Last time on Pokemon Super: Sun & Moon, Cabba and Xandra ran into Team Skull while enjoying their time off from Pokemon School. During the battle, the two students had some unexpected help from a talking Midday Lycanroc named Ace, giving Xandra and Muddy a chance to send Team Skull flying with their Z-Move. Soon after, Cabba, Xandra, and their Pokemon followed Ace back to his pack, and that's when they met Master Okami, the Wolf Hermit. After greeting each other, Master Okami decided to put both Xandra and Cabba to a little test to see if either one of them could stay on a cloud known as the Flying Nimbus. Cabba was able to pass the test and was allowed to keep the cloud as well as the Dragon Ball Master Okami had in his possession. The Wolf Hermit even offered to train the two of them, Cabba kindly accepted the offer while Xandra declined. After that, Cabba, Xandra, and their Pokemon went back home, satisfied that they gained not only their fourth Dragon Ball, but also a new ride and instructor for the Saiyan warrior. And now, it's time for another day in Pokemon School!

That's why Litten's a Scamp

"See you later!" Ash told Professor Kukui. Ash, Cabba, Pikachu, Chimchar, and Rotom left the house and were on their way to Pokemon School. As they were walking, Cabba was telling Ash about the day he had with Xandra. He told his friend how happy he is to have gained a new teacher in Master Okami after receiving the Flying Nimbus cloud and the Seven-Star Dragon Ball.

Ash even told his Saiyan friend about the crazy day he had as well. He met up with Sophocles in the mall after using up everything in the fridge, and about how they both had to stop Team Rocket...just before they were taken away by Bewear again.

After hearing his friend's story, Cabba chuckled a little. "Well, that explains the notes you and Professor Kukui left me by the time I got back home."

Ash kept his grin. "Still, I'm actually happy that you got a new ride and a new martial arts instructor." "Pikachu!" Pikachu was talking to Chimchar. The Chimp Pokemon smiled and nodded. "Chim Chimchar."

"Not only that, but you and Xandra also added another Dragon Ball to our collection!" Rotom spoke next. "This puts our total number of Dragon Balls at four, only three more left to find!"

"Yeah, we're almost there!" Ash grinned in excitement once the thought of meeting the Eternal Dragon came into his mind. "I can't wait to see what the dragon looks like!"

Cabba smiled, seeing his friend so excited about meeting a dragon that can grant any wish. He stopped walking when something in front of them caught his eye. "Huh?" The Saiyan stopping caused the others to stop as well. "Chim?" Chimchar raised an eyebrow.

Just what were they looking at? It was a cat Pokemon looking back at them while standing on the path wall.

"Who's that Pokemon?" Cabba asked. "It's a Litten, Cabba." Rotom answered.

"A Litten, huh?" Ash then thought back to a time when he and Pikachu met a similar Pokemon on the beach. "I think we've seen Litten lots of times already, haven't we?" "Pika." Pikachu confirmed.

"Really?" Cabba kept looking at the Litten in front of them. "This is the first time I've seen a Litten."

"Well, that was before me and Pikachu met up with you." Ash cleared it up.

Rotom decided to five them his description of the cat Pokemon. "Litten, the Fire Cat Pokemon. A Fire-Type. Litten show few emotions and prefers being alone." Litten got down from the wall and walked over to Ash and Cabba. "It takes time to build any level of trust." Rotom finished his explanation.

"Hi, what's up?" Ash asked Litten. The Fire Cat Pokemon meowed and rubbed against his leg. "Hey, maybe you're hungry."

"Pika." Pikachu said.

Cabba looked unsure as he watched Ash pull his lunch out. "Ash, I don't think that's such a good idea."

Ash shrugged it off. "Nonsense. See? This is my lunch. Check it out."

Cabba looked down at Litten and saw the smile on his face. It was enough to make the Saiyan smile himself. "Well, I guess it's okay. Litten seems to be more friendly than Meowth anyway." Chimchar couldn't help but agree to that. "Char."

Ash opens the lid and shows the Fire-Type Pokemon a sandwich. "Yay! Yummy! It's a croquette sandwich!" He tore off a piece of his sandwich and offered it to Litten. "Here you go. It's great."

Instead of taking the Kanto Trainer's offer, Litten jumped and took the bigger piece from Ash, knocking him back a little.

Surprised, Cabba was quick to hold Litten before he could escape with the sandwich. "Hey, hold on!" Before Cabba knew it, Litten began to use Scratch to scratch his face. Chimchar and Pikachu tried to stop Litten with Thunderbolt and Ember, but the cat was able to dodge it.

Cabba grunted and felt the marks on his face. When he looked at Litten again, he noticed a paper bag wrapped around the Fire Cat's tail. "Wait a minute..." The Saiyan quickly looked in his own backpack before he realized something about the bag. "Hey, that's MY lunch! Give it back!"

Ash shot up himself. "And give me back my croquette sandwich!" Litten just answered both boys...with an Ember attack to the face.

"Hold it!" Rotom just got kicked by Litten, causing the Rotom-Dex to smack into both Pikachu and Chimchar. This gave the Fire-Type time to escape.

Ash, Cabba, Pikachu, Chimchar, and Rotom made it to the Pokemon School and told their fellow classmate about their encounter with Litten.

"Wow, so you finally met that Litten!" Mallow exclaimed after Ash finished explaining.

Both Ash and Cabba were surprised to hear what their friend said. "Is it your friend?" the former asked. "Pika?" Pikachu asked as well.

As Mallow began to explain, she felt Bounsweet rubbing against her leg. "Litten comes up, asking for food like Bounsweet's doing. It's so cute, I love it when it does that!"

Lana giggled. "I fall for it every time!" Popplio happily agreed.

"Pikachu." Pikachu said in annoyance.

"I don't think he's so cute! Ugh!" Ash grumbled and held up what was left of his sandwich. "That's how I lost most of my croquette sandwich."

Lillie was surprised to hear what Ash just said. "You mean Litten stole it?"

Cabba looked pretty annoyed himself. "Not only that, but that sneaky cat stole my entire lunch."

Xandra blinked in surprise. "You lost all of it to Litten? Ouch. Sorry about that, buddy."

Lana smiled. "That sounds like our Litten alright." Mallow nodded in agreement.

"Litten's not the kind who enjoys dealing with people." Sophocles explained. "It takes a long time for it to warm up to trainers too. They say it's not your average Pokemon."

Hearing this made Ash realize something. "So he's not too friendly at first..."

"That's precisely what I explained to both Ash and Cabba earlier." Rotom told Sophocles.

Mallow giggled. "Wow...You could say Litten is the lone star of Pokemon, huh? It always seems to be hanging around at our restaurant."

Cabba turned his head to the Fire-Type user in the classroom. "Kiawe, have you ever had an encounter with Litten before?"

Kiawe folded his arms before he gave the Saiyan his answer. "I've seen him in the market too. He steals all kinds of berries from the stands." Hearing his answer made Xandra frown for some reason. Muddy even slumped on his trainer's desk.

Mallow giggled again. "Still...Litten is so incredibly cute, I just can't get angry at him."

Kiawe turned his attention to Ash. "So, do you have a plan to deal with Litten?"

To everyone's surprise, Ash already came up with a plan to deal with Litten. "Someone should teach it! You don't mess with a guy's croquette sandwich!" Pikachu looked up at his human friend.

Lillie was a little confused by what Ash meant. "Wait, teach it? What are you talking about?"

"Uh...I know just what to do! I'll catch it!" Ash held out a Poke Ball. "Pika Pika!" Pikachu happily agreed.

Cabba sighed and slumped a little. Chimchar just patted the Saiyan on the back. Cabba looked up again, but raised an eyebrow once he saw Xandra pulling some stuff out of her backpack with a serious look on her face.

After today's class, Cabba was walking through the market with Ash and Professor Kukui. They were running errands, and as the shopping went on, they only needed one thing left on their list.

"All we have left is to buy soap." Professor Kukui told them.

Ash turned to the professor with a curious look. "Yeah? What kind?"

"Tub and tile, kitchen, window cleaner, all refills." Professor Kukui listed the types they needed to get.

Cabba turned his head to ask the professor a question himself. "Professor Kukui, are you sure it's okay for me to train with Master Okami from time to time? I don't want that to effect my schoolwork."

Professor Kukui just grinned at the young Saiyan. "Of course I'm sure. I know that any martial artist needs to be prepared for any oncoming tournament in the Alola Region. Plus, I trust Master Okami to get you into top shape, he and I are actually pretty good friends."

Hearing about the tournaments made Ash happily grin. "I still can't believe there are actually places in Alola to hold tournaments! I've never seen anything like it during my previous journeys." Pikachu grinned in agreement. "Pi Pikachu!"

"Char Chimchar." Chimchar chuckled and shook his head a little.

Cabba smiled a little himself. After he explained what he and Xandra went through to get the Dragon Ball to Professor Kukui and Principle Oak, the two of them gladly allowed the Saiyan to train with the Wolf Hermit.

Suddenly, something came running past them. Ash recognized who it was right away, and Rotom made an alert on it as well. "A Litten sighting!" He buzzed.

"Hey, wait up!" Ash gave chase to the Fire Cat Pokemon. "Pika Pika!" Pikachu followed after.

"Ash, wait!" Cabba ran after his friend. "Chimchar!" Chimchar was right by his trainer's side.

Professor Kukui just stood there, both surprised and confused as he watched two of his students chase after a Litten. "Ash, Cabba, what's the matter?"

Rotom turned to the professor. "Allow me to explain everything."

While Rotom stayed behind to explain the situation to Professor Kukui, Ash, Cabba, Pikachu, and Chimchar continued their chase after Litten. They stopped to look around for the cat. "Hey, where'd it go?" Ash panted a little.

Cabba looked around himself. "I'm sensing that it came around here somewhere."

"Want to buy some berries, dears?" An elderly woman called out to the two of them. The boys turned to the elderly lady selling berries.

Cabba politely declined. "No thanks, ma'am. We're actually looking for a Litten."

After his friend said that, Ash was able to spot the Pokemon they were trying to find. "There it is!" Cabba blinked in surprise once he saw Litten himself. The Saiyan looked to see Ash and Litten glaring at each other.

Things could've gotten worse, if the kind lady hadn't have spoken up. "Now, you two, let's play nice." She said with a chuckle. She gave Litten an Oran Berry, bewildering Ash as she did.

"Huh? You give it food?" Ash asked her.

"In Alola, nature's bounty is for sharing." She explained. Litten took the berry in his mouth, making her giggle. "Now, dear, don't eat too fast. I love to feed Litten." They watched as Litten ran off to who knows where, even as Professor Kukui and Rotom caught up.

"Does that Litten come here a lot?" Professor Kukui asked.

The lady smiled. "All the time, I have it everyday. Honestly, I think Litten enjoys looking out for me. That's why I have berries waiting when it comes by for a visit." She turned to Ash and Cabba. "So, let me guess...I'd say Litten made off with some of your food, didn't it?"

Cabba frowned a little bit. "Yeah, neither one of us expected it."

Ash was still pretty miffed. "It sure did! My croquette sandwich, specially made!"

Professor Kukui gave the Kanto trainer a sheepish smile. "Ash, I can make you another one."

Cabba decided to ask the lady a question. "Ma'am, do you know where that Litten lives?"

"I haven't the slightest clue as to where Litten lives...but it certainly is a dear." The woman replied.

From the corner of his eyes, Chimchar noticed something that made him raise an eyebrow. He saw both Xandra and Muddy quietly moving out in the same direction that he saw Litten run towards. Seeing that made the Chimp Pokemon blink in confusion. "Chimchar?"

Litten was now running into an old house covered in vines. He ran over to a Pokemon that looks like a large dog.

Litten gave the berry to the dog Pokemon called Stoutland, but the elderly Pokemon pushed it back to the cat. Both of them wanted the other to have it.

It stopped when the two of them heard someone else enter their home. Litten hissed to see the intruder, but he calmed down to see that it was only Xandra and Muddy.

"Alola, Stoutland and Litten." Xandra greeted them both. "Mudkip Mud." Muddy happily waved.

Litten meowed a little. "Stout." Stoutland welcomed the girl and her Mudkip.

They both walked over before Xandra got some fruit out of the bag she was carrying. "Figured you two needed some more food, so Muddy and I took another trip to the market to pick you guys up some very tasty stuff."

"Stoutland." Stoutland thanked her.

Muddy held up a different berry and offered it to Litten. "Mudkip?"

Blinking, Little looked at the Water-Type, before accepting the offer.

Xandra smiled at the two of them. "Good boy, Muddy.. Let's all sit down and eat together."

With that, the four of them sat together to enjoy the berries and even enjoying a nice chat. Of course, Xandra gave Little a little scolding for taking lunch from both Ash and Cabba, but they still had a good time.

After the meal, the four of them were now outside the house. Xandra and Muddy watched as Stoutland began to teach Litten a move. "Stout." Stoutland said.

Litten arches his back and the fire started to show. "Go for it, Litten!/Mudkip!" Xandra and Muddy cheered.

"Litten!" Litten sent a small ball of fire out of his mouth.

Xandra sweat dropped a little when she saw the ball. "Not like any Ember I've seen before." Muddy shrugged. "Mud."

"Stoutland." Stoutland told Litten, telling him that the move wasn't used correctly. "Stoutland!"

Litten tried again, this time the fire ball was bigger.

"Stoutland." Stoutland praised his student.

Xandra watched as Litten kept practicing to use the attack Ember. She smiled at the Fire Cat's progress...until she looked at her watch and saw what time it was. "Oh boy, look at the time!"

She got up and put her backpack on. "Sorry, guys, but me and Muddy should probably go on ahead and go home. Don't want my brothers to worry. Come on, Muddy."

"Mudkip!" Muddy got on her shoulder before she took to the sky.

The next day, the school bell rang, signaling the end of the school day. Ash and Cabba were saying their goodbyes to their friends for the day.

"See ya!/Pikachu!" Ash and Pikachu said.

"Take care on the way home!/Chimchar!" Cabba and Chimchar said.

With that, the two boys and their Pokemon, along with Rotom-Dex ran their way back home. As they were heading home, they suddenly heard a voice not far from where they stood.

They ran over to check it out. When they got there, they saw that Litten was being cornered by a different cat Pokemon.

"It's Litten!" Cabba turned his attention to the other Pokemon. "Hey, Rotom? Who's that other Pokemon?"

"It's a Persian!" Rotom answered.

Ash looked at the Persian. "Persian...? Hold on, it's not like any Persian I've seen before."

"Let me show you." Rotom showed them an image of a different looking Persian. "Ash, I'm sure you're familiar with this Persian." He changed the image to match the Persian cornering Litten. "But an Alolan Persian looks different."

"Wow! An Alolan Persian does look different." Ash noticed.

"The Alolan Persian is a Dark-Type, so it can be cunning with a bit of a mean streak." Rotom told them.

Cabba was surprised. "What!? But, that means..." They looked back just as Persian growled at Litten who was backing up.

"Pika Pika." Pikachu called out. They all jumped over the railing.

"Don't do it!" Ash yelled. Persian ignored the Kanto Trainer and got Litten with a Fury Swipes attack.

"Leave Litten alone!" Cabba shot an energy blast in front of Persian as a warning. Persian turned to the Saiyan and hissed. "All of this just for a single berry? You're going too far, Persian!" Cabba told the Dark-Type. "Chim Char Char Char!" Chimchar agreed.

Persian fired off a beam from its gem at them. They dodged the attack while Litten picked up the berry he dropped and tried to escape. Unfortunately, Persian stopped him and threatened him.

Cabba glared at the Alolan Classy Cat Pokemon. "I said leave Litten alone! Chimchar, use Ember!" Chimchar fired a ball of fire at Persian.

"Pikachu, Electro Ball!" Ash shouted. Pikachu launched the Electric-Type ball, combining it with Chimchar's Ember. Persian dodged them both and fired off another beam.

Both Chimchar and Pikachu were able to avoid the attack. "Thunderbolt, let's go!" Ash shouted.

"And we'll go with this new attack we learned during today's class! Chimchar, use Flame Wheel!" Cabba yelled.

While Chimchar came at Persian in a wheel of fire, Pikachu fired a Thunderbolt attack that went to Chimchar's Flame Wheel, another Fire/Electric combination that got Persian pretty good. The Dark-Type screeched in pain before it ran off in fear.

Seeing that the Classy Cat's gone, Cabba turned his attention back to Litten. "Persian's gone now, Litten. Are you doing okay?"

"Litten has taken a lot of damage." Rotom buzzed. It's true, Litten's pretty hurt from all the damage he took from Persian.

Ash walked over to Litten. "Don't push yourself so hard." Litten stops for a moment to look at them, but he turned to walk away. He dropped the berry he was carrying. "We can help." Ash offered while reaching for the berry. "I'll carry this. Cabba, can you carry Litten?"

Cabba nodded. "Of course."

Quickly, Litten bit Ash's hand, making him yelp in pain.

"Litten, stop that! We're just trying to help you." Cabba told the Fire-Type. "Pika! Pikachu! Pika!" Pikachu pleaded.

Litten, still not wanting their help, tried to fire an Ember attack at them...but it was unable to even reach them. "Litten, come on." Ash pleaded.

Litten couldn't stay on his paws for long, so he collapsed on the ground, panting. Ash looked at the Sitrus Berry and gently rolled it over to Litten. "I understand...It's yours, right?" They watched as Litten took the berry into his paws. "Look, I'm not trying to take it away from you..." Suddenly, Ash took Litten into his arms, thus making the Fire Cat Pokemon angrily struggle to break free from the Kanto Trainer's grip. "But you need help. Cabba and I are taking you to the Pokemon Center."

Still a stubborn cat, Litten began to scratch Ash's arms to free himself, which didn't work. "I'm not gonna let go of you! Cabba, grab Litten's berry!" Ash began to walk into the direction of the Pokemon Center with Litten in his arms.

Cabba nodded and picked up the Sitrus Berry. "Right." They followed after Ash.

Litten was still scratching and biting at the trainer carrying him. "Ow! Quit biting me!" Ash yelped.

The boys got Litten to the Pokemon Center, and right away Nurse Joy got to work bandaging up the wounds on the Fire-Type's body. For the final touch, Nurse Joy put a collar around his neck...but it didn't really make Litten feel any better.

"Excuse me, Nurse Joy?" Cabba pointed to the collar around Litten. "What do you call that collar around Litten's neck?"

"It's called a Heliolisk Collar." Nurse Joy answered. "I put it there to make sure Litten doesn't lick its wounds."

While Ash was amazed, Rotom submitted some new data involving the collar. "Heliolisk Collar: Data input complete!"

"Yeah! Looking good, Litten!" Ash grinned. "Pika!/Char!" Pikachu and Chimchar agreed. Still, the praise didn't lift Litten's spirits one bit.

Cabba gave the Fire Cat Pokemon a sympathetic look. "Still upset about what happened earlier?" Litten just hissed and turned his head away.

Nurse Joy turned to Ash. "All right, you're next, Ash. Litten isn't the only one who got hurt."

Both the boys and their partners took a look at Ash's arms since he carried Litten all the way to the Pokemon Center. "You're right...Check out the scratches. Whoa..." Ash even said.

While the boys were distracted, Litten quickly grabbed the Sitrus Berry in his mouth and left the examination room. Everyone saw this and gasped. "Litten, come back!" Cabba called out.

Cabba, Ash, Pikachu, Chimchar, and Nurse Joy followed the cat out of the room. "Ash! Cabba! Try to make sure Litten doesn't overdo it!" Nurse Joy told the boys.

"Right!" They both called out before Pikachu and Chimchar called for Litten to come back. The chase continued on as Litten dashed out of the entrance to the Pokemon Center just as Kiawe and Charizard started to come in.

"Coming through, Kiawe!" Ash called out, still running alongside Cabba, Pikachu, and Chimchar, passing the Fire-Type Trainer.

"All that for a croquette sandwich? I didn't even picture Cabba being the kind of guy to get back at anyone even if he got his whole lunch stolen." Kiawe was puzzled. Charizard even let out a puzzled growl, not understanding what was going on himself.

Ash and Cabba kept chasing after Litten to try and stop him from getting hurt further.

"Come on, Litten! Stop!" Ash called out. "Pika!" Pikachu also tried to plead.

Seeing the boys and their partner Pokemon, however, made Litten more annoyed. He tried to escape through a fence that he thought he could fit through, but the collar got caught in the fence. The impact made Litten drop the Sitrus Berry and yowl in pain before tumbling backwards just as Ash and Cabba caught up.

Ash even got Litten in a firm grip. "Will you listen to me please? From now on, no more running away! Not doing what you're told is only hurting you!" Ash snapped.

Litten noticed the serious look on Ash's face before turning to Cabba and Chimchar. "You need to recover first, Litten. Once you get your full strength back, then we'll let you go so you can do whatever you want to do." Cabba even advised with a serious look.

"Chim Chimchar." Chimchar spoke softly to his fellow Fire-Type. Seeing no way out this, Litten scoffed, finally giving in as the boys took him back to Professor Kukui's place.

They got Litten back to Professor Kukui's place, and safe to say that the professor wasn't expecting a guest like Litten.

"So...the two of you brought that Litten here?" Professor Kukui asked after they explained Litten's story.

"Well, it's just for tonight." Ash replied. "So would it be too much to ask?"

"Litten looks to be in rough shape, but so do you, Ash." Professor Kukui noticed the scratches on Ash's arms.

"You mean these? No big deal." Ash grinned.

Cabba kept looking out the window. The Saiyan looked kinda worried about something. Litten noticed the look and he tilted his head a little.

Chimchar noticed the look as well, so he got on Cabba's shoulder and tapped him on the cheek. "Char Chimchar?"

Cabba looked at the Fire-Type, and smiled a little with his eyes closed. "It's nothing."

After that, they had dinner. Now they were getting ready for bed. Ash, Cabba, and their Pokemon looked over at Litten and noticed that he was trying to take the Heliolisk Collar off of himself.

The Saiyan went over to the fire cat. "Settle down, Litten. If the Heliolisk Collar's bothering you that much, I'll take it off for you, just don't lick your wounds." Cabba took the collar off the Fire-Type, much to Litten's relief.

Ash watched with a smile on his face. "How's that?" Litten moved around a little and gave the two boys a meow of confirmation.

Cabba smiled and held Litten in his arms. "I'm glad to see you're doing okay. Just try to take it easy for now."

Ash tried speaking to the Fire Cat Pokemon next. "Look, I don't know what's been going on with you, but...I wish you could trust us a little bit more. Hey, I think you're awesome! The lady at the market's your friend, and you've got other friends cheering for you, too." He chuckled when a memory of his first encounter with Litten came to him. "And your Ember attack...I really felt that."

Cabba looked and noticed that Litten, and even Pikachu and Chimchar were now asleep. Seeing the three sleeping Pokemon made him chuckle a bit. "Sound asleep, eh?" He looked over at his friend/roommate. "It's been a long day. We should get some sleep as well."

Ash nodded. "You're right. Good night."

"Sleep tight." Cabba said. With that the two of them followed the Pokemon's lead and went to bed.

Later, everyone in the house was sound asleep...but Litten got up and glanced at Ash, Cabba, Pikachu, and Chimchar. After glancing, Litten got off Cabba's lap, grabbed the Sitrus Berry from the desk and went to the door, trying to get out. That got both Ash and Pikachu up a bit. "Huh?/Pika." Ash got up and walked over to where he heard the noise, even unknowingly stepping on Cabba as he did, waking the Saiyan up. "Yeah, yeah. I'll open it up in a second." Ash opened the door, letting Litten run away.

Cabba sat up and rubbed his eyes a little. "Ash, who are you talking to?"

Suddenly, all four of them realized what just happened. "What did I do?" Ash even asked.

"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed.

Cabba got up to his feet. "He shouldn't be moving around that much with all of those injuries. Let's go find him quickly."

Chimchar nodded. "Chim!"

And so, Ash, Pikachu, Cabba, Chimchar, and even Rotom-Dex were out at night chasing after Litten.

"Where's Litten going?" Ash asked.

"Data is incomplete. Litten's full recovery requires lots of sleep and the absence of stress and strain." Rotom buzzed.

Chimchar noticed that Cabba had a hand over his eyes for some reason. "Chimchar?"

Ash looked back and noticed the same thing the Chimp Pokemon did, but he also noticed that Cabba looked nervous for some reason. "Hey, Cabba are you okay? You seem nervous about something. What's wrong?"

Cabba shrugged with a nervous smile. "Nothing! Well..it's something, but..." He looked and saw Litten running into the forest, so he grabbed Ash's wrist and continued on ahead. "...I'll tell you later. We've still got an injured Pokemon to help."

It wasn't long until Litten made it back to the abandoned mansion. He went inside to give Stoutland the berry.

With the Normal-Type was also Xandra and Muddy. "Litten, where have you been?" Xandra even asked, but she also noticed the bandages on Litten. "You got into a bit of a fight didn't you?"

Litten nodded, a little guilty about making them worry. He dropped the Sitrus Berry in front of Stoutland. The Big Hearted Pokemon smiled under all the fur before munching down on the berry.

Muddy had a berry of his own and offered it to Litten. "Mudkip?" But Litten shook his head and pushed the berry back to the Water-Type.

Xandra smiled as she watched the Pokemon happily eat. However, as the Pokemon were eating, they heard the sound of some footsteps. They turned around and saw that Ash, Cabba, Pikachu, Chimchar, and Rotom-Dex were standing at the front door.

Xandra blinked in surprise. "Ash? Cabba?" Litten gave off a warning hiss.

"Pika Pika Pika." Pikachu tried to calm the Fire-Type down.

Ash and Cabba were surprised to see their classmate as well. "Xandra? What are you doing here?" The Saiyan looked over at Stoutland. "And who's that Pokemon?"

"A Stoutland." Ash answered.

"And getting on in years, I'd say." Rotom added.

"What's going on here?" Cabba asked.

Xandra sighed and stood up. "I think it's time you know the true reason Litten stole from you." She gently rubbed Litten's head to calm him down. "You see, Stoutland can hardly move because of the years passing by, so Litten wanted to help him by stealing food from people and Pokemon and bring them to Stoutland."

Ash's eyes widened in realization. "So, Litten's been stealing or taking food to feed it to Stoutland?"

Xandra nodded. "That's correct. You see Ash, I had a similar reaction you had when Litten took your sandwich."

"What happened?" Cabba asked.

"Let's just say, I wasn't gonna let it slide, so I chased after Litten." Xandra grinned as she began to explain.

Flashback, two years ago:

Litten ran into the forest with an apple in his mouth.

Xandra came jumping out of a bush looking for Litten. "Litten! I saw you run this way, come on out and give me back my snack!"

"Mud Mudkip!" Muddy pointed his head fin to where he saw Litten.

Xandra looked just as Litten ran inside the old mansion. "There you are, cat burglar! Come on, Muddy!" They ran inside after Litten.

Once she and Muddy ran inside the mansion, Xandra's anger melted away when she saw Litten give the apple to Stoutland. "A Stoutland?" She got a closer look at the Stoutland, despite the warning hiss from Litten. Her eyes widened. "An elderly Stoutland."

Muddy blinked. "Kip?"

Litten still hissed at the two of them. "Stout." Until Stoutland told him to stand down, seeing that the girl and her Mudkip were not a threat. He even turned to Xandra and offered the apple back to her.

However, Xandra just smiled, closed her eyes, and shook her head. "It's okay, you can have it." That got Litten to meow in confusion. In fact, an idea came to the Poni Island girl. "In fact, you two just wait here. Come on, Muddy."

Muddy nodded. "Mudkip!" The two of them ran off to do something.

Flashback end:

"Muddy and I came back and offered both Stoutland and Litten some more food than the apple Litten took from me. Ever since that encounter two years ago, Muddy and I have been meeting both Stoutland and Litten here in secret, bringing some tasty stuff for Stoutland to munch on." Xandra explained to her classmates.

Ash turned to the elderly Big Hearted Pokemon. "I get it...I guess this means your dinner's a little late. Sorry, Stoutland."

"So, what happened?" Xandra asked.

"Earlier today, we saw that Litten was in the middle of a fight with an Alolan Persian. After we helped chase Persian away, Ash, Rotom, Pikachu, Chimchar and I took him back to Professor Kukui's house in order to rest." Cabba answered.

Ash turned to Litten. "Litten, I was hoping I could catch you so you'd be on my team. But now that I see what you're doing, and with Xandra explaining it as well, it was a bad plan."

Cabba smiled down at the two Pokemon, but he frowned a little when he looked outside. "It's getting pretty later, we should probably return home." He surprised himself when he called Professor Kukui's house 'home', but he was more worried about something else.

Ash nodded. "Yeah, Professor Kukui might get worried." Both Pikachu and Chimchar also agreed.

Xandra stretched a little. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Muddy and I should be heading back ourselves." She turned to Litten and Stoutland. "We'll see you two tomorrow." Muddy happily nodded.

"Same with us, and next time we'll bring some food for you." Ash turned to the Fire Cat Pokemon. "We can visit like Xandra and Muddy do, can't we Litten?"

Before an answer could be given, Litten turned away and hissed again. Pikachu, Chimchar, and Muddy had the same feeling Litten had and glared at where an enemy could be. Even Stoutland was alert to a foe.

Ash took a step back. "What's going on?"

"It appears there's something approaching." Rotom answered.

Both Cabba and Xandra looked serious. "You got that right, Rotom." Xandra looked up. "Come down here and face us!" She yelled at the foe.

Jumping down from the ledge, everyone saw that the foe was the Alolan Persian Litten was facing earlier.

Cabba recognized the Pokemon right away. "It's the Persian we saw earlier!"

Ash saw that Persian was getting ready to use an attack called Power Gem. "Quick, let's get outside."

They managed to get out, but the Rock-Type attack stopped Pikachu and Chimchar in their tracks. "Pika!/Char!"

"Such persistence! There's no doubt Persian's here for revenge!" Rotom buzzed.

"Yeah, that's the thing about Alolan Persians, they can hold a grudge against anyone who messes with them." Xandra added.

"Mud!" Muddy got ready to battle. Litten hissed and Stoutland growled.

"Take it easy." Cabba advised the Pokemon, once again shielding his eyes from the night sky.

"Pikachu!/Chimchar!" Pikachu and Chimchar were ready to fight as well.

"Why don't you give up?" Ash asked Persian.

"So, what's it going to be?" Xandra challenged the Dark-Type. "Are we going to do this quietly, or do you want to do this the hard way?"

Persian circled around them before finally making for an attack. The trainers countered with their own attacks.

"'Kay! Now, Thunderbolt!" Ash yelled.

"Chimchar, use your Ember attack!" Cabba yelled.

"Soak him good, Muddy! Use Water Gun!" Xandra yelled. The four Pokemon attacked with a Thunderbolt, two Embers, and a Water Gun.

Persian was fast enough to avoid the attacks before going right for Ash and Stoutland who yelped and moved out of the way.

"Stay away from them!" Cabba turned to his partner. "Quick, Chimchar! Use Flame Wheel!" Chimchar nodded and rolled over to Persian with Flame Wheel, but the Classy Cat Pokemon fired another Power Gem that knocked Chimchar against Cabba, knocking them both to the ground.

Persian walked over to the two of them. Litten fired another Ember, but Persian easily smacked it away.

"Stout! Stoutland!" Stoutland encouraged Litten who charged up more power for another Ember.

Xandra saw this and joined in. "You can do it, Litten! Show that mean feline who's the top cat!" Muddy jumped with a cheer of his own. "Mudkip!"

Litten fired another Ember, one that was stronger than the last one at a scared Persian. The attack hit, making him scream out in pain.

Seeing the expression on the Classy Cat Pokemon's face made Chimchar laugh out loud, making him fall off his Saiyan trainer who opened his eyes and looked up at the sky...more specifically the full moon.

Hearing the laugh, made Persian hiss in extreme anger, so he turned and ran over to Cabba and Chimchar.

Ash gasped after seeing that. "Cabba, Chimchar, look out!"

Chimchar saw Persian coming and got ready to fight. Persian jumped and was ready to use Fury Swipes. Just as he was about to attack...a deep monster-like roar was suddenly heard, making the Dark-Type stop his attack, even after landing.

The others were surprised by the roar themselves. "Uh, what was that?" Ash asked, sweating a little.

"Could there be another Pokemon coming this way?" Rotom asked, looking nervous himself.

Xandra looked around. "I hope not, that annoying Persian's bad enough." It wasn't long until they heard the sound of large heartbeats.

Pikachu and Muddy looked around to find where the heartbeats were coming from. When they found the source, their eyes widened in surprise. "Pika!?/Mudkip!?"

Xandra and Ash turned to the two Pokemon. "What is it?" The former even asked them.

"Stout!" The two turned to see Stoutland nodding his head over to Cabba. "Stoutland! Stoutland!"

Ash blinked. "Cabba?" He and Xandra, along with Pikachu, Litten, Rotom, and Muddy ran over to their Saiyan friend...only to gasp and step back along with Chimchar and Persian.

They were shocked because Cabba's pupils were now pink as he kept looking up at the full moon, his body was spasming out with each heartbeat.

"Hey, what's going on!?" Ash asked, shaking a bit.

"I have no idea, but I don't think it's gonna be good!" Xandra replied.

"F-F-Funny, I don't have any data on Cabba having fangs before!" Rotom buzzed. They looked at Cabba again and noticed the fangs growing.

That wasn't the end of it. It wasn't long until Cabba began to grow in size. His clothes stretched out while he grew, brown fur began to grow all over his body, his mouth and nose formed into a snout, and his eyes turned blood red.

Ash, Xandra, Rotom, and even some of the Pokemon screamed and held on to each other when they saw that Cabba has mysteriously turned into a gigantic Ape who stood up, threw his fists into the air, and gave off another loud roar.

It was scary enough for Persian, that he quickly bolted out of the area.

The giant Ape stomped around, destroyed a bunch of trees, and even fired off powerful beams from his mouth. "Cabba! What are you doing!?" The Ape was too busy rampaging to give off a reply. He was going so crazy that they had to move out of the way with Xandra carrying Stoutland.

"This is crazy! Is this the true power of the Saiyans!?" Xandra asked. She couldn't take her eyes off her Ape friend who was still on a blind rampage.

"How could something like this happen!?" Rotom asked.

Ash was thinking what might've happened that caused their friend to transform like this, that's when it hit him. "Of course! That's why he looked nervous when we were following Litten!"

The others turned to the Kanto trainer in confusion. Litten even gave off a confused meow. "What do you mean?" Xandra asked.

"While we were chasing after Litten after he left Professor Kukui's house, Cabba kept shielding his eyes from the sky and he looked pretty nervous about something!" Ash explained.

Rotom-Dex had a feeling where Ash was going with this. "Of course! Cabba must've known that there was a 80.7% chance of him transforming into this giant Ape monster! That's why he wanted to be quick about trying to get Litten back inside!"

Xandra looked back at Ape Cabba. "Still, the night time couldn't have done this alone. Something about tonight must've caused Cabba to change into this giant killer Ape, but what?"

Chimchar thought back to the fight with Persian earlier, the moves used, being knocked over, and with a good chance of looking up at something in the night sky. When it came to him, he gasped. "Char! Chimchar Char Char! Chim! Chim!" He pointed up to get the others to look as well.

"The full moon!" Xandra, Ash, and Rotom exclaimed together.

"He changed when he took a look at the full moon!" Ash said in realization. "Pi Pikachu!" Pikachu added.

Xandra looked back and saw that Cabba was now wrecking the abandoned mansion Litten and Stoutland called home. "Oh no! He's destroying Stoutland and Litten's home! We've gotta change Cabba back to normal before he does anymore damage!" Muddy agreed right away. "Mud Mudkip!" Litten gave off a determined meow.

Ash shrugged helplessly. "But how do we do that? If we get anywhere near him, he could kill us!"

Rotom gave off a ding. "I think I have the solution!" He waited until they turned to face him before he continued. "Since it was the moon that caused this dangerous transformation, then there's a 70.5% chance that he can change back if we just block the moon!"

Xandra just gave the Rotom-Dex an annoyed look. "It's the middle of night, genius! How are we supposed to block the moon at this time?"

"Stout..." Stoutland looked back at his now ruined home, but then he gave off a determined growl. He charged up some power, catching everyone's attention.

"Stoutland?" Xandra asked in confusion.

As the Big Hearted Pokemon kept charging power, they heard something pretty big coming to them. They looked...and screamed when they saw Cabba stomping their way. "He's coming out way!" Ash yelled. Pikachu and Chimchar held each other while Muddy and Litten stood close to each other.

Just as Cabba got close enough to reach down and grab them, Stoutland unleashed a blinding move. It brightened up the whole forest and even made the giant Ape stop in his tracks, roaring and growling.

"What did Stoutland do?" Xandra shielded her eyes from the blinding light.

Rotom-Dex recognized the move. "He used Sunny Day! A move that powers up Fire-Type attacks, yet weakens Water-Type attacks! Stoutland's trying to use it to help Cabba!"

Ash looked up at the giant Ape and was surprised and relieved. "It's working! Cabba's shrinking!" The others looked to see that Cabba was changing back to his normal self. Soon they looked down at the unconscious form of their Saiyan friend, making them sigh in relief. "That was close." Ash even said. "Pikachu." Pikachu slumped in agreement.

Chimchar walked over and patted his sleeping trainer on the head.

Xandra looked over at where the abandoned mansion used to be and couldn't help but cringe a little. "Ooh, sorry about your home, Stoutland." She apologized to the elderly Pokemon she was carrying.

"Stout Stout." Stoutland patted the girl on the head, assuring her that it's okay.

Ash grunted, but managed to be able to carry his sleeping friend on his back. "Despite what just happened, that Ember was great!" He commented Litten who meowed in gratitude.

"It really was, looks like Stoutland's training is finally paying off." Xandra grinned, but she frowned when she took a look at Cabba. "Still, that transformation sure was unexpected. When he wakes up, I'd like to ask him about that and why he never told us about this before."

"Same." Ash agreed. "But for now, let's just be glad we're still in one piece."

Xandra sighed as she placed Stoutland down to pick Muddy up. "You're right. We should probably get back to our homes before the sun rises."

"Yeah, Pikachu, Chimchar, Rotom, and I will make sure Cabba gets back home before anything else happens." Ash began to leave with Rotom, Pikachu, and Chimchar.

Xandra gave them a wave. "See ya later, Ash!" As she flew a little off the ground, she looked down at Litten and Stoutland and frowned a bit. "On the other hand..."

Muddy looked up at his trainer and tilted his head. "Mud?"

The next day, Ash and Cabba were carrying bags full of berries back into the forest. Earlier, Ash asked Cabba about what happened to him last night. The Saiyan looked down, and kindly asked Ash to wait until they were in the Pokemon School to explain so that their other classmates could be there when he explains the mysterious transformation. Ash and the Pokemon kindly agreed to that.

After looking around the forest to find Litten, they went back to the market. Right now they were talking to the elderly lady from before. "I see. So that's what happened." She said after the boys told them most of what happened.

Cabba looked down in guilt. "I feel like this is my fault. My actions might have caused Litten to leave." Chimchar gently patted his trainer on the leg.

Ash looked down as well. "No, it must've been something bad that I did."

The lady gave them both a gentle smile. "Pokemon are Pokemon and people are people. One being's world isn't exactly the same as the other's, so don't go blaming yourselves." When they turned to look at her, she continued. "Litten's living under the same Alolan sky as you two." She placed a plate of a fruit she was peeling down. "I'm sure Litten's doing just fine." Just after she said that, Litten came and approached the berry.

"Litten!" Ash said, making the Fire Cat Pokemon jump.

"What do you know?" Rotom buzzed.

Cabba smiled gently at the Pokemon. "Good to see you again."

"What did I tell you?" the shop keeper turned to the Fire Cat Pokemon. "Dear Litten, I heard you moved!"

Litten meowed before turning to the two boys, mainly Ash.

Cabba smiled nervously. The Saiyan thought Litten might not want to be near him after last night's transformation.

If that was the case, Litten didn't show it. Instead, he picked up the peeled berry and ran off. "Hey, Litten!" Ash called to the Fire-Type.

As they watched Litten leave with the berry, Cabba smiled and nodded while rubbing the top of Chimchar's head. "You know, something tells me that we'll see him and Stoutland again. After all, they're Xandra's friends, aren't they?"

Ash smiled as well. "Yeah, you're right. We'll see them again soon."

Their Pokemon partners happily nodded in agreement. "Pika!/Char!"

The chance meeting with Litten, the Fire Cat Pokemon, caused a couple of secrets to be revealed as well. Still, Litten and Ash, where do they go from here? What was that mysterious transformation Cabba went through during the battle with Persian? And where could they possibly find the next Dragon Ball?
