Sam's POV

I walked to the Braddock's door. I had dropped the list of books at the library and waited until they had found one of the books that the teacher had approved of it which was nice. But now standing at this door I was slightly worried; Sue had a plan to deal with Jordan for this afternoon and I was probably be forced to agree to it. I knocked on the door, Spike came to the door.

Spike turned around, walking towards the kitchen. "Come on in, Sam is just in the shower."

I nodded glancing over at Sue, "How are things?"

Sam came out of his bedroom, or what I presumed to be his bedroom. "Well what is the deal with this right now?"

We took a seat at the counter. Spike put a cup of coffee in front of me. "Sue, you called this meeting what did you want to talk about?"

Sue settled in her seat. "We all are aware of Jordan skipping her meeting with me yesterday, Paul had commented to me that she may have wanted to hold it at the beach cause she pushed to go there instead of my office on Sunday."

I nodded. "We understand that the meeting needs to happen at your office, though what do you plan on doing about this one?"

Sue glanced at me before turning to Sam. "I'll be back later this afternoon when she should be home from school, l and we can talk to her and confront her at that point that she skipped the appointment. I have another one booked for her tomorrow at lunch time. It involves her leaving 10 minutes early from math class, but she will be back in time for her afternoon classes."

I nodded. "I will clear that with the school."

Sam looked at me. "I don't know how she is going to be about missing class, that was her problem about the appointment yesterday."

Sue huffed. "She left the school and then didn't even show up to the appointment. I am saying 10 minutes out of one class. We can clear it with her tonight." She turned to me. "Does Paul know about her skipping?"

I nodded. "He does know, he is going to speak to Jordan this afternoon about what results can happen in the end."

Sue nodded. "Okay." She got up walking for the door, telling Sam that she would see him this afternoon at one time when I called that Jordan and Paul were leaving the house.

Spike looked at me. "How were things this morning with Jordan?"

I nodded. "I just wanted to let you know that she did talk to Paul about the fact that other guys have left her after seeing what he seen last night. And he reassured her that he wasn't leaving."

Sam smiled, taking a deep breath. "I didn't get to see her this morning, 2 of us got called out to deal with a situation in Seattle this morning."

Smiling looking between the two of them. "She was fine when I left. But I should get back to the house right now. She isn't going to math class today cause, she didn't think it was a good idea. But Paul is going to join her for the final 2 classes, but she will be done the work from those classes, she was working on that stuff when I left this morning."

Spike nodded. "That is good."

With that I left going to my car and taking off to my house. Emily was in the kitchen when I got back, Jordan was in the living room. She had pulled a pillow off the couch and was sitting on it on the floor working on the table.

I set the book for her English class on her pile of books.

"She went in there shortly after you left, she has been working on different things since then. She got her full Chemistry for both days, and right now I think she is working on her history work for both days."

I nodded glancing at what she was doing. "Lunch just about ready?"

Emily nodded, "But you are letting Jordan eat first." She walked into the living room. "Lunch is ready, come into the kitchen and have something. Quil is on his way with your math work anyway."

Jordan giggled and came into the kitchen, sitting down at the table, taking a sandwich. "Thanks for picking up the book for me Sam."

I nodded smiling. "How is the rest of your work going?"

"History and Chemistry are done. I was working on the debate stuff and just about done that. I texted Seth to tell him which side I was going for so he can join me on it as well. "

I nodded. As Quil walked in. "Math class was horribly hard today. Can you please help me with this impossible work?"

Jordan giggled, stuffing her face with the sandwich. I looked down at the plate only seeing 2 pieces of sandwiches left there. I glanced up at Emily, I had only eaten 2 pieces and Quil hadn't eaten any.

Jordan's POV

Quil came and sat beside me at the table glancing at the plate. My appetite had gotten bigger lately. It was kinda odd.

"Okay let's have a look at what we were doing today."

He pulled out the book as I grabbed my math book. He grabbed a piece of sandwich, grumbling at me about math.

I helped him all the way through lunch until he looked at his phone. "Listen I have to get back to school but thanks for this by the way." I nodded smiling at him. "Tell Paul when he gets here, he can help me with my Quileute stuff because it is more impossible than this math work."

He laughed and nodded explaining that Embry would be by with him this afternoon so he could help with that as well.

The next while of the afternoon passed fairly calmly. Though I didn't attempt any more work on my Quileute as this morning the simple thought of it was extremely hard. However, I did manage to go through and translate any word that I knew which hopefully Seth would count as something. Spanish had been hard to learn too but with the help of Dakota I did eventually learn it. I suspected that this would be about the same as long as Paul would help me. After 20 minutes on other things I picked up my independent study book and started reading it.

Emily came in at one point explaining that Sam had to slip out and if there was anything I wanted to talk about. The sinking feeling in my gut that I had skipped yesterday and the fact that no one seemed to know about it yet was ever present. Though I shook my head explaining that everything was fine and part of me was just missing Paul.

I was happy when Paul got there just as the final 2 periods were about to start. Guess Emily had made muffins at one-point because he had grabbed 2 of them and brought me in one to eat as well before having a seat on the floor beside me.

"Why are we on the floor, Jordan?"

I shrugged. "No reason really. Well other than trying to work on the table from the couch or chairs is really super hard." I smiled up at him. "Now can you help me with this language stuff, pretty please?"

Paul laughed looking at the work that I had already done. "Okay you've translated the words it should be obvious what you have to do here." He pointed to the page. "Just draw a line from the picture to the word in both languages."

He leaned back against the couch while I drew the lines smiling up at him. "Like that?"

Paul took the page and looked at it examining the words carefully before handing it back to me with a smile. "See you did it perfectly. You don't really need my help other than the instructions." He put the page on the done pile of my schoolwork. "Next one." He announced looking at the few pages left on the table.

I huffed rolling my eyes at him. "Okay, this one was just a translation page. So, I did it I just wanted you to check it over before I hand it into Seth."

He grabbed the page looking it over carefully before shaking his head, placing it back on the table pointing at 3 words. "They are wrong."

I nodded to him. "See this is what I need your help with. Those words weren't in the book we read nor in anything I've seen so I don't know them. I took a guess at them." I pouted up at him.

He got up going over to the bookshelf in the living room before returning with a book and dropping it on the table. "Only one way to find out." He gestured to the book. "It is a Quileute-English dictionary should help you with learning words."

I low growl escaped my lips as I glanced up at him. "You could just tell me what it says."

Emily came to the door of the living room glancing in at us. "Paul, Sam wanted me to remind you of the favour you were supposed to do for him this afternoon." Her glance towards me had me gapping up at him.

He nodded. "Getting there Emily." He smiled waving her off. "But if you could get us each another muffin that would make it go faster."

She shook her head laughing before coming back with 2 more muffins. "With the amount you two are eating I'm going to have to make another batch of them for everyone else."

When she left the room, my gaze went to him. "A favour for Sam? Huh?"

He nodded. "Not your father, Emily's husband. He asked me to explain something to you. But it is something I very much doubt you'll want to talk about or hear about."

I groaned. "Is it about counselling appointments?"

He nodded. "But it is something you need to hear. It isn't me pressuring you to go. It is however something that needs to be dealt with and you really do need to listen to." He took a breath trying to steady himself. "So why don't we put this language stuff away. And we can move onto the couch and talk about this alright?"

I nodded putting the papers into the folder they had been in from earlier. "Alright." I started eating the muffin that Emily had brought into the room for us. "What is this big thing?"

"Jordan come join me on the couch please. I want to snuggle with you while we talk about this." It hadn't taken much to convince me to snuggle with him. For one he was good at snuggling and I did tend to enjoy it. And from the feel of things he enjoyed it as well.

"Okay. I'm snuggled up with you now."

He grinned. "Okay so what Sam wanted me to discuss with you is what would happen if the entire council got involved of you skipping your counselling appointments."

I groaned at him. "Don't you start with that please." I held my head against his chest. "Please can't we just ignore what will happen."

He just shook his head. "I'm sorry we can't." He placed a hand on my head. "Jordan, the council consists of Billy Black; Jake's father, Old Quil; Quil's grandfather, Sue, and Sam. However, there is only one that really concerns you about missing these appointments. Old Quil will come down really hard on you for missing them. To him it is really bad. If the full council gets involved, he will push for you to be forced out of all social events, school, bonfires, parties anything involving other people."

I looked up. "Will the others agree with him?"

He shrugged. "It all depends on the circumstances as to why they were all called together. But for the time your father might be able to force or reverse it. However, it won't happen very often." He pulled my face up to look at him. "Jordan, I want to tell you if they all get involved there is a very good chance, we won't be able to see each other alone until it is reversed."

I nodded. "Okay."

He fed me a piece of my muffin. "On a different note. There is a bonfire on Saturday. I was wondering if you wanted to come with me as my date?"

I ate the muffin piece. "A bonfire?"

He nodded smiling. "Yes. Down at the beach." He glanced at me pulling out his phone glancing at the time. "We should get going to your place anyway." He stood, pulling me up to my feet.

"Why are we going to my place? I thought we could have dinner here with everyone." I pouted up at him.

He shook his head. "Jordan, I made a promise with your father last night that we could redo last night's dinner, tonight." He smiled down at me putting my schoolbooks in my bag. "I'm going to go tell Emily that we are heading to your place."

I yawned, "Paul, I'm tired. I don't know if I have the patience to deal with Wordy and Spike interrogating you tonight. Especially not in front of me."

He laughed. "Don't worry. I can handle myself. Wordy and Spike don't scare me. I will be fine." He led me to his truck that was sitting in the yard.

I got into the truck snuggling over to him. "I really do mean it. I am really tired right now. I've been doing schoolwork all day."

He put his arm around me. "Oh princess. I'm sure you can make it through dinner. Sam said something about ordering pizza for dinner."

I leaned in. We pulled into the yard. It was a short drive to my place but there was a different car in the driveway. "Paul, who's car is that? I don't recognize it."

Paul glanced at me in a curious way. "It is Sue's car."

I nodded. "Must not have taken too much notice to it yesterday." I shrugged. I pulled my bag as I got out of his truck. "Didn't you have schoolwork to get done?"

He shook his head. "I finished it over lunch. That is what I was doing. Plus, Quil begged me to stay at school over lunch so he could pick your brain about your math homework. In fact, I got something really nice for it."

As we got to the door, I pulled Paul down to kiss him. "What did you get from him?"

"Remember how I said I was going to be busy on Sunday at work?" I nodded to him. "Well he is taking Sam's shift for me."

I smiled. "So, we can spend Sunday together?"

"Yep, we can. I made him clear it with Sam so that I know that we could do it. I made sure I got a text from Sam before I agreed to stay at school." He winked at me as the door opened. I pulled Paul to me once more not caring who was at the door.

"Well … well what do we have here?" Spike smirked as I glanced at him.

"Spike, what do you want?" I glanced at him before pushing past him into the house. "Dad, Paul and I are going to hang out in my room for a bit." I shout, pulling Paul along to me.

Paul stopped glancing towards the living room. "Um Jordan, I think your dad moved the chairs in the living room."

I glanced at the living room. Paul was right, my dad had moved the chairs.

"Jordan have a seat; we need to talk." He pointed to the love seat that was now facing the tv. Though the couch was between the love seat and the tv. Wordy was sitting on one of the other chairs in the living room.

I tentatively took a seat on the love seat; Paul came over to sit beside me.

"Sue, how was your day?" Paul winked at me for a second.

"It was rather busy, Paul. But yesterday I had a bit of time that I wasn't expecting. My 1:30 didn't show up at all." Sue turned to me. "Jordan, it is nice to meet you. I've heard some nice things about you from Seth and Leah and Paul."

I nodded. "It is nice to meet you too, Sue."

My dad glanced at me. "Jordan, your appointment was supposed to be 1:30. You told Wordy your appointment went fine."

The front door opened, and I turned to see Rav. I gulped, "Hey Rav."

He walked up messing up the small bit of my hair that was loose. "You have been naughty. I can remember the last time that Sam moved the furniture in the living room. Are we dealing with that again?"

I blushed shaking my head as Sam, Wordy, and Spike all said "Yes."

Paul looked confused at me before turning to Spike. "What had happened last time you moved the furniture around?"

"Ed and I had cornered Jordan when she missed 8 counselling appointments."

Paul's mouth hung open. "Those were the 8 you had missed last time. Jordan, you told me you had gone to your appointment."

I glared towards him a growl leaving my lips. "Paul, by the way you were acting today you knew I had skipped this appointment."

Wordy went to stand up but Paul put his hand up. "Jordan, look at me please."

I glanced up at him. "What?" I shouted at him.

Paul put his hands up. "How about we listen to what your father has to say?" He took my one hand in his.

I nodded leaning into him, kissing his neck.

"Jordan, imagine my surprise when I found out last night that you didn't attend your appointment with Sue yesterday afternoon. Where did you go for the time? Because obviously you managed to skip school too yesterday."

I gulped. "I went to the beach, sat there and thought about things."

"You should have called I would have come down to the beach to talk." Sue added to me.

I glanced up at her. "I was told it had to happen at your office, so I decided it was best just to have some time alone."

Sue nodded. "Typically, yes that is the case. But seeing how it was just an introduction meeting I probably could have made an exception."

I just shrugged. "Well it is too late now for that." I smiled up at Paul. "Guess we have to wait for next week to have this appointment."

Rav shook his head. "Unfortunately, Jordan if you don't have it you can spend Friday evening with me and Valerie instead of this date you plan on going on."

I turn purple eyes to him. "Cancelling my date won't do anyone any good, Rav."

He just sat back. Sadly, he was the only person I'd ever met well besides Paul who hasn't been affected by my eyes going that colour. His arms crossed over his chest, "You ready to put those eyes away, now?"

I stormed to my room, slamming the door behind me. I could hear Paul arguing with someone in the living room.

"You don't have to be like that to her. The past 24 hours have been rough, and you all know that. Hell, earlier today she was worried that I was going to dump her cause of last night."

"Paul, calm down." That has to have been Sue.

Then footsteps getting closer to my room, but they were soft, so I'm guessing probably Paul walking towards the room being cautious.

"You open that door, and the date on Friday is cancelled. I don't care if she agrees to go tomorrow or not." That was Wordy or Sam.

I could hear him banging on the door. "Jordan, please help me understand. I know you didn't collapse tonight but I need to know you are okay."

I knocked back on the door. "I'm okay."

"Come back to the living room. We can talk this out. I know seeing someone is hard, but Sue has an idea for this. Will you come out and listen to it?"

I took a deep breath, opening the door. "I need to use the washroom first."

"The door stays open, Jordan." Sam called from the living room. Surprisingly none of them had even moved really.

"You want Paul to stand there and watch me?" I giggled looking up at Paul. "Okay." I walked into the bathroom leaving the door open before going over to the toilet. "You might want to at least turn around while I do this."

"Rav, go check what she is doing, please. You know it is one of her favourites."

Paul had turned around while I was peeing when I heard the front door open. "Pizza is here." There was a pause as I heard a few steps. "You guys still aren't done yet?" It was Lou he had arrived with dinner.

I finished and flushed the toilet before washing my hands and splashing some water onto my face. My eyes had returned to their normal green they usually are. I took a deep breath as Paul came in snuggling up to my back.

"Ready to return to the living room. That pizza is making me hungry. He must have gone to Forks to pick it up."

When we got back to the living room Lou was sitting on the love seat where I had been sitting. He went to stand up and I shook my head. "No need for that, I'll just sit on Paul's lap." I smiled up at him before settling on his lap nuzzling my nose against his chest, and neck. Turning Sue slightly, "You have an idea of what to do?"

Sue nodded. "Yes, I understand you don't like the idea of missing class. But how about missing 10 minutes of one class?"

I just shrugged. "Which class?"

"Math." Sue took a breath. "Paul will be at your class and he will walk you to my office."

I huffed. "I don't need a babysitter."

Wordy glanced at me. "Obviously you do seeing how you managed to get lost yesterday while you were walking there."

I grumbled against Paul's chest. "Then what?"

Sue continued. "Then we will talk, and Paul will be back in time to get you to your health class tomorrow afternoon. Sam will clear it that you can eat during the health class."

I nodded. "I doubt I really have a choice in the matter." I grumbled before kissing Paul's neck.

He laughed deep in his chest. "If you continue kissing me there it will end up showing up."

Wordy smiled. "Okay, now that we have that settled let's eat." He stood walking over to the multiple boxes of pizzas on the table.

Sue glanced at us. "Jordan, I need a word with Paul really quickly before I leave."

The entire team was in the kitchen noisily talking about work stuff. "You can have it right here." I turned my head starting to lick and suck at that one spot on his neck. He responded by groaning and I could feel him getting harder poking my leg.

"Stop that, you." He groaned at me. "Now Sue and I need to discuss my next appointment, the when it is can, we do that?"

I simply shook my head. "They will all see your situation you are facing if I get up do you want that?" I smirked at him.

He laughed. "Not really but I'll be fine in a few minutes. You go get yourself some food. From what Emily said you ate quite a bit at lunch time."

I paled. "Sorry about that. Guess my dad didn't tell you that my appetite tends to increase a bit the day after that drug too."

Paul laughed. "No but it is okay. Now go get some pizza, Sue and I will be back inside in a few minutes."

I shook my head. "Use my room." I got off of him, giggling slightly as he stood walking towards my bedroom.

"Okay. Can I close the door?" he glanced at me.

I turned to Sam. We had never discussed if it could be closed if I wasn't actually in there with him. Spike glanced up. "Sure, go ahead. Just as long as Jordan isn't in there with you."

They closed the door over as I went to inspect the kinds of pizza that Lou had managed to pick up for us to eat. Granted there were quite a few kinds and I really was starving again. Lunch had been a while ago and it was hard to think clearly when I was hungry.

In a few minutes I was sitting at the table arguing with Lou about Paul and the fact that he was probably the best thing in my life right now when Paul came out of the bedroom. Sue left promising she would see me tomorrow and wishing us all a good night.
