As the first light of dawn filtered through the windows of the Lookout, Ryder stirred awake. The soft hues of morning cast a gentle glow across the room, but something felt off. Stretching his arms, he swung his legs off the bed, his feet touching the cool floor. His eyes immediately caught sight of an unusual sight outside his door—a neatly folded bundle of fabric. His brow furrowed as he approached and picked it up, recognizing it instantly as Marshall's super suit.

A knot formed in Ryder's chest. Why would Marshall leave his super suit here? His thoughts raced as he quickly dressed, then headed to the command center, the bundle clutched tightly in his hands.

As he activated the Lookout's security cameras, a creeping sense of dread washed over him. Ryder's heart sank as the footage played. In the dim light of the early morning, the camera captured Marshall slipping out of the Lookout. His head hung low, his movements quiet and deliberate, as if he didn't want to wake anyone. The timestamp showed it had happened hours before dawn.

"Marshall…" Ryder whispered, his voice thick with concern. He didn't need to watch any more to understand—Marshall had run away, likely burdened by guilt and fear after the events of the previous day.

Ryder tapped his Pup Pad, summoning the rest of the team. The urgency in his voice was evident, and within minutes, the pups gathered around, still groggy but alert. Their faces turned serious as Ryder explained the situation.

"Marshall left his super suit outside my door," Ryder began, holding up the folded fabric. "And from what I saw on the security footage, he left the Lookout early this morning. I think he's feeling guilty about what happened yesterday."

Shock and concern flickered in the pups' eyes. Chase stepped forward, his stance firm and determined. "We have to find him, Ryder. He could be in danger out there on his own."

Skye nodded, determination shining in her eyes. "I'll take to the skies in my helicopter and see if I can spot him from above."

"We'll cover as much ground as we can," Rocky added. "Marshall wouldn't just leave unless he felt he had no other choice."

Ryder looked around at the team, his heart swelling with pride at their immediate readiness to help. "Exactly. We'll split up and search the area. Skye, take the skies. Chase, use your drone to scan the outskirts of Adventure Bay. Zuma, check the shoreline. Rubble, Rocky, and I will take the forest trails. Remember, Marshall's scared. When we find him, we need to reassure him that everything's going to be okay."

The pups nodded, their resolve evident. "Paw Patrol is on a roll!" they chorused, each one setting off to their designated areas.

As Ryder and the pups dispersed, a sense of urgency gripped him. Marshall needs us now more than ever. Ryder couldn't shake the image of Marshall's downcast eyes or the weight of guilt that must have driven him away.

Suddenly, a thought struck Ryder, and he quickly accessed his Pup Pad. Every pup's Pup Tag was equipped with a tracking feature—a precaution to ensure their safety. Within moments, he located Marshall's tag. The blinking dot on the screen moved steadily toward Jake's Mountain.

Relief mixed with urgency surged through Ryder as he revved up his ATV and sped toward the mountain. The familiar path to Jake's Mountain blurred as he focused on one thing—finding Marshall.

As Ryder reached the base of the mountain, he spotted a small, familiar figure sitting on a boulder near the treeline. Marshall sat with his head hung low, his ears drooping. His posture spoke volumes about the turmoil inside him.

"Marshall!" Ryder called out, dismounting his ATV and sprinting toward his friend.

Marshall's head snapped up at the sound of Ryder's voice. His eyes widened in surprise, mixed with apprehension. "Ryder? How did you find me?"

Without hesitation, Ryder closed the distance and wrapped his arms around Marshall in a tight hug. "I used your Pup Tag. I was worried about you. We all were."

Marshall hesitated, then slowly returned the hug, clinging to Ryder for a moment before pulling away. His eyes were clouded with guilt. "I ran away because… I thought it would be safer for everyone. I thought if I stayed, I'd just keep hurting you all."

Ryder knelt down to meet Marshall's gaze, his voice steady and filled with warmth. "Marshall, you've got it all wrong. What happened was an accident. No one blames you. We know you'd never intentionally hurt us. You're learning to control your powers, and that's not easy. But you don't have to do it alone. We're a team."

Marshall's lip quivered as tears welled in his eyes. "But Ryder… I hurt you. I was so angry, and I didn't think. I don't want to hurt anyone."

Ryder placed a reassuring hand on Marshall's shoulder. "It's okay to feel angry. What matters is that you learn from it and keep going. Mistakes happen, but we're here to help you. That's what family does."

Reaching into his backpack, Ryder pulled out Marshall's super suit, neatly folded. He held it out with a gentle smile. "This is yours. You're a hero, Marshall, with or without this suit. But if you're ready, I'd like to help you put it back on."

Marshall's eyes widened as he stared at the suit. Slowly, he reached out, taking it from Ryder's hands, his paws trembling slightly. With Ryder's help, he carefully slipped into the suit. Each piece fit snugly, a reminder of his purpose and the unwavering support of his team.

Once the final piece was in place, Marshall stood tall, a newfound determination in his eyes. He looked up at Ryder, a small smile breaking through his previously somber expression. Without warning, Marshall jumped into Ryder's arms, wrapping his paws around him in a tight hug. "Thank you, Ryder. Thank you for not giving up on me."

Ryder chuckled softly, holding the pup close. "Always, Marshall. We're in this together."

Marshall pulled back slightly, his eyes shining with gratitude. "I'm ready."

Ryder's smile widened, pride shining in his eyes. "That's great, Marshall. But before we head back, I need you to promise me something."

Marshall tilted his head, curious. "What is it?"

Ryder placed a hand on Marshall's shoulder, his expression serious yet kind. "Promise me that if you ever feel like running away again, you'll come to me instead. We can work through anything together. You don't have to handle it on your own."

Marshall's eyes softened, and he nodded earnestly. "I promise, Ryder. I'll come to you."

Ryder's smile returned, full of warmth. "Good. Let's go home, Marshall. Everyone will be so happy to see you."

Side by side, they made their way back down Jake's Mountain. The bond between them had never been stronger, and Marshall's heart felt lighter, knowing he wasn't alone. No matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, as a family.
