Since author did not object to my request to allow me to describe the Sanguia System, I submit to your court the first part of my work, which I hope can become a canon (albeit with possible changes from author).
Voices of Freedom:
Part One: Price of Balance.
Subsector: Torredon
System: Sanguia
Number of planets: 6
Inhabited Planets: 3
Additional Space Objects: Asteroid Belt encircling the system between the 5th and 6th planets.
General Information: Sanguia System is a standard small system rediscovered during the Great Crusade. It was found, mapped, received its share of Imperial bureaucrats and was safely left alone like so many others. System has 6 planets, 3 of which are inhabited and one of the remaining planets is used as a mining colony due to its mineral wealth, but due to bad weather conditions is unsuitable for normal life. Remaining two planets are completely uninhabitable, not only for normal life, but for any kind of habitation. One of them is too close to the system's sun and is subject to regular waves of flames that burn everything but rock into ash, and the other is so far from the sun that it is literally covered in a layer of ice.
Secret Information (available to a limited number of people) : Hidden in the Asteroid belt is smuggler's transfer station, operating with the Governor's permission and providing him with not-so-legal services at a discount for that permission.
System: Sanguia
Planet: Hive World "Bastion"
General Information: Hive World "Bastion", is the third planet of the Sanguia system. A distinctive feature of the planet is the huge number of smelters and factories that continuously operate due to minerals supplied from the second planet of the system "Deep Throat", which is an active mining colony. Deep interaction with the Feudal World "Camelot" greatly influenced the military forces of "Bastion". Although the self-defense forces are still based on ordinary men and women, all officers come from military dynasties with a long history and a strict code of honor. By closely monitoring each other, military dynasties of "Bastion" ensure that all officers have the best combat and command training and follow the immutable Code of Honor common to all dynasties. "Bastion" is also known in the surrounding systems as the world of officials due to the huge staff of the planetary Administration. Although it may seem to an outsider that the work of the Administration is going badly because of the bloated staff, in fact, special dynasties of Officials monitor the work of the entire "mechanism". A perfectly calibrated and calculated number of employees guarantees fast and reliable work at all levels. Dynasties of Officials actively compete with each other, trying to organize the perfect work of their department, because on the annual report for the governor, dynasty that provided the best performance from its wards receives valuable preferences. A special team of inspectors from the governor's most loyal people ensures that competition is completely honest, anyone caught sabotaging will be severely punished himself and will bring his entire dynasty under punishment. Remaining planetary dynasties of nobles are engaged either in the field of trade, selling goods produced at numerous factories on the planet, or entertainment, organizing leisure and holidays for other nobles.
Mengsk dynasty has been the governors of this world for many generations. All governors of this dynasty are characterized as noble and pious people who sincerely care about the population of the planet. Inhabitants of the hive world are actively involved in mining work, despite the poor living conditions, the government of the planet pays generously (by the standards of the underhive inhabitants) luring young and active men and women who, having signed a contract for work, could greatly provide for their families by "sacrificing" their health in hard work. Governors made an agreement with the small planetary enclave of Adeptus Mechanicus a long time ago so that population could work in the smelters and factories. Details about contents of their contract are not known, but thanks to them, Mechanicus moved a little away from their restrictions, allowing residents to do simple mechanical work. Thus, there are practically no unemployed people on the "Bastion".
Concerned about pirate activity in the system, one of the previous governors provided not only "Bastion", but also other inhabited worlds of the system with anti-space protection. Albeit slightly outdated, but sound defense installations reliably cover all the worlds of the system from pirate raids. Mengsk dynasty actively cooperates with the local church in identifying and destroying Chaos cults, thereby ensuring "purity" and safety for the entire population. In his concern for the inhabitants of the underhive, one of the former governors ordered formation of Guilds of Rat Catchers, Cleaners and Artists who take care of the population in different ways.
Rat catchers are brave men and women who explore all, even the deepest levels of the underhive, and hunt not only rats but also other parasites, find problems and breakdowns in the systems of underhive, as well as detect presence of mutants of animal or plant origin and point Cleaners at them.
Cleaners are squads of volunteers dressed in airtight armor and armed with flamethrowers who are engaged in the destruction of mutants, unnatural vegetation and large concentrations of parasites that single Rat Catchers cannot cope with.
Artists are engaged in entertaining the population by arranging musical concerts, theatrical and circus performances, as well as organizing planetary and national holidays in underhive. In general, "Bastion" can be called an exemplary planet and Mengsk dynasty can be called exemplary governors.
Secret Information (available to a limited number of people) : Cults of 3 of the 4 gods of Chaos (Khorne, Tzeench, Slaanesh) operate on the planet. Mengsk dynasty, tired of fighting with cults that appear all the time like mushrooms after the rain, decided to try an unusual solution to their problem. Long and painstaking work of the dynasty, stretched over many generations, led to a complex system of counterweights, allowing the planet to carefully balance between the influence of 3 cults and the church of the Emperor (although the latter do not know about it). Knowing the futility of trying to control cults, Mengsk were able to carefully limit their influence by organizing their soft confrontation with each other, actively fighting Nurgle's attempts to spread his influence on the planet, as well as the threat from the church.
Cultists of "Lords of Secrets and Forbidden Knowledge" work among the Administration on the planet.
They actively participate in the annual competition of officials trying to prove their intellectual superiority to each other. Young and strong wizards of Tzeentch work in the Guild of Rat Catchers, traveling in the depths of the underhive accompanied by flocks of mutated giant rats which they control with witchcraft music (no one knows who and when dug up the ancient story of Pied Piper of Hamel, but the neophytes were completely delighted with it). There they hone their witchcraft skills by hunting wild mutants and small gangs.
Cultists of "Lord of Skulls" are firmly established in the ranks of the planetary army. Fascinated by the professional skills of the military dynasties, they came to a lasting symbiosis. They were able to find a kind of pleasure in strictly following the Code of Honor, believing that this way their battles become more difficult and therefore more worthy. Concept of "cold rage", which allows you to keep a clear mind despite constantly being in a state of rage, has become an object of worship among berserkers. New neophytes, still unable to fully control their urges to violence, join the ranks of Cleaners. There they can learn to control their rage by destroying various mutants and large gangs in close combat and then clearing the traces of the carnage with fire.
Cultists of "Lords of All Pleasures" work in the field of entertainment, organizing banquets, planetary and national holidays, musical concerts and theatrical performances for nobility. Considering that many events are attended by representatives of Emperor's church, cultists spend all their free time on self-improvement in order to better hide their nature and skillfully "weave" the signs of their Lord into all their events so that no one could notice them even if they knew what to look for. For them, this was a challenge to their sense of beauty and skills. Young neophytes learn how to work with people, secrecy and the art of bringing pleasure by working in the Guild of Artists and entertaining ordinary inhabitants of the planet.
Mengsk Dynasty, for many generations after achieving this delicate balance between Chaos and the Light of the Emperor, continues to make great efforts to preserve it, sacrificing huge funds as well as the lives and health of the dynasty members for the prosperity of their world..
P.S. There should be another small piece of text with a first-person view, but I just don't have the strength, so I'm sorry, I'll write it separately a little later.
