Define Normal Around Here

(Perseus)

"Urgh. What the hell is that crazy goddess thinking." I muttered to myself before opening my eyes and looking up at a vaguely familiar silver canvas tent ceiling.

'Wait a minute... What the fuck... I have been out for two weeks!' I screamed mentally whilst shooting upright as my other senses finally caught up with my newfound consciousness.

Looking around I quickly confirmed my suspicions about my current whereabouts inside the goddess's own tent. The entire zoo's worth of animal pelts basically confirmed that, though unlike before when my other self-had been in here. The furs that normally rested atop the bed itself neatly had been tossed to the far corners of the room. Leaving only crumpled silk sheets on the bed top.

Speaking of which, in a room that had this many comfortable things that I could have been put on. instead, I had seemingly been dumped in the corner, on the only piece of bare ground in the entire tent.

"Would it have hurt someone to actually show me a sliver of kindness. It is not like I wanted to get knocked out for no reason... That bitch!" I exclaimed as I finally realised my newfound 'completeness', sure I was potentially sure something was potentially missing but finally I felt almost complete again for the first time since that crazy Primordial had screwed with my mind.

"Oh great, your awake." A voice complained with irritation as the goddess in question suddenly appeared sitting on the bed regarding me with heterochromatic eyes.

Instinctively I felt myself push myself back again the tent wall without even intending to, every sense I had was telling me that the only reason she likely wouldn't smear the inside of the tent with me, was that would be an inconvenience to my other half.

Unlike before the crushing aura that she had exuded was significantly dampened down, still there but only enough to send a chill down my back.

"Well at least you have put some clothes on this time." I said finally managing to say something to the goddess in front of me. However, no sooner than I had said it, she had 'changed' to only wearing some almost transparent silver lace lingerie and a wry smile. Looking at the beautiful woman in front of me I couldn't help but gulp as my eyes feasted on every detail I could.

At that moment stopped working as I simply sat with my mouth open in awe, as the goddess pushed herself up onto her feet and began to walk towards me. Auburn hair trailing behind her providing backing to those long shapely legs.

"You were saying. Unless you would like me to keep going perhaps..." She said seductively whilst playfully raising a finger up to her lips. There were only a few feet between us now and I had no idea if I was supposed to keep my head at eye level which was her barely covered crotch, or attempt to look up at face which invariably would cause me to focus on her now abundant rack.

"Uhhhhh." I stammered out unable to make any form of understandable retort. The moment most of her clothes came off my ability to communicate had turned to mush. I had all the memories of my counterpart up to the point of Chronos, so I had seen the goddess naked before and even kissed her personally. But now it was like there was something missing, I had no idea what to do in this situation. Like the last time on the rooftop, I couldn't say or do anything but act like a gibbering wreck.

"What a shame, I was rather hoping that you were complete enough to amuse me at last, but it seems like there is still one important bit of you missing." The goddess Harmony said clicking her tongue before turning on her heels and walking back towards the bed giving me a sudden ample view of that thong wearing backside before it was hidden behind her hair. Sitting down and crossing her legs before she was suddenly fully dressed again and I felt like a mental block had suddenly been removed.

"Harmony isn't it, what the hell are you?" I asked finally able to compose words again and remembering what she had called herself all that time ago.

"Hades if I know. One minute I am Artemis and Diana giving your other self the night of his life, the next I am like this. Not that it hasn't been fun of course. Unlike you of course, Percy knows what to do when a naked woman is standing in front of him." She said with amusement as I frowned at being compared to him, I knew I was the inferior one of the two of us even when I was 'complete'. What with the whole having my head fucked with before I even manifested properly. First by some vengeance seeking spirits that was her fault and then again by a lunatic Lord of Time.

Sure, on paper I was supposed to be as powerful as he was and capable of the same things. Not going into the fact that he had control over ninety percent of our armoury, but we both had massively different approaches to how we thought about problems or others. I could get the same results as he could but there would likely be several dead or seriously annoyed people by the time I did.

Still, to be derided by the goddess for my inability to deal with her whilst she was at least only partially dressed was frustrating me, as I ground my teeth together. The fact that she was saying that he had been having sex with her all this time whilst I was unconscious, was secondary to my own clear inability of even being able to talk to her. I could accept the first point despite my own attraction to the goddess even in her normal form, let alone whatever the hell she had become now due to the fact my feelings were based upon his in the first place. However, the second as a clear failure on my part hurt my ego so much more.

As someone who was almost defined by arrogance, her words took a sledgehammer to my own self-image.

"So what, I don't care what the hell you two have been doing! I don't care if he sticks it up your perfect ass and makes you squeal like a... Why are you laughing?" I shouted in annoyance as the goddess began to laugh interrupting me.

"I don't squeal thank you but thanks for the compliment." She said with amusement completely derailing my thought process mid-tirade as my eyes widened as I briefly considered the implication. I had been making a point, she was not supposed to confirm they were actually doing that.

By the time I had got rid of that mental image and focused back on the real world. I realised that the goddess had stripped down again to nothing but her thong and I was again stuck for words looking at her bare chest.

"Now that I have control over both your attention and your erection, let me make something abundantly clear. I am tolerating your existence as much as I do that annoying bitch that acts as my discount doppelganger. But only because wiping you off the face of the planet, could affect my own happiness. If you fuck up and I need to sort it out, I will make you suffer for any inconvenience I have to experience. You can ask Lust how fun it is to crawl out of hell, because that is nothing compared to what I will make you go through." Harmony threatened as I felt the aura again being released by the goddess beginning to smother my consciousness.

After what felt far longer than the actual thirty seconds it was, the goddess suddenly relaxed and was again fully dressed in the blink of an eye.

"So, I assume you understand what I am saying, play nice, be a good boy and you may get a treat one day. If you don't well... then I get to see how well you ride the baloney pony. I will soon borrow some stuff from Thalia that will make you regret ever getting consciousness back again."

"And people say that I am arrogant, who says that I want to have sex with you. You are second-hand-" I said now indignant before suddenly freezing mid-sentence. Unmistakeably the goddess's golden eye was glowing in an all too familiar way. Now this along with a vague memory of last time sent alarm bells ringing far more than any other thing she could do. If she too had control over time, I had lost my trump card and had no real form of protection from her.

"How about you shut up and listen right now! I may not be Athena but I am more than capable of thinking of a way to deal with a problem. If I wanted to, I could destroy you in entirety without lifting a finger or even doing any significant damage to Percy. I can regress the consciousness that is Perseus all the way back to before it was manifested properly and then freeze it there at the back of Percy's memory. Remember, you have only been around for a few weeks since the solstice, that is nothing despite your own domain over Time. So let me re-iterate, play nice and one day I may let you fuck me. If not, I WILL fuck you mind, body and soul so hard, you will no longer even exist apart from as an unpleasant memory. This is your only warning. You can do whatever you want in the world, I don't care. But the moment that it starts to affect me, you had better hope that your counterpart did a fucking good job that morning." She concluded venomously before suddenly disappearing. Leaving me in stunned wide-eyed silence for the next five minutes.

Despite knowing that I could move my body now, I instead sat perfectly still replaying that threat over and over again. From what she had shown in having greater power over time than me just then it was not too much to believe that she was being entirely candid in what she could do to me. Chronos had proved that I while my body was immortal my mind was not, it had a clearly known start point of the moment Percy became a true divine. It was just several months later than I actually became self-aware. If she had the power that she claimed she did, it was not beyond reason that she could send me back to the time between those two points and freeze me there. Causing my own death of personality even if I was eventually allowed to remanifest eventually as the experiences would be different from that point.

I knew I was mentally fucked up and had a warped sense of right and wrong, that did not mean that I wanted to not exist at all. In one threat she had actually managed to give me, an immortal who basically feared nothing including physically dying and going to hell, Thanatophobia.

All the while also offering the chance of sex for good behaviour.

I want to go back two weeks, back to when the world was normal!

(Percy)

"So... uh... What has got you all worked up?" I asked still panting, spoiling the post-coital silence that had overtaken the small rocky island we were laying upon.

The naked goddess was simply staring up at the sky and the sun high above as if challenging it. Hopefully Apollo had that on autopilot today.

I mean I was not complaining, but one minute I was flying over the Aegean, the next I was being wrestled out of the air and being half-stripped before I even knew what was happening. Now it was more pleasurable than aimlessly flying around barren empty islands repeatedly, trying to detect any signs of the lost Hunter like I had been for the last two days.

But it was also very much out of the blue and she had been quiet yet aggressive the whole time.

"Shitheads awake again." She said at last with a tone of clear annoyance whilst folding her arms under her breasts.

Now it didn't take me more than two seconds to realise who she must be talking about. In fairness, I was quite surprised that Pride had taken this long to come back around.

"So, what did he say that got you all worked up about?" I asked laying a palm on her bare shoulder after a few seconds she finally let out a deep sigh.

"That's the thing, he didn't really say anything. He sat there like a deer in the headlights for the most part almost unable to talk to me, unless I covered up almost my entire body." She said and I began to actually realise the real problem.

Harmony actually wanted to show off and bully my counterpart whilst trying to get him to annoy her like usual. In the past Perseus was more powerful than her but he couldn't do anything because of me, both physically stopping him and his inherited feelings getting in the way of his thoughts. Now the tables were turned she wanted to return the favour and he was indecisive.

"So, you got pissed off because Pride wouldn't look at you in a sexual manner?" I asked nervously.

"At this point he is basically Perseus again, there is hardly any difference between you and him aura wise... But that is beside the point, what is the point of teasing someone with what they cannot have. If he is going to act in such a way that your average teenage virgin would tell him to man up!" She complained childishly her voice rising in pitch.

"You know that even if he was complete again completely, he is still technically a teenage virgin." I said rolling my eyes as the goddess's visible eye suddenly began to move around frantically as she considered that statement and its implications.

"I thought you trying to tease him with what he could not have? I know you are now planning on trying to deflower my innocent aspect." I said trying not to laugh at the obscenity of this situation.

"Innocent my arse." She scoffed before rolling onto her side so she was now facing me.

"It is a very nice arse though and also not that innocent either." I said with a grin.

"Besides aren't you worried that he could be a better performer?" She countered sultrily. Now of course with the nature of our relationship and our split personality nature. It was inevitable that at some point the two were going to hook up, I knew that back before Harmony manifested and secretly had a mental bet that it would likely be Artemis who would sleep with him first. The belligerent sexual tension between the two was amusing to watch despite how much they pretended to despise one another. Diana though far more cordial to him personally and he in turn pretended to prefer her I saw as less likely. No, it was far more likely that our Greek Aspects would end up hooking up after an argument that would turn into angry sex than anything pre-planned.

The fact that the first thing she did after he woke up was to try and tease him into a provocation was definitely more of the Artemis side of her than Diana.

"Judging by the way you say he acted I don't think I have much to worry about, besides I had a hell of an instructor and yet I still have a lot to learn." I said with a cheeky wink and a smile before suddenly finding myself under further 'instruction' for the rest of the afternoon.

(Perseus)

Despite the emotional crisis I was undergoing, after twenty minutes I realised that hanging around inside the goddess's tent was not doing me any favours. Plus, I reckoned that she had some way of knowing everything I was doing inside of it, judging by the way she had turned up immediately after I regained consciousness.

Now the last thing I remembered before I blacked out was that Hunt was still in New Rome. Now with the fact that I had been in a tent it was rather obvious to assume we had finally got out of that political hellhole.

Taking the name 'The Hunt' to heart I assumed that after leaving they would go back to some nice patch of woodland or plains, maybe even up in the mountains.

Somewhere where they could practice their skills to full effectiveness.

Instead, I got a shitty, little rocky island with no redeeming features about it. This was the very opposite of the place they would be hanging out, if I was running this show. Were it not for the dozen tents, campfire and stools located nearby there was nothing that would make it stand out to me apart from some ruins in the distance on the other end of the island.

"Where the fuck are we?" I asked confused having no idea what they were doing here of all places. Looking around quickly and using my sixth sense I realised I was also completely alone in the camp.

Turning back around I poked my head back inside the Artemis/Diana/Harmony's tent to see if there was any hint clearly visible. Before realising this was a goddess who I had never seen write anything down in the six months 'we' had been dating. I had been dyslexic for most of my life and I still wrote down far more than she probably ever did in several thousand years.

So, pulling my head back out I turned about only to find a large golden muzzle right in front of my face. Now despite obviously knowing exactly what I was face to face with, the fact that she had snuck up on me A) Silently, B) Full Sized and C) without me so much as detecting her presence. May have scared the hell out of me for a second as I leapt backwards tripping over and falling back inside the tent on my arse. Any high-pitched sounds that happened at the same time were just the wind blowing on this dead rock pile of an island.

Quickly pulling myself up I came back outside and looked at the enormous lioness who sitting on her backside towered over even me. Glaring at the monster-turn-sacred beast I wondered if that tongue poking out the front of her mouth was panting or if that was her way of laughing at me too.

Even now I was looking directly at her and yet I could barely sense her presence. Considering what she was in reality, the signal she gave off to me was no more than a normal sized mammal like a dog or a deer.

'Will you stop evolving for two seconds." I said with exasperation albeit smiling as I did so and reaching up and rubbing her neck as she lowered her head and purred.

Say what you will out of all the Immortals I knew I had the best pet by a country mile. Blackjack was cool to look at, with the adamantium wings and hooves and all that cool stuff. But the fact that he was also my nephew meant it was a bit weird to think of him as a pet. Plus, there was the fact that seeing as I could fly his role in my day-to-day life was a bit redundant. Not that the horse was that bothered of course, he had all the street cred of saying he was with me. Something that opened the stall doors of many a stable for the fast-talking stallion.

In comparison Nemea said nothing but was more than capable of emoting her wishes or displeasures. Openly seemed to hate any other form of feline creature or even something with the likeness of one, out of perhaps some strange sense of superiority over them. Doubly so if it was male, perhaps then she was the closest a monster could get to becoming a real hunter. Because, she certainly had the attitude towards the opposite sex down to a tee. That and she could be absolutely adorable as a cub one minute or terrifyingly capable of turning overweight ex-Praetors into a 'manwich' the next. Something I personally had no issue with her doing unlike my counterpart. Besides it was not that she would stop there given the opportunity, there was only a few divines that I would say could actually fight the divine beast.

Then again, she spent more time around them recently than even their own goddess did, so perhaps it was to be expected. Perhaps she saw them as her own surrogate cubs or fellow pride members?

For the next minute I got engrossed in rubbing the golden beast as she fell onto her side heavily and rolled upside down all the while mumbling and purring gratitude seemingly.

"See at least you like me." I joked half-heartedly even as I used both hands to kneed the armoured fur coat across her chest. I liked to think that noises the large lioness was making was some form of agreement with that sad, pathetic fact.

(Thalia)

After two days on the island things had finally calmed down for the most part. Sure, the island did not offer much in the way of natural excitement. But the truth was that was actually for the better after the last few weeks. It meant that we Hunters could actually slowly acclimatise back into our natural rhythm. For the first time since we had gone to New Rome almost a month ago, we were actually working on our own skills in our own ways without restriction.

Of course, unlike before there was the obvious change in the interactions between our goddess and our 'Guardian'. But if anything, the pair had seemingly calmed down a little over the last few days. They would keep any intimate actions with one another to the bare minimum around us at least. Which was a lot less than I had been up to over the last few evenings.

However, that was only when the two of them were actually around us. Whilst we for the most part getting back to basics, particularly we all together chose to help Marina with her training as this was her first time out in the field. So, in addition to the two divines who were doing their own individual searches from the air covering far more ground than we could do in anywhere near as much time. The older group of Zoe, Phoebe and Atlanta had left to search some of the larger islands that Harmony had identified.

This was not due purely due to the fact that she believed the rest of us would be too slow. But purely as a matter of logistics, the larger group of us that remained would have more trouble moving from place to place unlike the smaller group who were using Blackjack to get around between islands.

Of course, I had volunteered to take Reyna if we could get hold of Scipio and go look ourselves. That got shot down really quick by Harmony, officially as the most senior Hunter I was to remain and coordinate the remaining girls training in her own absence. In reality it was for the obvious reason that she knew the pair of us would not even be trying to search for the long-lost Hunter. Besides neither of us spoke modern Greek if it came to dealing with the locals unlike the two oldest hunters and Phoebe had picked up enough from her best friend over the years to get by.

Still, it wasn't all bad at least. Delos may be devoid of life now but there was still plenty of side activities we could do in our free time. Whether that was abseiling up the side of a cliff or enjoying one of the few sandy beaches that were for our exclusive use. One unexpected positive of Hera's curse was that there was zero risk of getting stung by jellyfish whilst swimming.

Swimming itself had never been one of my preferred past times even when I went to school all those years ago in California. I mean I learned to swim in so much as I could swim a few lengths of a pool and not reliably drown afterwards. But swimming in the sea was never high on my list of priorities, that was for Poseidon's kids after all. Then again, I also didn't do heights either, so guess I really failed to live up to my own expertise.

Besides, when swimming was involved that meant swimsuits were required and that brought me back to my own self-esteem issues. Now when I was younger that was not a major issue because all us' kids wore identical suits and all pretty much looked identical. No, it was only after my death and resurrection that I began to become conscious of the difference between the girls around me and the lack of 'development' I was undergoing. That short period of time when I went to the same school as Annabeth, I noticed the changes that were happening on my best friend long before Percy ever did.

Joining the Hunters should have allayed all those issues as we were all stuck in younger bodies for the most part. We would bathe together and no one said anything it to one another. Well, if you did that was a sure-fire way of getting a blunt arrow to the back of the head by a certain pre-teen goddess.

Ironically, it was looking at her 'adult' form and Diana that caused my insecurities to rear their ugly head. Not because I was attracted to her back in those days, but because it made me question if our shared heritage meant I should look more like the beautiful goddess than I did say... Nico.

So, the satisfaction that I was feeling as I lay on a towel by the shore wearing nothing but a bikini was tantamount to bliss. Admittedly what I chose to wear was far tamer than I would have worn were it not for the other Hunters being nearby.

Even though it was still considered winter after two days of uninterrupted sunshine, my skin had begun to change back to what could be considered normal for a healthy young woman. No more could my pallor be described as sickly or even death-like. Well apart from the areas between some rather prominent tan lines, though only Reyna had seen those.

Speaking of whom, she was sitting a short distance away her back against a rock as she occasionally alternated between looking at the Latin text novel in her hands and the two young girls swimming nearby. Of course, there was zero danger of the mermaid girl drowning even when she would disappear for minutes at a time in an effort to sneak up on the daughter of Hermes who was currently standing on a shallow shoal about thirty meters out from the shoreline. Still the pair appeared to be having fun in their impromptu game of Jaws and that was good enough for me.

"Nemea has disappeared." Reyna said as I lifted my sunglasses and looked towards the shaded cliff base, where the Lioness had been laying the last time, I looked a few minutes ago. Sure, enough the spot was now empty and there was only one set of tracks to the spot and not away from there. Which meant she must have shadow travelled away in a hurry.

"I am sure it is nothing to worry about, it is not like there is anything dangerous on this island, or really anything at all." I said waving the matter off before knocking my shades back over my eyes and going back to enjoying the last of the afternoon sun.

However, not twenty minutes later I got an unfortunate reminder of my current completely mortal state as the sudden urge to go to the little girl's room became more than a suggestion. This was the biggest downside to my current condition, which for what I had gained in return, was not so bad to put up with for a few more days.

"Got to go." I told Reyna before pushing myself to my feet, grabbing my sandals and towel and took off towards the slope that headed back up towards the camp. Leaving the laughing Roman Huntress behind to mind the other two, I hurriedly ascended the craggy bath despite the fact I was wearing such a poor choice in footwear for the job.

However, halfway up I had a sudden realisation, why was I going by foot when I could fly? I only walked down the slope earlier because I was with the others.

Sure enough, less than a minute later I was descending into the camp outside my tent and hurriedly ran inside searching for the roll of toilet paper I knew was inside somewhere. Normally the room was immaculate, however over the last few nights Reyna and I had somewhat neglected housekeeping in favour of other activities.

If anyone else poked their head in, it would take them about five seconds to realise that the pair of us were more than just friends. Spotting the roll of TP not far from the large silicon toy that had become my nemesis. I hurriedly grabbed the roll in one hand before grabbing the other object and looking for somewhere to hide it out of view.

"Yo!" A male voice said from behind me as I froze in place, hoping to all that was holy that was not who I thought it was. I mean by the voice it was fifty-fifty on who it could be. But going be the precedent of the last two days, the better option did not normally return until near-dark.

Ever so slowly I rotated my head whilst shaking with embarrassment as my eyes locked with a surprised set of golden ones.

(Perseus)

I was distracted from playing with the lioness when I felt a presence quickly enter the campsite. Nemea too seemingly picked up on it as her head turned in the direction of the newcomer before seemingly deciding it was not worth it, or it was someone who was supposed to be here.

What however confused me was that the person was only a demigod and not a Hunter, causing me to climb to my feet and walk over in the direction of a tent on the outskirts of the campsite. Sensing the mysterious newcomer inside I poked my head inside the entrance.

"Yo!" I said simply before both of us became simultaneously surprised.

Now it stood to reason that she was shocked at having been found in the otherwise empty camp. Me I was surprised by the sight of the busty blacked haired woman standing in front of me wearing nothing but a bikini holding toilet paper in one hand and a large sex toy in the other.

Slowly the woman's head turned to face me and I found myself looking into a familiar pair of electric-blue eyes.

"Thalia?" I asked suddenly very confused, as I overlayed the mental image of the daughter of Zeus I knew and the woman currently standing in front of me. Facially the two were very similar apart from the longer hair she had now, but it was below the neckline where the most obvious changes had occurred.

For the second time since I woke up today, I was speechless in front of a half-naked busty daughter of Zeus. Which considering I had met exactly two people so far; meant I was extremely lucky or possibly unlucky considering all I could do was freeze up around them.

"Oh, gods just kill me now!" Thalia dropping to her knees and actually starting to cry, were it not for the piece of silicon still gripped tightly in her hand she would look like she needed help. Instead, as it was the whole absurdity of the situation convinced me to swiftly turn around and walk away silently back towards the lioness who cocked her head curiously at me as I sat down next to her still wide-eyed from the whole situation.

Despite however I played the scene over and over in my head, I got nothing. No explanation, no reasoning, only further confusion and more questions. All I knew was that Harmony had to be in some way responsible, after all she must have had to remove Thalia from the Hunt in the first place.

Once again, I want to go back two weeks, back to when the world was normal!

(Thalia)

Were it not for my continued need to use the lavatory, I would have quite literally sat on the floor until I died. The worst possible person had caught me in the worst possible situation. There was no real way of explaining my way out of what he had seen. The only way it could have been worse was if he caught me using the damned thing, I mean I brought it based on the words of the goddess about 'him'.

So, after spending five minutes wallowing in self-pity. I hurriedly put my uniform back on went out and found a secluded spot did my business before slowly walking back into the campsite towards the large golden lioness who dominated the central area. Sitting on the ground leaning against her left forepaw, was other half of the Titan Lord I knew so well.

Now I knew that like Percy, he did not need to see someone to know they were there but even so it was not until I was within a few feet of him did he actually seemingly bother to acknowledge my presence. Looking up from the floor at my feet, he seemed to actually let out a sigh of relief at seeing I was fully dressed.

"So, whose choice was this then?" He asked rhetorically catching me by surprise as I expected him to talk about what he had seen instead.

"Mine, Harmony just provided the means." I answered still unsure what to expect from the aspect.

"Figures... Don't suppose she told you that you would likely die if you did it. I mean it is a really stupid idea to try in the first place. Then again, I am only here as a result of stupid ideas my entire life, so I am not one to talk."

"Percy said the same thing already. So, you don't have to lecture me as well!" I complained but if anything, he seemed to smile at my statement.

"So about before... I can explain..." I began only to stop once he raised a hand and looked me in the eyes.

"Explain what? I have no idea what you are talking about, this is the first time we have talked in weeks." He said firmly seemingly willing to just completely ignore what had happened earlier for whatever reason. Not that I was complaining of course, but with Perseus or Pride or whatever he currently was calling himself there was usually an angle to be played.

"So, you are awake again then?" I said changing the subject hurriedly.

"Kind of wish I wasn't in fairness; everything seems to have turned insane whilst I was out. Artemis is living a power fantasy, I am on an island fuck knows where in the world, you have grown up." He said sounding weary of the situation already.

"Delos, we are on the island of Delos." I said answering that question at least.

"Artemis's birthplace? Wow it is crapper than I could have possibly guessed. No wonder she is doing who knows what instead, where are all the rest of the Hunters anyway?" He asked and I realised that he was massively out of the loop with current affairs.

"Let me explain everything to you." I said sitting down on the ground opposite him.

(Percy)

As easy as it was for the pair of us to lay there for the rest of the day, we ended up getting back into the search after finishing our second round on the island. Each heading in different directions, as I headed slowly East towards the Turkish Coast while Harmony went south.

However, the search would continue to be fruitless as the sun began to settle towards the western horizon causing me to give up for another day.

Deep down I suspected the whole search was an exercise in futility. Much like the search Artemis carried out more than two-thousand years ago, we had no real proof of Delia's survival apart from a few potential clues. At least with quests, the clues were usually cryptic so that no one could guess at the time how it would play out but made sense in hindsight. We didn't even have that, we had a few broken bits of arrow and some weeds that were growing where they shouldn't have been able to.

Flying down low so I was skipping over the waves, I reached into my pocket and threw a drachma into the spray below.

Saying the chant to the goddess of rainbows, the scene changed to showing three hunters gathered around a small fire. Behind them a large black Pegasus could be seen laying on the ground.

"Yo! Any joy on your end today?" I asked as first Atlanta followed by the other two noticed the Iris message appear.

"Nothing we thought we had something, but it was just a few empousai that were living on a remote island." Zoe said in such a way that made it clear the empousai were now past tense.

"No issues I take it then that you need help with?" I asked not expecting much, these were not rookie demigods on their first quest. They were quite possibly the best the Hunt had to offer.

"Not unless you are offering to get your horse gelded." Phoebe shouted momentarily stunning me, causing me to miss a wing flap dropping a few feet so my shoes momentarily went under water. In the image I was looking at Blackjack suddenly shot his head up in alarm.

"Boss they are all mean to me, listen she came onto me. How was I supposed to say no?" The horse complained as I cocked an eyebrow. Considering what had happened earlier with Harmony I was in no position to admonish the stallion.

"Bro just take her details and come back later on once we are done. Listen these girls will more than happily do it if you give them reason enough." I told him as sure enough Atlanta suddenly began to twirl a knife about causing the Pegasus to shudder and duck his head under his wing. I felt bad for getting him involved in the search especially working with these three but I also trusted him with them and vice-versa. As long as there were not any young European mares to catch his attention.

"Listen if anything comes up just give me or Harmony a shout and we will be there straight away. Speak to you tomorrow." I said as the girls smiled or waved as the image faded as the light began to no longer reach sea level.

Spotting one final island about ten miles away I carried on flying, just so that I could chalk this area of the search pattern when I returned and not have to come back tomorrow.

Now ten miles should not take me more than a few minutes to fly even with the strong headwind in the area. But instead after five minutes it felt like I had made no real progress towards the island, below me the water was becoming far choppier and the darkening sky was not helped by the sudden rain squall I now found myself in. I was not able to get wet but the visability hindrance was annoying.

Yet my nautical senses told me I was still making good progress across the sea.

So why did it feel like I was no closer to reaching the island?

Reaching into my pocket I pulled out the golden baton form of Firestorm before expanding it into its flaming spear form. Increasing the light aura of the weapon and again reflecting it off my wings I used it as an impromptu lighthouse shining a beam of light towards the still distant island.

Only to panic as the light pierced through the illusion and I found myself on a crash course directly towards a cliff face less than a hundred yards ahead of me.

"Oh shi-" I exclaimed whilst stretching my wings out as wide as possible. I only narrowly managed to slow down enough that I was able to grab onto the cliff itself and use my hands to stop my remaining motion.

Sitting there I must have looked like a giant golden bat hanging sideways from the cliff face. Below me the sea raged against the feet of the rocks.

"Erm... Harmony I think I found something strange!" I shouted knowing that she would hear me in the same way she seemingly knew everything else I did.

(Harmony)

"Interesting, it shouldn't exist and yet sure enough it does." I mused to myself as I focused on the empty patch of sea far below. Were it not for the flying golden form of my fiancé directly above the hidden mystery island I would think nothing of this particular patch of the Aegean.

I had to give my lover credit, only he could stumble on something like this. Now I had no proof it was anything to do with our search for Delia. But it was certainly interesting and that was good enough for me.

Besides, nothing was a coincidence with Percy Jackson, someone was still playing with his fate after all.

Spreading my own silver wings, I slowly walked off the back of the chariot, rapidly descending towards the ocean below, only once I was about to hurtle past the golden Titan did, I suddenly spread my wings out. Barely slowing my descent enough that by the time the hidden island came into sight and I smashed through a tree canopy, I still needed to bend a knee and use my left hand to absorb the last of the impetus.

Standing up, I looked towards the sky through the hole I had created. Just in time to see Percy let out a sigh, as he slowly descended to my side.

The island we were on could not have been any more different to Delos, where my birthplace was barren. This island looked like something out of that dinosaur movie, large ferns covered the ground even as large trees towered over the pair of us.

"So, are we sure that Dinosaurs are not real?" Percy jokingly asked mirroring my own thoughts.

"Positive, or at least as far as I am aware they do not anymore..." I stated as sure as possible. Besides we lived in a world inhabited by dragons, wyverns and drakes, I was not concerned about those 'terrible lizards' either, with one possible exception that remained sealed away.

'As I was now, maybe I could give it a go...' I thought to myself remembering the Great Dragon Emperor that still resided under its mountain.

'One thing at a time.' I reminded myself remembering I was already supposed to be focusing on the current issue. Speaking of which though, I needed to find out from Hecate how Morganna was doing at some point. After all, it had been several weeks since I had last seen the missing Hunter.

Back on the other subject though, Dinosaurs were a relic of the long period of time before even the Titans had been born. When the only intelligent life was Gaia and the other primordial gods and even then, they were docile and rarely interacted with one another ever so slowly shaping the world as we know it today.

"If you are wrong, I am totally capturing one and riding it." Percy said almost excitedly as I looked at him wanting to tell him to grow up.

"It would be nice to see you actually using that Hunting Domain once in a while, so sure go for it." I teased as he stuck his tongue out at me in return.

Obviously unlike Delos I could sense life all around me and hear the calls of birds in the trees above, below my feet small mammals continued to nest oblivious of the two divines standing amongst them.

Relying on the light given off by the both of our wings, the pair of us walked hand in hand into the mysterious island's interior.

All the while, a pair of yellow slitted eyes blinked horizontally as they regarded the pair of us down the shaft of an arrow from the shadows high above.

AN. Perseus welcome back to the madhouse. Harmony is considering both wanting to make Morganna's grandfather into boots whilst deflowering Perseus, willing or not. Thalia needs to tidy her room, Blackjack needs to watch his balls and Percy needs to just carry on being Percy (ridiculously lucky). Anyone would think someone was playing with his Fate string out of amusement at this point.

Next up time to bring this mystery together before anyone strangles someone.
