CHAPTER 44
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
Jason continued to lazily caress Dianna's body on the sofa, kissing her neck, and she was very happy to just lay there with him and caress his chest and stomach, but their alarms had other ideas. Jason's alarm went off, which meant Dianna's would too, in a few seconds. Jason grumbled and stood up, gesturing for Dianna to stay on the sofa, and he turned both alarms off and grabbed her a glass of soda and her two pills. Dianna sat on the sofa and he sat beside her, gazing at her while she swallowed the pills. The sunset was pouring behind her, and Jason saw that he left the glass door semi-open, so he walked there and closed it.
"Leave the curtains open" Dianna quickly said, when he closed the door, "I like the light pouring in" she explained, and he couldn't agree more. Dianna was bathed by the sunset light, but so was he, and she wasn't finished with him yet. She stood up and walked to Jason, kissing him passionately, and soon he was ready for action again.
"Sit here" she suddenly told him, spreading on the floor the big heavy blanket he used that night, in front of the glass door, and he quickly sat on the blanket, with his back on the side of the sofa, facing the glass door. Luckily, Dianna's backyard was private, because the lot faced some trees on the back.
"I'm very grateful, Jason" she said, and he seductively grinned at her, not able to hold his excitement. He even took a pillow next to him and put it on his back, so it would be more comfortable when she sat on him. Dianna chuckled about his slyness.
"You never told me how the op to rescue us went. I'd love to hear it" she calmly said, and Jason smiled and focused to remember the beginning, while she straddled him and kissed his neck and chest.
"We found Jessica at the Base", he gasped because Dianna licked and bit his nipple, "and we pressured her to think of a place where you guys could be". He swallowed, while Dianna hummed and sat beside him, trailing kisses down to his stomach.
"We arrived at the building", Jason gasped again, and he was kind of blinded by the sunlight on his face, while Dianna kissed his biceps and caressed his chest, "with our death masks. We shot the soldiers near the gate and divided into two groups".
"U-hum, then what" Dianna lazily murmured, going back to Jason's stomach, licking and kissing his moneymaker crease. Jason swallowed.
"Ray, Clay and I were in one group. Sonny, Trent, Brock, and... oh God" Jason gasped, because Dianna grabbed his erection and gently kissed the tip, and she looked at him and smiled when she saw his reaction. Jason blinked, and she licked and kissed it again, making him shiver. "Go on" she calmly said.
"I… hum" he grunted, watching Dianna spread her body over the blanket on the floor, right next to him, laying on her stomach. She started to suck him, lick him, and kiss the tip, and Jason was breathing hard, but Dianna paused and looked at him; she wanted him to continue talking. So he immediately continued, blinking to focus. "Sonny, Trent, Brock, and Full Metal were in the other group".
Jason closed his eyes to focus again, and he was feeling feverish with the sensation of Dianna's mouth taking all of him. He opened his eyes and saw her body bathed by the golden light, and felt in a haze, but she glanced at him again, with hunger eyes, and he continued.
"We cleared the left side, and I shot three soldiers and Ray one" he cockily said, and Dianna smiled while licking him, "then four other soldiers shot at us when we were approaching another" Jason moaned, because Dianna sucked hard on him again, "hallway". Jason was already on his limit, because Dianna was great at this, apparently she was extremely grateful. "We shot them all" Jason decided to summarize all the action, and Dianna looked up again, chuckling while softly kissing his tip, and he took a second to register that moment on his brain.
The sun was pouring in the living room, right on them, and Dianna's hair and body were bathed in gold and orange light. She was stretched but sometimes she raised her foot a bit, and she seemed completely relaxed while sucking him like he had never been sucked before. And the fact that she was actually paying attention to his story and reacting to it made him feel even more aroused. Especially because he was very aware that his story, and her blowjob, would both have a happy ending.
Jason swallowed and caressed her shiny locks, already close to his climax, and he hesitated to tell her this part of the story, but Dianna glanced at him again, then she licked him and sucked hard. He blurted all of it. "There was a long hallway with six or seven rooms on both sides, and we should clear them one by one" he gasped, focusing to not come yet, "but I heard Davis' voice" then she sucked hard on him again, "and I just went straight to the second to last room". He moaned.
"Dianna, I'm so close" he alerted, in case she wanted to stop, but she hummed and sucked him hard again, and he focused to finish the story.
"I saw you, Davis, Blackburn, hum, and two of the soldiers through the small opening of the door" he moaned, feeling like he was about to explode, "and Clay tapped on my… shoulder. God" he felt Dianna sucking him entirely, even harder, "I shot them both and kicked the door, and… just..." he looked down to her face and she sucked him harder than ever, looking at him, and Jason just exploded with the sensations and the sight of Dianna bathed in light. He shut his eyes and moaned loudly, pressing her hair with one hand and the blanket with the other, coming into her mouth.
When Jason opened his eyes Dianna was swallowing and looking at him. She came back in the end to lick the tip, and smirked. He was trying to catch his breath and felt his heart racing, and Dianna sat next to him, on her side, and gently kissed his lips.
She hummed, looking at him. "Daring".
When Jason finally calmed down, he made Dianna sit on his thighs, facing him. He liked that spot, and now the sun was almost down.
"And here you are" he murmured with a husky voice, finishing the story of her rescue, and placing his fingers between her legs, lazily moving them. She gasped.
"Would you have accepted my apology" she squirmed "if I hadn't been taken by the VSP?"
He nodded, sincere, looking into her eyes, while touching her harder. "Yes. Probably in a couple of days", he chuckled, and she laughed back. He looked down and wondered if she would rather have his fingers or his mouth on her. He was feeling very thankful too, that afternoon. For some reason.
"I really love your hands" Dianna stated, when she saw him hesitating. "I like looking at you" she admitted, and his face twitched. He looked at her with hungry eyes, pressing harder on her until she moaned. She loved his husky voice in her ear too, but she wouldn't tell him that. She couldn't inflate his ego too much. It might be dangerous.
"I think we'll have training tomorrow" he said, with a husky voice, "would you come to the Base with me?"
Dianna squirmed and hummed. "U-hum, of course".
He kissed her lips, pressing harder and faster. "We can sign the forms".
"Yes. Let's sign them already", she said, impatient.
"I'd like to celebrate after" he said, dangerously, and felt her close.
"Yes. The car" she said, closing her eyes.
He gasped, caught off guard by her suggestion, and pressed harder, making her come with his hands and in front of him.
And then he was hard again and decided to enjoy that spot one more time, and Dianna didn't argue, at all.
When they were finished, finally exhausted, Dianna said her shoulder was starting to hurt a bit, and Jason immediately grabbed one of his t-shirts downstairs and helped her put it on, so that the sling wouldn't hurt the skin of her shoulder. She was feeling too hot to wear the knitted dress again.
"When do you think Blackburn will get out of the hospital?" she asked, sitting on the kitchen stool, while Jason grabbed one of the last beers in her fridge.
"They say tomorrow. But he'll have to be on a leave for a few weeks. They'll bring some other Officer to replace him. Davis is still on probation, she can't run an op alone". Jason explained, and sighed. "I'm just glad that his shot was superficial and didn't hit any artery".
Dianna looked up to Jason, stern. "I was there when he was shot, Jason".
He imagined that, given that they were all captured together. He nodded. "That must have been scary".
"It wasn't" Dianna bluntly said, and Jason stared at her, curious. "It was silent, Jason. And sudden. We were confused when he was shot, and I was confused when someone knocked me out".
Jason swallowed, and came closer to her. "What are you implying?"
Dianna stared and kept quiet for a while, looking at him. "You know what".
Jason exhaled. "You can't be sure. And you never really liked her". He tried to convince her, and himself.
"I can't be sure, no. But I have my reasons to not like her" she stated, still serious.
Jason nodded, serious. "You think she was bribed by the VSP?"
"I don't know. Maybe. I really don't know" Dianna said, sincere. "We don't know anything about her".
"She's the one who pointed us to the building where you were kept, Dianna" Jason stated, and Dianna's expression changed.
"Oh" she looked down, her mind thinking fast, "That wouldn't be safe for her to do, if she was bribed" Dianna admitted.
Jason exhaled, a little more relaxed. "Yes. You see? Maybe the VSP soldiers are just getting better and more silent when they enter a building" Jason tried, but he wasn't really believing that himself, either.
"I guess. You would know" Dianna said, confused. Then she remembered something. "Oh, did you know? Dead Guy is in a coma".
Jason grunted. "Yes, I heard. Also heard that the Navy's shitty prosecutor may be charging Luke with attempted murder".
Dianna nodded. "Yes. And I have a feeling that he will, unfortunately".
Jason widened his eyes, because he thought that wouldn't actually happen. "It was self-defense, Dianna" he argued.
Dianna stared at him, serious again, and said nothing. Jason was too curious to let it pass. "What are you thinking?" he finally asked, very aware that if she didn't tell him, it's because he wouldn't like the answer.
Dianna sighed. "That fifth victim, Jason. The one that the prosecutor of my case was after, and she didn't want to talk to him".
"What about her? Did they tell you something about her?"
"No" Dianna admitted, but continued, "but I have a strong feeling that it was Luke's wife".
Jason was looking out the glass door of Dianna's living room, with his arms crossed over his bare chest, blankly staring at the lawn mower that was still in the middle of her yard, now dark because it was night. Dianna approached him and touched his back with her hand.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to bring you down" she said, and he continued to stare at the lawn mower.
"It's not your fault. I'd rather know. But I keep thinking that if you hadn't stopped me, I would have probably done the same to that guy. Or worse" he said.
Dianna stood beside him. "I know. To be honest, I think all of us would. But at least Luke can argue that too, especially if he did something to his wife. He certainly will have a great attorney with him".
Jason nodded, silent, still looking at the backyard. "I'll get the lawn mower out of there in a sec".
"No" Dianna touched him, and he finally turned. "Leave it. It's not going to rain. And tomorrow we'll see". Jason nodded, and walked to the sofa, sitting comfortably on it, and Dianna sat next to him, on her side, facing him.
"Do you think it's gonna be weird if we hang out with the team this weekend? I mean, everyone probably thinks I should be down and resting. After all, I'm on a leave", she said.
Jason smirked. "I'm not the best person to be asked about that. I never stop when I'm on leave or wounded" he admitted.
Dianna laughed. "I can imagine. I thought about doing something here on Saturday or Sunday. A barbecue or whatever, for lunch".
Jason nodded, smiling. "Alright. I'll ask the team. I can grill".
Dianna pouted. "That's ok, Sonny loves to do it", Dianna quickly said, and when she saw Jason's hurt face, she added "I'll actually need your help with some different drinks I thought about serving".
Jason knew nothing about drinks, but he knew she was saying that to make him feel useful. "I'll try to help you. Not that I know too much about it". He looked to the side, and added, "You'll need a table. Outdoor or in the living room".
Dianna shrugged. "I have some ideas, I even saved some pictures, but the ones I find are way too expensive. Or don't deliver here" she explained.
Jason pointed at her phone, "Show me, let me see". He looked attentively and nodded, "Well, you do have a fancy taste, Dianna" he stated, when he saw the type of table that she wanted.
She frowned at her phone, "I didn't think it was that hard to find. Well, I wouldn't have a table for this weekend, anyways, but I know that Ray and Naima and Davis have those temporary ones, I thought about using those outside. Or inside, if it rains".
"Sure, great idea" Jason nodded, smiling. "We can talk to the guys tomorrow. Actually, I hadn't checked my phone for a while" he said, standing up and looking for it on the coffee table and sofa. He was already wearing his jeans, and it wasn't in his pockets.
"Oh, there" Dianna suddenly pointed with her feet to the floor, near the console table. Next to a lot of papers.
Jason naughtily smiled at Dianna while he walked there and grabbed his phone. "It must have fallen from my pocket".
"I didn't notice" Dianna chuckled from the sofa, watching him take the papers from the floor and place them back over the table.
Jason frowned, looking at his phone. "Yep. We got training tomorrow. 9AM". He stopped, and read a text, then he continued, "Oh, and Emma said she's thinking about coming this weekend to VA Beach again. I have a feeling that she misses her friends from here, but she says she's missing her dad" Jason chuckled, and looked at Dianna, waiting.
Dianna smirked. "She can come to the barbecue if she wants to. If it really happens, of course".
Jason came closer. "Really? Because I think it would be nice. We can tell her, we'll have signed the forms already. It would be less pressure". He seductively leaned closer to Dianna.
"U-hum. Tomorrow we'll see with the guys and then you tell her to come here. Just give her a heads up about me and Davis, so she isn't shocked when she sees us" she chuckled.
Dianna was feeling great while walking next to Jason at the Base. She did that many times before, but this time they would be able to walk out of it holding hands. Even though she wasn't much of a hand holder type of person, but still. It was nice to have the option. The day was sunny and a lot hotter than the day before. The wind had stopped and Dianna wanted easy access, so she was wearing a green dress that ended in the middle of her shins, with heart-shaped cleavage and a slightly flowy skirt. It was beautiful but still professional enough, because she felt she needed to spruce up to compensate for her cuts. Her bruises now were fading to a green tone, which was a lot easier to cover with concealer, and the bigger cut she was able to disguise with her hair in the front. Jason joyfully offered, but Dianna decided she'd go to the hair salon that afternoon, to wash her hair, because she needed a haircut too.
Jason was trying to walk casually next to Dianna when they were walking to the building where the HR was, but he ended up touching her lower back when they made their way inside. But for him it didn't matter, because they actually arrived a lot earlier than his training to sign the forms, and they'd be done with it. He thought Dianna was looking amazing with her green dress and a lot of the military men discreetly gazed at her, stopping when Jason walked closer to her. She was hiding the cut next to her ear with her hair, and the small cut on the nose was almost imperceptible. The bruises on her face were almost gone. But she was still using the sling.
"Here" Jason touched Dianna's waist to guide her to the HR room, and he made Dianna get inside first, then he joyfully greeted the girl that works there. She still was scared of him from the last time he was there and was in a hurry to sign the request. Jason leaned on the counter, like he was about to order a coffee. "Good morning, how are you? If you could please hand me those relationship forms, would ya? The ones with the yellow folder".
The girl stared at him and Dianna, and shrugged. "Ok, sure". She looked in a file where they kept a lot of types of forms, and her superior arrived at the room, coming from a back door.
"You again?" the older woman from HR loudly mocked Jason. "You know, Master Chief, you don't have to sign those forms every time you have a fling".
Jason swallowed, but felt offended. "It's not that. Something happened a few months ago, we were going to sign them back then". He gesture to Dianna, who was waiting on a chair, quietly chuckling.
"Yes" the woman looked at Jason up and down, "You are the guy that signed the forms alone. I know. I had to destroy them" she teased, and Jason squirmed, wondering what Dianna would think of that, because she didn't know he signed them.
He falsely chuckled, trying to turn it into a funny story. "Actually-"
"And now, what, not even two months ago, you signed with that doctor another form. And then like ten days ago you, alone, requested the revocation" she continued, mocking and annoyed at the same time. Obviously, Master Chief Hayes' love life was the theme of jokes in HR, and was giving them a lot of paper work.
The girl handed her superior the yellow folder, but also another thicker folder, brown, apparently Jason's historic in the Navy's HR. "Unilateral request" the woman loudly read to Jason, as if he didn't know.
Jason squirmed again. "Yes. Like I said, it obviously didn't work out. I received an email that my request was approved. And now I'd like to get back to the original plan and sign the forms with Ms. Veiler, here" he gestured, and Dianna stood up, and came next to him, to show support.
The woman looked at Dianna up and down, then looked at Jason again. "You do realize that the doctor wasn't even notified of the approval of your request yet, right?" she said, looking into his file.
Dianna finally meddled, "Is that a problem? Does she have to?"
"She knows we're over. She really does" Jason added, anxious.
The woman laughed at their impatience. "Relax, people. Of course it doesn't matter if the person getting dumped has received the notification. We can't make someone continue in a relationship if the other one doesn't want to. I'm just saying. You're fast, huh, soldier" she continued to mock Jason, and the girl next to her chuckled too. And Dianna tried to disguise a smile, looking to the side.
Jason sighed, and dramatically asked, looking at the ceiling, "Could you please, ma'am, just give me the damn forms so we can sign them and finally make out in peace?"
The room was quiet and Jason thought that finally the woman would stop mocking him, but as soon as he looked down he heard Captain Lindell at the entrance of the room.
"Well, Master Chief Hayes. I would prefer if you two didn't 'make out' inside the Base".
"Sir" Jason quickly said, standing erect, and feeling extremely relieved that he said 'make out' and not 'fuck'. "I was joking, of course".
Lindell looked at Jason, and then at Dianna, annoyed. "Isn't this a little too fast, Hayes? I shouldn't meddle, but Natalie is my friend, you know. I just signed the revocation these days".
The woman from HR tried to explain to the Captain. "Sir, this is the woman that didn't sign the first forms. You know. When I told you, sir, and asked you what to do, and you said that I had to destroy the forms. That only he signed". She said, smiling while teasing Jason, and he was livid.
"Oh" Lindell obviously remembered the case, and chuckled. "Sure. Sure. U-hum. Are you sure this time?" he looked at Dianna, who was smiling, and nodded at him. He chuckled again, having fun with Jason's humiliation, and turned to him. "Maybe you should make her sign them first this time, huh? Just in case". And he left the room after delivering some papers to the girl, still chuckling at Jason.
The room was silent again, and Jason was still blankly staring at the wall, erect and with his ego hurt. Dianna calmly got the yellow folder the woman placed on the counter, took a pen and filled it with her information, then signed them, silently. She gently touched Jason's arm and he looked at her affectionate smile, and quickly signed them too.
"Anything else? Does Lindell have to sign something?" Dianna casually asked while returning the forms to the girl, standing next to Jason and looking to the HR woman, who was watching everything, amused.
"Yes, he'll have to sign. But of course he'll approve in your case. But you have formally informed the Navy about your relationship" the woman raised an eyebrow to Dianna, who nodded at her, smirking. Jason looked, confused, when Dianna just took his hand and guided him to the entrance of the room, at the hallway, and pulled him closer by his t-shirt, giving Jason a kiss that left him breathless. She parted their lips after more than ten seconds, smiling.
"I'd like to celebrate now" Dianna declared, because it was still 8:20AM, and Jason's car had dark windows and windshield. And the Base was close to an empty park.
