MIRROR CHAMBER
"He's late once again…Honestly what could be taking the headmaster so long?" Riddle grumbled as he looked at his pocket watch. All 6 of the Dorm leaders have gathered together waiting for the arrival of the masked principal.
"Yaawn…. I could have enjoyed a nice nap, instead I'm waiting for that guy… what a pain." Leona drawled lazily.
Soon the doors opened and the Headmaster arrived. To the 6 dorm leaders surprise, Himari Akari followed suit.
"Gentlemen good day." Crowley greeted them, "Before we begin, I would like to make an announcement. As you all are aware. Miss Himari and her two sisters have enrolled as students in our fine establishment along with the monster, Grim. Furthermore, they have taken residency in Ramshackle Dorm, therefore it has been decided that Night Raven College will recognize the dorm as part of our school. Allow me to introduce their dorm leader, Ms. Himari Akari."
The room was in total silence as all the Dorm leaders looked at the headmaster and Himari in shock. In order to break the ice Crowley gave a small cough as if it to signal, Himari. She took a step forward and gave a humble bow as she said, "I'm Himari Akari, Dorm Leader for Ramshackle." She then straightened herself and gave a cheery smile and wave, "Nice to meet you all!"
Riddle face gave a warm smile as he saw her, while Kalim grinned and rushed forward to her. He then grasped her hands and gave a hearty shaky while crying out, "OH WOW! IT'S SO NICE TO FINALLY GET A CHANCE TO MEET ONE OF YOU!" He then continued, not letting go of her hands, "My name is Kalim Al-Asim, I'm the head of Scarabia."
Himari, who was a bit surprised by the cheerful boy's greeting, just gave a nervous laugh and said "Well I'm glad to meet you Kalim."
Riddle then stepped between them as he said to Kalim, "Kalim don't be too foreward. A gentlemen must always greet a lady with a respectful distance." He then turned to Himari as he said, "As Dorm leader of Heartslabyul, allow me to introduce to you to the other dorm leaders."
He then gestured towards the other members starting with the one with glasses. "This is Azul Ashengrotto, the head of Octavinelle Dorm." Azul walked closer to them and gave a gentleman bow as he added, "My dear, it is such an honor to see you again. I believe the last time we met was when you showcased your impressive performance to stop that monster." He reached out and tried to kiss her hand, but Himari quickly snatched her hand away and gave an annoyed laugh as she greeted, "Ah hehehe…. Its cool…. thanks." The gesture kinda annoyed Azul but he quickly regained his composure and moved away a bit.
Riddle then continued, "The one talking via tablet is the dorm leader of Ignihyde, Idia Shroud." Himari walked closer to the floating tablet, the voice then gave a small eep and hovered away from her. Himari blinked before giving a slight shrug.
Riddle then gestured towards Vil and said, "This is Vil Schoenheit, the head of Pomefiore Dorm." Himari looked at the blond-haired man and gave him a friendly wave saying, "Hey there, Vil-Senpai!" Vil suddenly tsked in annoyance and said, "Honestly, what kind of a lady would introduce herself in such a boorish manner?" He then crossed his arms as he scanned her from head to toe, saying in a snooty tone, "Not to mention, why are you even dressed in a male's uniform, and your posture… it is no wonder people will mistake you for a boy. If you ask me, the one with the long blue hair has more lady-like attributes than you."
Himari had to muster all her self-control not to punch the arrogant guy in the face. She took a deep breath and then crossed her arms as she gave an arrogant smirk saying, "Oooh… so you're the head of that dorm that cares only about beauty and such…. Must be nice having something to show off to to make up for what you lack on the inside, which probably are brains and manliness. Tell me Vil do you also rank as Number 1 in being such a prissy wuss"
Vil looked already livid, behind him Leona began to snicker. Before things could escalate, Riddle then gestured towards Leona and said, "This is Leona Kingscholar, the dorm head of Savanaclaw." Himari just stared at him waiting what he had to say. The said lion just yawned and said in a bored tone, "Can we just get on with the meeting?" Himari blinked in surprise but then shrugged then walked towards one of the pillars and leaned her back on it.
Crowley just sighed and slightly shook his head as he said, "Very well, let our meeting about the October Inter-Dorm Magical Shift Tournament commence. First, Octavinelle Dorm's Mr. Ashengrotto has an announcement as the manager for the tournament."
All dorm leaders then turned to look at Azul who cleared his throat and said, "I'm Azul Ashengrotto, the tournament manager. Thank you for your time. To begin, for the installation of food stalls around the coliseum venue…. All slots for both external enterprises and internal club activities have been filled."
"Oh! very nice!" Kalim said enthusiastically, "It's going to be super lively."
Azul nodded and continued, "Royal guests from every country have all been sent their invitations. General attendance tickets are also selling well. And applications from TV stations and newspapers are coming in like they do every year."
"Wow… so Magift is really such an important event huh?" Himari whistled out in amazement.
Kalim nodded and said, "This tournament is a big deal world-wide. I got super excited for my invitation every year before I came here." He then cheerfully looked at Leona and continued, "Since you're royalty you would've gotten one too, right, Leona? Maybe we passed by each other when we were little."
"Who knows… I don't care." Leona grumbled.
"Wow, rude much aint ya?" Himari thought as she glared at the Lion Student.
"I have to make sure my foundation is in perfect form for the ultra vision." Vil said, he then sighed out and said, "Sigh… Physical activity means I have to spend that much more time fixing it."
"Geh… seriously?! Uuuh hello… it's a sports event, shouldn't you be more worried about your physical performance rather than your hair or makeup?!" Himari thought as she looked at the head of Pomefiore in disbelief.
As if Riddle has read Himari's mind the red-head sighed out, "Huh… Pomefiore is the only dorm to take timeouts to fix their makeup."
"How can you all be so proactive about being in front of a bunch of people?" Idia's voice stuttered out through the floating tablet. "Just thinking about it makes me wanna vomit."
"I can see why we never see much students from Ignihyde, if their dorm leader's like that, I have no doubt the other residence must be total introverts." Himari thoughts continued as she just gave a small laugh.
Azul gave another cough as he seemed annoyed that he was being interrupted. "Ahem! Everyone, quiet please."
"Hahahaha, sorry about that." Kalim chuckled apologetically.
The head of Octavinelle slightly shook his head and continued, "As soon as every dorm has decided on their player line up, please make sure to submit all the paperwork. If the paperwork is late by even a day…"
"You'll be disqualified correct?" Riddle finished Azul's sentence.
"No." Azul answered with a more charming smile (which Himari finds more suspicious.). "I will accept a special processing fee. An express delivery fee, if you will."
"Wow… how generous of you." Himari said in a sarcastic tone. "With that kind of alternative, I'm pretty sure the students will be forced to submit their paperworks on time."
Riddle nodded, "I will have to agree with, Himari. Making a rule for exceptions like that is in bad form."
"Hahahaha! I'm grateful for it though!" Kalim laughed out.
"We're getting very off track." Crowley said, "As for the tournament bracket…. I'd like to share an idea."
"Idea?" Riddle asked.
"Starting from this tournament, I'd like the dorm head of Diasomnia, Malleus Draconia, to be inducted into the hall of fame at this time." Crowley announced.
"Huh?" Kalim gasped out in surprise. All the other dorm heads looked just as surprised. Himari just blinked and looked around at her fellow schoolmates, her thoughts wander to, "Malleus Draconia? Isn't he the guy that Cater and Trey said was one of the best wizards in the entire school?" The golden-haired girl looked around and noticed the others didn't seem all too happy about it.
"What's the meaning of this?" Leona demanded angrily.
"Since Mr. Draconia entered this school, all dorms that have played against Diasomnia have been crushed without scoring a single point." Crowley began to explain, "Diasomnia scored over 100 points, more than 90% of which were by him."
"That's amazing!" Himari whispered in amazement. "Now I am curious what that Guy is like!" She thought.
"True," sighed out Kalim in dismay, "When we played them last year we couldn't make a single move."
"He's an aparalleled cheat character that completely destroys the games balance." Idia's voice groaned out.
Crowley looked at the group in a more serious tone and said, "This tournament isn't for mere pleasure. In order to discover the next generation of talent the world pays attention. Regardless of that…. No matter who their opponent is, any match against Diasomnia is over before even their own players can strut their stuff. This is an extraordinary exception."
"Ah, I get it." Idia's voice said in a sad tone. "I wither after seeing this development over and over."
Crowley nodded and went on saying, "To the dorm with many members aiming to join a magical shift pro league, Savanaclaw. Savanaclaw is a dorm with a history of victories and has never once been below the top three. Even still…" He looked at Leona who was still looking rather pissed, " You have lost to Diasomnia Dorm in the opening match of the past two tournaments. This wont leave a strong impression on any scout. And it won't allow for anyone to become a pro."
Himari winced and looked at Leona feeling sorry for the Lion Student. "Ouch… harsh aren't you headmaster? Poor guy, if Savanaclaw are like the jocks of the school then this must definitely be a low blow for them."
Leona growled out as he said, "So you're saying that we're just going to get owned again this year?"
"I'm not saying it because it pleases me." Crowley sighed out, "Anyway, I have already received Mr. Draconia's consent on the matter. All that is left is your approval as dorm heads." He looked at Himari as he added, "that includes you as well, Ms. Akari."
All the boys turned to look at Himari, who felt a bit awkward at the situation. She scratched the back of her head as she sighed out, "Sheesh quit looking at me like that. I guess whatever you guys decide I'll trust with your choice and go along with it." "Besides, I don't even know the guy or the dorm that much so it's going to be pretty hard to make a fair judgement."
Leona who still looked irritated scoffed out and said, "Ha, you've underestimated us, teach. The thing I hate most in this world is being told 'YOU WILL NEVER BE NUMBER ONE'."
"That's not what I'm saying…" Crowley reasoned out.
"Then what are you saying?" Leona asked glaring hard at the masked headmaster. He then smirked as he said, "First, in Magift, it's not about throwing around physical strength. It's about using your head."
Kalim shook his head and sighed out, "I don't think I could beat Malleus in a battle of wits either."
"Hmph," Leona huffed out arrogantly, "For you, sure. But not me. Sure, no one is ever going to beat him in a battle of brawn, but brains should be different."
"Well, it does seem to make sense." Himari remarked, "You sure sound confident that you can beat him in in the brains department, huh?"
Leona stared at Himari as he said, "The King of Beasts took his place as king through hard work and wisdom. Put that thing between your ears to work. Come up with a way to beat that monster." He then smirked as he added, "I bet the whole world would admire whichever team did that." He looked around and said, "Are you all really going to pass up a once in a lifetime opportunity?"
Vil then smirked and said, "Even you say smart things sometimes." He then looked at the Headmaster and said, "I also think your idea is nonsense, Headmaster. Excluding those with talent. Isn't that just your unconscious bias showing?" He then frowned and said, "I hate things like that."
"I agree with Vil on this." Riddle said stepping forward a bit. "Also, as a wizard, I have no intentions of throwing in the towel before the battle has even begun."
"I want the whole world to see that aloof bastard's face contort in frustration." Leona continued while giving off a rather haughty smirk, "Just thinking about it, I could start humming. Y'know?"
Himari looked silently at Leona, "From the way he is talking, he probably has more grudge against Malleus than anyone of the Dorm leaders. That doesn't look good." She thought.
"Fufufu, Imagine how high the ratings would be." Azul said looking rather amused.
Kalim nodded and said, "Mhm mhm. We shouldn't exclude others."
"E-Eh?! What's happening here?" Idia's voice stammered out in surprise. "Am I the only one who thinks letting him in the hall of fame is fine?"
Once again all Male dorm leaders looked at Himari who calmly sighed and leaned back again at the pillar with her arms crossed. "Like I said, if that is what you guys decided on, then I will go along with it for now."
Leona, feeling satisfied with Himari's answer looks at Crowley and said, "There you have it teach. We won't be letting Malleus in the hall of fame."
"My goodness…" Crowley sighed out "Fine, understood. However, if the same situation occurs this year, he will be entered into the hall of fame next year."
"Do whatever you want." Leona scoffed out.
Azul then adjusted his glasses as he said, "That brings us to the end of today's meeting. Everyone, please don't forget to turn in your paperwork. I myself don't mind if you forget though… fufufuf" He slyly looked at Himari when said that last part.
Himari groaned at the idea that she will have to do paperwork, but then something came into her mind. She looked around before raising her hand and said, "Ummm… by the way… you guys have been talking about Malleus a lot. So if today is supposed to be a meeting for ALL Dorm leaders, shouldn't he be here also?"
"….." All the dorm heads and Crowley looked at Himari before crying out out in realization.
"Oh dear…. It seems we have forgotten to tell Malleus about it again." Vil sighed out in frustration pinching the bridge of his nose.
"HUUH?! YOU GUYS SERIOUSLY FORGOT?!" Himari cried out in disbelief.

(STAIRWAYS)
"It's almost time to decide who's playing in the magical shift tournament, huh."
Somewhere on the stairways of the school, 2 residence of Heartslabyul dorm are chatting while walking down the stairs.
"Have you thought of any spells to appeal to the dorm head?" Asked the student with black hair.
"Of course I did!" Replied another student who had brown hair. He grinned eagerly as he continued, "I showed it to Mr. Crewel earlier and got his approval. I'm excited to show it too….AH WHOOAAHH!" Suddenly his body began to jump up and down, soo he lost balance and came tumbling down hard.
"Ow… crap it hurts!" The brown haired student groaned out in pain.
His friend quickly ran down to aid him as he cried out, "H-Hey! Why are you jumping around on the stairs all of a sudden?" He tried to help his friend up but the latter collapsed and looked at one of his leg as he winced out, "My leg… it hurts….!"
"WHAT?!" His friend gasped out, "Let's get you to the infirmary!" With that he carefully helped his friend up. The injured student had to lean on to his friend like a crutch as they quickly head to the infirmary.
At the top floor of the stairways a lone figure secretly watched the two. His lips curled into a mischievous smile and laughed "Shi shi shi…"

So hello everyone. Hope you enjoyed the brand new chapter. Apologies if it was shorter this time. So I hope I did justice with Himari's interaction with the other Dorm leaders. It was fun to do this scene. I am excited also when Himari will meet you know who hihihi.
