Ch1
The setting sun of over a busy city with people going about their business filled the sky. A young blonde haired boy with a black and grey top and brown shorts looked over the city, his red scarf fluttered in the air as he removed his goggles and got a better look of this world. "Are you sure this is Rockman's world Otenko-san?"
An small sun flower shaped figured with a long nose bounced in agreement. "It should be Django."
Django nodded as he examined the new world in front of him. He had met Rockman and his operator Hikari Netto before when he was younger and together they had fought many battles. She was curious to see how they had changed since they last worked together. This place looks so high tech, back home we don't have anything like this.
The vampire hunter looked over the city curiously. "Well it is different than the last time I was here."
Otenko nodded. "He did say we only were in the cyberworld the times we fought together."
Django sighed and looked up at the setting sun at the memories of his past adventures where he met Rockman and his operator Netto. They had helped each other fighting various enemies in the past yet now an old enemy was back. "The border between our worlds is always blurry, looks like we are here again."
He felt his weapon, the gun del sol by his side. Taking it out he twirled it in his hand as he thought of his next course of action. "The count should be here." His blood boiled thinking of his nemesis the vampire who had slaughtered his family and wrecked havoc on his own world. "We'll find him and defeat before he does any damage here."
He had been chasing signs of him in his own world and it had let him here. I'll stop him and slay all the vampires before they harm anyone.
Otenko-san nodded and jumped in agreement. "I say we find Rockman and Netto-kun. Maybe they could help."
He nodded as he gripped his weapon tightly as Otenko disappeared. Alright lets hunt some vampires.
18 year old Hikari Netto walked down the streets of Akihara, the sound of sirens blared in the distance. Man I swear crime has been increasing lately. He had been doing missions for the Net Police non stop to the point that he was starting to feel exhausted from the constant missions.
But now he was unwinding by taking a stroll around town along while his PET was getting upgraded along with Rockman back home. As he walked past the neighborhood park the ground trembled as a strange light burst in the sky. "An earthquake?" No it didn't feel like one.
Suddenly a low growl caught his attention. Turning around he saw two slouching figures walk towards them. At first he thought they were homeless people but something was off, first their skin was pale and almost decayed and second their eyes were red.
"GRRR." The creatures growled as they locked eyes on him.
What the hell. He staggered back his legs shaking as the hairs on his neck stood up.
"RAA!" The creatures let out an inhuman shriek and began to charge at him.
He swore and quickly activated his rollerblades on his shoes and began to run. "That are these things?" His heart raced in his chest as he made his way through the dark streets, the creatures followed him like two animals after prey.
It was then that he headed towards the park and noticed steam coming from a hole in the ground. Maybe I could hide somewhere here? It was then he noticed a large crater in the ground with a black substance slowly coming out of it.
Is that thing moving? He stared at the substance as he carefully examined it. Then in a flash, it lunged at him, enveloping him in its darkness. He let out a muffled scream as a strange sensation, as if something was merging with him, seeping into his very being.
He tried to scream but the symbiotic material covered his body, he could vaguely see the strange creatures in the distance marching towards him and he swore.
"Hello child my name is Shadowbyte." The voice rang in his head it was unlike anything he had ever heard before.
"Wh-Who are you!" He screamed in his mind.
"Don't worry I'm a good symbiote. I won't let anything harm you."
His eyes widened as he felt the presence of the symbiote merge with him. Blue tendrils shot from the mass that was enveloping him and took out the strange creatures that were pursuing him.
"Ugh what were those things?" Shandowbyte asked in disgust as the creatures turned into dust.
Falling to the ground he noticed the symbiote had enveloped his body completely as a surge of otherworldly energy enveloped him. He wore a firm fitting black suit with a blue spider etched across his chest.
As he looked down at his body he gasped. What the hell? Instead of his usual skinny self his body had changed to become more defined and muscular. Nice. He couldn't help but marvel at the powerful muscles that now rippled beneath a dark symbiotic material. His arms, once slender, were now with defined biceps while his chest had broadened and legs became more defined, even his stomach, once flat was now a firm six pack.
He flexed his arm and stared in awe ate his muscles. Did you do this?
The symbiote chuckled in his head. "I did. As my host you need to be strong enough to host me."
He shrugged. "Can't argue with that." The mask around his face retracted. "So uh what are you?" Looking around he saw the remains of those two creatures turn into dust. More importantly what were those two things?
A symbiotic head formed from the suit and greeted him with a large toothy grin. "I'm an alien symbiote. I recently crashed into this world from another dimension."
"Uh ok." He didn't know how to respond to that but the symbiote didn't seem hostile. "So am I like a super hero or something?"
Shadowbyte's head shrugged. "Whatever you want kind. Try to keep me-"
A blood curdling scream ripped through the area. "What was that?"
The symbiote covered his head as the scent of blood filled the air. "Come on kid lets investigate. Trust me I can fight even if you can't."
Sounds good.
As he ran he noticed the stench of blood, his senses seemed stronger as he could feel the scent of dread in the air. "I smell blood lots of it," Shadowbyte growled in his head.
When he arrived at the edge of the park he froze as he saw a woman lying in a puddle of blood. A hunched figure loomed the woman its face and arms drenched in blood. "What the hell?" His legs trembled as the figure looked at him with a pair of dead eyes and bloodied mouth.
"Awe those look disgusting," Shadowbyte said.
He couldn't agree more.
"GRR." The figure turned to them and charged with its arms outstretched.
He staggered back. "Hey uh can you fight this?"
His arm reacted on its own as it formed a large fist and punched the vampire back. The creature flew back and landed on its feet.
Suddenly a figure landed in between them and the vampire. "Gun del Sol!" A familiar old friend with an otherworldly gun in his hand blasted the vampire with a wave of light disintegrating it in one touch.
"Django?"
The young man turned to him and pointed the gun at him. "Who are you?"
"Wait! Wait! It's me," he said raising his hands as the symbiote retraced from around his face. "Hikari Netto. Me and Rockman helped you defeat some enemies in the past remember?"
The vampire hunter looked a bit different from when he last saw him but he recognized Django. He had grown taller, his features were more mature, and his physique seemed much larger and sturdier than when he last saw him.
Django slowly lowered the gun. "Netto? Wh-What happened to you?" He then looked him over curiously. "What are you wearing?"
He scratched his head. "It's an alien symbiote that I just met. He sort of saved me when those weird creatures attacked us"
Shadowbyte's head formed, it was a large bulbous head with rows of sharp teeth in its mouth and two large grey eyes. "Greetings. I am Shadowbyte. Don't worry I mean you no harm."
"Are you sure it isn't a vampire?" Django asked cautiously while holding his gun.
"I most definitely am not a vampire," Shadowbyte hissed.
Django looked at both of them both cautiously. "And you won't hurt Hikari Netto or innocent people."
Shadowbyte nodded. "I won't. Don't worry I need a host to fully function and I'm here to explore this world and enjoy myself a bit."
"Uh good to know," he said. "Anyway Django what are you doing here? Why are you in our world again."
Django sighed as he put away his gun. "I'm on a mission to hunt the count. Can we talk in private?"
He nodded. "Sure come lets go to my place."
"Good vampires are causing trouble here again." Django paused and looked at the pool of blood. "I have to stop them before they cause any more tragedies."
He looked at where those two creatures were. "You mean they were vampires?" A shiver went down his spine.
Django met his gaze and nodded. "They were and it looks like they are now in your world. Come on lets get out of here."
He looked at Django and nodded. Man symbiotes and vampires what a night. It was all strange but he figured he should sit down and process all that was happening. With that they both headed back to his house as discreetly as possible, luckily there weren't many people on the road. "My parents are out of town at the moment," he said as he unlocked the door. "Come on it looks like it's going to rain."
"This is where you live?" Shadowbyte asked as they walked inside.
Yeah. I live with my parents so try to keep a low profile. Except for Rockman you can talk to him.
Django looked around the curiously as they walked to his room. Upon opening the door to his room he saw that his computer had finished updating his PET.
Rockman immediately appeared on the screen. "Netto-kun the updates are finished do you-" the navi paused and looked him over. "What are you wearing?"
He laughed awkwardly. "Um it's an alien symbiote. Shadowbyte say hi."
Shadowbyte's head popped out and grinned at Rockman. "Nice to meet you?"
Rockman's eyes widened. "What the hell?"
"Yeah and also an old friend is here," he said pointing to Django.
"Netto-kun you have a lot of explaining to do." Rockman turned to Django. "Hey long time no see. What are you doing here again."
Django nodded. "Hunter vampires, the usual."
"Yeah I was nearly attacked by them," he said as he quickly explained what had happened. Django and Rockman listened intently as he told them how he was nearly attacked and found the symbiote.
"Wow this is crazy," Rockman said. "How are these things in our world?"
The blonde hair boy paused. "But I think something else is going on, the barrier between worlds is shifting."
Shadowbyte nodded. "The fabric of this realm is thinner, that is why I was able to make it here."
He folded his arms. "Well we've ran into Django a few times before without any problem. Do you think this could be a problem?"
"We can never know," Django said his brow furrowing. "I'm on the trail of the Count, he might be behind this."
"I see. Well looks like we'll have to team up again," he said with a grin.
Django smiled softly. "Looking forward to it."
The two high fived. "Oh Netto-kun can that suit come off?" Rockman asked.
"Uh I guess," he said.
Suddenly the symbiote withdrew itself into his body. The thing was he forgot that Shadowbyte accidentally destroyed the clothes he was wearing since he was now naked.
"Oh god!" He quickly covered himself as Django turned away, his face reddening. This will be one interesting summer.
AN: While this is technically a Boktai crossover only Django will be present from the Boktai series. He and Netto will both be 18 in this story and while have quiet the friendship in this story. I will also use elements from both the games and anime.
As for the symbiote Shadobyte I was inspired by the Venom movies and decided to throw it in here for fun.
