Angel found Kellie outside sitting on the roof top, near a ledge.
"Mind if I join you?" Angel asked.
"It's your hotel or whatever it is," Kellie shrugged.
"I'd rather you be okay with it," Angel said.
"It's fine," Kellie said, "I won't throw things or hold a knife or gun on you now."
"You did pull a gun on and shoot Spike," Angel said, sitting down cautiously next to Kellie, "Not that I blame you. He does have that effect on people."
"I can see that," Kellie said, "He does grow on you, not that I think you would admit that. He referred to you as a grandsire how ever that works, but you act more like brothers that don't get along on the surface."
"Nice try," Angel said, "Picking Spike to distract me from seeing how you're doing. Faith said your husband might be caught up in this too."
Kellie glared at Angel. Angel waited her wait.
"Yeah," Kellie said, quietly, "He passed out while we were on the phone. Had a red/yellow aura and his eyes changed color too."
Kellie looked away.
"It's not your fault," Angel said, "Even Spike and I thought we were just going into your standard vampire den, not a world-ending being resurrection ritual. If we couldn't be prepared for that, no one could expect you to be."
"You tried to warn me," Kellie said.
"Not like I really expected you to listen," Angel said.
"What was I thinking?" Kellie said.
"You can't beat yourself up over this," Angel said, "Wesley and Fred are really good at the research. Sounds like your guard's cousin has insight into this. We have a whole network of people we can reach out to for more information and resources. We'll figure it out."
"You don't sound entirely sure about that," Kellie replied.
"There's never certainty in this," Angel said, sullenly, "I wish I could assure you that definitely get you back to normal, but…."
"Considering most of your crew isn't human or entirely human," Kellie said, shaking her head, "Even if they started out that way."
"I wish I could disagree with that," Angel said, "I'm sorry you got mixed up in this chaos."
"Usually I'm the one apologizing for getting people involved in chaos," Kellie said, "Actually I probably owe you an apology for this and for the first time we met."
"The first time was pretty tame and not our usual clients," Angel said, "Aside from vampires feeding off your would-have been kidnappers dead bodies."
"Why did you let me believe everything about that was normal," Kellie asked, "That I hallucinated the vampires."
"Aside from you being traumatized to the point of being feral," Angel said, "One, you weren't ready for the truth…."
Angel paused.
"And second," Kellie prompted.
Angel hesitated, "You remember Lorne,"
"The psychic demon I thought was a horror movie actor," Kellie replied, "Hard to forget."
"When people sing, he can see their destiny," Angel said, "in your case, he didn't need you to sing, for whatever reason. Typically if we encounter someone like you that has some creep like Ethan chasing after them, we'd scare them with our vampire traits into leaving them alone. However, Lorne after reading your destiny said, we couldn't help you by any supernatural means."
"Why?" Kellie asked.
"Said you're destiny wasn't meant to get tangled with ours," Angel said, "He was adamant about that. Said that you getting involved with our kind would be pretty bad for you, maybe the world."
"How concerned do I need to be that I'm obviously tangled up in your world now?" Kellie asked.
"We need Lorne to read you," Angel said, "He's on his way over once he closes up his club. Just because you're tangled up in things now, doesn't necessarily mean the same warning applies now."
"Except now I'm apparently the key to bring back some old world deity and an apocalypse," Kellie replied, "I can't say I'd bet on that destiny changing."
Kellie stood up and moved as if she was fighting off exhaustion, Angel noticed.
"We should get you inside," Angel said, "You're about to crash. You still need sleep, maybe more so while your body adjusts."
"I want to be here when Tyler gets here," Kellie said.
"Kellie," Angel said, "We not going to be able to let you anywhere near him. If you two being near each other does anything like the crown does, we can't risk it."
Kellie glared at Angel.
"Please don't make us fight you over this," Angel said.
"Tyler's my husband," Kellie said, "I know I should, but I really want to see him for myself too. I hate to make a promise, I might struggle to keep."
Kellie walked off before Angel could say another word.
Outside Kellie & Tyler's House
Francis and Lorenzo had loaded Tyler into Lorenzo's vehicle.
"I don't feel right about this," Francis said, "Just you and no guards taking Tyler to this hotel."
"It's probably better this way," Lorenzo said, "I know it doesn't make sense but I need you to trust me."
Francis shocked his head.
"Fine," He said, "but you better call me if there's trouble."
"Just get the kids and Charles to the airport and the island," Lorenzo said.
Once Francis went back in the house, Lorenzo got in the car and drove off.
Once going down the road, Lorenzo had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting a hooded figure standing in the middle of the road.
He's barely stopped the car short of the figure. He stopped the catch his breathe and in a flash the figure moved next to the window and knocked on the window.
Lorenzo refused to open the door. The figure removed the hood revealing a young woman Lorenzo recognized.
"Mother," Lorenzo exclaimed annoyed as the woman punched the window and knocked Lorenzo out.
