Chapter 5: Working Duties
It is a peaceful morning in the Amazon Rainforest. Blu and Banjo is about to go to work as the leaders of the Spix Macaw Tribe. Eduardo give them the leadership to his son-in-law Blu and his nephew Banjo after they lead everyone against the loggers. Eduardo talk to the brothers about being leaders.
Blu and Banjo got their families breakfast.
"Here guys." Blu (shows his family Brazil nuts).
"Thank you honey." Jewel said.
"You're welcome." Blu said.
"Ready to work as a leadership with Uncle Banjo, dad." Bia said.
"Yes I am." Blu said.
"You boys got to eat first." Grace said.
"You are right Grace." Blu said.
Blu and Banjo ate Brazil nuts before going to work.
"Okay we ate breakfast." Blu said,
"Have a good day Blu and Banjo. Remember, don't work so hard." Jewel said.
"I will try honey. It's mine and Banjo's job to keep all the tribe safe from any possible danger." Blu said.
"Blu, ready to go to work." Banjo said.
"You know it brother." Banjo said.
Blu and Banjo are working together as leaders. He sees two male blue macaws fighting over a Brazil nut.
"Hey I want that Brazil nut." Valentino said angrily to the other male blue macaw which is Sebastian
"No I want it. Give it to me, it's mine." Sebastian said angrily to Valentino.
Blu and Banjo decide to settle the argument between the two.
"What seems to be the problem?" Blu asked the two macaws.
"I wanted the Brazil nut until Sebastian saw me with that and saying he wanted it." Valentino said.
"Guys there are a lot of Brazil nuts in the Amazon." Blu said.
" I got an idea. Give me the Brazil nut." Blu said.
Valentino gives Blu the Brazil nut. Blu cuts the Brazil nut in half.
Blu gives the Brazil nut to Valentino and Sebastian. "Now you both have a Brazil nut." Blu said.
"Yes enjoy. Sharing is caring." Banjo said.
"Wow thank you Blu and Banjo." Valentino said.
Blu and Banjo smiles at Valentino and Sebastian. "You're welcome." The brothers said.
"Sebastian, I'm sorry for fighting over a Brazil nut." Valentino said.
"It's okay, I forgive you." Sebastian said.
Valentino and Sebastian eat Brazil nuts.
"See brother we are a team." Blu said.
"Yes we are." Banjo said.
"Blu and Banjo, we have a meeting." Roberto said.
"That's right." Blu said.
Blu and Banjo had to attend an important meeting along the Blue Macaws elders and it was mandatory for leaders to attend. As Blu and Banjo arrived at the hollow where the meeting is taking ardo, Roberto, Peter, and Garth is at the meeting too.
"Alright everybody, thank you all for coming to the meeting. We are happy to have you guys." Roberto said.
"The meeting is about how should we protect the Amazon Rainforest from loggers, poachers, and smugglers?" Eduardo asked everyone.
Blu (raise his wing).
"Blu." Eduardo said.
"When we see bad humans, we should stop them." Blu said.
"We can, you and your brother were the one that lead everyone against the loggers." Eduardo said.
"Yes we did." Blu said
"What else? Eduardo asked everyone.
Banjo (raise his wing).
"Banjo." Eduardo said.
"If we see bad humans. My human friends Linda, Tulio, Daisy, and Fred can call the police on the evil people." Banjo answered.
"That is true." Blu said.
As the meeting went on. Eduardo, Roberto, and the Blue Macaws elders discussed about protecting the Amazon Rainforest from bad humans. Blu and Banjo took notes. After the meeting ended, all the blue macaws went home. Blu and Banjo went home.
"Hi Blu how was work with your brother?" Jewel asked her mate.
"It went well. It was an argument between the two macaws. Banjo and I took care of it." Blu answered his wife.
"We had an important meeting." Banjo said.
"Good to hear. Glad you guys are working together as a team." Jewel said.
"Glad you guys working together as leaders." Grace said.
"Yeah, two is better than one." Blu said.
"Yes it is Blu." Banjo said.
"You guys are doing great as our leaders." Bia said.
"Yeah but remember you can take some days off." Carla said.
"Yeah, spend time with your families." Tiago said.
"When you work so hard, you can get sick." Belle said.
"Belle right. It's okay to take days off too and spend time with families." Crystal said.
"I agree. Eduardo will understand that days off is important." Junior said.
"When you have those days off, we can have fun with you dad and Uncle Blu." Max said.
"You guys are right, we promise not to work to hard." Blu said.
"Sometimes we need vacation." Banjo said.
"That's my boys." Grace said.
"Proud of you both." Jewel said.
Blu and Banjo smiles.
After a few days, Blu and Banjo take a few days off and they told Eduardo and Peter, they understand. Blu spend time with his family and Banjo spend time with his family. They need days off sometimes and they listened to their family members.
Taking a day off is important for your mental and physical health. It's give your body to reset, recharge, and recover.
