CHAPTER 01 : THE CRIMSON TYRANT PART 11

HIMARI'S POV

HEARTSLABYUL DORM : ROSE MAZE

"What? This is?"

I slowly opened my eyes both Ace and I gasped as we saw sparkles of Rainbow colored Clovers, Daimonds, Spades, and Hearts floating around the area.

"Huh? We're alive? What are these Card suits?" Ace asked looking as well at the floating lights.

"The rose trees…" I hear Deuce said softly, "have all been turned into card suits. How?"

"Ace… Deuce… Your collars have disappeared also!" I gasped out.

Both boys reached out their necks and realized that the collars indeed has vanished.

"But who….?" Tsukiko asked.

"Riddle Stop this now!"

We all turned to see that it was Trey who saved us using his Unique Magic.

"Trey's 'DOODLE SUIT'!?" Cater gasped out looking really surprised, "Huh… What's going on…?"

"Of course!" Hoshiko chirped excitedly, "Trey-nii said that his magic can rewrite any object, form or type! He also was able to rewrite Riri's magic!"

Trey nodded as he said, "Hoshiko's correct, my 'DOODLE SUIT' can overwrite anything for a short period of time. So…. I overwrote Riddle's magic into my magic."

"Thanks a lot, sempai!" I cried out gratefully.

"You're kidding… That's possible?" Cater cried out, "It's a cheat!"

Riddle who didn't seem to understand whats happening kept waving his staff at us as he cried out, "Off with their heads! I have your heads! Why wont anything but card suits appear?!"

Trey came closer to Riddle and began to scold him saying, "Riddle, stop this. If you go any further you will lose everything! Look at everyone's faces!"

Riddle stopped and his eyes began to change from rage to sudden realization. He slowly looked around, all of us and the residents glaring at him.

"W-was he seriously going through with it…." A resident student asked shaking with fear.

"He went way too far…." Another student grumbled.

"A-A monster…." Another one whispered in fear.

I looked around and now back at Riddle…. He was a pompous ass jerk, but at that moment … he looked now scared and alone… I …. kinda felt bad for him.

He then said in a shaky voice, "Huh…? Trey overwrote my magic…? Does that mean your magic surpasses mine?"

Trey then took another step and said, "There's no way that's the case. Riddle, calm down a bit and let's talk this out." He then extended his hand to Riddle, but the red-haired dorm leader quickly swatted it away and glared at his vice dorm leader with a hateful glare.

"So… you want to tell me that I'm wrong too?" Riddle snarled out, I could see in his eyes aside from anger there seems to be a bit of feelings of betrayal in his voice and stare, "Even though we've been upholding these strict rules this whole time?"

He staggered backwards as he began to clench his chest unable to control his rage, "I've been enduring and enduring and enduring this whole time! I…. I… DON'T BELIEVE YOU!"

"Calm down!" I cried out as I tried to get closer to him, "Why can't you see that Trey sempai is just worried about you! Heck even we are as well…."

"SHUT UP!" Riddle yelled out looking at me with more rage and confusion, "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! WHY… WHAT IS IT ABOUT YOU? WHY DOES EVERY WORD YOU SPEW OUT AFFECTS ME SO!? TELL ME!"

I just stared at him in shock, not knowing what to say… his eyes…. They were in so much pain…

"Mr. Rosehearts, you musn't!" Mr. Crowley quickly ran and stood in front of me as if he was protecting me. "If you keep using magic, your magic crystal is going to be covered in 'Blot'!"

But Riddle didn't seem to care anymore. His face once again grew red, his eyes wide in absolute rage, and he then roared out to all of us, "I AM… I AM! ALWAYS, ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!"

"RIDDLE!" Trey cried out running to reach out for him.

But it was too late.

I already could see a dark ink surrounding Riddle, the last vision I could see, was his magical pen that was once bright ruby red, have now become an Inky dark black.

DRIP

DRIP

:3:3:3:3:3:3:3:3:3:3:3:3:3:3:3:3:3

We could only watch in horror as an ink like substance instantly covered Riddle. As quick as it appeared the ink melted away and we all gasped at his new transformation.

The color of his skin, lips and hair has change to a deeper shade of grey and bloody red. He was no longer wearing his dorm uniform but instead has changed to Black and red outfit, adorned with white roses that are tainted with ink. Black iron spikes are decorated as his cowl. His golden crown became dark and spiked. Black ink covering his hands and arms. A red flame appearing on his right eye.

"Oh globs…Riddle…. His aura is now completely black!" I muttered, I could see it a dark shadow appearing behind him. It began to change to that of a twisted ink monster version of the Queen of Hearts.

All of a sudden, Dark Riddle began to give an evil laugh, his voice has completely changed as well. "Hmmm… HAHAHAHAHA! Those foolish enough to disobey me, I have no need of them in my world. I am the law in my world. I am the rules! No other response than 'YES, QUEEN RIDDLE' is acceptable! It's off with the heads of anyone who disobeys me! AHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Ah, look at this mess!" I heard Crowley moan out, "A student has gone into overblot right in front of me!"

"WELL DUH!" I yelled out at him in annoyance, really someone goes in berserker mode and he acts so damn calm about it.

Grim was shaking in Hoshiko's arms and crying out, "What the heck is overblot?! That guy's got a wicked air to him now!"

Crowley looked at us with a serious expression and replied, "Overblot is a state that wizards must avoid at all costs. He's being caught up in a storm of negative energy that has made him lose control of his emotions and magic."

"I don't really get it!" Grim said.

"Me, neither." Deuce said.

"Ah, crap! In plain terms: he's fallen into a dark berserker state!" Cater stated looking rather frustrated.

"His life is in danger if he keeps using magic like this." Trey added.

"His life?!" Grim cried out in shock

"Oh no!" Tsukiko gasped.

My eyes widened at what Trey and Cater said. I looked at the berserked Dorm leader, feeling more angry and at the same time concerned for this guy.

I hear the headmaster said, "Right now the safety of other students is the top priority. I shall evacuate the other residents. Mr. Rosehearts must be brought back to his senses before he runs out of magic." He then continued, "Losing his life would be terrible, but worse than that…." He trailed off the last part, he then looked at all of us with a serious expression as he said. "Now I need you all to go get other dorm heads and teachers to assist…"

"AHHH! EAT THIS!"

All of us quickly turned to see Ace using his magic and attacked Riddle by sending a strong gust of wind at him.

"HUH?!" The headmaster, Trey, Cater, and my sisters all gasped out in shock. They got even more surprised when Deuce and Grim followed suit with their own magic.

"COME FORTH! CAULDRON!" Deuce chanted out and a huge black cauldron magically appeared on top of Riddle but was easily deflected due to the shadowy rose thorns surrounding him.

"FFFGGNNAAA!" Grim roared out blowing a great blue fireball.

Unfortunately it didn't have any effect on Riddle as well.

I could see that Riddle looked rather pissed (even though he was not hit), he growled out, "What are you fools doing?!"

Cater stuttered out in disbelief, "W-W-Whoa! What are you thinking?!"

"He's only in danger like this!" Grim said angrily.

Deuce nodded and replied, "I wont be able to sleep with him like this. And…"

"He still hasn't said, 'I WAS WRONG, I'M SO SORRY' yet!" Ace finished.

I stared at those three before I let out a small laugh. I slowly shook my heads but smirking at the same time. I stepped closer to the boys and I began to crack my knuckles as I said, "You guys may be idiots! But you all got moxie, and with that, I respect you! Count me in."

"Neesan!" I hear Tsukiko gasped.

"Hihihi, looks like the GOLDEN BEAST is about to rumble" I also hear Hoshiko added after giving a slight giggle.

Trey looked at us in disbelief, before changing into a more serious expression, "You all….. Got it! I can overwrite his magic with my doodle, even if it's not for long. Let's finish this quickly!" He then turned to Crowley and said, "Headmaster, please work on evacuating the residents."

"HOLD ON JUST A SECOND, ALL OF YOU! IT'S TOO DANGEROUS!" Crowley cried out in frustration.

"That's right," Cater said in disbelief, "What's gotten into you, Trey? You know you can't beat Riddle!"

"ZIP IT CARROT TOP!" I roared, both Cater and Crowley jumped in fright at my voice. "Riddle is crazy strong right now, we get it! But like the headmaster said, if we don't do something his life will be in danger!"

"Yeah…" Ace agreed, "only challenging guys you know you can beat, that's too lame!"

"That isn't cool at all!" Grim chimed in

"I can't think of anything else that can bring him back to his senses quickly." Deuce added.

"Yeah, I can't lose him." Trey said joining Ace and the others. "I… still have so much to tell him."

"Ok then!" I said cracking my knuckles again as I got ready to fight, "There's no going back! Let's work together to stop him!" I then turned again to Cater and said, "Cater, please take my sisters away from this place!"

"But neesan…" Tsukiko protested.

"No buts!" I said seriously! I then looked at Cater again and added, "I'm counting on you to keep them safe!

"Ahhh, crap! Understood. I'm not really cut out for this kind of thing!" Cater groaned as he quickly took both my sisters and started to move them away.

I then see the Headmaster looking at me with fury and … is there a bit of concern I see? He then said to me, "Ugh, fine…. As soon as I finish evacuating the other students I'll be back! Hold on until then!" I nodded silently and with that he hurried off.

"Come on ladies, we need to leave also," Cater said, while escorting my sisters out, but before they could reach the exit a huge shadow log crashed in front of them.

"TSUKIKO! HOSHIKO!" I cried out about to run to them when another thorn log lunged at me, I quickly leaped away in time and turned to glare back at the culprit, who was none other than Riddle.

He was glaring at all of us in rage as he muttered out, "This guy, that guy, you all have some nerve…. I'll take all your heads at once!"

I looked back and breathed out a sigh of relief as I saw my sisters and Cater was safe…. Cater held both of my sisters in a protective stance, he gave me a reassuring smile and a thumbs up, while I can see Tsukiko looking more worried for us.

"You ok?" Ace asked running closer to me. I stood up as I answered, "I'm fine…."

Trey looked at Riddle with more worry in his eyes, "Riddle's body cant keep this up. We have to stop him before it's too late…."

Me, Ace, Deuce and Grim nodded. The humongous shadow creature looming behind Riddle began to lash out more shadowy thorns at us. We quickly moved to avoid them. The boys and Grim began to cast out magical attacks at the overblot Dorm leader. I on the other hand aided them by blocking each attack with kicks and chops. Have to admit it hurts like heck but we need to get closer to Riddle.

However the moment we get closer, Riddle pushes us back with a magical force. If we didn't hang on to the grass and nearby rooted plants, we would have been blown away.

"Huff, huff… This guy… he's too strong…" Ace grumbled out.

"Yeah.." I mumbled, slowly standing up.

Trey looked at me and gasped when he saw bruises on my arms and face. "Himari…"

"Don't worry, sempai." I said giving him a reassuring smirk, "I'm ok!"

"Damn! At this rate our magic will run out as well…" Deuce panted out.

NORMAL POV

"Whoa boy… this looks really bad!" Cater said looking on at the battle with a worried expression.

"Neesan…. Everyone…." Tsukiko whispered clasping her hands together and silently praying for their safety.

"Don't worry… Hima-nee is really strong!" Hoshiko said in a serious manner. "I believe in them… they'll win!"

HIMARI'S POV

We could see Riddle standing and looking calm without any scratches on him. He smirked and began to taunt us, "What's the matter? I thought you pitiful lot were going to 'Stop me'?" He then gave a cruel laugh as he continued, "look at you all… this is what happens to all those who oppose me."

"Riddle…." Trey whispered.

"Psst… guys… listen I have a plan." I spoke in a low voice that only my companions can hear. "Grim and I will distract Riddle from a distance, once an opening is found Trey sempai will create an opening for Ace and Deuce to attack."

"It's too risky, Himari…." Trey said looking worried.

"It's worth a shot though" Ace whispered.

"Fgnaaah! Let's do it!" Grim said.

"Ok on the count of 3…. 1… 2… 3!"

With that we all separated into two groups.

"HEY DUMBASS!" I yelled out, catching Riddles attention as I rushed forward at him with Grim on my shoulders, "YOU THINK YOU'RE ALL THAT JUST BECAUSE YOU BECAME THIS OVERBLOT MONSTER?! HAH! TO ME YOU'RE STILL JUST A BABY WITH A HUGE SWEET TOOTH AND TOO PROUD TO ADMIT YOU'RE WRONG!"

It did it, Riddle eyes narrowed in rage as the shadowy ink monster behind him began to launch numerous thorny whips at us. I manage to avoid each blow and Grim using his flame magic to blow away the ones that are close to us helped as well.

I could see in other side the boys are rushing towards the distracted Riddle. Trey used his unique magic to transform some of the roses protecting Riddle to card suits. Then with combined effort, both Ace and Deuce conjured a huge fireball and shot it straight at Riddle.

BOOOM

"All right! They did it!" I heard Cater shout out.

"Nyahahaha! We got him!" Grim cheered on.

We stopped and watched as the smoke settled, but to our dismay, it only did little effect to Riddle who now looked at us with outmost fury.

"OFF WITH ALL YOUR HEAADS!" He roared out.

The giant shadow creature started another attack at us only this time faster. It soon hit Deuce, Ace and even Trey down.

"GUYS!" I cried out.

"TREY!" I hear Cater gasped.

"NEESAN, GRIM LOOK OUT!"

It only took that second of distraction for me not to see a thorned whip collide to me and Grim. I gasped in pain as both me and the feline monster dropped to the pain.

"HIMA NEE!" "NEESAN!"

I groggily opened my eyes, my ears ringing, despite the noise I could hear my sisters slightly calling out to me. My body ached, it felt like an elephant stomped on my body. I looked around and saw Grim lying a little bit away from me. Before I could stand up, I felt my whole body being ensnared by one of the rose thorns. I was lifted up in the air. I could feel the coil tightening a bit more. I tried to struggle to break free but to no avail.

I look down to see Riddle who was smiling evilly and enjoying my state.

"RIDDLE STOP!" I hear Trey calling out.

"YOU BASTARD! LET HER GO!" I looked to see Ace trying to stand up looking at Riddle with rage.

I could see both my sisters calling out to me. Tsukiko's eyes tearing up and Hoshiko, who was always cheery now is looking just as scared as Tsukiko. Cater looks at me in concern but had to keep my sisters from coming towards me.

I was then lowered a bit until I was face to face with Riddle who then caressed my face while saying haughtily, "Well my dear, aren't you in quite a bind. But it doesn't have to be like this… all you have to do is say 'YES, QUEEN RIDDLE!'. Obey me and I will spare you and the other fools."

I glared at him silently ready to give him a good head butt or a spit on the face… but then I hear a faint voice whispering in the back of my mind:

"Please….."

That voice…. It sounded like…

"Please, help me…."

I widened and realized I am hearing was….

"Please…. Help me…. Himari."

It was Riddle's voice!

I looked at Riddle who still waiting for my answer… when I didn't reply he angrily grabbed my chin and drew me closer as he shouted, "SAY THOSE WORDS! DO YOU STILL WISH TO DEFY ME!?"

I calmly looked at him and spoke out in the same calm but serious tone, "No…. because I know deep down this isn't what you really want, Riddle."

His eyes widened in shock before he moved a few steps away from me, his clutched his heart as if he is in extreme pain. He then screamed out before pointing his staff at me and roared out, "FINE! ALL WHO DEFY ME WILL LOSE THEIR HEAD!"

"HIMARI!" Ace cried out.

The shadowy rose thorn that I am tied in began to change its form to a more inky and ooze like substance that began to cover me.

I gasped out in fear trying to break free. Grim, Ace, and Deuce once again charged at Riddle to save me, but Riddle was not the type to fall into the same trick twice, used his magic to blow the trio away. Even Trey, who could not use his DOODLE SUIT magic in time was knocked down by Riddle.

My vision began to grow darker and darker. The black ooze soon enveloped me… I felt cold… and I couldn't breath….. is this ? Will I die here? Heh… how pitiful, I guess magic and fist fights are way different, I really screwed up! Mom… Dad…. I'm sorry… I wasn't strong enough to protect you… now I won't be able to protect my sisters and my friends…..

I'm…. sorry…

I looked one last time at my sisters who were calling out to me crying and trying to reach out to me, then everything went dark.

HIMARI'S POV

"Don't give up! Please!"

Who's that? Who's calling out to me?

"Hear him… he's calling out for you… he needs your help…."

That voice, she sounds to familiar…. It feels my heart with warmth and yet with sadness… who is that?

"You can do it…. Save him… My brave warrior of the light!"

Himari is floating in within a vast and empty space. Darkness and Emptiness surrounding her. Suddenly, her Sundrop began to shimmer and soon began to glow. Soon the light envelops the darkness.

NORMAL POV

Ace and the others watch in horror as the massive ink blot enveloped Himari.

Tsukiko and Hoshiko cried out in horror, while Cater who still held on to the girls closed his eyes in dismay.

Deuce and Grim just looked on silence and disbelief at what they have witnessed.

"No…. Riddle, you didn't…." Trey said as he looked horrified at what Riddle has done to the girl.

Riddle just watched the dark cocoon his eyes now cold and devoid of emotions as he finally said, "This is what happens for all who do not obey the rules…. Such a foolish girl indeed."

With those words, something within Ace snapped as he gave a roar of anger before making a mad dash towards Riddle his magic pen in his hand ready to strike.

"ACE, NO STOP!" Deuce cried out in shock. He quickly ran to stop him.

Suddenly something happened, that made both boys stop. The shadowy cocoon began to move and soon cracks began to form and bits and bits of light rays began to shoot out.

"What?!" Overblot Riddle gasped out.

"Tsuki-nee?! What's happening?" Hoshiko asked looking at her sister. Before she could answer both the Moonstone and the Starlight began to react, both gemstones pulsated and began to glow.

"Uuuhhh… what's happening?" Cater asked looking scene in disbelief.

Tsukiko and Hoshiko then gasped as they looked again at the shadowed cocoon as it broke free, all blinded for a moment in an explosion of great light. Both Riddle and the Overblot began to cry out in pain.

Soon the light disappeared and silence. Afterwards Tsukiko gasped out in a low whisper, "N-Neesan?!"

Everyone gaped in awe as standing before them and basking in an etherial light was Himari, no longer wearing her uniform, but dressed in a golden armor.

"Hima?!" Ace cried out.

"Wh-What happened to her?" Deuce cried out.

"FGNAA! She transformed!" Grim cried out.

"OH MY GOSH! HIMA-NEE LOOKS SOO COOL!" Hoshiko cried out in amazement, her eyes began to sparkle.

"Oh wow!" Cater cried out in disbelief.

"Himari…" Trey whispered looking at the girl in shock.

Riddle also looked surprise, he then growled out, "You?! How were you able to break free? I thought you didn't have any magic within you?"

Himari who seemed to be in a trance blinked and realize she was free from her shadowed bind. She then looked down and saw herself and realized she was dressed differently. "Whoa!" She breathed out. She then looked at everyone and finally at Riddle. The golden-haired girl now looked at the overblot dorm leader with determination in her eyes and declares, "Hey, Riddle! I get it now…. Don't worry… I'm going to save you!"

Riddle looked surprised for a moment before angrily scoffs out, "Hah! Do you actually think you can stop me? Even if your magic has just woken up, your skills level that to a new born infant!" With that the overblot monster behind Riddle began to strike again, only this time, Himari quickly evaded it easily.

"Whoa! Is it just me or has she gotten faster!?" Deuce cried out.

"Yes… but she cant just keep dodging her attacks." Trey said, he can already see that despite how it looks, Riddle is slowly getting worse.

"GO HIMA!" Ace cried out, "KICK HIS ASS!"

Himari continues to dodge every attack, but like Trey, she can also see that Riddle needs to be stopped soon or it will be too late. "Damn…. I need to get one good hit out of him, but how?"

It was then her sundrop began to pulsate, and soon the same soft whisper echoed within her mind.

"Brave warrior of the Sun, heed these words. Focus within and incite the magic words…."

Leaping back to a safe distance, Himari then closed her eyes to a deep breath, and Raising one hand up the sky she cries out:

"LIGHT UP THE SKY!"

In a flash 7 flames appeared and surrounded the girl. Each flame with a different color that of the Rainbow.

"OH MY GOSH! LOOK I THINK THAT'S HIMA-NEE'S UNIQUE MAGIC!" Hoshiko squeeled excitedly.

Riddle not seeming fazed began to attack again shouting, "AS IF THOSE MEASELY FLAMES CAN DO ANYTHING TO ME!"

The sky blue flame that was near Himari, then zoomed towards the giant thorny whip and upon touch, immediately froze up the shadow.

"WHAT?!" Riddle cried out in shock.

"No freaking way!" Cater exclaimed in disbelief, "That flame just practically froze Riddle's attack?!"

Himari then wasted no time her hands reached out at the red colored flame and it instantly morphed into a sword like form. She then made a mad dash towards Riddle, who now used both his shadows and flame attacks towards the girl. She quickly slashed each shadow and her green colored flame moved around like a rubber ball and absorbed each of the flame attacks of Riddle.

"OH WOW! SHE'S TOTALLY BAD-ASS!" Grim cried excitedly.

Riddle began to grow more and more frantic as he could see the Akari girl getting closer and closer, no matter how hard many attacks he threw at the girl.

"N-No…" He stuttered

can it be….

"….Stay back!" He said

Is he….

"STAY AWAAAAY!" He shouted

Is Riddle afraid?

With a flick of her hand the red flame sword vanished and in it's place a Golden Yellow flame appeared. Himari grabbed it and she was then right in front of Riddle, she then grabbed him by the collar and with a clear voice she shouted, "TIME TO WAKE UP, YOUR MAJESTY!"

She then slammed the flame in Riddles chest, and the flame grew and grew until it enveloped both of them.

"NEESAAANN!"

"RIDDLEEE!"

So here is the latest chapter of my story. It took a while but like I mentioned I will be busy this coming months due to work. So I do appreciate your patience. Also apologies if my battle scene is not that good, I illustrate it better than writing it, but I'll do my best to get better at it.

I also hope you like the armor of Himari, this is based from Alice in Wonderland armor. I originally wanted to use the Alice theme for the transformation song but I think the HOLY QUINTET from Mahou shoujo Madoka was better.

So coming up next will be the big challenge which is Riddles backstory, but I'll be doing an animated version of it. It might take me 2 weeks or so to upload it but I will do my best to make sure it is worth the wait. By the way the Ber months is here, and in a few months it will be HOSHIKO'S Birthday. So I will also need to prepare for that. Oh by the way… I am still working on the FANCOMIC of TWST SMS. I will upload it before the end of the year.
