Sorry it's been a while, laziness and procrastination were beating my ass for a few weeks there but I'm back now. Enjoy.

—day 2 of Glory being in a coma—

I woke up curled up next to Sophia on the couch. Thankfully, Fur Musket was on her lap so I didn't have to wait for him to get up. I took off my cowboy hat from my face.

"Sophia must have put it on me when I was sleeping," I said quietly. "Actually, she must have got me and Fur Musket without waking us up somehow. Well, I can think of a thousand off the top of my head." I chuckled then got off the couch carefully so I wouldn't wake up Sophia or Fur Musket.

Time to be Winter's therapist for a bit. I thought before I teleported to his house. Winter was brooding in his room, so I teleported in front of the door to his room. I knocked on his door and waited, nothing.

"Winter, it's me Mason, so will you open this door so we can talk." I waited but still nothing. So I Spartan kicked down his door, the part that was facing me was now facing the floor and was in Winter's room.

"MASON! WHAT THE HELL!"

"You wouldn't let me in, and I need to talk to you," I said casually.

"Why do you need to talk to me anyway?" He said angrily.

"Because you're not okay," I said in a serious tone.

"You think! The dragons I trusted have been lying to me for 2 years!"

"And this is why, yes, they should have told you, but they knew you would blow up in their faces, especially after the Pyrite incident. They knew you wouldn't like what they did."

"But I might have understood back then… but why would they even trust me to begin with? I'm an angry, stuck-up jerk who yells at everyone who tries to help me. The world would probably be better without me." He said curling up in a corner.

He went there fast. Definitely struggling with something more subconscious than conscious.

"Winter, are you stupid?" I said, "you have changed over these two years and dragons care about you. Hailstorm, Kinkajou, Frost, Peril, Turtle, Camel, Sandstorm." I walked over to him and hopped on his shoulder. "Qibli and Moon."

"Not enough to choose me," he said without thinking.

"Winter, it's been 2 years since they got together. You're still not over it," I said concerned.

"I am!" He said angrily, "At least I thought I was." There was a pause. "I still love both of them, and every time I see them together it hurts. I realize it did until now, but it does, and now with this, it makes me think if they ever cared about me at all."

"They do care about you, Winter; they love you and always have."

"Then why haven't they told me yet."

"It's not an easy thing to tell someone; it's the kind of thing you tell a dragon in person. And they haven't had many opportunities to tell you about it in person."

"Well, it's not like if they love me or not matters anyway; they're together now, and it's not like we can all be together."

"Well, actually, you can, and it's relatively likely too."

"That would … be nice. But I don't think I can trust them with that kind of commitment, not yet."

"Winter, you don't have to trust them yet, you don't even have to forgive them yet, but you need to be able to understand why they did it, this time and any future time."

Damn you Tui for not keeping Winter's character development. Though I suppose it's not entirely her fault, anything she would have happened in one universe or another, but she still forgot about it so it's partially her fault.

"I'll try to do that from now on," Winter said calmly.

"Good, see you have changed, the Winter who first arrived at J.M.A. would have never accepted that."

"Yeah, you're right." Winter laughed.

"You should probably go visit Qibli now, give him a chance to apologize."

"I probably should do that. And Mason, thanks, I need this talk."

"What are friends for?" I said before hopping off his shoulder. Winter got up and saw the door still lying on the ground.

"Could you fix that."

"Huh, oh yeah, the door. Forgot about that." I said snapping my fingers, and the door went back into place.

"Well, bye then," Winter said walking through the door.

"Adios amigo."

—a few hours later—

I was watching Winter in my head, and he finally landed at the healer's hut. He went inside and walked to Qibli/Turtle's room. He saw Queen Thorn leaving the room and gave her a quick bow before entering.

"Winter?" Qibli said, shocked.

"Yeah, hey Qibli, hey Turtle."

"Winter, … I'm sorry, I'm sorry we didn't tell you about Darkstalker, we should have told you immediately and-" Qibli said before Winter interrupted him.

"Qibli, I don't necessarily trust you right now or forgive you, but I understand why you did what you did. I don't like it, but I understand."

"Thank you," Qibli said pulling him into a hug. "That's more than I can ask." Qibli's snout was turning a bit red and Winter's was turning a bit blue.

"Awww, you two are so cute," Turtle said, making me laugh. Qibli and Winter pulled apart, and Winter's snout turned deep blue and Qibli's a dark red.

"Turtle! I'm dating Moon!"

"So, it's still cute." Turtle said with a mischievous grin on his face.

"Anyway, I'm surprised you took this so well, Winter," Qibli said.

"Well, I had a talk with Mason before I came here, and he was surprisingly good at getting me through this."

"Huh, I guess that makes sense."

"Hey before I go, do any of you have any more secrets I should know about."

"Well, I guess I have one, but it's not really my place to tell, I doubt that you would care about it anyway," Turtle said.

"Okay? how about you Qibli."

"Uh, well, you see, a few weeks after we get out of school I'm planning on asking Moon to marry me."

"Really, that's great, I'm happy for you guys." Turtle said.

"I'm… happy for you too, I really am, you two deserve each other." Winter said trying to hide the sadness that he felt as he realized that he would never have a chance at being with either of them.

"Oh if you knew how wrong you are," I said to myself. "Oh well, it's not my place to intervene. If he doesn't realize than he will find someone else anyway… well hopefully. But if I get shit right and with a bit of luck then he probably will."
