Premonition to Disaster
(Harmony)
For the second and hopefully last time in my life, I lay naked on the floor of this cave. Though unlike before, this time I was not cradled against my mother's warmth but against the body of the man who would be my husband. Only the skinned hide of Ursa Minor protecting our dignity from view and our bodies from the cold morning breeze.
I did not know whether either of us had actually intended for us to do end up doing it last night. I was not in the correct state mentally and to be honest by the way he had slept ever since he wasn't physically, but well here we were.
Unlike the exhausted Titan though, I had been up most of the night pondering the matter of Delia over and over again. I hadn't made any headway in that time in actually finding out what had happened to her, however being held in Percy's embrace also stopped me from having another panic attack. Like a comfort blanket his very presence and indeed touch was enough to keep me calm.
The same as it was back all those Millenia ago, every tool at my disposal told me nothing, that she was likely dead. But still I couldn't shake that fact that I had been wrong back then and I was still now. I was goddess of the Hunt but I was not completely infallible, Pan had been as hidden from me as everyone else, let alone the embarrassment of Ares beating me to finding the Masterbolt when Hermes's son had stolen it.
Though it was doubtful that I would have been tempted to try and start World War Three. I would have likely just put an arrow through his heart, took the Bolt back to father and that would have been that. A sequence of events that would likely not ended with me in my current situation with Poseidon's son.
It was strange to think that there were so many events that could have easily gone a different way and not only my life but the whole world could be completely different by now.
Looking down at Percy's left hand wrapped over my waist and at the silver band on his finger. I couldn't help but think what game the Fates or rather their mother Ananke was playing.
It was becoming increasingly clear to me that someone was playing matchmaker between us and had been for a very long time. His continued survival against impossible odds for all these years clearly showed that someone had been smiling down on him, even when almost the entire world wanted him dead. Instead he had thrived, growing in power and stature and changing the world for the better.
Let alone bulldozing his way past the all barriers to my heart, body and mind in a way that should have been impossible to do so. Even my own aspects differences had been overcome in such a way as to cause the unheard of situation as my own current predicament. He had metaphorically and indeed quite literally touched every part of me.
Now even when it came to one of the many shadows of my past, he didn't criticise my judgement or actions. Instead he simply told me that he would help me through this situation like always. Fated or not that we were, I couldn't help but admire the man for his unthinking willingness to help others no matter what.
Laying there smiling for a while longer, I eventually noticed that his breathing pattern had changed before slowly his hand began to move down across the skin of my stomach. Almost immediately my body wanted his caressing to move just a little lower, but alas it wasn't to be as his hand slipped back up and over my hips.
"Good Morning." He said groggily as I rolled over towards him, once again positioning my body directly against his. Our faces barely inches from one another as his eyes looked back into mine, despite the fact that half my hair had gone the wrong way and was obscuring most of my left golden eye.
"Morning sleepyhead." I said giggling as he futilely tried to brush the hair aside with the tip of his nose, with most of its considerable length pinned under my shoulder it wasn't going anywhere unless I shifted position. Giving up on the hair with a sigh he instead chose to lightly kiss my lips.
"I swear every time I try and get some rest, the world conspires against me to do the opposite." He said in weary exasperation. Despite his words the fact that his hand had almost instinctively cupped my butt was amusing to me.
"Not the world, just me I'm afraid." I joked pushing my breasts against his chest.
"You are just the biggest offender, and at least I am getting something out of it." He said smiling wryly.
"Besides, how bad could shopping with Thalia be?" I asked curiously, the subject not having come up last night between my problems and then sex. For a few seconds Percy suddenly looked like he was caught in the headlights.
"Well I only killed one mortal, if that helps." He laughed nervously as this time it was me sitting there blinking repeatedly.
"Come again." I said in surprise.
"Only if you're on top." He replied instantly with a grin.
"Ok I walked right into that one, and I will hold you to that… What do you mean you had to kill someone? How on earth does shopping lead to that?" I asked glaring at him.
"Some homeless guy tried and almost succeeded in killing Thalia, he didn't survive the attempt. As punishment your dad says I have to stay with you. Oh and it is a bad idea to try and lock one of the most populated places on the planet in time if you want to remain conscious for more than a few seconds." He said in extremely shortened summary clearly not wanting to talk about it much.
"How will you cope with such a terrible punishment?" I inquired mischievously getting off the serious part of the subject for the time being. There would be time for that later. Right here and now I quite literally had him by the balls.
"I'm sure I will manage to pull something out of the bag." He laughed whilst grabbing my hips and rolling onto his back pulling me with him. Now atop the Titan Lord I quickly readjusted my position so I was straddling him and leaning back causing the bear skin to slip off.
Raising my hips up a little I adjusted my position above his crotch before slowly lowering my down. With a quick exhale of breath I quickly pushed myself down the rest of the way before I found myself resting on his lap.
"Harmony that's…" Percy began to say with concern before I placed a finger on his lips silencing him.
"This is punishment remember." I said simply even as I gyrated my pelvis a little causing his hard cock to stir my insides. The truth of who was being punished was open to interpretation in this situation, because I too had been a massive idiot for the last twenty-four hours.
"I can live with this…" Percy said with amusement before we began our now familiar albeit slightly altered routine of love making.
(Thalia)
Unlike the two immortals, my night had been far more chaste. Despite likely both of their expectations the most me and Reyna had done was kiss upon finally getting away from the other Hunters. Sure we were no longer in her palace now but I was unsure how the temperamental goddess would react to us defiling her birthplace. But after the day I had and then a lengthy explanation about my transformation I wasn't in the mood.
Something that had taken an awfully long time to explain away, sure I was pretty much lying for most of it and making it up on the fly. But fortunately they too we distracted with the whole Harmony situation, something that didn't get any better even when the lone demi-Titan returned. Whilst everyone begrudgingly agreed that Percy alone stood any chance of dealing with the goddess in one way or another it was still a nervous situation to have a volatile powder keg of emotions dormant beneath our very feet.
Even so as the hours transitioned from night into morning, I was eventually able to order the other girls to their beds. Officially I was not even currently a Hunter let alone Lieutenant but they did not actually know about that small detail. What they did however know was if they did not, they would be getting woken up and going for a run at six in the morning with Zoe around the entire island.
Something only the oldest two Hunters actually seemed not bothered about. Phoebe simply for the challenge and Atalanta because by the time the rest finished she would have already been back long enough to have had breakfast and probably even a snooze whilst she waited. How hilarious would the Olympics be if they had all the top runners in the world get beaten by a young girl who looked like she was not even trying? Not even going into Archery of course, she made the rest of us look bad. If it was not for the literal goddess beating her on occasion people might have made assumptions about her having that domain.
Realising the futility of discussing the situation further now and that the former Lieutenant was being quite serious. The Hunters began to break off and head towards their respective tents, leaving only myself, Reyna and Zoe before Atalanta suddenly reappeared after making sure the others were now in their tents. I was almost surprised that Phoebe hadn't back with her but those two pretty much told each other everything anyway.
So with just the four of us, Zoe and Atalanta explained everything that they knew about what had happened, Delos and most importantly Delia. Hearing it from them even I actually had to be reminded that Zoe was not actually Artemis's first Lieutenant she had just been doing it for so long that it was easy to forget that she had predecessors in the role before her.
Now that I too was brought up to speed with the likely cause of Harmony's freak-out, we understood however that she would have to make the first move in the search for our long lost 'sister'. Sure we could search every inch of this island but the chances of her being here were extremely low. Delos was incapable of sustaining advanced life, even a nymph needed more to survive than could possibly be found on this island.
Which meant that she had to be on another island most likely. Which narrowed it down slightly, to only several thousand other possible places she could be. Providing of course, that she was indeed still alive in the first place.
Eventually, we all agreed before going our own ways though there was little that could be done at this hour and certainly not until Harmony got her shit together and her ass moving. Little did any of us know… that was exactly what she was doing.
However, even when we were alone in our tent together I still neglected to tell Reyna about what had happened when I was attacked. For the moment it would serve no real purpose after all other than causing my girlfriend more potential stress than we were all under. My attacker was dead and the chances of any comeback from the situation now were basically zero. After all, what mattered was that I was still alive and back here with her.
Still even if we weren't doing anything together for the time being, the satisfaction of watching the other girls eyes glued to me as I stripped down to my underwear was delightful. That said underwear was far from 'regulation' and didn't leave much to the imagination probably helped.
If she was so captivated by what I was wearing now, I was looking forward to showing her what else I brought. As well as the few other 'items', that were currently left down by the shoreline.
Come to think of it, we had basically just dumped Pride unconscious where he was in our haste to return to the Hunt. It was not like he could drown and with zero animal life on the island he should be fine. It wasn't as if two angry Titans with marine domains were actively trying to kill him. Right?
On that last nervous thought I shut my eyes, hoping that he and more importantly my stuff would still be there in the morning.
When I opened my eyes I knew that I was dreaming as instead of finding myself in my tent I was now standing in the throne room of Olympus. Around the room were congregated groups of battle equipped immortals having silent conversations with one another.
Both the familiar faces of Olympian and minor gods. As well as a few unknown figures that judging by their physical stature could have only been members of Titan Council.
At the head of the room were the armoured forms of my father and uncles, both of which seemed to be silently shouting at their younger sibling as they both gestured aggressively with their arms and general body language. However whatever the King of the Gods was being told was clearly not affecting his opinion too much as he stoically listened to them.
However the fact that those three were arguing was more than enough hint I needed to work out what the nature of this apparent disaster was. As I swept my head around the room doing a quick head count of thirteen Olympians, the missing figure of Artemis/Harmony easily noticeable.
Noticeable to was the absence of Percy, which due to the cross pantheon nature of the group was only to likely to be the cause of the whole situation.
"Mother." A soft voice called out as I immediately turned towards the only noise in the silent room.
The source of the noise was coming from behind the silver throne of Artemis causing me to break out into a sprint towards it.
Running past the three elder gods I skidded to a halt as I passed around the back of the throne and was immediately shocked by what I could see.
Artemis was here thankfully, but the good news ended there. Whatever had happened had taken a drastic toll on the goddess as she sat with her knees pulled up to her chest. Her eyes almost vacant and expressionless, dried ichor staining her face and clothes. Most worrying however was the fact you could almost see through her. If you focused on her hard you could indeed make out the details on the floor and throne behind her.
It stood in sharp contrast to the bold beautiful figure that I had seen only a few hours ago with Harmony.
Dropping to my knees I reached out to touch the goddess only for my hands to pass through the goddess. Something that I hoped was to do with me dreaming this situation and not due to her current state.
"Artemis! What happened? Where's Percy?" I shouted fearfully yet receiving no response from the goddess.
"Mother cannot hear you." The voice from before said from behind me as I felt all the hairs on my neck stand up as I slowly turned around to meet the source of the voice.
"Mother, you cannot mean…" I said going wide-eyed as I looked at the small girl in a simple white chiton standing before me. It didn't take a genius to work out who this girl was supposed to be. The long almost floor length black hair and golden eyes more than gave away her identity. Apart from the colorations she closely resembled her mother's childlike form albeit even younger. If she was human you would have assumed that she was around four or five years old but being an immortal she could have been any age not allowing me any hints on when this was taking place.
But even so, as I looked at this future daughter of Percy and Artemis. Rather than excitement at this reveal of her appearance, long before her own parents would ever see her. All I could feel was a chill running down my back, she may have been Artemis's daughter but the sensation she was hitting me with was definitely similar to that of Harmony.
"You're not supposed to be here Auntie. So you need to go back and wait for the time when we can meet again." The girl said with amusement her eyes turning silver before I felt the dream collapse and I woke for real hurriedly taking deep breaths despite a heavy weight on my chest.
Opening my eyes I was surprised to find myself pinned down by Reyna who was straddling my lap her arms pinning my wrists down.
"Reyna?" I asked wearily to the other girl.
"Your awake, thank the gods I thought you were having a seizure. You suddenly started thrashing about in your sleep I was worried for you." My girlfriend said with relief on her face.
"Sorry I must have had a nightmare." I said simply unsure of how I would describe what I had just seen. I was not sure what had led to the scene I had witnessed to create that scenario but it must have been bad. But despite all of the possibilities that was not what had me worried, instead it was a little girl barely taller than my waist who had me so terrified.
"Was it the fire again?" Reyna assumed releasing her grasp on my wrists.
"I don't know, but I think so?" I lied. But how was I supposed to explain that I had dreamed I had met my future divine niece in the middle of some upcoming monumental crisis?
"You had me worried; it has never been that bad before. Are you sure you are ok?" She asked caringly.
"Yeah I should be, but maybe we should stay together for a bit longer." I suggested playfully trying to distract myself from remembering those piercing gold eyes.
"I suppose I could use some practice in snuggling up to you now, now that you are a lot more comfy." Reyna teased pushing a finger into the new mass that was my left breast.
"Hey that tickles." I giggled as the other girl shot me a wicked grin.
"You should not have said that." She whispered into my ear before going on the attack.
Eventually though she slumped down beside me and went back to sleep, still a few things kept running through my head about what I had seen.
What could possibly have happened to Artemis to leave her that way?
Where was Percy during all of this?
If their daughter was there, then where was Diana's son?
But most importantly.
Did I tell them about it?
AN. So err. Elden Ring happened, then maybe again and a few more times afterwards. Go to work, come home play game, go to sleep, wake up, repeat... shit where the fuck did February, March and April go!
Now I know this chapter is short and mostly serves as a build up to future events as a teaser. So that I get all of your theories on what is happening because I am mean like that. Also because I have not utilised dreams for a long time, so whilst Thalia is 'out' of the Hunt it seemed like the right time to do it. Yes I am aware in Titan's Curse Zoe also had a premonition so her being out of the Hunt should make no difference. My story my rules, besides it is not like Rick can follow his own story decisions judging by a certain set of recent casting decisions for the TV series. Yay for Disney shitting on everyone's childhood again for casting quotas. They can still make Annabeth blonde in which case I will now nickname her Guinness Girl. No I am not apologising.
Anyway, getting off that rage point. We have the first mainline appearance of Arianna, long before her own actual birth which considering who she is, actually makes sense. I will let you all try and work out what is going on but if you leave a review I might give you insights into what is really happening there.
Anyway I am back on this now after that slight distractions so the next chapter shouldn't be too far away as the hunt begins for the missing Hunter.
