I do not own Pokémon at all. Also, the idea is not original per se. A YouTuber's video gave me ideas. I also talked to said YouTuber personally and he helped out. His name is EliteMJ, go look him up on YouTube, his videos are very well-made.
The Day had come, the Day Aaron Ketchum would get his Pokémon Trainer License and become an official Pokémon Trainer. Rei sat on his bed with a smile on her face. Aaron was getting ready cause unlike his dad, he woke up on time. May walked into her son's room and asked if he was ready to go. Aaron looked at her and said, "I am, mom. Ready Rei?"
"PICHU!" She said with enthusiasm. Aaron smiled and put Rei on his shoulder and they nodded their heads. But they were also agreeing to keep what they saw secret from Their Parents as it made no sense what they saw the other night. Aaron pulled on his Gloves and put his hat on his head before walking out of his room. May smiled at her son and hugged him. Ash patted his back and said, "Let's get you registered." Aaron nodded his head as Little Delia stayed behind to help her grandma.
Outside of Pallet Town, Daisy Oak was driving herself and Franklin to her Grandfather's Lab, or should we say her Brother's Lab now that he was the Oak in charge of it. Franklin had Oddish on his lap and he smiled as Daisy asked her son, "Ready for this? It's a big day for you. You and Your cousin Daphne." Franklin rolled his eyes when she said that. Daisy looked at him and said, "You two will be traveling together so please do get along with each other." Franklin sighed and said, "Her fear of Bug Types will be an issue, Mom."
"I know you don't like Bug types, but you have to pass through the woods at some point," Gary said to his daughter at the breakfast table. Daphne sighed as her Eevee looked up at her. Misty looked at her daughter and said, "Just try not to think about it too hard." Daphne nodded her head and continued eating breakfast before Gary said, "Your cousin Franklin will be getting his today too. Along with a Certain Boy whose dad I traveled with back."
"Aaron's getting his Starter too?!" Daphne said as she stood up, she had known Aaron since they were kids and were close friends. Misty giggled and looked at her before she said, "Yes, Aaron's getting his too. Don't sound too surprised." Daphne shook her head and said that since he was the son of the great Pokémon Master Ash the rule didn't apply to him. Misty shook her head and told her daughter, "No Ash made sure Aaron didn't get special Privileges being the son of the man who led the Gym Leaders, Champions, Elite 4, and other good trainers in the war against… against the evil teams."
"Right…" Daphne said as she saw her mom looking at the Pokéball of a friend she lost in the war. She then got herself ready to go on her Pokémon Journey. In Pallet Town, Aaron, Rei, and their parents arrived at the Oak Ranch where Aaron ran to his dad's and Mom's Pokémon to play with them one last time before he went on his Pokémon Journey. Rei stayed with her parents as she was just born and was nervous about the Other Pokémon her parents traveled alongside.
"Rei seems to be nervous," May said as she looked at her. Ash nodded his head and said, "Well she was just born so it makes sense." May nodded as Glaceon licked her daughter's forehead to clean her. Aaron saw his dad's Meganium lying near a pond where Torterra sat and provided shade for Ash's Kingler who lost his bigger claw. Aaron petted all of his dad's Pokémon when a voice called for him.
"Aaron, Daphne, and Franklin are coming soon so it's time to get your license." Shouted Old Samuel Oak. Aaron nodded his head and said, "Coming Mr. Oak!" After that he stood up and walked to the pokémon Lab. Getting in, He saw his parents and joined them. Rei hopped onto his shoulder as Aaron had Pikachu on his lap.
That was when the door opened and the Ketchum family saw Gary Oak, Misty, and their Daughter Daphne walk in with Gary's sister Daisy and his nephew Franklin Stone. Daphne saw Aaron and waved at him, who waved back. Then her father, Gary Oak had his family sit down as he pulled out three pieces of paper for Aaron, Daphne, and Franklin to fill out. Ash looked at Gary and said, "Since Aaron already has his Pichu and Daphne has her Eevee, am I safe to assume that you won't be giving them starter Pokémon?"
"I figured to give them all a Starter anyway. Besides, Franklin also has an Oddish. They all have a Pokémon anyway but I still should give them a starter. I had three prepared anyway. So why not?" Ash looked at Misty and saw her nod her head. Daisy agreed with her brother as the old Professor Oak said, "The idea was all Gary's. The new system requires that the starter Pokémon new trainers get has to be one of the starters for the Kanto Region."
"I see," Ash said as he crossed his arms. Aaron looked at his dad and said, "It's ok Dad. besides, I would still consider Rei here as my starter Pokemon." Rei smiled and hugged her trainer before Gary brought out three Pokéballs. He then said, "Here are the starters of Kanto. First up, we have the seed Pokémon Bulbasaur." Gary then sent out Bulbasaur before grabbing the next Pokéball and said, "Next is Charmander, the Lizard Pokémon."
When Charmander came out of his Pokéball, Aaron already picked him up as Franklin did with Bulbasaur while Gary called out the Tiny Turtle Pokémon, Squirtle. Squirtle looked around, Saw Daphne, and ran to her, the Pokémon then hopped onto her lap and nuzzled his little blue head against her. Daphne recognized the squirrel as it was one she helped raise. She held the cute Pokémon on her lap as Franklin kelt in front of Bulbasaur, he asked if it wanted to join his team, and it hesitantly put its head on his hand.
"Well, that leaves you and Charmander, Aaron. This Charmander is a male the offspring of your Dad's Charizard and Liza's Charizard." Gary said to Aaron. He looked at Charmander and smiled. Kneeling, Aaron held up a fist and said, "Let's make both our dads proud on this Journey, what do you say?" Charmander looked at him and saw the fire in his eyes before he stood up and put his fist to Aaron's.
Ash smiled as Aaron picked up Charmander and took Charmander's Pokéball. Rei then introduced herself to Charmander as May asked, "Did you wanna nickname your Charmander?" Aaron looked at his mom as Gary said, "They're all males so if you name him, make it sound manly." Aaron chuckled before looking at his Charmander and smirked before saying, "Charles the Charmander." He then looked at his dad, who smiled at his son and ruffled his hair. That was when Misty asked her daughter and nephew if they wanted to nickname their Pokémon too.
"I never saw the need for nicknames," Daphne said to her Squirtle and it cheered. Franklin looked at his Bulbasaur and said, "Bob. that's all I got." The Bulbasaur shook its head and that made Gary say, "Maybe that's not a good nickname. How about Henry?" Franklin looked at Bulbasaur before he said, "Well… I think I'll just stick with Bulbasaur Uncle Gary." Gary nodded his head before handing the three each a Pokédex. Aaron scanned Charles and Rei and his Pokédex said, "Charmander and Pichu have been registered in your Pokédex. He then went over their Pokédex Entries.
"Charmander, the Lizard Pokémon. A pure Fire type, The flame on its tail shows the strength of its life-force. If Charmander is weak, the flame also burns weakly. This Charmander is a Male and knows Dragon Tail, Growl, Scratch." Said Aaron's Pokédex. It then reads Rei's Dex Entry. It said, "Pichu, the Tiny Mouse Pokémon, a pure Electric type, it is unskilled at storing electric power. Any kind of shock causes it to discharge energy spontaneously. This Pichu is a Female and knows Thunder Shock, Tail Whip, and Iron Tail." Franklin and Daphne scanned their own Pokémon and registered them as well.
"Ok, now that you have your Pokémon and Dexs', here are your spare Pokéballs," Gary said as he handed them each some Pokéballs. Aaron took him and looked at Charles and Rei. He smiled at his two Pokémon before putting them back on his shoulders. Then he looked at the Cousins and said, "Wanna have a Little Sparring match?" Both Franklin and Daphne smiled and nodded their heads. Ash stood up and said, "We have a battlefield at the house, you can use that for it."
At the Ketchum household, Aaron stood to the side as he watched Franklin and Daphne battle each other with their new Pokémon. Franklin told his Bulbasaur to use Tackle as Daphne told Squirtle to dodge and use Tackle himself. The Squirtle dodged Bulbasaur and struck it in its side. Bulbasaur then used Tackle close range and got a hit. Bulbasaur slid backward as Squirtle charged in for another Tackle. Bulbasaur was told to dodge and he did, followed by two vines coming out of its bulb and hitting Squirtle. Bulbasaur had just learned Vine Whip.
"ALRIGHT BULBASAUR!" Shouted Franklin, making his Bulbasaur feel proud. Daphne checked on Squirtle who sat up. She asked if he was ok, and Squirtle got onto his feet before nodding his head. Daphne smiled and said, "Good. The Vine Whip he just learned is going to be tricky to get around. Keep your guard up." Squirtle nodded his head as Daphne shouted for it to use Tackle again. Franklin ordered his Bulbasaur to wait for Squirtle to get close enough and Bulbasaur obeyed.
Once Squirtle was close enough, Franklin shouted, "NOW! VINE WHIP!" making Daphne shout, "LOOK OUT Squirtle!" but it was too little, too late. Franklin's Bulbasaur used his vines and struck Squirtle, ending the battle. Daphne checked on Squirtle and when she saw he was sad, she told him that he fought hard. Franklin rubbed Bulbasaur's head as he said to Squirtle, "Yeah Squirtle you did good." That made Squirtle happy as Daphne switched spots with Aaron and Rei took to the battlefield.
"Alright Bulbasaur, This Charmander is the son of Champion Ketchum's Charizard, we need to be extra careful," Franklin told Bulbasaur who nodded his head. Aaron smiled as he saw his dad and Charles's dad nod their heads. Aaron nodded back and looked at Charles, he told him that they had to do right by their dads. Charles nodded and shot a Flame into the air. Aaron started by shouting, "STARTING OF STRONG! DRAGON TAIL!" Charles the Charmander charged at Bulbasaur as Franklin shouted, "DODGE AND USE VINE WHIP! DON'T LET CHARLES GET CLOSE!" Bulbasaur nodded his head and used Vine Whip against Charles.
"DODGE THE VINE WHIP AS YOU GET CLOSE!" Shouted Aaron. Charles dodged the Vines as Bulbasaur did his best to keep his distance, but soon Charles got Bulbasaur to trip and struck a hard blow with Dragon Tail against Bulbasaur, making the Seed Pokémon slide backward. Franklin checked on Bulbasaur and decided to forgo the rest of the battle as Bulbasaur was injured. Aaron nodded his head as Charles hopped onto his shoulder. Then Charles was followed by Rei as Daphne holding Squirtle and Franklin holding Bulbasaur joined them. Ash and Gary joined the group as Gary said, "The First gym will be the Pewter City Gym, which our friend Brock's Family owns."
"We get to see Uncle Brock! Yes!" Shouted Aaron. Daphne and Franklin both smiled as Ash said, "As champion, I don't have much to tell you. But know this, while we defeated the evil teams all those years ago, some got away who would want nothing more than to have us back in war. Be careful you three."
Aaron, Daphne, and Franklin nodded their heads as they recalled their newly acquired pokémon back to their Pokéballs. That night there was a party. During which, Aaron snuck off to the Graves of Buizel, Unfezant, and Torkoal with Rei and Charles. Aaron sat down with Rei and Charles by his sides as he began speaking to the graves.
"Hey guys, I got my first two Pokémon, I got my Pokédex, and I got my goal and I'm gonna be the very best like Dad was on his journey," Aaron said to the graves. Rei and Charles on his shoulders as he knelt and put a picture of himself and the three on Buizel's grave. He then told them that he hoped they were looking out for him and would be watching out on his journey.
The next day, Aaron had Rei and Charles on his shoulders, Daphne had Eevee on hers, and Franklin had Oddish on his. Ash, May, Gary, Misty, and Daisy all stood behind their kids as they were soon ready to head down Route 1. Misty and May hugged their children as Daisy placed her hand on Franklin's shoulder before she told him to be careful. Franklin nodded his head and said, "I will Mom."
"Call at every Pokémon Center Aaron," May told her son. Aaron nodded his head as Misty gave Daphne plenty of supplies for cooking. Aaron was then given his Dad's old Kanto-Johto hat and gloves. Aaron smiled and hugged his dad before saying, "Be ready dad, I'll come challenge you before you know it." Ash chuckled and said, "I don't doubt it." Aaron put the gloves and Hat on before looking at his friends and said, "Let's go." Daphne and Franklin nodded their heads and the three of them began their Journey as Pokémon trainers.
Meanwhile, in a Meowth Head and Paw Shaped Balloon, two people watched the three walk off and smile as one said, "they should prepare for trouble." then the other said, "For we will make it double."
