Chapter 30: Hiddenville XXX

Summary: Max gets revenge, midterms are hell, and the gang celebrates Christmas

"What are you so focused on?" asked Colosso as he watched Max frantically type on his supercomputer. The boy had been distracted for the last week clearly looking for something.

"I'm looking for somebody" muttered Max as he glared at the screen.

"Who?" wondered the rabbit.

"I owe one of Madame Web's goons a beating" declared the boy darkly.

"Why are you, a villain, trying to beat up a henchman? Shouldn't you be more interested in trying to steal them to work for you?"

"I would never allow that bastard to work for me. He is going to rue the day that he harmed what is mine" spat Max furiously.

"And what did this random henchman do?" asked Colosso, already suspecting the answer.

"He hurt Barbie"

"Yeah… that's what I thought" sighed the rabbit. This wasn't good, his boy was getting far too attached to that goody two shoes. Max was spending less and less time planning true evil and filling his chronicle, instead focusing on ways to flirt with that stupid girl. Without the rabbit noticing Max had slid firmly into "Antihero" territory instead of true villainy.

A loud shout came from Max as he finally found what he had been looking for. Pulling out his cell phone he called his twin. "Phoebe, I found the sick son of a bitch who stabbed Mia. I'm off to give him a piece of my mind… you want in?"

"Of course! Let me change into my uniform and we'll go make that asshole pay" declared his sister furiously.

Hanging up, Max changed into his Dark Knight outfit before collecting several of his most vicious weapon creations. Jacob Cross was going to regret the day that he hurt Max's girl.

"Well… that was something" remarked Phoebe with a faintly green hue on her face as she studied the slightly smoking and groaning body at their feet.

"He deserved it for hurting Barbie, if we hadn't found her when we did, who knows what could have happened. He's lucky I'm leaving him alive at all" spat Max as he glared daggers at the groaning henchman.

"Well I called the cops so they are on their way. Let's tie him up and get out of here before they arrive".

Max crouched down next to the tattooed henchman and forced him to look into his eyes. "Remember this night Jacob Cross the next time you decide to hurt what is mine". He roughly tied the man's feet together and his hands behind his back.

"Remember that Rainbow is safe now" comforted Phoebe as she gave her twin a rare hug. "You've made sure he can't escape and he will be going away for a long long time with all of the crime evidence you collected and leaked to the cops".

Max nodded and allowed himself a brief moment to relax fully into his sister's embrace, trusting her to support them both. The hard part was over… Barbie was now safe from this man. She didn't know it yet, but Max swore to himself that he would always be there to have her back and make sure something like this wouldn't happen again. Even though he had only known the brightly haired hero for a short period of time there was something about her that called to him on a deep level. He didn't want to find out what he would do if something took her from him… he imagined that it would involve the world burning by his hand, and spying at the hard look on Phoebe's face he didn't think it would be too hard to convince his sister to help him either. Really it was for the good of the world that Madame Danger stayed safe.

Saturday nights were always fun for Amelia as she and the girls would get a table at Splatburger and cheer on their friends as they played their weekly gig. The free food was an awesome perk, but the best part was watching how the boys came alive while playing. The quartet were so passionate about their music and clearly loved to perform.

The group was chilling in their normal booth as the boys rested between sets.

"I am sooo looking forward to winter break!" sighed Cherry, dropping her head onto the table tiredly. "All of this studying is melting my brain".

"Don't worry bestie. Exams will be over before you know it" comforted Phoebe stroking her friend's hair.

"Ugh, don't even mention those. I could do without ever taking another test again" whined Oyster.

"Well, come Wednesday we will be free for two whole weeks!" exclaimed Mia excitedly. "I am so excited for you all to meet my family"

"I can't wait to see them again, but we better get back on stage boys… J.J. is starting to look antsy"

Glancing over at the manager, the group noted that the man indeed looked anxious for them to start playing again.

Mia and the girls moved towards the stage so that they could have a front row view of the performance and have room to dance.

"Ladies and gentleman, you all have been such a great crowd for us tonight. Thank you all for your support of Antihero, we are so grateful for every last one of you and your support. We have a few final songs to play before we say goodnight. This next song is one near and dear to my heart… it's called: Had Me at Hello," announced Max.

Mia whistled and cheered along with the crowd as Wolfgang counted the group in.

"I can feel you comin' from a mile away. My pulse starts racing from the words that you say. And you say so many of them like you don't have a clue. That I'm signed, sealed, delivered with a stamp on you" crooned Max as the group played an upbeat melody.

Amelia danced happily with Kelsey. This wasn't a song she had ever heard the band practice before… and it might just be her imagination but everytime she looked at Max his eyes were fixed on her. Was he singing this about her?

Mia blushed at the knowing looks her friends were throwing her way.

Don't say, don't say goodnight you know. You had me at hello" finished Max, locking eyes with Mia and shooting her a giant grin as the crowd loudly cheered for the band.

All of Mia's friends were hanging out at Gideon's house in the basement on Sunday night for a last minute study session before Midterms started the next day. Kelsey was lying on the floor switching between two notebooks and her history textbook while using a truly insane number of highlighters. It made no sense to her friends, but she swore she had a system. Cherry and Phoebe were taking turns quizzing each other for their science midterm using flashcards. Oyster and Wolfgang were sitting suspiciously close on the couch with the German boy almost in the bassist's lap as they reviewed their outlines for their timed English Essays. Mia was against one of the walls reviewing Spanish vocab with Max whose head was laying on her lap.

Gideon, apparently fed up with calculus, threw his hands up in the hair while shouting, "That's it, I need a snack. M.J? Come help me carry up some drinks and snacks".

"Sure Gid!" agreed Mia, pushing a protesting Max off her and instructing him to keep reviewing while she was gone. A few of their friends called out snack requests as the pair headed upstairs to the kitchen.

Gideon quickly pulled out several bags of chips and sweets from the pantry as Mia grabbed a stack of solo cups and a couple bottles of pop from the fridge.

"Hey M? I don't mean to overstep and if I do… Please tell me to just shut up. But you're important to me and I'm worried about you" said Gideon hesitantly as they made their way back to the others.

"Ok, that's not ominous at all. What's up?" asked Mia nervously. As far as she knew, she hadn't done anything too obvious to tip off the others that she was from the future.

"Look Amelia, the guys and I all have kept quiet about the fact that you live alone in a mansion on the edge of town. At first it was because we didn't know you that well and didn't feel like it was ok for us to ask… but MJ… are you ok? I mean you talk about your family being only other teenagers who you have told us don't exactly come from happy homes. I mean clearly you guys have sorted things financially at the moment, and Henry, Charlotte and Jasper are 18 or will be soon… but you're not yet 17".

"What are you trying to ask Gideon?" sighed Mia.

"Are your parents dead? Or should we be looking out for someone coming after you?" rushed out the boy, before awkwardly looking like he wanted to take it all back. "I mean you mean so much to us all and we would hate to lose you. I just want to make sure you know that we all have your back, whatever you might need".

Mia paused for a moment, trying to figure out the best way to phrase her response. "Firstly, you might be overstepping a little, but I appreciate that it comes from a place of love. I know it must be confusing to you all that I haven't talked about this. Secondly… no. My situation is different than yours, my parents aren't dead as far as I know. They are not good people though so I ran away when I was 15. They never cared to report me missing, so I don't think that you have to worry about anyone coming after me for the next year and two months. Once I'm legal it won't be a problem anyway". In her alternate future Mia had left at this time to go to Dystopia originally, so she wasn't actually sure if her parents had eventually tried to track her down. She didn't think that they would do so given their previous behaviors.

"I'm so sorry Mia" replied Gideon, his eyes big and sad as they looked at her.

"It is what it is, Giddy. And as you said, I have a new family now… not just Hen, Char, Jasp and Piper, but all of you as well. I am so lucky to be able to count you as my friends.

The Christmas Bug had bit the students of Hiddenville High. The halls were decked out in brightly colored lights and paper snowflakes. Students had wrapped their lockers in wrapping paper to get into the festive spirit. Mia and the boys had hidden several wireless speakers in the roof panels in various hallways set to play the local christmas music station twenty four seven. Even Principal Bradford's grinchlike behavior wasn't enough to dim the student's excitement.

Amelia, who after a week of rest enforced by her friends, was feeling good as new. With the help of Jasper's healing remedies and detailed instructions, her wounds had healed and the stitches, which had been done with emergency dissolvable dental floss, had officially disappeared. She had finally convinced her friends to let her carry her own things again on Tuesday when she pulled Cherry and Kelsey into the bathroom to show them her uninjured side. The girls managed to talk the boys down for the most part, but they still tended to hover in the background ready to step in the minute she showed any possible sign of discomfort. How their behavior had been missed by the Thundertwins was truly unbelievable, their lack of situational awareness was horrifying.

"So are we still on to party at your place tomorrow, Mia?" asked Cherry, linking her arm through Mia's.

"Yeah, I'm ready to get my dance on," chuckled Kelsey as she appeared on Mia's other side.

"Of course we're still on," agreed Mia. "Also not to brag but I'm pretty sure I've got the absolute best present for my secret santa"

"No way M.J!" protested Oyster, falling in time behind the trio with Gideon and Wolfgang. "My present is totally Sweetches".

"Nuh uh. My present is going to be the best" argued Gideon, flipping his hair out of his eyes. It had gotten too long recently and he was in desperate need of a cut.

"Mein Geschenk wird so viel besser sein als alle deine" 1 bragged Wolfgang.

"No way Wolfie, I've definitely got you beat" winked Oyster, throwing an arm around the shorter boy. Wolfgang blushed bright red under the taller boy's arm. Besides Mia, Oyster was the person who best understood the foreign exchange student. The boy had put in the work and quickly learned German for their new friend.

The group arrived at their lockers where the Thunder twins were waiting for them. Everyone quickly packed up their bags and bundled up before heading out into the carpark.

"See you girls tomorrow" waved Mia as Cherry and Kelsey split off to their cars. "Wolfgang, Gideon, do you have a ride to Max's?"

"They're riding with me," grinned Oyster.

"And we have the van today, since we have to pick up the littles" said Phoebe.

"You guys know where the key is, let yourself in and I'll not be far behind" said Max as they all split up to their various cars.

Mia was laying on Max's bed flipping through Max's master songbook as the group practiced for their gig next Saturday.

"You guys sound great" she cheered as they finished their latest song.

"Ja, wir müssen nur sicherstellen, dass wir auf dieser Brücke zusammenbleiben" 2 agreed Wolfgang.

"Yeah, that bridge is tricky… but we'll get it by our next gig," encouraged Oyster, shooting Wolfgang a charming crooked grin.

"You bet, you are going to Rock Splatburger! Plus now you guys have demos to give out, I bet that'll help get you even more traffic" remarked Mia pointing to the box of CDs and QR code papers sitting by the bed.

"I'm so glad you talked us into uploading our music to Spotify, Mia. Our songs are reaching so many new fans. Plus that website you and Wolfgang put together totally slaps".

"Well AntiHero deserves all the attention it's getting. Y'all are awesome!" grinned Mia.

"You know what would be fun?" asked Gideon as the group took a water break.

"What?" asked Max.

"If we did Karaoke tomorrow at the Christmas Party!"

"Oh my god I love Karaoke!" squealed Mia excitedly. "I am SO in!"

"M.J. you sing?" asked Oyster.

"A bit, nothing official like you guys" shrugged Mia. "Mostly just to the radio or stuff I write myself"

"How did I not know you were a song writer too?" asked Max in shock.

"Well you all never asked… plus it's not really stuff I show people… kinda personal and all" said Mia.

"Do you have any songs on you? Could you sing one?" asked Gideon

"Yeah, I'm sure it's totally sweetches" encouraged Oyster.

"Bitte Amelia" 3 pouted Wolfgang, his dark eyes wide and sweet.

Her resolve held until Max smiled encouragingly at her and said, "Really M, I would love to hear something you wrote".

Ugh, he was her weak point in all things it appeared.

"Fine…" reluctantly Amelia pulled her pink journal out of her backpack and stepped over to the piano Gideon readily offered. "This is called Catching My Breath. I hope you like it".

"I don't wanna be left behind. Distance was a friend of mine. Catching breath in a web of lies. I've spent most of my life. Riding waves, playing acrobat. Shadowboxing the other half. Learning how to react. I've spent most of my time" sang Mia, around her the boys looked stunned.

"Catching my breath, letting it go. Turning my cheek for the sake of the show. Now that you know, this is my life. I won't be told what's supposed to be right" she sang. "Catch my breath, no one can hold me back. I ain't got time for that. Catch my breath, won't let them get me down. It's all so simple now"

Wolfgang and Gideon began to dance along as she began the second verse.

"Addicted to the love I found. Heavy heart, now a weightless cloud. Making time for the ones that count. I'll spend the rest of my time. Laughing hard with the windows down. Leaving footprints all over town. Keeping faith, karma comes around. I will spend the rest of my life"

Oyster and Max both joined in on their guitars playing along with the melody of the chorus.

"Catching my breath, letting it go. Turning my cheek for the sake of the show. Now that you know, this is my life. I won't be told what's supposed to be right! Catch my breath, no one can hold me back. I ain't got time for that. Catch my breath, won't let them get me down. It's all so simple now".

Taking a deep breath she hit the bridge and signaled for the boys to stop playing and sang "You helped me see… The beauty… in everything!"

Wolfgang and Gideon jumped in to lend their own voices as well.

"M, that was so good!" cheered Gideon

"I told you you'd be sweetches M.J."

"Tolles Lied, Mia" 4 complimented Wolfgang

Mia turned her gaze to the one person who she was most nervous for their response. She needn't have feared as Max had a huge grin on his face as he pulled her into a hug saying "It's official you somehow became more awesome than you were before, Princess. I don't know how that is possible. You've got to sing with us sometime".

"Maybe…" said Mia hesitantly. She hadn't sung in public willingly since before everything that happened to her Dystopia. Still it might be fun to reclaim that bit of herself, though it could also be potentially very traumatizing to perform in a clublike space. She would have to make sure that Henry, Charlotte or Jasper were around when she did so in case things went wrong.

The band ended up practicing a couple more songs before calling it quits for the evening; as they all still had homework to do before the last day of classes tomorrow. Waving goodbye to her friends, Mia hopped in her car and drove home to do some final party decorating and call her Swellview family.

Five minutes after the final bell rang at Hiddenville High on Wednesday afternoon the school was deserted. Mia and her friends had quickly grabbed their things before hightailing it over to her house.

Mia had made up a variety of festive treats such as rice crispy wreaths, snowflake cupcakes, a winter popcorn mix and a delicious sparkling cranberry punch. She had set up a hot chocolate bar and a 'decorate your own sugar cookie' station. Amelia decorated the main floor with white and blue streamers, hung white fairy lights and taped paper snowflakes to the windows and walls creating a winter wonderland.

The friends had so much fun playing games and relaxing after the last couple days of midterms. While playing Twister, Oyster and Wolfgang ended up tangled together, nose to nose causing both boys to blush darkly. Mia showed off her flexibility easily beating Cherry and coming in a close second to Phoebe. Kelsey and Gideon dominated in Just Dance surprising no one. Max's engineering skills had him score far above everyone else in the gingerbread house competition, especially poor Phoebe and Oyster's who's houses kept caving in.

Several fierce and competitive games of Uno were played before Mia busted out her Karaoke machine and the group took turns singing different holiday classics. Kelsey and Cherry dueted a fast paced Jingle Bells and Phoebe soloed Winter Wonderland. The band did a rock version of the 12 Days of Christmas that had everyone singing along. Wolfgang sang Silent Night for the group in German. Mia and Max dueted Baby It's Cold Outside while Cherry filmed them with a knowing smirk. Phoebe, Kelsey, Mia and Cherry sang Rocking Around the Christmas Tree, and Gideon busted out a great Mariah Carey "All I Want for Christmas is You" impression.

As the clock struck nine, causing the grandfather clock in the hall to loudly chime, Mia declared that it was time for presents! The group agreed to draw straws to see who would go first and then whoever got a gift would give the next one. Comparing straws it was revealed that Gideon drew the short one.

Gideon pulled a box out from under the tree wrapped in pink, gold and white striped wrapping paper tied with a gorgeous bow. "Merry Christmas Amelia. I hope you like it".

Mia opened the beautifully wrapped box to find a pair of fuzzy pink socks, a bag of her favorite coffee from downtown brown and a signed copy of The Screaming Staircase. "Oh My God Gideon! I love it! How did you know?" she asked, hugging the book to her chest.

"The many lunches that you have rambled on about the Lockwood and Co. series made it a pretty solid guess" teased Gideon, but he happily accepted Mia's hug of gratitude.

"Alright my turn" declared Mia, clapping her hands together happily. She rustled under the tree through the pile of presents until she found the box she was looking for. Pulling out a rectangular box wrapped in candy cane wrapping paper. She excitedly passed it over to Oyster.

"Merry Christmas Oyster!"

"These are rockin M.J." grinned Oyster as he opened the box to find a new guitar strap embroidered with his name and decorated with puka shells. Mia had also included a silver chain on which a yellow and brown crystal hung. Beside the guitar strap and necklace was a picture frame with a picture of the friend group hanging out at Wong's on Gideon's 17th birthday. Mia had decorated the frame with a hot glue gun with seashells.

"I'm so glad you like them. I used the seashells that we gathered back in September on one of our first beach trips. Now you'll always have a little bit of the sea wherever you go. And Jasper says that that crystal is called the tiger's eye and it brings good luck and protection".

"M.J. you're going to make me cry" joked Oyster, sliding the necklace over his head to join the others that he wore. The boy swore to himself to not take it off knowing that Mia's brother was an expert when it came to magic and crystals. Standing from the couch he gave Mia a grateful hug.

Pulling away from Mia, Oyster made his way over to the tree and found the present he had brought. Passing the blue bag over to Phoebe he said, "Merry Christmas Phoebe".

"Thanks Oyster" smiled Phoebe as she opened the bag. Inside she found a sudoku book, a large light blue water bottle with a straw, and a pair of blue and white wireless headphones.

"Hopefully the headphones will allow you to keep dancing when you're on the go" explained Oyster.

"I love them" grinned the girl, hugging the guitar player before getting her gift from under the tree.

She pulled out a box wrapped in dark blue wrapping paper with white snowflakes. She passed it over to Gideon saying, "Merry Christmas!"

Gideon opened the box to find a book of piano christmas carols, a gift card to his favorite restaurant and a fuzzy gray hoodie. "Pheebs, these are awesome" remarked Gideon as he thumbed through the music book. He pulled on the gray sweater and hugged Phoebe. "I already gave my present to Mia… so who should go next?"

"I can go!" offered Kelsey. "Frohe Weihnachten!" 5 she handed her present to Wolfgang. The German boy opened his gift to find a new pair of engraved drumsticks with his initials on them, a warm red beanie and a gift card to Splatburger.

"Danke, Kelsey" 6 said Wolfgang, putting on the hat and giving Kelsey a big hug.

"Gern geschehen, Wolfgang," 7 replied the girl.

Wolfgang handed his present over to Max saying "Frohe Weihnachten!" 5.

"Danke, Buddy" 6 replied Max as he opened up his gift. Inside he found a book on computer coding, a new high quality leather notebook with Max's name embroidered on the cover, and a set of over the ear headphones.

"Wolfgang! You went all out. Danke, Danke, Danke Wolfie".

"Gern geschehen," 7 grinned Wolfgang, happily accepting Max's hug.

"We're down to the final gifts" said Max as he passed a large glittery red bag over to Cherry.

"EEE! Presents" cheered the girl, opening her gift to see what was inside. Max had placed her gifts inside a large purse that was covered in little cherries. Inside was the bath and body works Cherry Blossom set including lotion, bubble bath, and body spray as well as a gift card to Target. "This is great Max. Thank you so much!"

"I guess I am the final gift giver" grinned Cherry passing over the last present to Kelsey who was sitting on the couch beside her.

Kelsey opened the gift bag to find a hot pink tumblr with her initials on it stuffed with gift cards to Downtown Brown and Pearazon. Cherry had also included a beautiful friendship bracelet which she clipped onto her friend's wrist.

"Thanks Cher" said Kelsey, hugging her friend.

"You're welcome and Merry Christmas!"

With presents now over, the group changed into their comfy clothes to watch The Grinch. Snuggled up on the couch between Cherry and Max, Mia rested her head on the boy's chest watching the holiday comedy.

Mia had to hold in her giggles so as to not disturb the others as Max made snarky comments throughout the movie. He pretended to get overly offended when Mia compared him to the Grinch, causing her to threaten to move only for him to wrap his arms around her waist and hold her in place. Laughing Mia, laid back against him and allowed herself to enjoy this time with her friends.

All too soon the movie ended, the grandfather clock struck midnight and her friends were on their way home. Phoebe and Max offered to stay behind and help clean up which Mia gratefully accepted. The trio made quick work of the mess and soon the twins were bundling up their layers to go out and face the horrible December night chill.

Mia stood in the doorway talking quietly to Max, "Thanks for staying behind to help! I would have been up all night cleaning on my own" she joked.

"Oh? Why not just leave it for tomorrow?" asked Max

"I'm headed to Swellview for a few days tomorrow morning. Gid and Wolfie already agreed to keep an eye on the troublemakers while I'm gone" she explained, gesturing towards the living room where the cats were fast asleep, exhausted from all the attention the friends had paid them throughout the evening.

"Oh? When will you be back?" asked Max.

"Probably Saturday or Sunday. Why will you miss me?" she teased.

"Always" promised Max. "Text me when you get back though, I can't go too long without my Mia time".

"Ok, ok" laughed Amelia.

Max reached out and brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear, it had come loose from her braid over the course of the evening "Look up Amelia," Max whispered. She looked up to see something that had certainly not been there before, a sprig of mistletoe, sneaky Thunder Twins and their telekinesis!

"Mistletoe" she whispered. "Are you finally going to kiss me, Maximus Thunderman?"

Max's eyes darkened as he leaned in, "If I had my way I'd never stop kissing you, Princess"

"Then do it" dared Mia… and he did.

Max wrapped his arms around Mia's waist drawing her to him as he kissed her softly under the twinkling starlight. Mia felt like she had died and gone to heaven, as she brought her arms up to wrap around his shoulders, lost in the kiss.

"I've been wanting to do that for months," she admitted, as they broke apart.

"I've been wanting to do that since I first saw you" replied Max, "When you literally tripped and fell into my life turning it upside down".

"Well now you can kiss me anytime" grinned Mia happily. "Just not for the next few days".

"Ugh, I guess I will have to wait till I see you again"

"Fear not Thunderbolt, I'll be back before you know it" laughed Mia, pulling him in for another kiss.

Unfortunately the pair were rudely interrupted by Phoebe honking the van horn from the driveway and shouting, "Come on Max! You have all of break to make out with your girlfriend. I'm tired".

Mia giggled as Max pulled away only long enough to flip his sister off.

"Be safe in Swellview, M. That place can get rough" said Max, giving her one more hug before stepping away.

"I will. Plus I'll have Henry, Jasper and Charlotte watching my back. Though I will feel a lot better as soon as I'm back home".

"You and me both" grinned Max.

The pair were once again interrupted by Phoebe's honking.

Laughing Mia, gave him a little push down the steps. "You better go Max, before Phoebe kills us both, we're both too pretty to die".

"Too right, gorgeous. Text me when you get to Swellview?"

"Will do" promised Mia. She stood on the porch waving goodbye to her friend and her boyfriend as the pair drove off into the night.

Heading inside Mia whipped out her phone and opened her chat with Cherry.

Gossip Girls

Mia :You're never going to guess what just happened!

Cherryblossom:What?

Mia :MAX KISSED ME!

Cherryblossom:OMG CALL ME NOW! I NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING!

Mia called her friend and the two stayed up talking excitedly for the next hour.

Hanging up her phone Mia saw that she had a new message from Max:

Thunderbolt :Good night, beautiful . Sweet dreams

Princess :Goodnight Max. I'll be back before you know it

Plugging in her phone to charge Mia got ready for bed. She was so tired and overwhelmed by all that had happened during the day, that she was asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

Thursday morning dawned far too early for Amelia. Her alarm beeped obnoxiously on her side table, she was sooo tempted to hit the snooze button but she knew she had to get up and moving, if only to feed the hungry cats scratching and meowing at her door. Getting out of bed, Mia tied her fuzzy pink robe on top of her nightgown and slipped on her warm and fluffy slippers. She once again thought about how lucky she was to be living in a house with central heating in this timeline instead of in her beloved but faulty R.V.

Amelia opened the door to find Thomas and Duchess glaring grumpily up at her. "Yes, yes I know it's your breakfast time, but your food's not in here" she said, pulling her door shut behind her and ushering the furballs down to the kitchen.

Once in the kitchen Mia quickly opened two cans of cat food and placed them in the little monsters' bowls. She also filled up their water so that they would be hydrated throughout the day.

Popping one of the peppermint mocha coffee pods Oyster had brought to the party last night into the machine, Mia leaned on the counter resting her eyes as she waited for her caffeine to brew. The sweet scent of coffee filled the air, reinvigorating her body.

When her coffee finished pouring, Mia took the cup and a bowl of cereal over to the breakfast nook where her computer was sitting. Opening up Twitflash, Mia scrolled for a bit as she sipped her coffee and ate her breakfast. She stopped when a post from Swellview's news account caught her eye.

KLVY News: Breaking News- The Time Jerker has escaped from Swellview Prison and is wreaking havoc in the streets. Watch out for random items appearing out of thin air and time ray zaps.

LitLydia: Team Danger please save us. I have a date with a super hot girl and I really don't want either of us getting zapped back to the Victorian era.

Looks like her trip to Swellview was going to be a bit more exciting than she had planned. Making a note to self to pack her uniform and alert Freddy, she switched over to Chirper to see what her classmates had been posting.

Amelia quickly finished her packing and loaded up her overnight bags into her punch buggy. Taking a final look around the kitchen, Mia made sure that the note she wrote to the boys on how to care for the cats was on the counter with the cat food. Hopping in her car she cranked up the music and happily hit the road to Swellview ready to reunite with her family.
