Hello viewers! Due to a like in a different part of Ash's adventure, I am once again changing my Pokemon story for Universe 6. Now, instead of the story being called Pokemon Super: Black & White, it is now gonna be called Pokemon Super: Sun & Moon.
As the title may hint at, Cabba will be going through Ash's time in the Alola Region instead of the Unova Region. My reason for doing so is simply because I like the Sun & Moon series just a bit more than the Black & White series.
I assure you, Cabba will still get a Chimchar as his partner. Sadala will still be the planet that was destroyed. Saiyans will still have their Saiyan tails, because that's one thing that separates Saiyans from humans. And finally, Universe 6 will still have their own set of Dragon Balls on Earth...along with a bad trio who are trying to find them.
Disclaimers: Pokemon is owned by Nintendo and the Pokemon Company. Dragon Ball Super is owned by Akira Toriyama. I don't own anything except for the Xenoverse OCs that will appear in the series.
Now that that's out of the way, please enjoy...
Pokemon Super: Sun & Moon!
The Pokemon world, a planet filled with the most amazing creatures imaginable, populating the land, the sea, and the air. Wherever you go, no doubt you'll find Pokemon there too. However, in the Pokemon world, there are times when you'll find something that will unexpectedly lead to a series of events beyond anyone's imagination. For example, a strange round object that came somewhere from the vast reaches of outer space is now making it's way to the Pokemon world. Whatever is in the object could very well change the world of Pokemon as we know it!
Alola to New Adventure
The mysterious object was getting closer and closer to the Pokemon world, otherwise known as a planet called Earth. It looked ready to come in for a nice landing, but suddenly...
A loud roar was heard. To the object's right, a green dragon Pokemon with sharp claws glared at the object. The Pokemon fired a powerful beam from its mouth at the object, causing a great deal of damage.
The green dragon Pokemon flew off without another roar while the mysterious object it hit was now on a crash course for somewhere on Earth.
Meanwhile, down on Earth...
"All right! Whoo-hoo! This is awesome!" A boy was happily riding some shark Pokemon in the water. He even had a yellow mouse Pokemon on his shoulder. "Right, Pikachu?" He asked the Pokemon on his shoulder. "Pikachu!" The Mouse Pokemon happily agreed.
This is Melemele Island, one of the several islands in the Alola Region. The boy, Ash Ketchum, and his partner, Pikachu, are in the middle of a vacation, and they're having an absolute ball!
"Alright! Full throttle, Sharpedo!" Ash told the Pokemon he's riding in the water. Sharpedo happily dove underwater. Ash and Pikachu were holding their breath as they looked around the sea, taking a look at the different Pokemon under the water. The two spotted a Pokemon they've never seen before, it looked like a black slug with small purple spikes.
Ash gave the Pokemon a poke, the Pokemon responded by giving them a surprise peace sign from a stretched out white hand. The two were startled, then Ash grinned. Pikachu, however, struggled to swim up to get some air the Pokemon surprised out of him. Ash quickly followed his little yellow buddy's lead and signaled Sharpedo to swim back up to the surface.
Once they made it back up, both Ash and Pikachu took deep breaths and shook the water off of them. But, something else popped out of the water, a Pokemon that looked like a colorful piranha. The two of them yelped in surprise. Ash tried his best to stay on Sharpedo, but in the end he fell back into the water. Luckily Pikachu managed to stay on Sharpedo. "Pika!"
Next to Sharpedo was another water Pokemon with a blue haired girl and a sea lion Pokemon riding it, like the girl was doing some fishing.
Ash made it back up and held on to Sharpedo's fin. "Made it, buddy." Ash panted a little
The girl on the Pokemon, Lapras, giggled and the other Pokemon clapped her flippers at them. Ash even laughed along.
The laughing stopped when it sounded like something crashed in the distance. Ash, the girl, and the Pokemon yelped a little when the crash shook up the area.
Only a couple of seconds after the shaking was when Ash asked a question of confusion. "What...just happened?"
Somewhere deep in the woods, several of the local Pokemon gathered around a newly made crater. In the middle of the crater looked like some kind of metal pod.
A small woodpecker Pokemon carefully flew down to the middle of the crater while a weasel like Pokemon slid down. The two of them carefully and slowly approached the damaged pod...only to yelped and take a few steps away once the pod door opened up slowly. The other Pokemon were getting nervous for what might come out of the pod, but they stood their ground.
Once the figure was finally out of the pod, the Pokemon were able to get a good look at it. What they're seeing looked like a human male who's fair-skinned and of short stature and has a very slim build. The person's hair is black and spiky, with one bang hanging over his forehead. His eyes are narrow with large black pupils. The outfit the person was wearing has yellow straps, silver plating, a purple under piece, and a blue suit underneath with brown armbands, a brown belt, and purple shoes with grey soles.
While the Pokemon were surprised by the human-like figure that came out of the pod. The woodpecker Pokemon noticed something else and tapped the Pokemon next to it.
"Yungoos?" The Pokemon, Yungoos, asked. "Pek Pikipek." The woodpecker, Pikipek, pointed to what was behind the figure. The Yungoos looked at what Pikipek was looking, and blinked in shock. The other Pokemon on the edge of the crater looked and were blinking a couple of times as well. What were the Pokemon looking at? A brown monkey tail that was slowly waving behind the newcomer.
The person looked up at the sky, then looked around him. "Hey, where am I? Hmm...There should be a map that'll tell me what planet I've landed on. I'm pretty sure it should be back in my-" He slowly turned around, but gasped once he saw the damaged pod. "My Space Pod!"
The Pokemon watched as the newcomer rushed over to the damaged pod. Once he got a closer look, he saw that it was in pretty bad shape. "Rats! It'll take years to repair it! And it's even worse since I don't even have any tools with me to fix it!" He grunted a little.
"Yungoos!" The newcomer heard something and looked down. He saw that Yungoos was right by his feet, giving him a little reassuring pat on the foot. "Huh?" Pikipek landed on his shoulder and nuzzled him on the cheek a little. "What the...?"
The new guy turned around and saw the group of Pokemon looking down at him. Yungoos and Pikipek rushed over to their friends. "Goos Yungoos!" Yungoos motioned for the newcomer to follow them.
While confused, the new guy decided to fly a little out of the crater. Only after he got on the ground did the Pokemon smile at him. The boy smiled back at them. Once Yungoos and Pikipek got back on his shoulders, he gave them both a gentle petting. "I don't know what kind of creatures you are, but you all seem so nice." He chuckled a bit.
What the boy didn't know was that someone was hiding behind some trees, watching the boy carefully.
After getting over the shock, and saying goodbye to the girl and the two water Pokemon, Ash headed back to the beach shore and gave his life jacket back to the young woman in charge of taking care of the Water Pokemon Jet-Ski.
"The famous Alola Water Pokemon Jet-Ski! So, what did you think?" the woman asked.
Ash grinned. "Man...It was super fun!" "Pika Pikachu!" Even Pikachu seemed like he enjoyed the water fun he had with his trainer.
"Great! Come back again soon." The woman said.
"Right." Ash gave Sharpedo a friendly pat. "Thanks, Sharpedo." "Pika Pika." Pikachu gave his thanks. Sharpedo smiled. "Sharpedo."
At another part of the beach, a very tall tree Pokemon was walking by while a cat Pokemon walks up. It sniffed the ground before it laid on the sand.
While it was cleaning itself, something caught its eye. What it saw coming its way was Ash and Pikachu! The two of them seem to be racing each other.
"You won't beat me!" Ash told Pikachu. "Pika Pika!" Pikachu began to take the lead. Closing his eyes, Ash began to speed up. However, he didn't see the cat Pokemon in the way...so he stepped on it's tail, causing it to scream in pain.
Hearing the scream, Ash stopped and turned around. "Sorry!" Ash gasped. But the cat Pokemon, now covered in sand, angrily fired a small flame at Ash, and it hit him in the face. "Gah!? Oh man..." He groaned and fell down. His face was now burning a little from the attack.
While the cat Pokemon angrily walked away, Pikachu ran over to check on his friend. The Mouse Pokemon flinched by the burn on Ash's face.
At a nearby hotel, a woman and another Pokemon were relaxing by a pool. "Blue water, white fluffy clouds, and this delicious Pinap Juice." The woman took a sip of her juice. "Hm! It's so refreshing."
"Mr. Mime Mime!" Mr. Mime agreed while stretching.
"Hey, Mom! I'm back!" Ash ran over to his mom.
"Hope you had fun out there, Ash." Delia said with a giggle.
"Sure did. We went diving with a Sharpedo! And I saw lots of Pokemon I've never seen before! Yeah!" Ash explained with excitement. Pikachu even showed off some facial expressions.
"That does sound like fun." Delia turned to Mr. Mime. "And we have Mimey to thank for winning the tickets for our Alola vacation. Thank you very much, Mimey!" Ash and Pikachu smiled in agreement.
"Mime Mime Mime." Mr. Mime happily said.
See, in the far off Region of Kanto, in Pallet Town, Mr. Mime won a drawing prize. The prize? Why it's tickets for a vacation in the Alola Region.
Delia stood up from the lounge chair. "So, shall we change and get going?"
"Where to, Mom?" Ash asked in confusion.
"Why, to Professor Oak's cousin's place." She replied.
"Right! I forgot!" Ash exclaimed. He thought back to what Professor Oak asked them to do.
Flashback in Pallet Town in the Kanto Region:
Before going on their trip to Alola, Ash, Delia, Pikachu, and Mr. Mime met up with Professor Oak at his research lab. They explained their vacation plans to him, and he thought of a little something involving Alola.
"Mm...Yes, this will work out just fine! I was worried on how I was going to get this to my cousin in the Alola Region. Now, I'm not!" Professor Oak picked up a case on his desk and showed them an egg.
"Wow...an egg! What kind of Pokemon is it?" Ash asked in amazement.
Professor Oak smiled at the question. "You'll just have to wait for it to hatch to find out." He handed the case to Delia.
"Oh man..." Now Ash REALLY wanted to find out for sure.
"Count on us. We'll get it there." Delia assured Professor Oak.
Flashback end:
On a dirt road, in a different part of Melemele Island, a girl was walking down the road.
This girl had long violet hair that curled a little at the end and light blue eyes. She was also wearing a white t-shirt tucked in a pair of brown pants that had the right leg torn off, matching brown bands on her elbows, a brown shoulder pad on her left shoulder that had the name 'Xandra' on it, grey gloves and grey boots. (A/N: For the third time, my Female Earthling from PS4 Xenoverse 2...only I had to recreate her with a different name. If you've seen Pokemon Sun & Moon before, you'll understand why.)
The girl, clearly named Xandra, stopped walking to pull something out of her pocket. "Okay, let's take a look." When she turned her device on, it showed some sort of radar with a couple of blinking dots on it.
Seeing the dots on her device made Xandra grin. "Good. I'm getting close."
After putting her device away, Xandra began to run down the path in front of her. "Won't be long until I add another ball to my collection! And lucky for me, it's close to where I need to go anyway!"
"Wow." Ash said in amazement. Right now, he and his family were now riding on a rickshaw being pulled by a Pokemon named Tauros.
"Mime Mime!" Mr. Mime happily said.
"Our first Pokemon Taxi. This is the best ever." Ash happily looked around the town while Delia giggled at how her son was acting. "Pikachu." Tauros mooed and looked back at Pikachu.
"Here in the Alola Region, we use the power of Pokemon to go anywhere and everywhere." the cab driver explained. "We refer to these Pokemon as Ride Pokemon."
Pikachu watched Tauros' tails flicking behind it. "For land travel, take a Land Ride Pokemon. Flying, you take an Air Ride Pokemon. On water, a Water Ride Pokemon." As the driver explained, Pikachu smiled and tried to reach for one of Tauros' tails.
Ash held on to Pikachu to stop him from grabbing the tails. "So, that Sharpedo was a Water Ride Pokemon.
"Ho-Ho!" the driver chuckled in amusement. "It sounds to me like you've already been trying things out here."
"Where are we taking the egg?" Ash asked his mom.
"To a place they call the Pokemon School." Delia answered. "Pokemon School, huh?" Ash repeated.
"Sounds interesting, doesn't it?" Delia asked. "Yeah." Ash agreed.
Mr. Mime spotted something. "Mime, Mime, Mime." He tapped Delia's leg to get her attention.
They looked at what Mr. Mime was looking at. "My, my! Look at all those delicious berries!" Delia exclaimed, looking at the many berries in the booths. "Maybe I'll buy some as a gift."
"The berries at this market are always fresh and delicious." the driver said. "Sounds great!" Delia said and Mr. Mime agreed.
Delia looked over at the berries. "Mm...It's so hard to make a decision."
Ash and Pikachu were actually more interested in seeing more of Alola and finding out what kind of Pokemon live in the region. Just as they were passing a grassy patch, something popped out from the ground, catching their attention. "Huh?/Pika Pika?"
They looked and saw a Pokemon that looks like a bug with small pincers. Seeing the new Pokemon made Ash get closer to it in excitement. "It's a Pokemon! So cool!" Seeing the human get too close annoyed the Pokemon. "I wonder what its name is." The bug Pokemon pinched Ash by the nose, making him yelp in pain.
The Pokemon let go and began to dig away. Ash, however, wasn't gonna let the bug Pokemon get away. "Okay! Let's catch it, Pikachu!" Ash said with determination. "Pika!" Pikachu agreed. The two ran after the bug Pokemon.
While the two of them went after the bug Pokemon, Delia sighed happily after smelling the berry in her hand. "Mm...Ash, look!" When she turned around, both she and Mr. Mime saw that Ash and Pikachu were nowhere to be seen.
Back in the forest, the guy with the tail was now walking on his own. The Pokemon he met already went back to their homes.
"Those creatures were kinda...unusual. Nothing like anything I've seen before on other planets, not even back home on Sadala." The guy said. He stopped walking when a blue glow caught his attention. "Huh?" He looked ahead and saw a glowing object on the ground in front of him.
Curious, he walked over to the object and picked it up. It stopped glowing, so he was able to get a better look at it. In his hand is what looks like a light blue ball with two purple stars on it. (A/N: TA-DA! Once again, one of the seven Dragon Balls of Universe 6!)
The boy tilted his head a little in confusion. "What is this?" Just after he asked himself that, something burrowed past him underground. "Huh? What just happened?"
"Hey! Slow down!" Ash's voice yelled out. The guy quickly turned his head...only to yelp when Ash suddenly crashed into him, causing them both to hit the ground.
The collision knocked Pikachu off Ash's shoulder. He landed on his feet and quickly turned around to the groaning boys. "Pika Pikachu?"
"Oh man, that hurt." Ash groaned and rubbed his head. He looked down at the guy he crashed into. "Sorry about that. You okay?" As he stood up, he grabbed the tailed guy's arm to help pull him up.
"Yeah, I think so." the guy replied once they were both back on their feet.
"Pika Pika Pikachu!" Pikachu tried to get Ash's attention. Once he got it from both boys, the Mouse Pokemon pointed ahead. Seeing this made Ash remember what he was doing before. "Oh right!" As he began to run again, he turned his head to the other guy. "Sorry for the hit and run, but I can't let that Pokemon get away! Come on, Pikachu!"
As Pikachu followed after Ash, the new guy blinked in confusion. "Huh? Pokemon?" Not knowing what else to do, he decided to run after the duo from Kanto, after tucking the ball he found in his armor of course. "Hey! Wait up!"
While the chase continued, the three of them didn't notice that the same figure that watched the guy with the tail earlier was now watching them both. It zipped between trees to stay out of sight while joining the chase itself.
The Pokemon poked out of the ground...just as Ash dove in to catch it. But the Pokemon was quicker and dug back further underground. As he made it to the hole, Ash tried to dig to get to the Pokemon, frustrated that the Pokemon got away. "Now, where did that Pokemon go!?" Ash snapped.
The new guy was finally able to catch up to Ash and Pikachu. He blinked when he saw Ash digging on the ground. "Uh...Excuse me, but what are you doing?"
"Trying to catch a Pokemon that dug underground!" Ash replied.
"...What's a Pokemon?" The guy's question made Ash stop digging as he quickly turned around.
"Wait a minute! You don't know what a Pokemon is!?" Ash asked in shock. Pikachu just sweat dropped.
The new guy just stepped back a little. "Uh, no, I don't. We don't have creatures called Pokemon on Planet Sadala."
Now it was Ash's turn to blink. "Planet Sadala?" "Pika?" Pikachu asked as well.
The new guy nodded. "Yeah. That's where I'm from. You see, I-" He stopped when something dropped on his head. Something dropped on Ash's head too, causing them both to look up. The thing that dropped on Ash's head was known as a Sitrus Berry which is now on the ground. What fell on the other guy was also a Sitrus Berry, but the tailed guy had it in his hand.
"Huh? Where are we?" Ash asked. As the two boys talked, Pikachu picked up the berry on the ground and began to eat it. Clearly, he was enjoying the taste.
"I don't know. I've been walking around this forest ever since my ship crashed." the tailed guy replied. He even took a bite out of the Sitrus Berry.
"Man...that's too bad." Since he had no chance of getting the bug Pokemon now, Ash remembered what he needed to do. "Oh well...Where are we supposed to take that egg again?"
"Egg? What egg?" The tailed guy asked in confusion.
"A Pokemon Egg. It should be with my mom. We came here to-" Ash was cut off by a long moaning in the forest.
The two of them slowly looked around to find out where it came from, even Pikachu was curious. "What was that?" The tailed guy asked carefully. "A Pokemon!" Ash guessed.
Turns out, Ash's guess was correct. Out from behind the rustling bush came a big black Pokemon with a pink face, yawning from the nap it took. "Oh wow!" Ash excitedly pointed at the Pokemon in front of them.
The Pokemon began to wave both of its arms. The tail guy chuckled a little. "Look at that. It's waving." Both boys and Pikachu walked over to the Pokemon. "You sure are cute!" Ash laughed.
But the Pokemon's expression turned dark as it let out a loud screech, startling the two boys and Pikachu. Then the Pokemon smashed a tree down, leaving the three of them stiff and shocked. "Wh-What the...?" the tailed guy asked. "Now what?!" Ash gulped. They saw the Pokemon smacking down more trees. Then it screamed out loud as if it was angry!
The two boys and Pikachu screamed and began to run away...but the Pokemon chased after them . Ash screamed. "MOVE IT!" The two of them ran as fast as they could to try and get away from the Pokemon chasing them and smacking down more trees along the way.
As they were running away, the boy with the tail turned his eyes just as a blur stopped the Pokemon in it's tracks. "Huh?"
Once they realized the Pokemon wasn't chasing them anymore, they stopped and panted from the fast running they just did. "What's up with that?" Ash panted. "I don't know, but that was close." The tailed guy answered, wiping some sweat from his forehead. "I think I'm starting to understand what Pokemon are. Creatures with incredible powers, some friendly, some dangerous."
"Yeah, that's pretty much what they are." Ash, Pikachu, and the new guy managed to catch their breath. "I guess that was just a taste of a Pokemon's power. Some, like my partner, can even attack with electricity." Ash said. "Pika!" Pikachu's cheeks sparked a little as a demonstration to the surprised new guy.
"Wow! Impressive!" The new guy commented.
"Anyway, we never had a chance to introduce ourselves." Ash held his hand out. "My name's Ash! And this is my partner, Pikachu!" Pikachu!" Pikachu waved.
The new guy smiled and shook Ash's hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm Cabba, a Saiyan from Planet Sadala."
"A...Saiyan?" Ash asked in confusion. Cabba blinked in realization. "Oh, right. I never got a chance to explain. You see, Saiyans are a race of warriors from another planet."
"Really?" That's when Ash and Pikachu noticed Cabba's tail, and boy were they surprised. "Whoa! What's that!?" "Pika!?" Pikachu asked as well.
Cabba smiled as he looked at his tail. "Oh, that? Don't worry, it's just my tail." Ash and Pikachu blinked. "Your...tail?" Ash asked. Cabba nodded. "That's right. It's pretty common to see a Saiyan with a tail."
"Oh." Ash chuckled a little. But when he looked up, he saw something in the air. "What's that?" Cabba and Pikachu looked up as well. "It looks like a dragon with a flame at the tip of its tail." Cabba answered.
"A Charizard? Must be an Air Ride Pokemon." Ash looked excited. Cabba kept his eyes on the Charizard. " Air Ride Pokemon? You mean you ride on Pokemon too?" When he looked down from the sky, he saw that both Ash and Pikachu were chasing after the Charizard! "Huh?! Ash, wait! You don't even know where it's going!" Cabba quickly ran after the Kanto duo.
As they chased after the Charizard, they stopped to see a sort of a large area. Some people were actually having some fun with Pokemon. The building itself looks like some kind of school. "What is this place?" Cabba asked.
Ash turned his attention to a girl in a white hat. Next to the girl were three Alolan Pokemon. Ash was excited to see the three Pokemon, so he climbed over the fence to meet them. "Whoa! So many Pokemon!" Cabba looked at what Ash was seeing and followed along.
The girl noticed them and tried to warn them about something. "No! Look out!" That startled both Ash and Cabba. Suddenly the two of them felt rumbling close by.
They turned to their left see some more Pokemon charging their way! There were people on the three Pokemon, like they were having a race. Cabba thought fast and jumped out of the way...but it was too late for Ash, the Pokemon trampled him, causing him to yell out in pain. The scream shocked the riders, the green haired girl pulled the Pokemon back to stop it. "Stop! Stop it, Tauros! Come on!"
"Pika Pi!?" Pikachu ran over to check on his trainer. The girl in the white hat rushed over as well. "Ah! Are you alright?"
Ash groaned before he got back up, dusting himself off. "Uh...Uh, yeah! Actually, I'm good at dealing with Tauros! You see, I've caught some!" He explained with a grin. When he turned his head to the right, there was no next to him. "Huh? Hey, Cabba? Where are you?" He looked around to try and find his new friend.
"I'm up here!" Cabba's voice answered. When Ash, Pikachu, and the girl looked up, they were surprised to see Cabba floating in the air, slowly coming down to meet them.
"Whoa! Were you flying just now!?" Ash asked in shock. Cabba nodded. "Yeah, I was. Took me a while to get used to it a couple of years ago actually, but I was able to get it right during my training." Ash blinked. "Training?"
"Training?" the white hat girl asked. "So does that mean you're a martial artist?" Cabba turned to her. "Yeah, you could say that."
"A martial artist?" Ash asked the girl. She nodded. "There's a lot of martial artists here in Alola. I've heard that some even fight alongside Pokemon." She shrieked when she noticed one of the Tauros so close to her. She hid behind Ash, surprising him and Cabba. When she noticed Pikachu next to them, she shrieked again.
Ash frowned. "Hey...you're kinda acting like you're scared of Pokemon." The girl pouted at that. "I am not scared! I love Pokemon...at least, from a research point of view."
The three riders came over to them. "I'm sorry! You two came out of the forest so quickly like that...I couldn't stop." the green haired girl nervously said.
Cabba smiled. "That's okay, you were in the middle of a race." The chubby boy stepped up with a smirk. "Thing is, Lillie can't touch Pokemon."
Lillie looked annoyed at the teasing. "I can touch them! Theoretically, that is! If I really wanted to...I just choose not to!" Pikachu got on Ash's shoulder.
"Don't worry! Don't get all frustrated and one day, you'll be able to...if you want." the green haired girl assured her shy friend. The blue haired girl agreed. "That's right."
Ash recognized the blue haired girl. "Ah! You! I saw you at the ocean fishing!" The girl remembered the encounter. "For Bruxish!" "You know this guy?" the green haired girl asked her friend.
Ash explained. "I'm Ash Ketchum! I came from Pallet Town in the Kanto Region! And this is my good buddy, Pikachu! Nice to meet you!" "Pika Pika!" Pikachu greeted. Cabba gave them a small gentleman bow. "And I'm Cabba! I came from a different planet called Sadala! I don't have any Pokemon with me, but I'm a Saiyan! Pleasure to meet you!"
While the girls, the chubby boy, and some of them Pokemon were confused by what Cabba just said, Ash and Pikachu looked over at the building. "So, what is this place?" Ash asked. "It's the Pokemon School." the green haired girl answered. "Pokemon School?" Cabba repeated. Ash widened his eyes. "I've heard of the Pokemon School! Wow...so this is it!"
The green haired girl smiled at both Ash and Cabba. "I guess you two must've gotten lost." Ash gave off a nervous laugh. "Well, we were in the forest when we met each other." Cabba replied.
"I'll show you two around." She offered, taking their hands and leading them to the Pokemon School. "Really?" Ash asked. Cabba smiled. "Thank you. That's very kind of you."
The berry-like Pokemon on the girl's shoulder happily let out a sweet aroma. The smell got to Pikachu, making him feel relaxed. Even Cabba closed his eyes and smiled because of the aroma. "Come on. This way." the green haired girl kept dragging the two of them. "Hey...You don't have to pull so hard." But she kept walking them to the Pokemon School for a little tour.
Once the three of them were inside, Ash was immediately amazed by what he was seeing. "What's that!? So cool! Awesome!" Ash laughed and ran around to get a good look at everything. Cabba smiled as he watched Ash look around the school. "He's so energetic."
The trainer from Kanto ran to a window. He looked out to see two boys playing some game with two Pokemon named Machamp and Primeape. "This is great! Where am I again?" The girl giggled at the question. "Remember, it's the Pokemon School." Cabba turned his head to the girl. "Sorry, what's your name?" "It's Mallow." the girl, Mallow, happily introduced herself. Cabba nodded before turning back to Ash. "Yeah, Mallow just told us that."
"It's a place where Pokemon and students all study together." Mallow explained. Once the three of them walked up to the door, Mallow knocked on it and called for someone. "Principle, sir? I brought two new students!"
Both Ash and Cabba were shocked by what Mallow just said. "New students!? N-No no no no!" Ash yelped and flailed his arms. "Wait a second!" Cabba yelped.
Before Mallow could react, the door opened, revealing both Delia and Mr. Mime. "Ash, you finally made it!" Delia happily said. Ash gasped. "It's my mom!"
Someone else came out as well. "Alola, Ash! Alola to you too, young man! Welcome to the Pokemon School! Ho Solrock and roll!" The person made a Pokemon facial expression.
While Cabba blinked and sweat dropped, Ash's eyes widened. "Professor Oak!? What are you doing here?" Ash yelped.
The person laughed at the Kanto trainer's shock. "People tell me we look alike! I guess that's why you recognized me! The name's Samson Oak!" "He's the Pokemon School Principle." Mallow added.
"Trapinch to meet you two!" Principle Oak made another Pokemon facial expression. Cabba just sweat dropped again. "Uh...Nice to meet you too."
"He always makes jokes, playing around with Pokemon names." Mallow made it clear for them.
The principle turned to them with a big smile on his face. "We all need a little fun! A little dose of levity and laughter is what my RANITAR!" He made another expression of a Pokemon named Tyranitar, making Ash, Cabba, Mallow, Pikachu, and even the berry-like Pokemon named Bounsweet sweat drop at the facial expression.
Everyone was in the Principle's room. Ash was explaining what happened to him and Pikachu. Chasing after a bug Pokemon named Grubbin into the forest, meeting Cabba in the forest, running away from the dangerous Pokemon named Bewear... "And after me and Cabba chased after Charizard, we kind of just wound up here." Ash finished his explanation. Mr. Mime was having a bit of fun with Pikachu and Bounsweet.
Mallow realized something after the explanation. "So, that means...you two are not new students here after all!" Cabba sheepishly turned to her. "I guess we never got the chance to explain ourselves, didn't we?"
Mallow shook her head. "It's my fault...I'm in such a hurry all the time, I can miss things."
Principle Oak gave his cousin in Kanto a call about the egg. "Hey, Samuel! It's me! I've got your egg safe and sound!" Professor Oak's face was on the screen. "Excellent, Samson! That's what I like to hear! Thanks to you, Delia!" Delia gave a small bow. "It's my greatest pleasure."
An idea came to Mallow. "Say...Principle Oak, sir? May I show Ash and Cabba around the campus?" While Ash was excited, Cabba raised an eyebrow. "Me too?"
"Of course! Porygon you go!" Principle Oak made a Porygon expression as he said that.
Mallow turned to the two of them. "So, ready to go, guys?"
Cabba nodded. "Yes." "YEAH!" Ash exclaimed.
Once they were out of the office, Mallow showed them a classroom. "Now, this is our classroom." The two of them were in awe at such an open classroom. "Whoa...wow!" Ash happily ran around until he and Pikachu reached the balcony of the classroom. "This is so nice." "Pika Pikachu!" Pikachu agreed. When Cabba joined the two, all three of them felt the cool breeze hit their faces. "Such a nice breeze." Cabba closed his eyes and let the wind gently blow against his spiky hair.
Mallow walked over to them. "That's not all. There's the field where you both met Tauros. There's also a lake, and the campus is huge, and we learn all sorts of amazing things!"
While Ash was excited, Cabba looked down to get a look at the view. "Wow. I have to admit, not even the academy back on Sadala is as nice as the Pokemon School." he thought to himself.
Just then, another person came in to greet them. "Hi! A big Alola to you all!" They turned around to see a person walking in. He even had a chimp-like Pokemon on his shoulder. Mallow knew who the person is. "Professor Kukui!" Ash and Cabba turned to her. "Professor?" they both asked. "Yeah. He's a teacher here." Mallow turned to the Alolan professor. "Professor? I'd like you to meet Ash and Cabba."
The Alolan professor chuckled a little. "Principle Oak just filled both me and Chimchar in. Hi, Ash! Pikachu! Cabba! The Pokemon School is a wonderful place. I hope you enjoy your visit here." Chimchar happily nodded. "Char Chimchar!"
"Thank you." Both Ash and Cabba thanked the professor. "Pika!" Pikachu also thanked them. Just then, a roar was heard outside. When they looked, they saw a boy confronting a trio with Charizard by his side near the school's entrance.
Ash frowned. "Who are they?" "I don't know, but I don't like what I'm seeing." Cabba frowned. Professor Kukui frowned at the scene himself.
The boy and his Charizard glared at the trio who just stepped off their bikes. "Stopping our bikes the way you did was not the smartest of moves." the first guy said in annoyance. "Yeah! Just like what my bro said!" the second guy agreed.
"Team Skull doesn't like anyone getting in our way." the first guy, or rather grunt, reminded. "You've got that right!" the only female grunt with them agreed.
The boy sharpened his glare. "I don't remember blocking the road. The only people I see getting in the way are you." The first grunt found it amusing. "Well, listen to the big talker!" "Ha! I dare you to say that again!" the second grunt taunted.
While the grunts and the boy argued, Lillie, the other girl, Lana, and the chubby boy, Sophocles watched with the two Pokemon named Popplio and Togedemaru. Ash, Cabba, and Mallow came over to see themselves. Ash looked at the three grunts, already not liking them. "Who are those guys?"
"They're part of Team Skull." Mallow answered. "They're always bullying us into a Pokemon battle. Not nice." Professor Kukui walked over with Chimchar, just in time to see the grunts getting ready to battle one of his students.
"If you can beat us in a Pokemon battle, MAYBE we'll let you walk away." the first Team Skull grunt said. The second grunt added to the offer. "Yeah! But if we beat you, then that Charizard of yours will belong to us!"
The boy's face darkened. "You'll be sorry..."
Unfazed, the Team Skull grunts got their Poke Balls out. "Ha! We'll see about that! Come on out, Salandit!/Yungoos!/Zubat!" They brought out three of each Pokemon they called out. All nine of them hissed at the boy and his Charizard. "Now, tell your Charizard to fight!" the first grunt demanded.
"Stop it!" Ash suddenly ran out to confront them. Cabba did the same. Professor Kukui, Mallow, Sophocles, Lillie, Lana and the Pokemon were surprised to see Ash and Cabba step up to fight. "But Ash, Cabba!" Mallow called out to the two in worry.
The second grunt sneered at the two of them. "Who do you two think you are?" "You're cowards, ganging up three against one!" Ash replied.
The first grunt scoffed. "Ha! And what are you two gonna do about it?" Cabba got into a fighting stance. "We'll even things out and battle as well! Someone needs to teach you a lesson!"
The female grunt raised an eyebrow. "Hold it! If you're gonna battle as well, then why aren't you bringing your Pokemon out?" Cabba kept his serious glare. "I don't have a Pokemon with me." Everyone was surprised to hear what the Saiyan just said. The first grunt just laughed. "Seriously? You're gonna try and take us on without even a single Pokemon!? That's a stupid move, even from a martial artist you seem to be!"
Ash glared at the grunts again. "Well, I'll still fight too!" He turned to the boy next to him. "Are you ready? Um...and you are...?" "Kiawe...but I don't need any help. Not even from a martial artist who doesn't have any Pokemon with him." Kiawe eyed Cabba as he answered.
"Those guys are really dangerous, guys!" Mallow warned Ash and Cabba. Still, the Saiyan's determined look didn't go away. "It's okay, Mallow. I've had to deal with criminals before, I can handle this." Chimchar saw how serious and determined Cabba looked, it even reminded him of someone he knew before in a different region. Seeing this made the Chimp Pokemon look serious himself.
"Ready, Pikachu? I choose you!" Ash called for his partner. Pikachu jumped into the battle. Professor Kukui widened his eyes, amazed by Ash and Cabba's determination to take on Team Skull. "Oh my..." He stroked his chin, feeling interested in the two of them.
Kiawe got a Poke Ball out. "Don't hurt yourselves. Now! Turtonator, come on out!" He tossed his ball in the air, and out of it came a big Pokemon with spikes on the back of its shell.
Both Ash and Cabba were amazed to see Turtonator. "Wow! Totally awesome!" Ash exclaimed. "It's called a Turtonator, right?" Cabba asked. "A Fire and Dragon-Type. A strong and trusty friend. A wise one." Kiawe explained.
Suddenly, something jumped in front of Cabba, surprising everyone. Now standing in front of Cabba...was Chimchar. "Chim!" The Chimp Pokemon got into his own fighting stance. Cabba blinked. "What the...?"
"Check it out! Chimchar's joining the battle!" Sophocles exclaimed. "Looks like he's trying to help the martial artist battle Team Skull." Lana added.
Now Professor Kukui was even more interested. "Well, I'll be. Let's see how this plays out."
The first Team Skull grunt decided to get the battle started. "Alright, Salandit! Show'em your strength with Venoshock!" The other two grunts joined in. "Yungoos, use Bite!/Zubat, Leech Life!" The nine Pokemon jumped in to attack the three enemy Pokemon.
"Pikachu, use Quick Attack!" Ash called out. Pikachu quickly dashed away to avoid Salandit's Venoshock just before the Electric-Type bashed the three Fire/Poison-Types with his speed.
"That's fast." Kiawe commented, surprised. "Wow. Incredible. So, this is how they fight on this planet?" Cabba muttered in awe. "Char!" Chimchar got Cabba's attention. The Chimp Pokemon pointed at a couple of Pokemon coming their way.
Seeing the Pokemon made Cabba focus on the battle himself. "Right! We're in this battle as well! Show them your power, Chimchar!" Chimchar jumped and fired some fire balls at the Yungoos and Zubat. Ash grinned when he saw the attack. "Whoa! Awesome Ember, Chimchar!" Cabba blinked. "Huh? Ember?"
The remaining Pokemon aimed for Turtonator who quickly turned around. Once the Pokemon so much as touched Turtonator's spikes...they were blown away!
Both Cabba and Ash were shocked by this. "Whoa! I've never seen anyone battle like that before!" Cabba yelped. "What happened?" Ash asked. "If someone touches the spines on Turtonator's shell, they'll blow up." Kiawe explained. "Wow...!" Was all both Cabba and Ash could say.
The first grunt made the next move. "Quick, Salandit! Use Flame Burst!" The Fire/Poison-Types fired rings of fire at both Pikachu and Chimchar.
"Watch out, Chimchar!" Cabba warned. "Pikachu, dodge it and use Thunderbolt!" Ash called. The two Pokemon jumped up to avoid the attack. First, Chimchar scratched one Salandit just before Pikachu got all three with a powerful jolt of electricity, thus knocking all three of them out.
"Now that's some power and teamwork." Cabba commented with a smile. "Yeah! Way to go!" Ash cheered. What no one knew is that a figure was watching both Ash and Cabba. It was as if the hidden figure was interested in both the Kanto Trainer and the Saiyan warrior.
Kiawe stepped up to the front. "I'll finish this." Catching Ash, Pikachu, and Cabba off guard. Before they could ask, the ring on Kiawe's left wrist gave off a glow. "Alright! Turtonator, let's go!" Both Kiawe and Turtonator were ready for one last attack.
Ash and Cabba gasped at what they were seeing. The first grunt's eyes widened as he watched. "Oh no!" The second grunt gasped. "Uh-oh!" The third grunt was just as nervous. "Could it be THE move!?"
Both Kiawe and Turtonator began to make some poses. "The zenith...of my mind, of body and spirit! Like the great mountain of Akala, become a raging fire and burn! INFERNO OVERDRIVE!" Once they finished the poses, Turtonator created a giant fire ball and launched it at the nine Team Skull Pokemon. It hit all the Team Skull Pokemon at once and created a huge explosion!
When the smoke cleared, the Salandit, Yungoos, and Zubat were all knocked out, leaving the grunts no choice but to return them. Cabba's eyes widened by the move. "Wow, such a powerful attack." Chimchar saw the Saiyan's look and couldn't help but laugh a little.
Not one to give up, the first Team Skull grunt glared at Ash, Cabba, and Kiawe. "Hey! I'm not done with you!"
Suddenly, another voice yelled to the grunts. "I beg to differ!" Everyone looked to see that Xandra was standing next to Kiawe, glaring at Team Skull. "You Team Skull pests better get away from my school before Muddy and I POP ALL THREE OF YOU LIKE A BUNCH OF ZITS! MOVE IT!" At the angry shout, the three grunts screamed, hopped on their bikes and got out of there as fast as they could!
Ash and Cabba were actually kind scared of the girl. "Well, that just happened..." Ash muttered. Cabba just nodded in agreement without a word.
Kiawe chuckled. "Another day, another bunch of Team Skull members scared away by you." That surprised both Ash and Cabba.
"Wait, this has happened before?!" Ash asked. Mallow, Lana, Lillie, Sophocles, Professor Kukui, and the Pokemon walked over to join them. "It's happened a bunch of times." Lana answered.
"At times, when Team Skull doesn't leave even after they lost a battle, our Xandra just yells at them or something else to give them a good scare." Mallow added.
"Well, someone's gotta make sure those guy don't cause anymore trouble." Xandra turned to the Alolan professor...who was holding a stopwatch? "How'd I do, Professor Kukui?" The professor looked at the stopwatch and grinned. "Ten seconds flat, looks like a new record to me!" The answer made Xandra grin right back.
Deciding to leave the topic about Xandra alone, Ash turned to Kiawe. "Kiawe, what was that move you did earlier?" Instead, Professor Kukui answered the question. "A Z-Move." "A Z-Move?" Cabba repeated in confusion. Xandra nodded. "Yeah. Z-Moves are special moves that have been passed down in the Alola Region."
Professor Kukui continued the explanation. "She's right. In Alola, there are four islands. And each of them has its own Guardian Pokemon! Only those who participate in the ceremony called the Island Challenge are able to use Z-Moves!"
Hearing this caught Ash's interest. "Island Guardians...Island Challenge...and Z-Moves, too!" Cabba had to admit, even he was both amazed and interested in the guardians and these Z-Moves. "That's amazing."
Seeing their interest, Professor Kukui placed a hand on Ash and Cabba's shoulders. "Now, that was a real Mega Punch level battle, especially with Chimchar stepping up to give Cabba a Helping Hand." Xandra raised an eyebrow and glanced at Chimchar. "Really? The little fire guy joined in a battle against Team Skull?" Chimchar nodded.
"Yeah, Chimchar jumped up to fight alongside that martial artist once he said he didn't have a Pokemon with him." Kiawe answered, shocking Xandra. She turned to Cabba. "Seriously? You don't even have a single Pokemon with you and you tried to take on Team Skull? What were you thinking!? That's reckless!" Cabba raised his hands a little. "Sorry, I didn't know! I'm not use to how things work around here."
Professor Kukui smiled at the Saiyan before he turned his attention to the Kanto trainer. "Say, Ash. You seem to enjoy a great battle." Ash grinned. "Yeah! I want to become a Pokemon Master!" The Alolan professor was amazed by the goal. "Oh, I see!" Cabba blinked a couple of times. "Pokemon Master?" Suddenly, both he and Ash felt something fall on their heads. They turned to see a Pokemon fly into the forest, quickly out of sight.
"Who's that Pokemon?" Ash asked, catching the students' attention. "Pokemon?" Sophocles repeated in confusion. "But where?" Lana looked around. "It just flew into the forest." Cabba answered and pointed at the forest.
Mallow frowned. "I didn't see anything." Ash tried to explain. "It was just there! It was a Pokemon for sure! It was yellow...it was this big...with an orange crest on its head." The description made Xandra's eyes widen. "Wait, from the description, it sounds like you two just saw..." Kiawe finished for her. "Tapu Koko..."
Surprised, Lillie stepped up. "You two saw Tapu Koko!? Guardian of Melmele Island!?" Ash and Cabba were surprised. "Uh...if that's what it was." Cabba sweat dropped a little. "Wow...Guardian? That's what that was...?" Ash asked.
While they were talking about the possible Tapu Koko sighting, no one noticed the glow coming from Cabba's armor...except for Xandra who glanced at his armor with a raised eyebrow.
Later that night, Cabba found himself eating at a restaurant with Ash, Delia, Pikachu, and Mr. Mime. Ash invited the Saiyan to grab a bite to eat with them, of course Cabba didn't want to bother, but Delia insisted that it was no trouble at all. Cabba thanked them and joined the Ketchum family to enjoy some tasty Alolan dishes.
Delia beamed happily as she tasted the Alolan food. "Mm...This is so good!" Mr. Mime and Pikachu seemed to be enjoying their Pokemon food as well. Cabba was just kinda poking at his food, he was too busy thinking about what happened to him since he came to Earth. "I admit, I do like this planet, but I can't stay. I should probably ask someone here for some tools I can use to fix my pod." The Saiyan thought. Ash, on the other hand, thought back to seeing Tapu Koko in excitement.
"Anything interesting happen today, Ash?" Delia asked, getting both of their attention. "You and your new friend seem a little...distracted this evening."
Cabba was surprised. "Oh, I'm so sorry, Ma'am! That's very rude of me!" He bowed in apology. Delia giggled. "Oh, don't be silly. It's okay." Before Ash could explain, a cry of a Pokemon was heard coming near them. Cabba shot up from his seat. "What was that?" Ash shot up as well, catching Delia to look at both of them in surprise.
Both Ash and Cabba looked around until they saw a familiar Pokemon quickly flying by. "Tapu Koko!?" Cabba asked. "Yeah! That was it!" Ash jumped up and ran after. Cabba was right by his side. Delia watched them go in confusion. "Where are you going!? Pikachu!?" She watched as the Mouse Pokemon ran after the two of them.
Ash, Pikachu, and Cabba stopped at the town's fountain. They were looking around for Tapu Koko. "Pika." Pikachu muttered. "KO!" Both boys and Pikachu blinked to see Melemele Island's Guardian Pokemon appearing before them. "There it is!" Ash said before he ran after it. Cabba followed after him. They followed Tapu Koko up to the high viewpoint of the city.
Ash caught his breath while Cabba braced himself for when Tapu Koko decides to fly away again. To their surprise, the Melemele Guardian didn't run away this time. "That's Tapu Koko?" Ash asked. "Melemele's Guardian." Cabba added. The two of them carefully walked a little closer to the Guardian Pokemon.
"Why do you keep coming to us? Is there something that you want to tell us?" Ash asked Tapu Koko in confusion. Once they stopped right in front of it, Tapu Koko showed two items. It used its power to bring them closer to Cabba and Ash.
They looked at the items and noticed that they were rings. "Ah!...Those look like the one that Kiawe was wearing!" Ash noticed in surprise. Cabba took a closer look at the rings. "Look! The one on the right has a red crystal just like Kiawe's, but the one on the left has a yellow crystal!"
Ash widened his eyes as he, Pikachu, and Cabba glanced back at Tapu Koko. After a moment of silence while looking at each other, Tapu Koko just gave a nod to the two boys. Cabba raised an eyebrow. "You mean...they're for us?" Tapu Koko nodded again to answer the Saiyan's question. Widening his eyes, Ash smiled and reached for the ring with the yellow crystal. Cabba reached for the one with the red crystal. As soon as their fingers touched the crystals, they glowed, startling them both.
After getting used to the glowing, both Ash and Cabba watched and held on to their new rings before attaching them to their left wrists. The rings seem to fit them both perfectly.
Ash, Pikachu, and Cabba looked back up at Tapu Koko. Melemele Island's Guardian Pokemon gave them a nod before flying off into the night sky. "Hey! Wait, Tapu Koko!" Cabba ran a little to try and stop the Pokemon, Ash followed to try and stop it as well. But it was too late, Tapu Koko was gone.
Cabba looked at the ring on his left wrist in confusion. "I don't get it. I'm not a Pokemon Trainer, why did Tapu Koko give me this?"
"I don't know...But whatever we did, I think Tapu Koko had a reason for giving us these rings." Ash answered with a grin, he even showed his ring and yellow crystal to the Saiyan warrior. "Pikachu!" Pikachu happily agreed.
Cabba smiled a little, still not sure. "I guess...it does." He glanced at the red crystal on his ring once again.
The next morning...
"Professor Kukui's house is awesome! Know what? There's also a training room in the basement!" Ash was in Professor Kukui's house, talking to his mom on the special TV. Pikachu showed his punching abilities to Delia.
Delia was already back home in Pallet Town. She smiled at her son. "That's great. I love seeing you and Pikachu have a great time."
"And thanks, Mom." Ash said, confusing his mother. "When I said I wanted to stay on the island, you said fine right off the bat."
Delia smiled again. "Of course I did. I am your mother, so I had a feeling you might ask me that. I was right."
Ash smiled back, but someone else stepped into the room. "Sorry to interrupt, Ash, but we gotta go." That someone was none other than Cabba. The Saiyan now had a backpack on.
At the reminder, Ash gasped. "You're right!" He spoke to his mom. "Gotta go, Mom! Cabba and I start Pokemon School today!" He picked up his hat and backpack.
Delia smiled in understanding. "Have a great time, and be careful!" Ash nodded. "I will!" Delia said something to Cabba next. "Watch over my Ash for me, Cabba. And don't forget to have a great time yourself!" Cabba smiled and nodded. "I'll try my best!" Just after that, Ash ended the call.
The Kanto Trainer, the Saiyan warrior, and Pikachu ran out of Professor Kukui's house as they ran for the Pokemon School to start their official first day.
Along the way, the three of them stopped to look at the ocean next to them. Cabba smiled and began to think to himself. "What an amazing sight. I still can't believe I'm starting Pokemon School today." His smile faded a little as he continued to think to himself. "But, why are these things happening to me? Am I here on this planet...because I was meant to be here?"
Ash interrupted the Saiyan's thoughts. "Race you and Pikachu there, Cabba!" He laughed. Cabba quickly turned his head to see Ash and Pikachu happily running ahead. "Hey! Ash, Pikachu, wait for me!" He ran after the laughing Kanto duo in the direction of the Pokemon School.
On his first day on Planet Earth, Cabba has witnessed a lot of new stuff involving Pokemon. Now that he and Ash are new students of the Pokemon School, what kind of adventures will be waiting for the young Saiyan warrior? What could Tapu Koko possibly want with both Cabba and Ash? The Alolan journey continues next time on Pokemon Super: Sun & Moon!
