— 4 days later(including the one at the end of last chapter)—
I was flying to the Nightwing village and I landed in front of Hope's front door and knocked.
"Hello-" she said before gasping.
"Hello I'm Mason Rivera, I believe you have heard of me"
"Yes… I have. Moon told me about you"
"May I come in"
"Sure" she said and I went inside and sat down at a table and Hope sat across from me.
"So I assume you know-"
"About everything that happened 2,000 years ago, about Darkstakers fate" I said cutting her off "Yes Foeslayer, I know"
"Are you going to tell anyone"
"Only when, what, and who I need to"
"Well that's reassuring" she said sarcastically
"Well sometimes it's better for other dragons to know"
"I suppose you're right, I just hope that Peacemaker doesn't have to know about his past"
I wish he didn't have to learn it at such a young age.
"Well speaking of Peacemaker. Where is he?"
"He's outside playing behind the house"
"Well do you mind if I take him to the beach, there is someone I would like him to meet"
"Sure, I wouldn't mind going to the beach"
"I meant without you"
"Why?"
"Uhhh well it's uh *sigh* Something important to the future is going to happen to day"
"And you need to take him to the beach to meet that dragon"
"Precisely"
"Will he get hurt"
"No. You don't have to worry about him getting any physical injuries"
"Now that's actually reassuring"
"So will you let me take him to the beach"
"You promise that he won't get hurt"
"Cross my heart, hope to die, stick a needle in my eye"
"Is that a yes"
"I swear by the moons. Do you understand that."
"Yes, you can take him to the beach to meet whoever it is you need him to meet, but if he gets hurt I'm going to kill you"
"If he got hurt physically, I would let you". She was taken aback by this comment.
"Now come on let's tell your kid that he gets to go to the beach" I said walking to the back door with Hope following. I opened the back door and saw Peacemaker on the strawberry bush behind the back of the house.
"Peacemaker this is Mason Rivera the one Moon told you about" Hope said introducing me
"So you can do anything you want"
"Yep"
"Can you give me all the strawberries in the world"
"hahaha, I could but you have strawberries right there" I said pointing to the strawberry bush.
"But they never last long enough"
"Well how many do you eat in a day"
"Uh 15"
"That's the whole bush"
"I know, he is going to bankrupt me with the amount of strawberries he eats" Hope adds
"Well you have to savor them, try only eating one or two a day, they will last longer and they will taste better than if you eat them in one day, now why I came here. do you wanna go to the beach"
"The beach! I haven't been to the beach."
"Well then let's make it a great first time" I said to him. Well as good as it's going to get with what's going to happen today. I added in my head as four familiar dragons landed.
"Moon!" Peacemaker said running up and hugging her
"Hey Peacemaker" Moon said
"Well hello Moon, Qibli, Kinkajou, and Turtle" I said
"Mason. What are you doing here" Kinkajou asked
"Well I could ask the same thing to you"
"We saw you and wondered what you were doing here" Turtle said
"Well I was asking Peacemaker if he wanted to go to the beach, you four want to come"
"Ooo- that sounds like fun"Kinkajou said excitedly.
"I've never seen the Rainwing beach before" Turtle said.
"Well I don't think it's much different than other beaches" Moon said
"Well still I wouldn't mind a day at the beach" Qibli said
"Well looks like we're heading to the beach" I said
"Well you kids have fun" Hope said
"Are you not coming" Peacemaker asked
"No sweetie but you'll be fine. I just have something I need to do". I made sure Moon couldn't hear Hopes real thoughts and replaced them with things she needed to get done.
"Ok if you say" Peacemaker replied
"Well bye" I said
"Bye" everyone else said
"Bye, stay safe" Hope replied
"Don't worry we will" Kinkajou said "now let's go". And we all took off.
As we flew over the Rainwing village Glory spotted us and thought
"Glad Kinkajou found someone to love her, even if she doesn't relies her feelings for him are real and not because of animus magic."
"Like a proud mother, also proves Kinkajou knows nothing about her love life" I thought to Moon.
"Agree to both of those" Moon replied "are those two ever going to get together"
"You're the one that can see into the future"
"You know that's not how it works"
"I kid I kid, but yeah they do believe it or not Kinkajou figures it out eventually"
"Good to know".
When we got to the beach Turtle dove into the water with Kinkajou fallowing close behind, Moon and Qibli sat beside each other on the sand while Peacemaker was playing in it. And I was in my human form waste high in water.
"I'm going to look for someone, I'll be back soon" I said before diving into the waves. I was swimming for 30 minutes before I found who I was looking for, a small octopus, Blob.
"Hey Blob"
"Mason?"
"The one and only"
"It's been a while, where have you been"
"Well for the past 3 years I've been making sure that the timeline was on course, so that's been time consuming"
"Well glad to have you back"
"So how have you been"
"Well good, I still miss Fathom and Indigo though and I've lost touch with their descendants"
"Well I'm that case I have some dragons I want you to meet."
"Then let's go" he said getting on my head. I turned into a Seawing and started swimming to shore. When we got there I got out of the water and turned into my human persona and Peacemaker was telling a story with sick figures.
"Well these are the dragons I wanted you to meet" I said to Blob.
"And the brave warrior's name was Peacemaker" Peacemaker said telling the story. "And the Princess was name was uh Clearsight"
Here we go.
"THE ONE TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU" Darkstaker said in Peacemaker's mind
"Mason we have a situation here" Moon said
"I know" I said pulling out my special rifle from out of the void. Then I pulled out the ammo for it, a canister full of a plasma that when entered into the brain would turn any bit of Darksaker into Peacemaker. I put the ammo into the gun aimed and pulled the trigger *click*.
"Jammed" I said as I began pounding the ammo in to try and unjam it.
"I-I don't understand I don't even know her"
"Peacemaker don't listen to him" Moon said but he couldn't hear her because of the pounding headache he had.
"YOU LOVED HER BUT NOW SHE IS GONE, BUT I CAN BRING HER BACK, I CAN BRING EVERYTHING BACK, I COULD GET RID OF EVERY PROBLEM IN THE WORLD IF YOU JUST GIVE ME CONTROL"
"Ok"
"Peacemaker no!" Moon said but it was too late and Peacemaker was slowly turning back into Darksalker. When he was fully back to Darksaker he said
"First I'll get rid of these pesky problems" and he started to moving his talon to backhand them into the sea. Qibli got in front of Moon and Kinkajou. And Turtle got in front of him. Meanwhile I finally got the rifle unjammed and saw Darksalker's hand coming towards them.
"Shit!" I said then turn into my dragon persona and ran between them and his hand, Blob still on my head, just before he hit them. We all went flying. When I crashed into the sea I turned into my human persona and sunk a few feet. I saw Moon swimming up and Turtle helping Kinkajou up to the surface. I swam up and reached the surface, I looked around and saw Moon,Turtle, and Kinkajou but no Qibli.
"W-" I heard Moon say before I went below the waves again but I didn't have to be a Mindreader to know what she said next "Where is Qibli!". I dove down scanning for the Sandwing and I saw him slowly sinking down, I swam as fast as I could. When I got to him he was unconscious with air bubbles leaving his mouth. I got under him and pushed him up. I got his head above the surface just in time. Turtle went under Qibli so Qibli's stomach was on his back and swam up so both of their heads were above water. I climbed on Qibli and scanned him for injuries, he wasn't in good shape, he had lots of broken bones, was internally bleeding, and both kidneys and his liver were bruised. Turtle was better but still not good he had about 10 broken bones and his right kidney was bruised, Thankfully Moon and Kinkajou were just a little beat up. I pulled out a raft and put Qibli on it and put sedatives in him just in case. Turtle got on and I sedated him too. I cloned myself twice and they started working on them.
"What's wrong with them" Kinkajou asked as Moon and her got on the raft.
"In short Their not in good shape
"But Turtle was just-" She said before I cut her off
"Adrenaline is an amazing painkiller". Just then Blob resurfaced, I put him on my head and said
"You two stay with Qibli and Turtle, I have bigger fish to fry right now" then I turned into my dragon persona and took off towards land. It was far away but still in sight
"It shouldn't take too long" I thought heading to the Rainwing village.
—A few minutes later—
"Alright you got the plan" I said to Blob
"Yes, Your going to trough me at him and I will distract him so you can take the shot." He said.
"Alright I have enchanted you so that you can talk to dragons for 5 minutes, that should be enough time" I said as we entered sight of the Rainwing village. I saw Darkstalker Destroy Glory's hut and I saw her tumbling trough some trees falling to the ground with a thud, Deathbringer landed beside her soon after and dragged her under a pile of rubble and stayed with her.
Learn from his mistakes I see. I landed on the forest floor and turned into my human persona.
"It will take me 3.30 minutes to climb the tree and he will be there in that amount of time, so the power should be this and the angle should be that" I said then threw Blob up in the air and I started climbing the tree.
—3.30 minutes later—
I got to the optimal firing position just as Blob landed on Darkstalker's snout and started talking to him. I pulled out my rifle, took aim and just as I was about to fire 2 portals opened up behind me and 3 soldiers from each portal came out with the S.C.P. Foundation logo on their uniforms.
Uh, not now foundation" I thought as I turned around. The first portal opened up on a separate branch to my left, the second portal opened up on the same branch as mine but the branch dipped down and I had the high ground. They had their guns trained on me and the first one that came out of the second portal said.
"You are subject to containment by the S.C.P. Foundation because of your anomalous properties, surrender now or we will use force."
"I know Dr. Bright sent you so I am just going to add that to the list of things he is not allowed to do". I said pulling out a tablet.
"Dr. Bright is not allowed to send out missions to capture S.C.P. 001-1 through 6" I said, saying what I as typing. Then putting away the tablet.
"Alright you all can just walk back through the portals and no one will get hurt or we could do this the hard way." None of them moved.
"So you have chosen death." I said before I threw my gun in the air, rolled under the first guys gun, moved it to the right and hit his head with the butt of his gun knocking him off the branch. Everyone started opening fire. Then I rolled under the line of fire of the second guy moving his gun to the left causing him to shoot the three other guys on the other branch, then I pulled out my Kukri and stabbed him in the right side of his neck. Then the final guy started shooting into her dead comrade's body so I moved to face the left, almost falling off the edge, grabbed my Kukri then threw my Kukri at her, hitting right in the forehead. Her body fell to her knees, I closed the portals and pulled my Kukri from her body just before it fell off the branch towards the jungle floor, and I caught my gun. I spun My Kukri in my hand before putting it away.
"Idiots, would have died a worse death anyway" I said then went back to my firing position. When I got there I saw Darkstalker fling Blob from his snout.
"Blob!" I said, teleporting to catch him, we landed on a treetop.
"You ok" I said to him
"Yeah I'm fine" he replied. I put him on my head and looked over to where Darkstalker was, he was about to take off when I said
"Hey asshole". He turned around.
"And who are you". I shared some memories of who I was and what I've done.
"You… you're the reason I ended up like this, you're the reason why I didn't ended up with Clearsight, you're the reason why she betrayed me"
"Ohhhh no, fucked up your future, soul, and relationship with Clearsight alllllll by your self."
"… AAAAAAAAAA" he said flying straight at us I pulled out my rifle, aimed for his eye and fired. It hit him right through his pupil and directly hit his brain. He stopped flying and started falling, slowly turning into Peacemaker. I leaped after him, with blob on my head. He had just fully turned back when I grabbed him, which was coincidently when Blob's spell wore off, and I turned into my dragon persona and flew down putting him against a tree, he woke up a few moments later.
"Hey are you alright" I said. He started crying immediately after I said that. I reached out a talon, trying to put it on his shoulder.
"Hey what-" I said before he slapped my talon away.
"Get away from me! I'm a monster!" He said running away in tears. Before I chased after him I made clones for all of the wounded. (Except for Glory, I would work on her personally) Then I chased after him. I found him behind a tree, crying. I put both talons on his shoulders, he tried to get away but before he could I pulled him in for a hug, wings rapped around him, Blob went from my head to his and I let him cry into my chest.
