PROLOGUE CHAPTER 006

HOSHIKO'S POV:

All of us gasped and looked at the Masked principal. His face looked really pissed. I then turned to see both Deuce and Ace shaking in fear at what Mr. Crowley just said.

"EEEEEEHHHHHH!" Both boys cried out.

"Please!" Deuce pleaded, "Anything but that! I have things I have to do at this school!"

"You have nothing to blame but your own idiocy." Mr. Crowley stated, crossing his arms and still looking angry.

"I will pay for all the damages if I have to!" Deuce continued.

Mr. Crowley shook his head as he said, "This is no normal chandelier. This is a magical chandelier that uses candles that will burn for eternity. It is a masterpiece made by a legendary maester of magical tools. It has been entrusted to the school since its very foundation…. Taking into consideration its historical value, it would cost no less than a Billion Madol. Can you pay for those damages?"

"A BI-BILLION MADOL?" both Deuce and Tsuki-nee stuttered in shock.

I could hear Hima-nee hiss in grimace.

I looked at the broken chandelier and just whistled, well since it is a magical item it's only natural it would be worth a lot.

"But teacher, can't you just fix it right up with magic?" Ace asked looking a bit hopeful that there may still be a solution.

"Magic is not all powerful." Mr. Crowley explained, " More importantly, what we call the heart of any magical tool, the magic crystal was shattered. No two magic crystals are the same." He looked at the broken furniture sighing and shaking again his head as he regretfully said, "This chandelier will never be lit again."

"How can that…." Ace sighed out.

"Crap… what am I doing… what am I going to tell my mom…." Whimpered Deuce.

I sighed, and looked at my sisters. Tsuki -nee looked more concerned about the welfare of the two boys rather than our own situation…. Then again that's how she is.

"Hang on…." Hima-nee stepped forward, "are you saying there isn't anything we can do to fix this?"

"Please Mr. Crowley…." Tsuki-nee also asked.

Mr. Crowley looked at both me and my sisters, he looked a bit sympathetic then his eyes widened and clapped his hands as he cried out, "…that's right! There is one way!" He looked at us excitedly as he continued, "There might be one way to fix the chandelier."

"Eh?!" We all exclaimed. The headmaster nodded as he said, "The magic crystal for this chandelier was mined in the Dwarf's Mine. If we have a magic crystal of the same kind as the original repairs might be possible."

"I would go find a magic crystal! Please allow me to go!" Declared Deuce who now looks more determined.

"However…." Mr. Crowley continued, "I have no guarantee that there are any left in the mine. The mine has been closed for a while, and it's very possible it's exhausted of crystals."

"But…" I said calmly, "if there is still a slim chance that there might be a few left…."

Both Hima-nee and Tsuki-nee nodded. Even Deuce, nodded at me. He looked again at the headmaster as he said, "I'll do anything to get the expulsion rescinded."

The headmaster looked at all of us as he sighed and said, "…. Fine…. I shall give you one night. Come to me with a magic crystal by tomorrow morning… or face expulsion."

"Yes! Thank you very much!" Deuce said.

"Got it!" Hima-nee said, both Tsuki-nee and I also nodded in agreement.

"Haaa…. I suppose." Ace said while scratching his head, "Let's go get that magic crystal and be done with it."

"Use the Gate in the Mirror Chamber to go directly to the Dwarf's Mine." Mr. Crowley said waving us off before disappearing.

"Yes, Sir!" Deuce said.

"Ha! What now…?" We looked at Grim who had just woke up from his unconscious state. "What exactly did I…."

"You might be happier staying unconscious Grim-chan!" I giggled.

The small feline blinked at me in confusion until….

ULTRA MEGA CHOP

"OOOOW!"

MIRROR CHAMBER

We all made our way towards the Mirror chamber. I hummed happily while the others looked a little tense. Grim was still nursing his big bump (which he got from Hima-nee) as we arrived.

"How can you be so damn calm about all this?" Ace asked me in disbelief, "Ahhh…. Why did it turn into something like this? Today is really not my day…." He jumped when Hima-nee glared at him angrily as she said, "you have no one to blame but yourself! So quit your whining!"

"Now isn't the time for arguing, Let's go" Deuce said. He then turned towards the magic mirror as he chanted, "Mirror, mirror on the wall. Light our way to Dwarf's Mine!"

The mirror started to ripple like waters and soon a light started to appear at the center, soon it grew and engulfed the entire room.

DWARF'S MINE: SILENT WOODS

I slowly opened my eyes and now could see we are no longer inside the campus but somewhere in a forest. We scanned around the area and could see a small cottage with a watermill next to it and a tiny bridge… I know we need to do our task seriously, but the place looks soo adorable.

"Where are we?" Hima-nee asked looking around the place. Tsuki-nee, who was still carrying Grim, came closer and said, "I think this is Dwarf's Mine."

Deuce looked around and added, "They say this used to be prosperous thanks to the magic crystal mining but…."

I get what Deuce is saying, despite it being cute the place itself does give off errie feeling. It didn't help that it's already nighttime.

"Uuuuhhh…. Feels like something could jump out…." Grim muttered shaking nervously.

Ace then turned and spotted the cottage that I saw earlier and said, "Oh, there's a house back there. Let's go and ask them about the mine."

KNOCK KNOCK

"Good evening?" Deuce greeted. The door was unlocked, and we all peered inside. The place looked like nobody has lived there for quite some time. The small furniture were covered with dusts and cobwebs.

"Well looks like this place has been abandoned," Hima-nee said.

"Good grief… what a mess" Deuce tsked as he slid one of his fingers on the surface of the table. He grimaced to see the dust.

"Pah! I got a spider web in the face… peh peh!" Grim spat out. He jumped off from Tsuki-nee's arms but unfortunately his face got caught on one of the spider webs during his landing.

"Aren't the tables and chairs on the small side?" Ace remarked looking down on the small furnitures, "Are they for kids?"

"Uuuuh… correct me if I'm wrong, but would it be because Dwarves used to live here…." Hima-nee said looking at Ace, "I mean aren't they actually rather small?"

"One… two… there's seven! So many!" exclaimed Ace.

"This was probably a lively home when Dwarf's Mine flourished." Deuce said looking around.

Ace nodded in agreement, "They did what they had to. After all, magic crystals are found inside coal. For now, let's go check it out."

Me and my sisters nodded in agreement and followed the boys out towards the mining shaft.

DWARF'S MINE: MINE ENTRANCE

"W-we're gonna go in that pitch black hole?!" Grim squeeked.

"Scared? Lame!" Ace taunted. Grim glared at him as he said, "Huh? I'm not s-scared at all!"

"It's all right to be scared, Grim!" Tsuki-nee said gently, "No one would think of you any less."

But Grim-chan just shook his head and took a leap towards the cave as he huffed out, "I'm the Great Grim am taking the lead! You guys follow me!" He then continued onwards.

We just sighed and followed the feline inside the dark caverns.

DWARF'S MINE: MINE INTERIOR

The inside was just as cool. Embedded on the walls you can see different types of Crystals, colorful rocks and gems.

"Whoa! This place is so awesome!" I breathed out.

"Yeah, got to admit, it does look interesting." Hima-nee agreed.

"I wonder what kind of minerals are they made of?" Tsuki-nee remarked looking around in fascination

"Sheesh…. You girls actually find this stuff interesting?" Ace yawned already looking bored.

Deuce stops and looks ahead. He then gestures for us to stop as well. "Wait!"

"What?" Ace asked

"Something…. Is there!" Deuce said pointing towards the shadows.

We all looked to where he is pointing at. Suddenly 2 Ghosts wearing grey hoodies suddenly floated in front of us.

"EEEEK!" yelp both Tsuki-nee and Grim.

"Heheheheh" one of the Ghosts laughed, "Our first guest in ten years!"

"Make yourselves comfortable. For Eternity!" The second Ghost moaned gleefully.

With a swish and a flair, the 2 ghost then disappeared.

"This place is haunted with Ghosts too!" Ace groaned.

"We don't have time to deal with them one by one…" Deuce remarked, "Let's go!"

Ace looked at the blue haired boy in annoyance as he said, "Don't think you can just order me around. If you hadn't done something so idiotic, we wouldn't be in this mess."

"Uuuuh boys…." Tsuki-nee nervously said. It already looks like a brawl might happen.

Deuce turned to face and glared at Ace as he snapped back, "You wanna talk about who started it? It's cause you couldn't clean!"

"ummm… please… stop…" Tsuki-nee said weakly trying to pacify the two. Both ignoring her as they continued on.

"It started when that furball burned the Queen of Heats' Statue!" Ace said angrily while pointing at Grim.

"Ffgnaaa! That's what you get for making a fool outta me!" Grim growled

"Guys… come on…." Tsuki-nee pleaded more. I just watched as the 3 are already at each other's faces. Those three are gonna get it…. Sigh 3…..

"ALL OF YOU! DO YOU UNDERSTAND OUR SITUATION NOW!" Deuce cried out angrily "We're all expelled if we don't get back with a magic crystal by tomorrow morning!"

"So stop patronizing me!" Ace said, "It's really ticking me off."

MEGA CHOP X 3

Yup… there she goes.

"OOOOOWWW!" Ace groaned in pain. All three ended up cradling their identical huge bump on their heads. Those 3 really should be more careful around Hima-nee (tee hee ^v^)

"Enough you knuckleheads!" Hima-nee said sternly, "You three are ALL at fault, and we were dragged along with it! So let's just hurry and find that crystal and go ho-" She suddenly stopped and looked on ahead. Her face looked more serious now.

"Nee-san?" Tsuki-nee asked. Hima-nee shushed us and whispered, "… I think I just heard something."

All of us now looked to where Hima-nee is looking at. Soon all of use start hearing a faint voice… it sounded like a gurgle or a deep moan…

"Wooon't…. give….. won't…."

The boys quickly jumped upward, all of us looking rather frightened.

"Wha- What's this voice?" Ace nervously asked.

"Stooone…. ooone…..this…. mine…."

"I think it's getting closer…" Deuce whispered.

Tsuki-nee quickly pulled me closer to her and Hima-nee stood protectively in front of us. Our eyes widened as a faceless Ink dripping monster suddenly appeared before us. It then roared, "STONE…. IS MINE!"

"EVERYONE RUN!" Hima-nee cried out.

We all quickly made a dash back towards the exit, but the giant is still chasing after us.

"What the heck is that thing?!" Deuce cried out looking over his shoulder as we were still running.

"FGNNAAAH!" Grim panicked, "Crowley didn't say anything about that! Let's get out of here!"

"It's soo nasty!" Ace grimaced also looking over his shoulder at the creature, "But didn't it mention a 'stone'!?"

"EH!?" We all gasped as we realized what Ace just said.

The monster continued ranting, "STONE…. WON'T…. GIVE….!"

We all stopped in our tracks and looked at the monster. Deuce then said, "So there really are magic crystals left!"

"Crap…" Hima-nee growled looking at the creature anxiously. "That's good to hear but it looks like we need to get past this brute to get one!"

Grim shook his head furiously as shakily said, "N-n-n-n-n-nope! Nope! I'm a genius but I can't beat that thing!"

"But we'll be expelled without it…I'm going!" Deuce said.

"You've gotta be kidding?!" Ace exclaimed.

"No Deuce…. Don't do it!" Tsuki-nee cried out, she grabbed on to Deuce's arm to stop him for going further.

"They're right, Deuce." Hima-nee said, "It's impossible by yourself!"

"I cannot, under any circumstances, be expelled!" Deuce said with determination. He quickly pulled himself away from Tsuki-nee's hold and rushed forward to fight the creature.

The monster quickly swatted Deuce aside. Ace then stepped forward with his pen-wand in hand saying, "Stand back if you have no control, Mr. Serious! I'll stop it! HAAA!" He quickly pointed his wand and a huge gust burst out and hit the monster… but….

"WWWWUOOOOHHH!"

Oh no… it looks really angry now!

It then swatted Ace aside as well. "Ace! Deuce!" Tsuki-nee cried out. The creature then saw us was coming closer. Both Tsuki-nee and I hugged each other while Hima-nee and Grim stood in front of us glaring at the monster.

"FGNAAA! STAY AWAY!" Grim cried out, he then blew a huge burst of Blue Flame. But like before it doesn't seem to have any effect on it! It growled angrily. Grim cried out, "I-it's not working at all!"

Hima-nee quickly lifted Grim and tossed him towards us, she then turned to face the monster as she growled, "Don't you come one step further!"

Ace and Deuce, recovered from the blow quickly ran towards us and stood beside Hima-nee.

The monster just stared at us… suddenly we saw something sparkling behind the creature.

"Hey…" I said, blinking owlishly, "did you guys see that? Something just sparkled."

"Behind that thing! At the end of the tunnel, something…." Ace said.

"That light…. Is it a magic crystal?!" Deuce asked.

But before we could say anything else the Monster roared even more, "GRRROOOOOWWWLL! WON'T GIVE!"

"L-le-lets get out of here!" Grim cried out, "We're done for at this rate!"

"Grim's right!" Hima-nee said, "We need to escape now!"

"But-" Deuce begun, Tsuki-nee quickly grabbed his hand to pull him away. All of us quickly ran towards to exit with the monster's growl still echoing.

HIMARI'S POV:

"Whew! Is this far enough?" Grim gasped. All of us were able to escape and now ended up back outside the forest. We all were sweating and shaking from what we had just encountered.

"Oooww…" Ace groaned as he had to check his bruised arm, "What in the world was that? No one said anything about that!"

"It didn't seem like any old ghost." Deuce said, he stopped and looked at me in confusion as I was glaring at his direction.

Why do you ask… because he is still holding Tsukiko's hand!

Both realizing that. Tsukiko and Deuce quickly let go, blushing and apologizing to each other…

"OH! I-I'M SO SORRY!" Deuce stammered.

"N-NO IM THE ONE THAT SHOULD APOLOGIZE!" Tsukiko replied blushing furiously.

And as usual, Hoshiko just giggled away at the scenario…. Sometimes these sisters of mine….

"Aaaahhh….Let's just give up and go home. I'd rather get expelled than fight that thing." Ace said.

I just sighed, I hate to admit it, but Ace does have a point. No crystal is worth putting my sister's lives in danger.

Deuce looked at Ace in shock and cried out angrily, "Wha!? Don't screw with me! I'd rather die than face expulsion! There's a magic crystal right in front of us and you wanna go home!"

Oh boy… here we go….

Ace smirked and snarkily said, "Ha! You talk big for someone worse at magic than me. Go alone if you want. I'm done."

Deuce eyes narrowed wider in anger he snapped back at Ace saying, "Oh, is that right? Then stay right there cowering like a spineless coward!"

"Huh? Coward? Who exactly are you talking about?" Ace retorted back.

"You guys…." Tsukiko pleaded out looking now more worried at the two.

"U-uh… Deuce, Did you switch up your character?" Grim said nervously.

Deuce then looks taken aback and quickly sputters, "Huh? A-Ahem! My bad. I lost my composure a bit."

Hoshiko sighed as she asked, "Can magic be of any help to us at all?"

Deuce looked at her as he replied, "Like the headmaster said earlier, magic isn't all powerful. If you can't imagine it then it won't materialize. Large scale or complicated magic requires a lot of training to use."

"But that's why we have schools for magic." Ace added, "You have to practice a lot to use magic just as it comes to mind. Basically, you'll screw up if you lose your cool."

"Uh-Huh…." Hoshiko said tilting her head a bit and looking at both boys with a blank look as she said, "but everybody has just been using it willy-nilly."

"You can use instinct for the stuff you're good at." Ace said.

"At any rate, I'm going in there. I'll figure out how to beat that thing and come back with a magic crystal." Deuce said.

"This guy…." I moaned inwardly shaking my head, "he really doesn't get it."

"No Deuce, it's not a good idea to just head back there, you need to think this through." Tsukiko said firmly.

"and… judging by the chandelier incident, you're a complete idiot." Ace remarked. "You couldn't land a single hit earlier but now you'll 'figure it out'? It's going to end the same."

I pinched the bridge of my nose to help me control my rising temper…. And Idiot # 1 is only making things worse.

Deuce grabbed Ace by the scruff of his shirt as he snapped, "Come Again?! You think of…"

"Here they go again…" Grim grumbled.

Tsukiko just looked not sure what to do anymore.

Hoshiko just watches on.

Ugh… at this rate…. Ok that's it.

I marched forward and grabbed both boys by their shirt collar before I yelled out…"WILL YOU TWO KNOCK IT OFF!" and with that I headbutted them to each other.

"FGNAAAH! Your sister is like a spartan!" Grim shuddered.

Both boys fall on the floor and looked up at me in shock. I glared back at them while my arms are crossed as I said sternly, "Now look here you two… neither of you could do anything back there. That creature is too tough for us to handle and dealing with it carelessly would be nothing more than suicide! So stop this stupid fight will you. It's not helping anyone right now!"

Deuce now looking more flabbergasted sputtered out, "Guh…B-B-But… what exactly should we do?"

I looked at them with a more serious face as I continued, "We have to come up with a proper strategy."

"Strategy?" Ace asked, "You mean get along and work together?" He looked at me and could see I wasn't joking, he sighed and said. "Ha! That's cold. You have no problem saying lame things with a serious face, huh?"

"Agreed. No way I'm working with this loser." Deuce added.

"But…." Hoshiko chirped in, "don't you think it's way more lame to get expelled on your first day of school?"

Both Deuce and Ace jolted at what my litter sister just said.

"Ah that's…" Ace mumbled…

"Tch" Deuce scoffed.

"Ace.. Deuce…. My sisters are right…" Tsukiko said stepping forward, and also looking serious. "I know you both don't wish to be expelled from the school…. But the only way you can achieve you goal is by setting aside your pride and ego, and for us to work together."

Both Deuce and Ace looked at all 4 of us before sighing and said, "Fine! We just have to get it done, right?" The both stood up now smiling saying, "So what's your plan?"

I smiled and said, "Ok, here's what we need to do first…."

"You…. Really think it'll go as planned?" Grim looked at me with a look of speculation. "I'm sca-no…. Just nervous." The cat monster said as he gulped loudly.

"It'll be fine Grim" I said reassuringly, "As long as we work together, we can achieve anything!"

Hoshiko picked Grim and smiled warmly saying, "are you ready Grim-chan?"

Grim looked at her and then at me before he said, "Fgnaah! Come on! Let's do this!"

Hoshiko and Grim stood by the entrance. Hoshiko and Grim then started calling out:

"Yaaa-hoooo… Mr. Inky Monsteeeer…. Where are youuuu?"

"Grrr… Hey Beasty! O-O-O-over here!"

Soon the giant monster emerged from the entrance… it may be faceless but you can already tell it looks really mad. "GRRRRRR….LEAAAVE!"

"GAH! IT'S COMING!" Grim cried out in panic. It was almost closing in on the pair before Tsukiko and I emerged on the other side and cried out:

"Over here, Beasty!"

"Here we are!"

The monster looked at us grumbling, "GRRRR!? THERE…. THIEVES… TOO…. WON'T GIVE…. MINE…. MINE!"

The beast suddenly swings a punch at us, but I quickly grabbed Tsukiko and jumped out of the way in the nick of time.

"GYAH! THAT PUNCH LOOKS LIKE A KNOCKOUT IF IT LANDS!" Grim panicked even more.

"Get as far from the tunnel as possible!" I instructed them. My sisters and Grim quickly nodded and ran to opposite directions all the while taunting and making sure the beast tries to chase us.

"GO AWAY! GO AWAAAY!" The beast growled. It looked even more annoyed as it was trying to decide who to chase first.

"It's pretty far from the tunnel now!" Grim said.

I nodded and cried out, "NOW!"

Ace then emerged from his hiding spot with his pen-wand in hand, "Ok I got this! Let's go, EXTRA LARGE TEMPEST!" A huge gust of wind emerges and hits the monster.

Grim then smirks and said, "And the Great Grim's Fire Special! FGNNAAAH!"

FWOOOOM

The Fire and Wind combo attack took the monster by surprise, as it gets caught up in it's attack.

"How's that!" Ace smirked, "I can even fan Grim's shoddy flame into an inferno!"

"It's not shoddy!" Grim said glaring at Ace angrily, "Ugh, every word our of your mouth pisses me off!"

"Yes! The monster's caught in the fire tornado!" Hoshiko said gleefully.

I smiled seeing as everyone is working well together, I turned to Deuce and silently said, "It's your turn Deuce, we're counting on you!"

The blue haired boy looks deep in concentration mumbling, "Calm down… take aim… the biggest, heaviest… thing I know….. COME FORTH, CAULDRON!"

A giant black cauldron then magically appears and falls on top of the Ink Monster holding it down.

"Hooray! We did it!" Hoshiko squeeled happily. She and Grim high-fived as the cat monster said, "Nice work everyone! Hey look… the monster looks as flat as a pancake, just like Ace did earlier!"

Ace huffed looking annoyed, "You don't need to bring that up again! Jeez, today just isn't my day."

"Ok guys!" I said, "let's hurry up and get that magic crystal while that thing can't move!"

"GUAAAHHH…. WAAAIIIITT!" The ink monter's voice growled out still struggling to free itself from the Cauldrons heavy weight.

Inside the mine, we searched around each rock and gems until we caught sight of one particular crystal that illuminated vibrant colors.

"There" Deuce cried out! "A magic crystal!"

Hoshiko who was closer, quickly plucked it off the mine's wall. She smiled and gave us a thumbs up.

"GRRRUUUUHHHH! HAAANDSSS OFFF!"

"Crap! That thing is almost free!" Ace said nervously!

"Hey, Deuce! Throw some stuff on it!" Grim cried out

"Uhhh…. Something heavy?!..." Deuce mumbled looking unsure what to do, he then waved his pen-wand and cried out, "C-Come forth! CAULDRON!"

Another black cauldron magically appears and lands directly at the monster.

"And um… ummmm! CAULDRON!?" Deuce continued.

CLANG

"ONE MORE CAULDRON!" Deuce cried out!

CLANG

"Do you have nothing but cauldrons in your repertoire!?" Ace asked in disbelief.

"Sh-shut up!" Deuce sputtered out looking bright red, "I'm at my wit's end here!"

"Okay guys!" I called out, "We've got the magic crystal! Let's get out of here!"

"Roger!" Ace nodded.

We all quickly ran past the still stuck ink monster. We can hear the creatures roar echoing through the forest, "THAT…. IS…. MIIIIIIINE!"

In one last effort the Monster gave a great roar and a force cause it to cast off all the heavy cauldrons.

"You're kidding!?" Ace cried out in disbelief, "It knocked off all the stuff and came after us!"

"UGHH…. GRRR…. GIVE…. IT….. BAAACKKK!" The monster growled.

This is not good! It might go after Hoshiko who was hiding the Crystal in her pocket.

"Ace! Deuce!" I called out, "Get Grim and my sisters far away from here! I'll distract it!"

"NEESAN NOO!" Tsukiko cried out horrified!

"IDIOT!" Ace yelled back angrily, "LIKE WE WOULD EVEN THINK OF LEAVING YOU BEHIND!? DIDN'T YOU SAY THAT AS LONG AS WE STICK TOGETHER, WE CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING!?"

"Ace…" I said in awe…. The red haired student took out it's pen-wand ready to fight, both Grim and Deuce also joined as well.

"AHHH… Let's finish it! Don't let me down, Mr. Serious!" Ace said.

"You too." Deuce said.

"I'll show off my true power!" Grim said.

With the combined efforts of all three they managed to do another combo attack this time it was a fire-tornado-cauldron, hitting the monster.

The beast, now seemed weaker falls down unconscious.

"All right!" I cried out in joy. Both Hoshiko and Tsukiko hugged each other laughing and cheering as they chanted, "Yeah, they did it!"

"Huff… huff"

"We… did it?" Ace panted out looking surprised.

"We won…" Grim said looking unsure at first before he cheered and cried out, "WE ACTUALLY WON!"

"HOORAY!" Deuce cheered happily.

"WE DID IT!" Ace gleefully said.

"Victory High five!" Grim called out raising it's paws in the air. Both boys then clapped the little monster cats paws looking even more proud.

"Way the go guys!" I said happily.

"You three were amazing!" Tsukiko cheered on.

"So…" Hoshiko chirped in a sing song voice, "is this the start of what you boys call 'BROMANCE'?"

All 3 jumped in horror and stood a few distance away from each other as they cried out:

"AH! N-NO! THIS IS NOTHING LIKE THAT AT ALL!" Deuce cried out embarrassed.

"Yeah yeah! Could you stop saying weird things, Hoshiko?" Ace said looking now annoyed.

"W-We won thanks to my genius." Grim huffed. "It's not because we pooled out strength~"

My sisters and I just laughed at their reaction. Boys can be so much fun to tease.

Soon the boys also joined in the laughter… but we were so engrossed in our little victory that we failed to notice the monster slowly regaining consciousness.

"LOOK OUT!" Grim cried out. It was too late, the creature then swung and knocked both boys and Grim down on the ground.

"GUYS!" I cried out. To my horror the creature then turned to my two sisters who were cornered by a massive tree. Both clinging onto each other looking petrified.

"GRUUUGGH…. GIVE… BACK….. IT'S…. MIIIINEEE"

"TSUKIKO! HOSHIKO!" I screamed running forward and shielding both my sisters steadying myself for the impact.

"FGNAAAH! WATCH OUT!" Grim cried out in panic.

And then….

"MAY THE POWER WITHIN YOU BRING FORTH THE LIGHT…"

NORMAL POV

Suddenly, the magic crystal began to immense a great glow which soon enveloped the three sisters.

Ace and Deuce slowly stirred awake only to witness a miraculous event.

"GRUUUGGGHHH… GRRR….. THE… LIGHHHTT!" The Ink monster recoiled from fright as the light surrounding the 3 grew even brighter.

Himari, Tsukiko, and Hoshiko looked down at the crystal in awe. The magical gem started to pulse out and all of a sudden 3 brooch type amulets emerged from within the 3 sisters. One shaped like the sun, one like the moon and finally one shaped like the star. All three amulets have a glistening gemstone embedded on it.

"FGNNAAHHH! WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" Grim cried out in awe. In all his life as a monster, he has never witnessed such strong magical force.

"Can this be…. Their magic?!" Deuce whispered looking just as dumbfounded as the other boy.

"That's…. amazing!" Ace gasped out in awe.

"GRUUUGHHH…. NOOOOO…. THE LIIIIGGGHT!" The ink monster, who seems to in great pain still tried to reach out to get the crystal, but the moment it's hand's touched the light, it starts to melt away.

The amulets then started to emit it's own bright glow and combined with that of the magic crystal soon grew and enveloped the entire forest.

Both boys and Grim quickly shielded their eyes from the bright light. All the while hearing the roaring agony of the Ink monster. And then silence….

Deuce, Ace and Grim slowly opened their eyes to see that the light, as well as the monster, has disappeared. The 3 girls were just standing and seem to be in a trance.

"Hey, are you girls all right?" Deuce cried out looking worried. They soon rushed towards the sisters.

"Hey… Himari…. You ok? Snap out of it!" Ace called out shaking Himari slightly. All three then started to blink and looked at the boys in confusion. "Wha…. Ace? What just?"

"That's what we like to ask you three!" Grim said. "What did you girls just do?!"

"Huh? What do you mean?" Hoshiko asked looking even more confused.

"A strange light suddenly emerged from within you three… and it somehow vanquished the monster." Deuce explained looking at them in amazement.

"Wait, wha?!" Himari exclaimed looking now shock. "I- I don't even know what just happened… I mean the last thing I remembered was trying to protect Tsukiko and Hoshiko and suddenly I heard a voice…."

"Sister you heard it too?" Tsukiko gasped. Himari looked at both her sisters in shock as she said, "Huh, so you both heard it as well?"

Tsukiko and Hoshiko both nodded.

"Well, whatever it was…" Ace said, "it was pretty awesome! I thought you girls didn't have any magic?"

"But we really don't" Tsukiko said looking a bit embarrassed. "I mean… we are just ordinary high school students…."

"Really, it does sound strange." Deuce said looking even more amazed.

"Hmm… hey what's that?" Grim exclaimed. All looked to see that now pinned to each girl's shirts were the 3 amulets.

"Whoa! What is this?!" Himari cried out.

"This looks soo pretty!" Squeeled Hoshiko in delight.

"Oh, wow…." Tsukiko breathed out in awe.

Grim leaned forward and took a whiff as he said, "whoa, you three smell different now… like it's different from how you usually smell."

"WHAT WAS THAT YOU LITTLE FURBALL?!" Himari snapped at the cat creature. "ARE YOU SAYING WE SMELL BAD!?"

Grim quickly scurried to hide behind Deuce's leg as he cried out, "FGNAAA! N-No…. I mean I can now smell a magical aura around you three… that's all!"

Himari just huffed and looked away in embarrassment. Hoshiko just giggled and Tsukiko simply smiled.

"Anyway…" Ace said, now looking a bit sheepish "I hate to admit it… but we actually won thanks to your plan, Himari."

"Hey guys…. This was a team effort, we won because WE worked together." Himari said smiling proudly.

"True," Deuce added, "but we got the magic crystal because you gave us level-headed instructions."

Himari just blushed embarrassed and looked away. Her two sisters smiled and laughed at their older sister's expression.

Deuce then sighed in relief as he said, "Thank goodness… we can prevent expulsion. I'm so relieved…."

"I'm just glad everyone's all right!" Tsukiko smiled warmly. Seeing that Deuce was the one now blushing at looking sideways.

"Yeah, yeah!" Ace said, "We're all relieved. And seriously worn out and battered. Let's just go home!"

"Uuugghhh…. I'm starving from using so much magic…" Grim groaned weakly. His ears perked up as he looked down and exclaimed, "Hmm… what's this now?"

All of them looked down at where the monster is glancing at. On the spot where the Ink monster used to be, was a black crystal-like stone.

"Remnants from that monster?" Deuce concluded. "A magic crystal? But I've never seen one pitch black like coal before."

Grim moves closer and starts to smell it. "SNIFF SNIFF…. This thing smells really good…."

"Seriously?!" Ace cried out.

"This has to be the candy the monster was hiding!" Grim gleefully said, "Oooh… I can't hold back! Time to dig in!"

Before anyone could say anything else, Grim swallowed the whole thing.

"HE ACTUALLY ATE IT?!" Tsukiko eeped.

"You little furball, don't just eat something off the ground!" Himari scolded at the little creature.

"GUH!"

"Hey, you alright?" Deuce asked looking worried.

"Oh boy…. That's why you don't eat things off the ground." Ace remarked.

"D-D-D-DELICIOUS!" Grim cried out.

"EH!?" The human group just gasped out in shock.

"It's full-bodied but also rich with an aromatic sweetness that blooms in my mouth…" Grim said in a delighted tone. "Like a whole field of flowers in my mouth!"

"BLEH! Monster's really do have different tastes from us." Ace said looking slightly disgusted.

"I guess so…" Deuce agreed, " but more than that….most people wouldn't put a mysterious object in their mouth without thinking."

Himari just grimaced at what the little cat monster just did.

Tsukiko laughed nervously.

"Well monsters will eat anything! " Hoshiko giggled.

"GAHAHAHAHA! Tasty, tasty!" Grim pranced around joyfully while singing. "Don't worry… my stomach isn't weak like yours."

"Whatever…." Himari huffed, "but don't come crying to us if you suddenly get a stomach ache!"

"Switching gears, let's get this magic crystal to the headmaster!"

"Right"

Hello everyone, I really hoped you liked this chapter! So it's almost finished with one more chapter… and to add delight to everyone.
