Tom was restless. He lied in bed on his back with his hands behind his head. He couldn't sleep for some reason. He could hear his wife sleeping next to him. He glanced at her to see her on her side sound asleep. He knew that he should sleep because the kids had too many activities going on tomorrow. B'Elanna and he were going to be taking them all over town. He couldn't be tired especially when it was his turn to take Xavier to his bat'leth lesson. After the lesson, Xavier had too much energy and they had to find a way to release it before coming home.

Tom glanced at his wife one more time before getting out of the bed. He made sure that he didn't wake her. B'Elanna barely moved. Tom thought that it might be because of years of sleeping in the same bed. He made his way out of the room and headed for the stairs. On his way to the stairs, he checked on each of his children and found them all sleeping.

He made his way down through the dark house to the backdoor. He found a lawn chair and took a seat and glance up at the sky. The stars were out, and Tom was glad that they lived where they did, so they could see the stars. He wondered if he was restless because he missed space. It has been many years since he has been on any spaceship. He didn't regret the choice he made by giving up Starfleet and raising their kids on Earth. He wouldn't know how they would have done it on a ship.

Miral was talking about going to Starfleet when she graduated from high school. He knew that he or B'Elanna had not pushed Starfleet on the kids. Tom would be happy with whatever they decided to do in life. Tom thought that his children had space in their blood. The Paris family was known for exploring and they also had Klingon blood in them. The Klingons were in space before humans were. He wondered if Xavier was going to decide that Starfleet was for him or take a different path. Selena was too young to know what she wanted to do with her life.

"What are you doing out here?" Tom looked up to see B'Elanna standing there. He made room for her to sit on the chair with him. B'Elanna raised one eyebrow at him before sitting on the edge.

"I couldn't sleep," Tom said. "So, I came out here to look at the stars." B'Elanna gave him a look. She was the only person that knew him so well. Tom sighed. "I have been feeling restless lately."

B'Elanna moved on the chair to where she was sitting next to him, and Tom put a hand around her. "Restless how?"

"I don't know," Tom glanced at the sky again. "I have been wondering what our life would have been like if we stayed in space."

"Like on Voyager or just in Starfleet?" B'Elanna asked.

"Both, I guess," Tom sighed.

"Well, it would be hard raising our three kids in space especially your son," B'Elanna said.

Tom smiled at that. "You do know that he is your son, too. He doesn't get it all from me."

"I don't know what you are talking about," B'Elanna leaned her head against his shoulder. "I was sweet and innocent until I met you."

Tom snorted. "You always tasted sweet to me, but innocent I think not. You were the one that jumped me."

"I did no such thing," B'Elanna ran a hand over his shirt.

"I can remember several times that you jumped me. There was the one time that you…" Tom started but B'Elanna threw a hand over his mouth. Tom planted a kiss on her hand. He moved her hand and started to kiss down her arm. Tom could see the fire in her eyes.

"Tom, we are close to the house," B'Elanna let a breath. "Or we have to make it to our room."

Tom stopped kissing her arm. He lifted her head. "Or I could make out with wife right here," He kissed her lips. B'Elanna moaned in the kiss. Tom felt her hand on his chest.

Tom had a hand at the edge of her shirt when they heard. "Gross," Tom looked up to see his son, standing there. B'Elanna broke the kiss and started laughing in his chest.

"What are you doing up?" Tom asked. He glared at his son.

Xavier only smiled at his father. "I was getting a drink when I saw you out here," Xavier looked at his parents. "What are you doing out here?" He asked.

"Looking at the stars," Tom hissed at his son. He really wanted him to leave, so he can continue to kiss his wife under the stars.

"I don't think you were at the stars with your lips on Mom's," Xavier looked at his parents. He wondered why they still acted like they were young and in love.

Tom didn't know what to say to his son because he was right. "Xavier, go back to bed," B'Elanna said in tone that had Xavier nodded.

"Just don't ruin her," Xavier said as he went back in the house.

Tom watched Xavier make his way through the kitchen and upstairs. Tom started to laugh as soon as he couldn't see Xavier anymore. B'Elanna started laughing with him.

"Like I said your son," B'Elanna smiled at Tom.

Tom didn't say anything. He was done talking about his son. He grabbed B'Elanna's hand. "I think that we need to listen to his advice."

Tom stood and B'Elanna followed him. "What advice?" There was a fire in B'Elanna's eyes that sent Tom's blood on fire.

"I should ruin you," Tom whispered in her ear before leading her away from the house.

"I think you need to get your ears clean because I heard that you shouldn't ruin me," B'Elanna followed him.

"If he only knew that I ruin you many years ago," Tom led her down the path to the lake.

B'Elanna laughed. Soon they forgot about their son and only had the stars for company. They fell asleep in each other's and woke with the sun hitting their back. They quickly dress and made their way to the house. They entered the house to find all three children sitting at the island looking at their parents that just walked in.

"You just had to ruin her, didn't you," Xavier shook his head at his parents.

"Boy," Tom growled at Xavier before making his way to him. Xavier jumped off his bar stool and ran for it.

B'Elanna looked at her daughters to see what they were up too. They didn't say anything, just kept eating their breakfast. B'Elanna turned to the replicator and asked for a black coffee.

"Mom, you got a leaf in your hair," Selena said.

B'Elanna reached behind and pulled it out. B'Elanna took her coffee and headed for the stairs. She glanced in the family room to see Tom and Xavier. "Tom, please don't kill my son," B'Elanna took a sip of her coffee as she headed upstairs.
