CHAPTER 01 : THE CRIMSON TYRANT PART 01
HIMARI'S POV:
(DREAM SEQUENCE)
Eh….
Am I dreaming?
I look around… I seem to be in some sort of garden… its strange, I never been here before and yet, it looks so familiar.
Wait… who are those guys? They look like a deck of cards… Huh? What are they doing?
"Hurry and paint the roses red!" One card guy said. His suit looks like that of the ace of clubs
"Hurry before the flowers wither!" chimed another card man also painting away and chanting.
"Hurry! Hurry! We have to paint them all red!" they continued to chant.
Paint… the roses?
Soon I see a small blond-haired girl in a blue dress walking towards them. She curiously asked, "Why do you have to paint the roses red?"
"Huh?!" Both Card men stopped and looked at her surprised.
The one that now I can see looks like the 2 of clubs responded, "Why do you ask? The truth is we made a mistake and grew white ones instead."
The ace of clubs then added, "The Queen loves red. If she sees white, she will have our heads!"
The little girl then walked towards another card man who was painting another rose bush.
She looked up and asked again, "Really?"
The old looking card (who seems to be the 3 of clubs) looked down at the little girl and replied, "That's right. Therefore, we are painting the roses red"
Like the little girl I continued to watch on… until the Sunstone that was pinned to my ribbon began to glow and soon a bright light filled my vision….
And then there was nothing…
(END OF DREAM SEQUENCE)

HIMARI'S POV:
RAMSHACKLE DORM – HIMARI'S ROOM
BAM BAM
I slowly opened my eyes at the sound. I groggily sat up and rubbed my eyes… man what a strange dream I had!
Soon I heard the banging sound again only this time even louder. Grim, who was curled up next to me, began to stir and soon woke up as well.
"Ummm… hmmm… hey Hima…." Grim groggily mumbled still looking half asleep and half annoyed. "Sounds like we have a light night visitor."
BAM BAM
"Ok… Ok… I'm coming," I grumbled getting off the bed and looking a bit pissed. Who the heck would visit us this late of night.
"Ugh! Is it the Ghosts again?" Grim muttered following me slowly, "They don't know when to quit."
"Nah," I yawned, "I don't think it's them."
"Hima-nee… did you hear it too?" I turned to see Tsukiko and Hoshiko also coming out of their respective rooms and looking just as tired as Me and Grim are.
"Yeah.." I said.
We soon headed downstairs towards the Foyer Lounge. The banging still continued.
"Hey! Who there?" I yelled out by the door, no way was I just letting someone in. Both my sisters just stood a few distance away from me. Grim being carried by Hoshiko.
"It's me… Ace. Let me in."
Huh?! What the fudge? Why is that idiot just suddenly coming here at this late of night?
I quickly unlocked the door and was about to give him a piece of my mind (and maybe my complimentary MEGA CHOP) when I gasped at what I saw.
"Ace?" Grim asked, "What are you doing this late… Gah! You have a collar?!"
Ace came inside looking really pissed. Around his neck was the same Black and Red heart shaped collar that was used on Grim before at the entrance ceremony.
"Oh my gosh? What happened to you?" Tsukiko gasped looking concerned.
Ace looked at us as he cried out angrily, "I'm never going back to Heartslabyul. Starting today, I'm joining your dorm!"
"EEEEEEEHHHHHH?!" We all cried out.

We moved towards the lounge area and just looked at Ace who was still looking really grumpy.
"Sooo…." I began seeing as no one else was talking, "care to explain that?" I asked nodding at his collar.
"Yeah Ace," Grim said, "that's the same collar that red-haired upperclassmen put on me during the entrance ceremony. Why do you have something like that on?"
"I… ate a tart!" Ace said.
"…"
"Say what now?" I said in disbelief
Ace nodded as he continued, "Yup, just that! I was hungry when I got back to the dorm, so I checked the fridge and there were tarts chilling inside. Three whole tarts! So….."

(FLASH BACK SCENE : HEARTSLABYUL DORM KITCHEN)
"Haaa…. I'm exchausted on day one." Ace sighed out as he entered the kitchen. Deuce has already went straight to his dorm room to rest. "And I missed out on dinner…. So hungry."
He walked towards to fridge and opened the door and peered inside muttering, "In the fridge we have…." He then perked up and gleefuly cried out, "Ah, tarts! These look good!" He takes out the plate of three tasty looking tarts as he said, "there's so much, nobody's gonna notice one piece missing. Thanks for the meal" He then takes one piece and tastes it, his eyes lit up as he said, "Wow! This is amazing!"
"Of course, it's delicious. Trey does not make tarts that are anything less than the best."
Ace nodded while still savoring the flavor he then added, "There's nothing better than this! Not even those sold in…." He stops and turns around, to his horror standing behind him was the Dorm Leader, Riddle Rosehearts. "Gah! Dorm Leader!?"
The said leader now looked pissed as he glared at Ace and sternly said, "You sure have some nerve putting your hands on things that belong to me. Laws of the Queen of Hearts number 89: 'ONE SHALL NOT EAT A TART WITHOUT THE QUEEN'S PERMISSION'." He then took one step closer as he continued, "Tart theft is an unforgivable crime!"
"OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!"
"GYAAAAAAHHH!"
(FLASH BACK ENDS)

HIMARI'S POV
"The end!" Ace said.
We all just stared at him completely dumbfounded.
The 3 of us just sighed with a slight shake of head while Grim just grumbled before saying, "You're both in the wrong."
Ace now looked offended then said, "Isn't stealing my magic for stealing a bit of tart going too far?! For a wizard, it's like having your arms and legs chained up." He stood up as he continued to justify himself, "And there were three whole tarts! There's no way he can eat them by himself! There's got to be a limit to how narrow minded you can be!"
I just rolled my eyes while saying in a deadpanned tone, "Mmmm…. Riiiight…."
Both my sisters also looked at Ace with the same expression as mine.
"What's with that lukewarm reaction!" Ace said looking now more annoyed as we don't seem to show a bit of sympathy towards him.
"Hmmm… Hey Ace-kun," Hoshiko chimed in, "could those tarts by chance be for some sort of party?"
"Yeah…" Grim said looking rather proud of himself, "I was thinking the same thing, those tarts could have been for someone's birthday or something. I'm too good at deductions!"
"Birthday?" Ace asked looking confused now.
"Well that could explain why he was angry." Tsukiko said.
Ace didn't seem to like our remarks, he sighed and said, "Ugh…. I totally thought you girls would say he was being tyrannical."
"Well…" Tsukiko said looking apologetic, "he was a bit extreme, but…."
"You still were wrong with eating someone's food without asking properly." I said shaking my head. Grim just nodded his head. I looked at Ace sternly as I continued, "Look, you should just go and apologize to the guy tom. I'm sure he'll forgive you if you're sincere about it."
"Grudges over food are the worst." Grim remarked. He suddenly widened his eyes as he cried out, "Ah! Wait a second, I never got my tuna can from the headmaster!"
Ace just sighed out looking rather defeated, "Fine, whatever. I just have to apologize, right?" He then looked at me as he continued, "… This is your idea, Himari, so you should come with me."
I also sighed out as I replied. "Yeesh… ok fine…."
Both Tsukiko and Hoshiko just smiled and nodded.
"So where should I sleep for tonight?" Ace asked looking around the room.
Grim huffed as he said, "You're seriously staying the night? All the rooms except ours are still a mess. Clean a room for yourself."
Ace frowned as he said, "Bleh! I'm not cleaning." He then turned to me and gave me a flirty smile as he said, "Himaaa… let me stay in your room. I'm slim so I won't take up a lot of space. 'Kay."
MEGA CHOP
"OW!"
"Don't think you can just waltz in our place and sleep wherever you like!" I said glaring at him, "Don't even think of asking my sisters also… You can sleep on the lounge sofa for tonight." I pointed at the one by the window.
Ace, still nursing his bruising noggin, just glared at me and grumbled, "Tsk. Stingy. That's fine, I guess. I'll go sleep all by my lonesome on the lounge sofa. Good night!" He gaped in shock as he saw all 4 of us already heading upstairs.
"Yeah good night." I said.
"Sleep tight Acey-kun!" Hoshiko said in a sing song voice
"Have a good rest, Ace." Tsukiko said.
"Good night!" Grim yawned.
"Geez! You girls are heartless!" Ace whined.
A few minutes later I came back down with a fresh blanket and pillow. I placed it next to Ace who looked surprised to see me, "Hima?" he asked.
"The dorm gets a bit cold at night so you might need this to keep warm" I shrugged. I was already halfway up when I heard Ace said warmly, "Thanks a lot, Hima."
I turned to look at Ace and gave a small smile as I said, "Get some sleep you idiot!"

THE NEXT DAY
(NORMAL P.O.V.)
BAM BAM
"Ugh,,, who comes pounding at the door this early…." Ace grumbled sleepily. The young red-head sat upright from his sleeping area scratching his head and giving a great big yawn. He then looks around in surprise as clouds of dusts start falling down. "GAH! This place is so rundown, dust comes falling at the smallest shake!" More pounding can be heard, "I hear you! I'm coming so stop hitting the door."
Ace quickly got off the sofa and headed towards the door. He then opened it to see Deuce with his arms crossed and looking at him in disappointment. "So, you did come here." The blue haired boy remarked.
"Ugh. Deuce…" Ace grumbled. He was the last person the red-head wanted to see early in the morning.
"I heard what happened from the other residents. You got collared after you stole the dorm leader's tart…" Deuce said shaking his head in a disappointed manner, "You are a complete idiot."
Ace scowled as he grunted out, "Shut up! I don't wanna that hear from you!" He then asked, "By the way, was he still mad?"
"Not really." Deuce said. "He looked a little irritated at some guys who were late for the morning roll call but… Three people met the same fate as you."
"He hasn't calmed down at all!" Ace cried out worriedly, "He's definitely pissed!"
"Well… anyway… I also can't believe you would just barged in here and disturbed the girls in the middle of the night." Deuce scolded.
"Oh… don't worry… it's fine really."
Both Ace and Deuce turned around and gasped. Standing in front of them were the three sisters in their brand-new uniform.
Himari was wearing almost the same male school uniform as the boys. The uniform consists of a white dress shirt covered by a light silver grey vest with gold linings and buttons. Underneath an opened black suit with gold accents. She was wearing matching dark pants with a brown belt and black shoes. A White and black striped ribbon on her lapel and her Sundrop brooch pinned in the middle.
Tsukiko's uniform suit was buttoned up and she was wearing a short sailor skirt with twin gold linings. She is also wearing an above knee high black socks with matching gold prints and black shoes with golden soles and clip decorated on it. Her Moonstone brooch pinned on her ribbon.
Hoshiko was wearing a silver grey sweater vest underneath the opened up dark suit and wearing shorter dark sweater skirt. She was also wearing black leg warmers and black sneakers with golden soles and laces. Her Starlight brooch pinned to her striped ribbon as well.
Both Ace and Deuce were mesmerized in awe, before Ace breathed out, "W-wow! You girls look amazing!"
"Y-yes you all look beautiful…. I mean… not that you girls weren't pretty before… but … well" Deuce stuttered out. Both him and Ace were blushing.
Hoshiko giggled and winked at the two as she chirped, "Aww… you boys are blushing how cute!"
"Sh-shut up, we're not!" Ace grumbled still red on the face.
Tsukiko also gave a light-hearted laugh and said, "It was actually a gift from the Headmaster. Last night when we got home…."

(FLASH BACK SCENE : RAMSHACKLE DORM LOUNGE AREA NIGHT BEFORE)
"Oh hello…" Tsukiko said. All four arrived back at the dorm after their little adventure at the Dwarf's Mine. Only to be greeted by the 3 Ghosts.
"Hee hee hee…. Good evening, Ladies. We heard from the Headmaster that you four are now officially students of Night Raven College… congratulations." One of the Ghosts cackled.
"FGNAAAH" Grim cried out, "Man that was fast!"
"The Headmaster summoned us and wanted to give this to the four of you…. A sort of congratulatory gift." The other Ghost said happily. He then gave the three girls a huge shopping bag with a gold and silver wrapping ribbon attached to it.
All four peered inside and they gasped in surprise.
"Whoah… are these really for us?" Himari cried out excitedly.
The three ghosts nodded, "Yup… the Headmaster said that since you four will be starting school tomorrow it will be best you have the proper attire to wear for that day. So Congratulations again."
"Oh wow! This is sooo cool!" Hoshiko squeeled excitedly.
(FLASH BACK ENDS)
"… and that's what happened." Tsukiko said.
"Man, who would've have thought the Headmaster being so generous…" Ace said looking amazed.
"I know right," Himari said excitedly, "It's also cool that he seems to know our preference in clothes." She said as she gestured down at her pants to her sleeves.
"It's really strange though, "Deuce said, looking at the three curiously, "He only met you three just a few days ago, but it's like he has already known you for a very long time."
"Maybe he's just pretty good at observing people." Hoshiko giggle giving herself a little twirl.
"Hmph…" Grim grumbled, "I don't see why you three get to have fancy uniforms while I don't. It's not fair."
"Hey, quit complaining," Himari scolded the feline monster. "You should be happy to actually be in the school."
"Besides Grim, " Tsukiko said gently, "The magic crystal around your neck is technically like a school uniform for you as well." Hoshiko nodded in agreement.
Grim looked at all of them before huffing out and smiling proudly saying, "Yeaahh… you're right… this collar means I'm officially a student of Night Raven College! Woo hoo!"
All of them just laughed while watching Grim doing a little dance.
All of a sudden a low grumble can be heard. All turned towards Ace who blushed and gave a nervous laugh… "Sorry… haven't eaten since last night…. Ya know…"
Tsukiko smiled and said. "Well you both are just in time, I already made breakfast, so let's eat."
Both boys face lit up saying, "Oh wow! A home cooked meal!"
"So that was what I was smelling while coming here."
Grim started to dash towards to kitchen saying, "Enough chit-chat and let's eat! We gotta head out soon for out first day!"
"Oh wow! Someone's eager!" Hoshiko giggled.
All Five of them laughed before following the feline towards the kitchen.

YES! Chapter one begins….
For those who are reading this in my DA or Wattpad, if you noticed. I'm adding little screenshots with my girls included, also there will be additional original scenes of the girls and their interaction with the NRC guys…. I'm excited at what more I can make from this story.
How do you like the story so far! I apologize if this is shorter compared to the previous chapters. But like I said, my schedule is full this April to July so I hope you will still enjoy them.
