Hours Later - Lobby
"Nightingale showing any sign of waking up yet?" Lorne asked.
"She's out cold still," Faith said.
"On one hand, we don't have to tell her that her husband and uncle are missing," Wesley said.
"On the other hand, we have no idea if her sleeping like this is facilitating the spell to bring back Lilith," Angel replied.
"On the upside, Wesley and Giles found the original texts detailing Lilith and Lucifier's banishment and the spells involved to bring them back," Cordelia said, "Teagan and Willow are brainstorming a spell to reverse Kellie's and Tyler's transformations."
"But we need to find Tyler," Angel said, "I assume we'll need both of them to do the spell."
"Any word from Johnny's tech wizard?" Lorne asked.
"He got a hit on a traffic camera," Faith said, "Kellie's uncle had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting someone in the middle of the road. That someone knocked Lorenzo out and dropped him and Tyler down into the nearest sewer tunnel. Car was abandoned. The tech guy is trying to identify the kidnapper right now."
"You and I should search the tunnels starting from where they would have entered," Angel said to Faith.
"Gunn and Spike are reviewing maps of the tunnels," Cordelia said, "They were trying to see if they could identify where they might have been taken. Narrow the search radius."
"We'll start searching the tunnels anyway," Angel said, "Have Spike and Gunn call us if they narrow down a location."
Before they could leave, they were interrupted by thuds and yelling. Angel and Faith took off running recognizing Ilyria and Kellie's voices.
"That wasn't upstairs," Faith said.
"In the basement where I think Ilyria hid the crown," Angel said.
"Great," Faith replied, sarcastically.
When they got to the basement, they found Kellie wearing the crown and holding Ilyria in a headlock. Kellie's head was down with Illyria's neck exposed.
"Kellie," Angel yelled causing Kellie to look up. He and Faith saw the vampire fangs that Kellie had acquired. Although the rest of her face didn't change like his or Spike's would have.
"You don't want to do this, Kellie," Faith said as she and Angel circled her, trying to figure out how to approach the situation.
"She's sleepwalking," Ilyria managed to say, "Or Lilith has her in a trance of some kind."
Kellie snarled in a way that told Angel that feeding off Illyria or anyone was more about needing to feed than intent to do harm.
Before Angel or Faith could do anything, Ilyria somehow managed swing around, gaining enough momentum to loosen Kellie's grip and flinging Kellie off her into Angel. The crown managed to be knocked off Kellie in the process.
Angel and Kellie scrambled to untangle themselves. Once they stood up, Kellie was no longer in whatever trance or daze she'd been in.
Kellie seemed confused attempting to take in her surroundings. Then she was startled at the fangs.
Kellie's eyes widened in panic and then she bolted before Angel could stop her.
Angel chased after her and when he saw Kellie about to run outside into the daylight, "Kellie, don't."
Kellie barreled out the doors into the sunlight.
"Gunn, Cordy," Angel yelled, "Someone that's not a vampire."
"What's going on Angel-Cakes?" Lorne asked.
"Kellie ran outside after acquiring fangs," Angel said, looking outside.
"Well, she's not burning up," Lorne said, "Sunlight is obviously not a problem for her."
"Can you convince her to come back inside," Angel asked, "Oh and she almost fed off Illyria."
"Great," Lorne said, sarcastically, heading outside.
Meanwhile, Kellie was overwhelmed by all the sights and sense of being on a semi-busy street.
"Long time no see, Nightingale," Lorne said, catching her attention.
Kellie startled and looked at Lorne, then froze.
"Let's put the fangs away and go catch up inside," Lorne said.
Kellie looked at Lorne unsure and then the environment got to her again.
"Please don't hurt me," Lorne muttered and then reached out to steer Kellie back to the hotel.
Seeing that Kellie just let him guide her, Lorne continued.
"It takes awhile to get used to the enhanced senses," Lorne said, making conversation,"I can see how all of the sudden having fangs would be shock."
Angel opened the door to the hotel to let Lorne and Kellie in.
Lorne saw that Angel looked like he was about ready to mildly scold Kellie for running off. Lorne shook his head.
"Nightingale, look at me," Lorne said, "Just breathe in and breathe out and repeat."
Kellie took several half hearted breathes with Lorne, but then the need to feed off blood took over and she lunged at Lorne. Angel caught the movement in time to grabbed Kellie from behind, wrapping his arms around her to somewhat immobilize her.
"No," Angel said as Kellie struggled.
"What's wrong with me?" Kellie managed to ask.
"You need to feed," Angel said, "You're almost as uncontrollable as a newly turned vampire. I have no idea if that's even a good idea especially since you seem to be inclined towards demon blood."
"Don't let me," Kellie said, "Throw me in that cage in the basement I saw if you have to."
"Won't be necessary," Spike said, approaching them, carrying a cup with a straw, "I got something to get you started right here."
"Spike," Angel said, "We can't just feed her blood."
"I already talked to Teagan and Wesley," Spike said, "They found enough information in the dusty books to determine that while demon blood would be preferable and likely to assist Lilith in coming back, human blood or animal blood will be fine and take the edge off."
"I don't want to drink blood," Kellie said.
"You may not want to Nightingale," Lorne said, "But you're going to need to drink blood both for your sake and all of ours."
"I'll hold out," Kellie said, "it still sounds kind of disgusting. No offense."
"Pistol, you'll need it to keep your strength up," Spike said, "For whatever comes next. As for drinking blood being disgusting, some vampires myself included prefer our blood mixed with human food. Me I'm partial to Weetabix. I got your bulldog to tell me you're partial to chocolate milkshakes and fries as a comfort food. Can't do anything about the fries yet, but we do have chocolate ice cream."
"So it's a blood shake," Lorne said.
"Please tell me it's at least animal blood," Kellie asked.
"Pig's blood," Spike said.
"Think of it as eating pork or ham," Lorne said.
Spike held the cup out to Kellie. Angel loosened his grip on Kellie when she reached out for this.
Kellie looked at the cup and hesitantly sipped at first. Then she gulped the rest down.
"Better?" Lorne asked.
"Some," Kellie said, her fangs retracting, "That tasted better than I would have expected. I don't want to like it."
"Well, you're going to need more than just that cup," Spike said, "Why don't you and I head to the kitchen? Has any one told her about the latest developments yet?"
"Kind of hard while she was vamping out and running outside, but not burning up, and wanting drink to Ilyria and Lorne's blood," Angel said.
"Where's Tyler?" Kellie asked, "He should be here by now shouldn't he?"
"That's what we need to talk you about," Lorne said, "Someone kidnapped him and your uncle as soon as they drove a few blocks from your house. Johnny has some techno wizard, Spinelli, pulling camera footages and trying to get a lead on them."
"What? Kellie replied, "Why didn't you wake me and let me know?"
"We tried," Angel said, "But you weren't going to be woken up for anything? Faith and I headed out to search the tunnels. Gunn and Spike have been looking the underground maps to see if they can pinpoint a likely location they can go."
Kellie was about to argue when Spike clasped Kellie's shoulder.
"Blood first, Pistol," Spike said, "Then you can unleash whatever you like on Peaches or this vampire that kidnapped your husband and uncle later."
