Chapter 36: Holly's Birthday

Today was a special day for a young adult female Scarlet macaw. Today was the birthday of Holly and she woke up in a happy mood. Holly looked at Garth who was snoring. She began to shake her mate awake.

"Honey, wake up. Do you know what today is?" Holly asked.

"Good morning honey." Garth opened his eyes. "Oh right, today is Thursday."

Rosie woke up from her nap.

"Good morning sweetie. Guess what today is." Holly said.

"I don't know mom." Rosie said as she rubbed her eyes.

"Let's eat some breakfast." Holly said as they ate some fruits and nuts.

Holly ate, she smiled at her family.

"Those fruits are so delicious." Holly said.

Katie and Winston came to the hollow.

"Grandma, Grandpa." Rosie shouted with blushes as she ran up and hugged the old macaws.

"Hello our little granddaughter." Katie laughed as she and Winston hugged the little chick back. You are getting big when I see you."

"Hello mother and father. What can I do for you?" Holly asked.

"I came to tell you that it's your time to do patrol around the tribe." Katie said.

Holly was shocked, her parents forgot her birthday. Holly wanted to tell her mother it was her birthday and she is upset that she have to do patrol. Holly accepted it.

"Okay mother and father, thanks for letting me know." Holly said.

"Anything for our daughter." Winston said.

"Okay I will see you guys later." Holly said.

"Of course, be safe honey." Garth smiled and gave a kiss on Holly's beak. Holly kiss him back.

"Bye mom." Rosie said to her mother and she left with her father and grandparents to the Scarlet tribe.

"Okay everyone is here. We got to set everything up." Katie told Garth and Rosie.

Maria went to get Alex, his family, Blu, Jewel, their kids, Banjo, Grace, their kids, Roberto, Liz, Rosalia, as well as Bia's boyfriend Nightfly, Carla's boyfriend Tomada Junior, Tiago's girlfriend Lisa who is the younger sister of Liz, Belle's boyfriend Nate, Crystal's boyfriend Clive, Junior's girlfriend Mary who is the younger sister of Mary and Nina, and Max's girlfriend Bridget.

"Okay sweetie, let's get to work. Remember we got to make this place special for your mother." Garth told Rosie.

"Yes daddy, I understand." Rosie replied and she got to work.

Holly's family and friends came and helped out. Katie and Winston is doing the best since Holly is their daughter. As the time passed, everyone was bored and they finally finished.

"Okay is everyone in place." Garth asked everyone. Everyone nodded.

"Okay I will get Holly. When she comes. Yell surprise." Garth said.

"Got it." Everyone said.

Garth went to his hollow to get his mate. He saw Holly was already in her hollow. She was clearly sad that no one wished her a happy birthday. Garth saw his mate upset.

"Honey, what's wrong?" Garth asked sweetly as he walked to Holly.

"Garfie." Holly said as facing her mate with tears. "Today is my birthday and no one remembered, not even you and our daughter. I am so upset."

"Honey, I'm sorry but I remembered. Just come with me, please." Garth pleaded.

"Fine don't think this means I will forgive you." Holly said and go with Garth.

Garth and Holly exits the hollow, Garth led Holly to the forest floor. Before they continue, Garth went behind Holly and with his wings blocked Holly's eyes.

"Garfie, what are you doing?" Holly asked, curious.

"You'll see." Garth said as he started walking forward.

"Okay honey." Holly said.

After a couple of minutes, they are finally here.

"Alright honey we are here." Garth uncovered Holly's eyes.

"Surprise, Happy Birthday Holly!" Everyone shouted.

Holly was completely surprised and her beak was wide open. She had tears of joy.

"Oh my goodness." Holly said happily. "You guys did remember."

"Of course cousin." Alex chuckled. "You didn't think we forgot your birthday. Did you?"

Holly blushed. Her daughter gave her a hug. Holly hugs her back.

"Happy birthday mom, I love you." Rosie said as she continued to hug her mom.

"Thanks sweetie, I love you too." Katie kissed her daughter's head and looked at everyone else. "And thank to you all."

"No problem sweetie. Sorry to make you go on patrol today. That was an excuse, so you won't know what we were doing." Katie smiled. "Now let's celebrate."

Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky play the party music. Everyone was having a good time as they danced, sang, and chatted with each other. The party went on, Holly thanked Garth for this. Everyone talked to the birthday girl and Rosie told her it was her mate's idea to set the party up. Holly had herself a good time and danced with her mate Garth.

The party ended, everyone was tired from celebrating. Everyone went back home. It was just Rosie, Holly, and Garth and they flew back to the hollow.

"Mom, did you enjoy your surprise me and daddy made for you?" Rosie asked her.

"Of course sweetie. Thank you again." Holly said and give her mate and her daughter a hug. After the hug, Holly kiss her daughter on the forehead.

Holly put the little chick in her nest. Rosie was already sleeping. Then she is going on her own nest to join Garth.

"Did my mate enjoy her special day?" Garth asked.

"Yes." Holly giggled. "Thank you, you really surprised me." Holly said.

"Anything for my mate." Garth smiled.

"I appreciated it." Holly said and give a passionate kiss Garth on the beak. Garth kiss her back. The two snuggled to each other wings.
