet to tame your familiar, which has broken a number of school rules."
"LET ME GO!" Grim cried out still struggling, "I'M NOT THEIR FREAKIN' FAMILIAR!"
"Sure, sure," the man said dismissively, "the rebellious ones always say things like that. Just quiet down for a moment" He then snapped his fingers and the cord magically curled around to cover the feline's mouth.
"MMMPH! MMMPH!"
From behind me I could hear Hoshiko giggling, glad to see someone among us three doesn't seem to be weirded out by this whole thing.
The man then looks at us as he continues, "My goodness. It's unprecedented for any new students to leave the Gate on their own. Ugh…. How impatient can you three be? The entrance ceremony is already well underway. Let's head to the hall of Mirrors."
"New Student?" I thought "Gate?"
As if he was reading my mind the masked man then replied, "It's the room you lot woke up in with all of the doors. All students who wish to attend this academy must pass through one of these doors to arrive here." He looked on at us in wonder and a bit if annoyance, "Normally, students wake up only after the door is opened with a special key but…"
"Ummm…."Tsukiko said shyly slowly raising her hand up, "actually sir, my sister and my coffin suddenly opened up" she said gesturing to herself and Hoshiko, "while we had to get our older sister out of hers because of the fire that little one almost made" she continued now pointing to me then to Grim.
"I see, this is the first time I heard of such a predicament with you two… and for your sister there, it seems in the end, the culprit appears to be this familiar." The man concluded looking at the still bounded Grim. He looks at us as he continues "If you're going to bring it with you, you have to take responsibility and properly take care of it."
I couldn't help but feel rather offended by this guy, that little furball almost roasted me and my sisters and we are the ones getting told off!?
"Hey, mister look here! That creepy furball isn't ours!" I said angrily.
"Oh my…"said the man (that jerk wasn't even listening to me!) "now is not the time to be long winded. The entrance ceremony will soon come to a close!"
"Come along, let's get a move on." He said as he starts to gesture us out.
"Hey wait a minute!" I said glaring at him, he seemed a bit surprised at my sudden action. "Who exactly are you? Also, where the heck are we anyway?" I asked.
The man looks at me and my two sisters are bit puzzled by my question. "What's this? Are you still dazed? It appears the teleportation magic has left you disoriented." He then shrugs as he says, "Well, it is fine. It happens often enough. I shall give you an explanation as we make our way there. For I am gracious."
I almost wanted to gag when he said the last part. What an ego!
Nevertheless, we followed him out, waiting for the answers he will give us.
We soon arrived to what appears to be the courtyard, the man then turns to us giving a bit of a cough to grab our attention before he began to say "This is Night Raven College. Those magicians blessed with a unique aptitude for magic gather from all around the world, here at the most prestigious magical academy in Twisted Wonderland."
Our eyes widen in shock. I could hear Tsukiko gasping, while Hoshiko muttered from under her breath "WOW!"
The man seemed a bit amused by our reaction as he continued, "and I am the principal, appointed to take care of this academy by the board chairman, Dire Crowley!"
It took me a bit of a few mins before I stuttered, "Ma-magician?"
Crowley nodded as he said on, "Only those magicians seen as worthy by the Dark Mirror can attend this school. Chosen ones use the Gate and are summoned here from around the world. An Ebony carriage carrying a Gate should have gone to meet you three as well."
Suddenly an image popped up from my memories, the one with the castle and a horse drawn carriage.
"I think…" I said slowly "I remember about a horse and a carriage…"
Both my sisters looked at me in surprise.
Crowley continued, "The Ebony carriage goes to welcome new students chosen by the Dark Mirror. They are… special carriages that carry the doors to the academy. The market decided long ago that carriages are used to welcome people on special days."
"SO YOU'RE SAYING THAT CARRIAGE BROUGHT US HERE ON IT'S OWN!?" This was too much! I remembered we were falling to our deaths and now we somehow ended up in this place!
"Mmmph! Mmmph!" Grim was continuing to struggled to free itself from the cord. All of us ignored him as me and my sisters were still in shock at this whole revelation.
Crowley looks at us for a bit before he starts to gently pat my head gesturing us to move. "Come," he said "Let's go to the entrance ceremony."
We just silently nodded and let him lead us on down the dark and quiet hallways.
Oh mom, dad and dear granny… what the heck had we gotten ourselves into?
Whew! Here is where this chapter ends. Sorry again, for the rusty writing. I really hope that you liked it though. Hopefully I can do another chapter tom. For now enjoy the 2 chapters.
