Summary:

Actions have consequences, some harsher than others. Izuku has a talk with his class, and the reason for the mall being attacked is discovered.

Chikara was no stranger to chaos. He was a paramedic; he dealt with it constantly. Now though- he was in his element in the back of the ambulance as it raced to the nearest hospital, as it raced the UA student Izuku Midoriya to safety. He was in the trauma room with him as he explained what happened on scene, and what had to be done to save the boy's life. The trauma surgeons were giving him crazy looks.

"So, not only did you remove the bullet, have an untrained healer heal an artery, and cauterize the wounds, but you also performed a blood transfusion?" The head surgeon asked in complete disbelief.

"H-he gu-guided the f-first years," a weak voice came from the table, causing several surgeons to jump back in surprise.

"H-how is he still conscious!?" One asked as they whipped their head around to stare at him.

"I have no idea," Chikara sighed as he ran a hand down his face. This kid kept surprising him.

"Let's get these bandages off and see what we're working with." They carefully removed the bandages, but it wasn't what they were expecting. Right at that moment another person came in, saying they had his file.

"What is his quirk?" Someone asked as another took his file.

"Umm, enhanced speed and strength. Something called black whips. Float?" Chikara could tell this poor person was so confused as they looked it over.

"That's not updated," he sighed.

"What do you mean?"

"It's missing a quirk." He knew what he saw in that back room. "Emergency contacts?"

"Inko Midoriya, Shota Aizawa, and Yagi Toshinori… why does that last name sound familiar?"

There was a gasp as he turned to see the image above the boy: a flashing image of All Might.

Shota could do nothing but wait. Waiting was always the hardest part. Two of his students and one of his closest friends were in critical condition. All he could think about was how he'd found Uraraka, bleeding out in a back room- a room he wouldn't have even thought to check if Twice, of all people, hadn't led him to it. He didn't know what to think of a villain helping.

Shota looked at the waiting room around him, where most of his students were, along with a handful of first years. Needless to say, it was crowded and loud. Bakugo had refused to be treated, Shota would have to talk to him soon, and he was sitting in a corner, eyes scanning the room. Kirishima and Tetsutetsu were next to him having a lively discussion with Ashido and Kaminari. Iida and Shinso were on opposite sides of the room, staring daggers at each other.

One more thing he would have to sort out. Hagakure was sitting with Ojiro and Aoyama, and the blonde first year was glued to her side. Then there was the group from the coffee shop, and they were quiet, waiting for any news on their friends. The two first years were still wrapped in fuzzy blankets on either side of Yaoyorozu, her arms around each of them as they slept against her.

He heard footsteps and looked up to see a doctor standing there. Without a word, he got up and followed him into a private waiting room.

"First things first, with the help of Recovery Girl, we've stabilized Miss Uraraka and Miss Kayama."

Shota let out a long overdue sigh of relief. "Midoriya?"

"That's what I wanted to speak with you about." The doctor seemed nervous to him. "How much do you know about Midoriya's quirk?"

"What has the problem child done now?"

"Nothing bad, I can assure you. It's just, well. He has a self healing quirk."

"Izuku Midoriya has a self healing quirk?" He asked the doctor in utter disbelief.

"Yes, it seems minor though. Which is rather remarkable…." The rest of the doctor's words were drowned out by Shota's laughter, not because he found it funny, but because he was relived.

Katsuki heard Aizawa's laughter and was rather confused. It was cleared up rather quickly, though- when he came out and told everyone the news minutes later. Everyone was stable and Midoriya had a minor self healing quirk. For just a moment the class was silent, then several people started laughing. He watched Ponytail start crying and laughing at the same time.

"Settle down!" Aizawa's voice called out, "Detective Tsukauchi will be here shortly to take everyone's statements. After you've given your statement you will be allowed to visit them for no longer than ten minutes. Nezu wants everyone back on campus as soon as possible."

Minutes later, Katsuki found himself at a table with Aizawa and Tsukauchi, telling both men what had happened. When he got done with his retelling he leaned forward, a feral grin on his face.

"What happens to the third years?"

"What do you mean?" Aizawa raised a brow in question.

"I mean those shitty, third year, hero course students. Students with their provisional licenses, who would rather stand there, helpless, while our class and a couple of first years fought!" He watched with narrowed eyes as Aizawa wrote something down in his notebook.

"Don't worry, Bakugo. I plan on talking with Nezu about them."

Toru was fidgeting with her bracelet as Detective Tsukauchi asked her questions, all her earlier confidence as she faced the villains worn off. Now she was just exhausted as she answered. She thought of Hakari, the petite blonde who had attached herself to Toru, and didn't want to see her put back in general studies when she could do well in the hero class if she just trained more.

"What's going to happen with Hakari?"

"What do you mean?" Aizawa looked up from his notes.

"Is she going to be put back in general studies?" Toru looked up and met his eyes.

"I'll see what I can do," he smiled gently at her and let her leave.

Hitoshi could tell Aizawa instantly regretted having him and Iida give their statements at the same time. It was obvious Iida was pissed that he had been brainwashed.

"And what happened after you used your quirk on Iida?" Tsukauchi asked, and he could feel Iida's glare burn into him.

"I followed Vlad King's direct orders and got us to safety. I grabbed a few first aid kits off the walls as I led us to the nearest sporting goods store. I knew there was a better chance of finding supplies to help stabilize Midnight while we waited for help."

"Can you explain why you used your quirk on your fellow student?"

"Because if I didn't, all three of us would have died. The nomus would have killed us." Hitoshi answered without any hesitation.

Shota sighed as he closed his notebook; he had a lot to talk with Nezu about. He heard a sigh as he looked over to see Tsukauchi leaning back in his seat, head tipped back and staring at the ceiling.

"No matter how many times I deal with them, one thing is always the same. Your class is full of amazing potential. When they become heroes next year, they will be taking the hero society by storm."

"The hero society won't know what hit them." Aizawa chuckled, as he gathered up his things and stood. "I need to get them back to campus." He left the room and went to the waiting area, only to stop as he saw Hawks sitting in a chair, waiting for him. "What are you doing here?"

"Shoto demanded to come," he answered with a shrug. Shota nodded. He counted his students and came up one short.

"Where is Bakugo?" He just wanted to go home. Hawks just jerked his head down the hallway, and with a deep sigh he walked down the hall, checking in on Midoriya as he passed. Todoroki was sitting next to his bed, holding his hand, no doubt waiting for him to wake up.

He found Bakugo in the next room, sitting in a chair along the wall while a nurse berated him. Uraraka was sleeping soundly in the bed in the middle of the room.

"Bakugo!" Aizawa barked, causing the teen to straighten up and glare slightly at him. "Why are you giving the nurse trouble?"

"She keeps trying to make me leave," he crossed his arms defiantly, "I'm not leaving until she wakes up."

"I'm not trying to make you leave," the nurse growled at the teen, clearly not afraid of the explosive blond. "I just want you to get your wounds treated."

"Bakugo," Shota sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Do what the nurse says, unless you want trash duty for the rest of the year." The nurse gave him a grateful look.

"You don't even have to leave the room if you're that stubborn."

"He's that stubborn, trust me." Aizawa barked out a laugh as he left the room, finding Hawks leaning against the wall, waiting for him. "What do you want?"

"I can stay with him so he doesn't have to leave. I'm already staying with Shoto."

He sighed. "Have them back first thing tomorrow, they still have classes." He's always hated hospitals, but it was a part of his job, no matter how much he hated them.

Izuku woke to weak sunlight filtering through the half-closed blinds. Looking around he saw a head of dual colored hair spread across his lap. Gently, he twinned his fingers into the long silky locks, tugging gently.

"Mmmm," Todoroki's hand reached up and placed his scarred hand against his cheek, holding it there with his own. "Don't scare me like that again." His voice was soft with sleep.

"I don't plan on these things," Izuku laughed weakly as he drifted off to sleep once more.

Katsuki was mindlessly scrolling through his phone when he heard movement, and his eyes flicked up just in time to see Uraraka open her eyes. She slowly glanced around the room, and finally her gaze landed on him.

"B-bakugo?"

"Hey, Pink Cheeks."

"W-what happened?"

"You were a reckless idiot is what happened." He sighed as he looked at her. She looked so… small... in the hospital bed. He wished he could stop seeing her like this. He heard her start to giggle, but then he saw her wince at the pain.

"Occupational hazard." She managed to wheeze out as she tried to catch her breath.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Being your friend. Being a reckless idiot is an occupational hazard." She held her wound as she laughed at his expression. He was speechless as she continued. "Kirishima at Kamino ward. Kaminari as himself. Oh! Midoriya has been your friend since birth basically. Hmmm, that explains a lot, actually."

"But what does that have to do with you?" Oops, Katsuki could see the hurt cross her face for just a moment.

"We're friends, right?" Friends? Why would he be friends with her? She was annoying, but so was Shitty Hair and Raccoon Eyes. She was constantly putting herself in danger, to protect others who couldn't protect themselves. She wasn't as strong as him, but she had strengths he didn't have. She pushed him, to be a better person, a better hero. Why wouldn't he be friends with her.

"Of course we're friends."

"Good, I was wanting another gay friend." He couldn't help himself, he laughed along with her. "Now I just need Shinso."

"Why?" He was still laughing.

"I need the whole set of class A gay friends." She nodded, a determined look in her eyes.

Shota sighed as he stood behind Nezu's desk, waiting for the students to arrive. It had been a long week of discussing things with Nezu and several other teachers since the Shizuoka Mall attack. There was a knock on the door, and when it opened the two homeroom teachers for class three and the four students from the mall walked in.

"Go ahead and sit. We have a lot to discuss." Nezu spoke from his chair, and Shota knew this was a conversation that had been coming for a long time. They just didn't have a reason for it until now.

"It has been brought to my attention that the recent actions of you four have reflected poorly on this school. It has also been brought to my attention that changes need to be made. Your refusal to help in an emergency could have cost lives, and you were extremely fortunate that several other students of this school were there." He could tell Nezu was not enjoying this.

"Since it is too late in the year for expulsion, as you four will be graduating in a few short weeks, arrangements have been made. Your provisional licenses are suspended, and you four will be transferred to general studies for the remainder of the year." The students started to protest, but were silenced by a glare from Shota.

"Thank you, Eraser Head. The teachers and I have been discussing this thoroughly these past few days and it was the only viable option. You four have been consistently at the bottom of your classes. You have been doing work studies that first years can do with ease, simply because none of the pro heroes were willing to take you on as interns." Nezu set his paws on his desk and leaned forward. "UA prides itself on training the best heroes, but sometimes all the training we provide is not enough if you don't work for it." He took several stacks of paper from a drawer, setting one in front of each student. "Once you sign these, you are dismissed from my office." At their reluctance he leveled them with a glare. "It's either you sign these papers or you will be expelled.:

Shota sighed as the students left Nezu's office minutes later after signing the papers. "What's next, Nezu?"

"Yoake Hakari," Nezu answered, right as there was a knock on the door. The blonde student slowly walked in.

After a week in the hospital, both Izuku and Uraraka were discharged Sunday evening, and orders to take it easy for the next week were given. All Might was actually the one to drive them back to the school. As they were dropped off at the dorms, Izuku asked his mentor to stay a moment.

"What's wrong, young Midoriya?" He sat on the bench outside the dorms, gesturing for Izuku to join him.

"I need, no, we need to tell them about it."

"Tell who about what?"

"We need to tell my class about One for All."

"What makes you say that, young Midoriya?" He could tell All Might was caught off guard by his statement.

"Because all I could think about as I laid there, dying, was that One for All was going to die with me." Reading the journal Uraraka had given, him he had found out that there was a time limit on passing his quirk on. If the DNA used to pass it on wasn't used within an hour, the DNA lost its power. "Kacchan and Uraraka were both fighting, so they wouldn't have made it in time to receive it. No one else knows about it, so that puts me at a disadvantage if I need to pass it on."

"When do you want to tell them?" Understanding and pride filled his voice.

"Tomorrow morning."

The next morning Izuku's stomach was a ball of nerves as he waited with All Might for all his classmates to arrive, receiving several questioning looks as he sat at the front of the room instead of at his desk. At last, when the bell rang for class to begin, All Might cleared his throat, and the class focused on him.

"While I'm glad to see that everyone has been doing fine after last week, it has been brought to my attention that certain things need to be discussed." He looked over and Izuku nodded for him to continue. "Back when quirks first started appearing, there were two brothers. The elder had a quirk. The younger did not. The elder brother you all have heard of; he was the one responsible for Kamino ward. All for One." There were shouts from his classmates, but it was Iida who got in the first question.

"But All Might-sensei, what does that have to do with us?"

"Because the younger brother had a quirk, he just didn't know about it." Izuku's voice had the class calming down. "His brother forced a quirk on him, a stockpiling quirk, but he had another quirk all along. The ability to pass his quirk on to another. It became known as One for All. All Might here was the eighth user." He took a breath and looked out at his class, his friends, his family. "I am the ninth."

"Why are you telling us this?" Yaoyorozu asked, Izuku signed as he looked at his classmates, and saw Uraraka's encouraging smile.

"Because I almost died last week, and One for All almost died with me. There was no one around that knew to pass it on to. Which is why I'm telling you about it, because if something happens to me I need to pass it on." Izuku saw the determination of his class as he continued to explain, to answer their questions.

The next pictures put on the wall didn't come from them, but rather the countless articles online that covered the Shizuoka Mall attack.

Countless pictures came from the civilians that were there. There were several pictures of Bakugo fighting off the clones of Twice, and someone even managed to catch Uraraka literally dropping in to help. There were several of a whip of light lashing out at villains, and orbs of light surrounding where Hagakure was.

One was of Ashido vaulting over a bench, Kaminari close behind as they led villains away from civilians. Then, there was one of Yaoyorozu as she ran alongside the paramedics as they brought Midoriya through on a stretcher. There was even one of Aizawa as he carried a bleeding Uraraka to an ambulance.

Someone had even printed out several of the articles, the headlines drawing attention to each story.UA's Class Two A: Class of Hope! The Next Generation of Heroes?

Then, there was the article that explained why the attacks took place to begin with.Meta Liberation Army on the Rise: Hero Killer Stain Jailbreak.
