I woke up in my bed, Mountain curled up beside me. It was yesterday that Glory had woken from her coma. I went outside my room and saw my mom at the table looking anxious.
"Mom? Are you okay?"
"No, I'm just really worried, all this stuff is happening, you being an animus, Darkstalker returning, Queen Glory going into a coma. Not to mention a literal god that can do whatever he wants! I'm just concerned that something bad is going to happen and you and Crab will get hurt."
"Mom. Don't worry, nothing bad is going to happen and if something happens I will protect Crab, dad, and you. I promise." Then my mom started to cry.
"Mom! What's wrong?"
"My little Sea Urchin is all grown up"
"That name never really suited me"
"Yeah well-" she was interrupted by a growl that came from her stomach.
"When was the last time you ate?" I asked
"Uh, lunch, yesterday"
"*sigh* I'll get something for us to eat" and with that, I left for the market. I had gotten some moose and was about to leave when I saw Queen Thorn and Sunny.
What are they doing here.
"I'm glad we got to spend some time together senses you're usually so busy" I heard Sunny say eating a meat stick.
"I'm glad to be with my little beetle too"
"Mom, I-" she was interrupted by a Sandwing crashing into her.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, are you okay." He said holding out his talon.
"No, it was my fault, I should've been looking where I was going" she said taking his talon and pulling herself up.
"No, really it was my fault. Oh sorry about your food, I'll pay for that"
"Oh, no it's fine, really"
"Wait, is she blushing?" I thought
"No I insist. Shoot I don't have any coins on me, here I'll meet you here at dusk and I'll pay for it then. I have to go now so bye"
"Wait! What's your name."
"Oh right, it's Meerkat"
"Sunny, it's nice to meet you. Well bye then."
"Bye" he said walking away.
"Well that just happened." I muttered.
"He was handsome wouldn't you say" Thorn said to Sunny
"I-w-what? I mean I guess. But-"
"Looks like you got a handsome date then."
"It's not a date" she said flustered and blushing profusely.
"Sure sounds like a date"
"I-well it's not"
"Oh it's totally a date" I heard Mason in my head. "Even if they don't know it yet"
"Mason! Really they get together already, they just met"
"What! No, I just meant it was going to have romantic tension. The earliest they get together is a day before the beginning of the school year. The latest is a few months into the school year."
"So they do get together"
"That's the idea, now are you coming at dusk to watch the date"
"Yeah! It's going to be even more adorable than last time."
"Well then see you later"
"See you later, Mason."
—Dusk—
I saw Mason behind a store at the market. It was filled with plenty of stalls and some strings with hanging candles and decorations in across the market and in between stalls, there were even a couple of benches with tables at certain stalls.
"So what's the plan" I asked him
"I'm going to turn you into a human, but don't worry it'll be like you've been a human for a decade or two, you'll be fine"
"Oh alright"
"You know most dragons would have more of a reaction to this."
"Yeah well I'm friends with some of the most famous dragons who are famous for saving the world and I'm friends with you and a 2,000 year old dragon thought dead reappeared a few days ago, at this point I wouldn't be surprised if we're in a scroll."
"Alright fair" he said then turned me into a human. He then hopped on a crate then pulled himself up to the roof of the store and I fallowed suit. We waited for a while before they both arrived and surprisingly Sunny was wearing jewelry, it wasn't much, just a pair of ruby earrings and a necklace with some sort of stone on it.
"I don't think I've ever seen Sunny with jewelry before" I said
"That's because she's only worn jewelry a handful of times before"
"She must really like him then"
"Hey isn't that- hey it is"
"What, what is it"
"That necklace she's wearing is the one Stonemover gave to Thorn as a reminder of how much he loved her."
"Really, and Thorn let her borrow it"
"No, she gave it to her, and before you say anything it's good she's moving on"
"I thought she moved on already."
"Well sort of, she did make amends with Stonemover and found love again in Smolder but giving the necklace to Sunny was kind of the final symbolic way for her to fully move on, and besides she didn't just throw it away, she gave it to the person Stonemover loves the most right now."
"Yeah, Meerkat definitely seems to like it" I said as Meerkat noticed Sunny and started blushing so hard he could pass as a Skywing-SandWing Hybrid.
"God dam he's really attracted to her, and would you look at, the chance of them not getting together just went down 20%"
It was at this point that Meerkat growled and Sunny growled back and it took me a few moments to get what was happening.
"Wait is that how dragons sound to humans."
"Huh, what are you- oh right you're hearing growls right now aren't you."
"Yeah, are you not"
"No, I have this injection that allows me to hear any language as my first and anything I say has whoever hears it's first language."
"Well that's useful but do you mind making me be able to understand Draconic"
"No, I'm not going to"
"Why!"
"Because I want to see if you can detect romance not just from words but from body language."
"Alright, not like I have a choice"
At this point Meerkat had gotten them both some meat sticks and they started leaving the market
"Alright it looks like Sunny said something along the lines of "you shouldn't have done this" and Meerkat responded with something along the lines of "of course I did". Alright now it looks like he complimented her necklace and she's explaining it." I said as Sunny was messing with it and looked like she was explaining something.
"Wow, you're good at this"
"Thank you, I'm kind of a sucker for romantic scenes in scrolls"
"You know, you kind of remind me of myself when I was younger."
"Really?"
"Yeah believe it or not, anyway we should probably fallow them." He was right, Sunny and Meerkat were pretty far away from the market at this point "fallow me" he said has he started to parkour across the buildings rooftops and I fallowed him but not as smoothly and I missed a few of the things he managed to do.
Eventually we managed to keep a steady pace with them.
Alright it appears they are making small talk and- oh wait they're stopping" I said as we climbed on the roof of the building they stopped at. It was noticeably bigger and was a story higher than the regular house. "I guess this is where Sunny is staying and they are saying there good byes." Just then Sunny growled something nervously and Meerkat nodded while giving a reply making Sunny blush a bit
"Alright I think Sunny said something along the lines of "we should do this again" and Meerkat responded yes.
"Wow you really are good at this."
"So you've said"
"Okay, I have one more thing to do, and you're going to want to hear this" he said then snapped his fingers and turned into his dragon form. He then grabbed Meerkat and pinned him to the wall. Sunny had already gone inside so she didn't know.
"Alright listen, I'm here to make sure you know what you're getting into, if you hurt her, her friends are going to rip you to shreds, now I'm not trying to scare you away, please if you're heart desires her than go get her, but do everything in your power to make sure she's happy, if you are in the right I'll try and protect you but I can't guarantee anything, just be careful Meerkat." He said then teleported back next to me In human form.
"Right, well I think we should leave it there" he said then teleported me to my room a turned me back into a dragon.
—The next day—
Mason just told the gang that he was going to teleport us and I had just gotten teleported to the Rainforest where I saw everyone else in a small clearing surrounded by thick jungle.
"Uh, Mason. What's going on?" Turtle asked.
"Yeah-ohhhhhh" Moon said, clearly hearing something in her mind.
"What is it" Frost asked.
"You'll see"
"Alright then fallow me" Mason said leading us through the foliage. Eventually we stopped just before a clearing.
It was a decently sized clearing with stone legde protruding upwards with a small waterfall pouring down into a pond.
"Now hide behind the bushes and stay quiet." And so we did. A few moments later I heard Mason in my head.
"3.2.1." Just as he finished Glory and Deathbringer landed in the clearing.
"Alright, what is it that you want to tell me" Glory asked.
"Well, Glory you're the most special dragon to me ever and I really don't deserve you and this is selfish of me to ask but will you marry me" he said pulling out a ring and closing his eyes
Kinkajou looked like she was about to explode while the rest of us had mixed expressions of shock and happiness, except for Mason and Moon who both had expectant smiles, and Glory looked shocked but was rosie-pink all over.
Deathbringer waited a few moments and without opening his eyes he turned around and said
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked, I-" he was interrupted by Glory turning his head and softly kissed him.
"Why would you think that was selfish, of course I'll marry you, Deathbringer." She said then kissed him more deeply and less innocently.
"This is sweet and all but why did you bring us and not the DoD?" Qibli asked.
"Simple, Peril and Clay visiting Clay's family, Tsunami is visiting her's, Star and Fate are visiting Star's niece and nephew, and Sunny is visiting Thorn." He replied.
"We should go now" Mason said in our heads. As we were leaving Kinkajou stepped on a twig making a loud sound. Turtle immediately wrapped his wings around her and hugged her defensively just before one of Deathbringer's signature disks hit the back of Turtle's head.
"Hey, it's just Mason and friends" He said walking into the clearing and we did the same.
"We're you spying on us" Glory asked
"Well yes, but the others didn't know that's what we were doing until it was too late so blame me not them"
"Alright just don't do it again, and Mason the only reason I'm not punishing you right now is because you saved my life, but you better not let me catch you again because you will be punished."
"Understood ma'am, come on let's go" he said and we started to leave. Once we were out of ear shot Turtle started berating Mason.
"Mason! You could have gotten Kinkajou killed!"
"No, she wouldn't have been killed"
"Even if that's true, it was still incredibly irresponsible putting us in potential danger!"
"Turtle, I think you need to calm down a bit." Winter said
"Calm down! A dragon I really care about almost died! And you expect me to calm down!" Winter started to back away, looking a little scared. While Kinkajou started to blush a little and a few scales turned rosie-pink. Turtle took a deep breath and calmed down.
"Sorry Winter, I was just really scared for Kinkajou"
"Okay, to make sure that doesn't happen again, I promise not to take all of you guys on one of these again."
"Thank you." Turtle said calmly
"Okay you all can go home now."
"Actually, Turtle can I speak to you alone."
"Sure". We all took that as are cue to leave.
I had been flying for a few minutes before I was teleport behind a bush with Mason to my right and Kinkajou and Turtle in front of the bushes.
They were in a clearing surrounded by light jungle and there was a capybara sitting in the clearing, looking at them without a care in the world.
"-so what I'm trying to say is that I love you, Turtle and I'm sorry for not realizing it sooner and it's okay if you don't love me anymore."
"Kinkajou, how could I ever fall out of love with you, I love you too Kinkajou." With this Kinkajou was beaming and jumped into Turtle as she was covered in rosie-pink scales, when she pulled away she kissed Turtle. Eventually they went back to cuddling before that had to come to an end when Turtle had to leave for home.
"Well it was about time that happened" I said to Mason
"Yeah I can agree, anyhow with that I must say bye now so bye" and then he disappeared.
—2 days later—
I was eating dinner with my family and contemplating whether I should tell them about Osprey.
"Should I tell them, I mean it's been a month since we started dating and the longer I wait the worse, but then again it's also been less than a month since all this crazy stuff happened and telling them would only add to the pile. I tell them soon, not right now but soon" just then I heard Mason in my head.
"Alright, I'm going to teleport you all, you'll be invisible and be able to hear each other's minds, but stay quiet. Teleportation in 3.2."
"Wait! Mason-" I said aloud.
"1." I stopped the words that were about to come out as I was teleported to what appeared to be a Rainwing hut.
It was big with multiple rooms and we appeared to be in a living room in front of a couch.
"Mason! You promised we wouldn't do any more of these!" Turtle thought angrily.
"I promise you're going to like this one and it will be the last time."
"You better be telling the truth." Turtle thought as Kinkajou came through one of the doors in the hut that I assumed lead to her room.
"Why are we in Kinkajou's hut" Qibli thought as Glory came through the main door.
"Glory!" Kinkajou said running up and hugging her.
"Hey jou-jou, here I have something for you." She said pulling out a scroll.
"Now why would Kinkajou want a scroll?" Camel thought.
Kinkajou then started to read it "By signing this document you agree that from now on you are the legal guardian and take full responsibility of the physical and mental well being of Kinkajou the Rainwing, Signed Glory." She slowed once she got to her name. She then hugged Glory, covered in pink, and started to cry.
"Thank you, Mom" she said which made Glory turn pink too.
"You're welcome, jou-jou". We were all too stunned to think, I don't know about the others but I had a talon over my moth and I was starting to cry a little. Then I was teleported home.
"By the three moons, that was so wholesome."
"What, what happened" Crab asked curiously.
"Well you see-"
