I ran across the rooftops as the sun was setting before I arrived at my destination. I leaped down and grabbed onto the window sill, swinging into Sandstorm's room.
3.2.1. I thought as Sandstorm came in.
"Hey kid."
"Oh Mason, what are you doing here?"
"Well, you know how Falcon is going to ask Jaguar to marry him tonight."
"Yeah."
"You want to watch?"
"Are you suggesting that we spy on them?"
"Yep."
"But isn't that kind of wrong?"
"Come on, don't you want to see your friends being cute together?"
"Well, yeah."
"And this is a way you can do that, and they won't know we're there, so we won't ruin the moment."
"Alright, I go. I always wanted to see them being cute together."
"That's the spirit. Now come on, they should be starting soon," I say, turning into my dragon persona and taking off with Sandstorm right behind me.
We flew to a small clearing in the forest and landed behind some bushes. A few moments later, they arrived.
"So this is the spot you chose for our date," Jaguar said.
"Yeah, I know how much you can miss the rainforest, so I did the next best thing, the forest. I thought we could just sit and talk."
"That's really sweet, thank you," she said, rubbing against him, turning rosy-pink. Usually, Jaguar was good at controlling her scales to their normal purple and yellow spots, but she was no Glory, and being around her boyfriend made her lose all control of them.
As they were sitting, watching the sunset, Jaguar asked,
"Do you remember when we first met?"
"How could I forget? I still can't believe that you managed to get them to buy your fruit."
"I just saw an opportunity and took it. I still can't believe that you got a whole gang angry at you."
"Well, you know how dragons can get over our persuasiveness."
"You can say that again."
"What are they talking about?" Sandstorm whispered into my ear.
"I'll tell you later." The sun had fallen below the horizon, and Oracle was full.
"Do you ever wonder what it's like up there on the moons?" Falcon asked.
"Yeah, there could be life up there, and we would never know. They could be looking down at us thinking the same thing."
"Well, if they do exist, I wonder what they would look like. They probably look nothing like us."
"Well, if they don't look anything like us, I hope they have fruit or vegetables. I could make a fortune off them."
"Ha, you always are looking for opportunities to get rich."
"You know you are too."
"Guilty as charged," he said. Then he took a deep breath and said,
"Jag."
"Yeah, Fal."
"You're the smartest, funniest, kindest dragon I know. I would fly to the ends of the earth for you." Jaguar looked at him, confused as to why he was saying this all of a sudden.
"If I could restart my life, I wouldn't change a thing that led me to meeting you. I love you more than anything, so I ask you." He said, pulling out a diamond ring. Jaguar gasped.
"Jaguar, will you marry me?" Jaguar hugged him and said,
"Yes, yes, yes, I will. I love you so much."
"I love you too," he said, kissing her. They kissed for a long time before they pulled apart.
"When should we have the wedding?" Falcon asked.
"Oh, Rainwings don't really do weddings."
"Really? Well, Skywings do, but it's usually just the pairing in the clouds saying some ritual words."
"Well, in that case, let's do it tomorrow."
"Sounds good," he said, kissing her again.
"Let's go," I tell Sandstorm, walking away then eventually flying.
"You're probably curious about how they first met."
"Yep."
"Well, you see, Falcon sold a gold-covered necklace to a gang leader, but the gang leader misunderstood and thought it was solid gold. So when they found out, they brought their gang to his shop and asked for a refund. And when he refused, they all pulled daggers out. Falcon escaped through the back door, but they followed. As he was being chased, he hid behind Jaguar's stand. When the gang asked Jaguar if they had seen Falcon, she said that she hadn't seen anyone of that description, and she managed to convince them to buy some of her fruit to help them on their chase. After that, he said thank you, and they introduced themselves, and then they became friends and eventually lovers."
"Well, that clears things up."
"So how did you like your first time spying on lovers?"
"It was fun and cute. How much do you do this?"
"Anytime I can."
"Well, invite me next time."
"I will invite you whenever I can."
"Well, we're back at my place. See you…"
"Soon, you will see me soon."
"Well, see you soon then. Bye."
"See you soon," I say, teleporting to the Rainforest.
"Time to introduce myself to the Queen and her boyfriend," I thought, running through the jungle like Tarzan. When I got to their hut, I climbed through the window, intentionally making enough noise to wake them. Deathbringer threw a disk at me, but I caught it before it hit me.
"Nice aim, Deathbringer. That would have killed me if I wasn't me."
"Uh, thanks?"
"Alright, who are you, and what are you doing in the queen's hut? As a matter of fact, how did a human get up here?" Glory said, getting up from beside Deathbringer.
"I'm Mason Rivera, God of the multiverse. I assume you have heard of me."
"Yes, I have gotten letters about you from J.M.A., and Kinkajou has told me about your escapades."
"Then you should know I'm not a threat."
"Not for now, at least."
"Fair."
"So why are you here? Do you need something from us?" Deathbringer said accusingly.
"I simply wanted to introduce myself. You will be seeing a lot of me soon, and I wanted to meet you two before I would have to meet you under different circumstances. You can go back to cuddling now," I said as I made myself invisible.
"You took that cuddling comment really well," Deathbringer said.
"Yeah, well, you read the letters too. He knows everything, so there's no point in hiding the fact," she said, getting back in bed.
"That I love you, Deathbringer," she said, turning rosy-pink.
"I love you too."
"Good… now get back in bed, you handsome idiot."
"Whatever you say, my Queen," he said, curling up around her.
So adorable. I thought before actually leaving.
As I swung through the trees, I thought about Falcon and Jaguar's wedding, and that made me think about Qibli planning to ask Moon to marry him a few weeks after school ended next year. And that made me think of the future and what I saw.
Now what I saw, most would take as a limitation to my powers, but what I take it as is that the beginning of the end is much sooner than anyone could have possibly imagined.
I know I just damed the Guide to the dragon world a few chapters ago but now I don't have to come up with wedding traditions so ,thank the Guide to the dragon world for that.
