The Duality of Cain('s actions)

"My Lord Liberator, the Omnissiah has blessed us this day!" (Commissar) Cain plastered a smile as he pretended to understand what the mad Borg before him was screeching. "We have found a STC which contains marvellous legacies not seen since Mars was first colonized."

Before the madman could continue his ramblings, Cain calmly held a hand up. "Excellent, I trust you know how to harness these blessings for the betterment of our people."

"My Liberator." The CyBorg stilled. "These relics are built for war, I must protest."

Sighing, Cain gathered his hands in preparation of another lecture. "I know that these venerable machine spirits have been built for war. But they deserve better. These holy machines deserve the chance to peacefully retire, just like anyone else in the protectorate."

The mechanical monstrosity nodded slowly. "Of course, wise one, how foolish of me. I shall not neglect the spiritual health of my charges. Thank you for another enlightening." Bowing, it (Cain didn't know its gender) humbly left. As the former Magos' stomped away, Cain allowed himself to smile properly. He had once again, successfully, sabotaged the armed forces of the USA.

Inquisitor Xanthanor Ligma from the Holy Order of The God-Emperors Holy Inquisition (Hereticus)

My fellow colleagues, and those criminals illegally reading this, I have started a report on the new horrors build by the tech-heretek's at the Black-Commissars orders. While the official, or as official as heretics can get, records state that these are the product of a newly discovered STC is of course ridiculous. There are some, heretics, who may believe this. In, limited, defence of these reprobates. I must refer to their effectiveness, see attached notes on operation "The Liberator's Paper desk," as underestimating these dangerous abominations will likely lead to further loss in material and critical manpower.

Sky-Kite. - The Sky-Kite is, according to the heretics, a byproduct of ancient Terran 'drones.' Upon inquire to the Adeptus Mechanicus I was able to learn that a 'drone' is an archaic word for shackled AI. If, and may the God-Emperor not let it be, this has any inkling of truth. Then it may only be a matter of time before we see Men-Of-Iron march towards the Solar System. I needn't express the severity of this. -The Sky-Kite possesses many different forms, though my contacts within the Mechanicus assures me that they all share the same internal components. I have been informed that it's shape does not matter, as long as it has a mass of at least a adult human's leg. Before any engagement against the Black Commissar, I propose that we ensure prudence and thoroughly search for these misshapen creatures. - The Priesthood of Mars, though we sometimes disagree, are the primary experts of all things technology. According to the members I worked with all AI have a primordial, and jealous, hate of the perfect species (Humanity). Nowhere is this seen more clearly than in the Sky-Kite's relentless search for prey. It is equipped with superb eye-sight. Able to see, and find, humans regardless of terrain, weather, or condition, the Sky-Kite is unmatched in the art of tracking. Some rumours even state that they can see through objects, though it hasn't been proven. - There Are also rumours that the Sky-Kite can somehow 'hear' the Vox-communications of loyalist forces. I have made sure to repent those spreading these obvious lies. - The Heretics claim to use these malicious machines in what they call 'search-and-rescue'. Apparently, they use these priceless weapons to search for menials who have been lost in disaster. I propose that they do so, at least partially. It is well known that the Ruinous Powers require human victims for the gifts they provide. Those can be hard for the Disgraced Commissar to acquire with his propaganda. 'Rescuing' during 'natural' disaster will allow him to collect the sacrifices needed, while retaining the adoration of the menials.
The Kitten. – The Kitten is, according to the protectorate, the civilian equivalent of the ancient Terran Leopard 6A8. My Martian colleagues have assured me that no vehicle known as the 'Leopard' has ever been used in recorded history, so this is likely made to attract the radical members of the Mechanicus with promises of ancient tech. -The Kitten looks like a lightweight Tank with a removed turret. Its armour is laughable against the anti-armour weaponry we can employ. Its true strength lies in its mobility. My as-of-yet unnamed Martian has suggested that the Kitten is based on either the Rhino or Chimera chassis. He observes that the vehicle is able to traverse rough terrain at stunning speed, in some instances even outmanoeuvring the hover-vehicles of the filthy Tau-Xenos. Furthermore, it has incorporated several high-grade vox' to seemingly communicate with nearby elements. - The protectorate claims to use them in the sparsely populated regions of their worlds, using these peculiar vehicles to boost the vox-capacity of these less-developed areas. Several Astartes involved in the humiliating assault (and really, what standard does Ordo Arstartes even keep these days?) swear on the Emperor that these infernal things were prowling them, relaying positions with the rest of heretical command while always escaping the righteous fury of the Emperor's (worst) finest. - I suggest that any operation against the Cainite forces should incorporate high-speed units equipped with anti-armour. While these support vehicles are annoying, they are unusually lightly armed.
