The Maw-Ray yawned and accidentally swallowed a Blooper before we see inside to see Peter and Donkey Kong inside the Maw-Ray. They sat in the junk the Maw-Ray had sucked up over time.
"So this is the end. Being slowly digested by an eel next to an idiot in an onsie." Donkey Kong scoffed as he tossed a fragment of Rainbow Road.
"Well, at least your friends aren't gonna die because of you," Peter growled.
"At least you're not gonna die with your dad thinking you're a joke." Donkey Kong said as he tossed the fragment of Rainbow Road.
"Well, I've got no other family," Peter told Donkey Kong as he sighed and sat down. "My friends are the only family I have... and now they might be captured. I'm such an idiot."
"Yeah, well..." Donkey Kong sounded almost sympathetic for a second. Then he tossed the junk towards Peter. "You are!"
'You know what? I feel bad enough. Just-just leave me alone." Peter demanded. "Just go in a corner and SMASH some stuff, SMASH MONKEY!"
Donkey Kong then ended up losing his temper as he punched the ground. "I...AM...MORE...THAN A GUY...WHO SMASHES THINGS!"
His punches seemed to cause the Maw-Ray to regurgitate what it ate, causing a giant gust of wind to fly toward them and send them flying backward. It ended up knocking them into Donkey Kong's kart which still has its second rocket barrel left. Peter and Donkey Kong smugly grin at each other as they get the idea to use the rocket barrel to escape the Maw-Ray.
The Maw-Ray opened its mouth, swimming its way to the surface, and spat the two out as the smoke was becoming too much from the rocket. They cheered as they flew on the barrel off and back towards the Mushroom Kingdom.
"That was amazing!" Peter cheered.
"Now we're even!" Donkey Kong said as he directed them towards the Kingdom.
Back in the Mushroom Kingdom, in Bowser's floating kingdom, Bowser's army and Peach getting ready for the wedding. People were leaving question blocks as gifts, as well as a Yoshi egg. Peach was in the back and sighed as she knew that surrendering was the best chance to save everyone at the moment. But she had a feeling Bowser wouldn't let them go. And with Franklin and Val still out there, she didn't know what to do.
Peach sighed as she was still saddened by what happened to Peter, still unaware that he was still alive and was coming to help. She then watched as a bubble flew past her face, getting her confused as she looked to a nearby window.
"Peach? Princess?" A voice called out.
"Val?" Peach was shocked to hear her voice. "What are you-" she shrieked when she saw herself come out of the window. "Val?"
"Yeah," Val said, her voice exiting the Peach lookalike. "We used the power-ups."
"We?" Peach asks.
Franklin popped his head out of the window, wearing an outfit similar to the F4 outfits, but with a bubble on his chest. "Hey, Peach."
"Okay, I am happy you guys are okay, but how did you get in here?" Peach wonders.
"Easy, they thought she was you," Franklin admitted.
Peach looked at Val and had to admit, minus the crown being wrong, that she did indeed look exactly like her. "Okay, but what are you doing here?"
"We wanna help," Franklin explained.
Peach sighed as she knew she needed to hope Toad found what she needed. "Okay, if you wanna help, stay hidden, and when I give you the signal, come and help."
"What's the signal?" Franklin wonders.
"You'll know," Peach promises, hearing that people were approaching. "Quick, hide."
The two kids vanished while Peach sighed as she walked over and fixed her hair. She was a little worried Toad wouldn't make it when he arrived.
"Princess... I got it!" Toad said, holding a bouquet.
Peach sighed in relief and took it. "Great job."
"Couldn't have you going out there without your bouquet," Toad said with a metaphorical wink.
"It's perfect," Peach said, proud to see that their plan would work.
The doors open with Felix Mendelssohn's "Wedding March" playing and Peach walks up to the altar where Bowser is waiting for her. He was dressed in the same outfit he did the rehearsal with Kamek earlier.
Peach gasped when she saw Johnny, Susan, Reed, Ben, Cranky Kong, and Bowser's other caged prisoners being carried forward by a mechanism above a huge pool of lava below the altar.
"I'll be sacrificing them in your honor," Bowser said, getting a shocked and horrified look from Peach. "Lower the prisoners!"
[The mechanism starts lowering the prisoners closer to the lava pool.]
The conveyor belt begins to lower them into the lava pit, causing them to panic.
Kamek opened up a book as he began to clear his throat. "Dearly belove-"
Peach punches Kamek, much to the shock of Bowser and the guests.
"Huh?!"
"Draaaaamaaaaa..."
Peach shook her fist and looked at Bowser. "You really thought I'd marry you?"
Bowser wasn't sure what to say. "Kinda!"
Peach then pulled out the Ice Flower power-up from her bouquet. "I'd never marry a monster."
Peach powers up with an Ice Flower hidden in her bouquet. Her entire outfit changed into a more blue and frosted version of her dress.
Bowser growled in anger. "Then we are breaking up. Right now!"
Bowser tries to shoot his fire breath at Peach, but Peach dodges and sent a snowball that freezes Bowser. Peach throws an ice ball at the gear lowering the prisoners, temporarily saving them from the lava. Bowser's army furiously gangs up on Peach as Peach fights back. That's when the doors opened up again, and they saw Franklin and Val.
"Was that the signal?" Franklin asks.
"That was the signal!" Peach confirmed.
Franklin then used his power-up to shoot bubbles from his hands that encased the Koopas when they charged at him. Val rushed over and leaped, using her newfound strength to fight back using Peack's skills.
Out in the distance, Peter and Donkey Kong ride the rocket barrel up to Bowser's Castle. They noticed Bowser's fortress high above the kingdom and knew he had to be there.
"They gotta be up there." Peter guessed.
Down on the Mushroom castle, a Koopa readies a Bill Blaster and aims it at the rocket barrel. "Fire!"
Another Koopa fires the Bullet Bill at the rocket barrel, disabling it. Peter and Donkey Kong are knocked and sent falling to the ground. Donkey Kong took a hard fall, Peter used his web wings to glide his way down gently. They look up to see a bunch of "?" Blocks were being gathered by Bowser's Army. Bowser's army gives worried looks to Peter and Donkey Kong.
Peter smiled as he looked towards DK. "You wanna do this?"
DK showed a grin and nodded. "Yes, I do."
Donkey Kong rolls the disabled rocket barrel at the "?" Block pile. The rocket barrel explodes, knocking out several troops and scattering the "?" Blocks everywhere. Peter, after stomping several Goombas and shooting a web at a Koopa Troopa, then hurling him at a "?" Block activated it, sending a mushroom at him and he then kicked another "?" Block Block on the ground. The one he punches gives Donkey Kong a Fire Flower and transforms him into Fire Donkey Kong.
"Yes! Fire!" DK cheered, lighting a fireball.
Peter quickly ate the mushroom and his body enlarged, and his muscles increased. "Ooh, I like this one!"
Peter and Donkey Kong platform and fight their way through Bowser's army. Peter noticed Shocker as he charged his gauntlets, but Peter quickly leaped and dodged it, shooting a web that he then swung and slammed Shocker into Li.
They rushed in while DK sent a fireball that caused an explosion, rushed through the flying turtle shells, and then escaped up a pipe. Peter shot several webs and used them to latch to the flying shells, and used them to slam into the ground. Crawling his way upward, he dodged a piranha plant and used it to fly higher into the air where he saw DK was surrounded by Koopa's with spears. Peter came flying down and slammed into the ground, giving them the chance to keep going.
"This is fun!" DK cheered.
Otto Octavius came down, but Peter was quick as he slid downward and slid down the middle of his mechanical arms, getting Otto's attention as Donkey Kong came down and knocked Otto over, breaking his pack that was controlling the arms.
"See ya, Ock!" Peter laughed.
Peter kicks a shell at several of Bowser's troops, but the shell recoils and hits Peter as he lands before he can dodge it, powering him down to normal.
"Ha! Loser!" DK mocked before the shell then recoiled at him, powering him down too.
Peter rushes, crawling up the side of a mountain, and punches another "?" Block floating above him, which gives him a propellor-looking mushroom and gives him a cap and a red suit with his Spider logo on the chest.
"Hey, what does this do?!" Peter begins flying around, trying to get control of the propeller. "Whoa!"
A Koopa in a Clown Car fires at Peter as he dodges it and shoots a web that causes him to drag the Clown Car and smacks the Koop away with his webbing and gets his flight under control.
Donkey Kong climbs the spike ball anchor up to Bowser's Castle with Peter flying close by.
"Cool propeller suit!" DK said.
"Really?" Peter asks.
"Not at all!" DK mocked.
Peach continues to fight off Bowser's army with the help of Valeria and Franklin, Val finds a frying pan amongst her skills and uses it to fight a Koopa as Franklin uses his bubbles to encase them.
A Koopa Paratroopa throws a spear at Peach, or at least Val disguised as Peach. But the real Peach catches the spear, dips the end of it in a nearby lava pool, and throws it at King Bob-omb's fuse and he begins to panic.
Peach hears ice cracking and sees the ice on the mechanism's gear break and readies another ice ball to freeze it again.
King Bob-omb explodes and powers down Peach before she can throw another ice ball at the gear, causing her and the kids to lose their power-ups in the process. The mechanism starts lowering the prisoners again.
Johnny panics as he comes dangerously close to being burned in lava, dodging the lava by clinging to the top of the cage with his hands and feet.
Lumalee seemed excited about this. "Whee!"
Reed and Ben panicked as Susan tried to use her forcefields to block the lava, but the heat was still too intense.
Johnny comes dangerously close to being burned in the lava as almost the entire cage is submerged in the lava, but the cage suddenly stops.
Donkey Kong managed to reach the gears as he grunts and turns the mechanism's gears backward, raising the prisoners away from the lava.
Everyone cheers in relief except for Lumalee. "Boo..."
Johnny tries to climb to the top of the cage, but his hand slips and he starts falling towards the lava. It took him a quick second or two before he finally remembered something.
"Oh, wait. FLAME ON!" Johnny burst into flames as he fell and flew off with a laugh, quickly spotting Val and Franklin as he flew over and landed.
"Val? Franklin!" Johnny cried as his niece and nephew ran to him. "What are you two doing here?"
"We came to help!" Val explained.
"Where..."
"Johnny!" Peter cheered as he flew over and landed. "You're alright!"
"Pete, ky dude!" Johnny rushed and was happy to die his friend. Then he got a closer look at what he was wearing. "Pete, why do you look like a kid at a baseball game? What is this?"
Donkey Kong frees Cranky Kong from his cage.
"Ya did good, kid. Make your pecs dance, you deserve it." Cranky said with pride.
"No time now! Definitely later!" Donkey Kong said.
Bowser, still trapped in ice, regains consciousness and sees Peter, Johnny, Peach, Toad, the kids, and Donkey Kong together. The rest of the Fantastic Four came out and rushed to hug the other members lf their family.
Peach walked over and hugged Peter, her voice muffled by the ice but he could tell she was praising him which infuriated him to the point that he breathes fire and sets his head free. Everyone jumped back and prepared to fight him, but saw he was still encased in ice.
"Launch the Bomber Bill and DESTROY THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM!" Bowser demanded.
Then a Bomber Bill explosively shoots out of the volcano-like opening in Bowser's Castle and speeds downward targeted at Peach's Castle.
Peter saw he was the only one with a power ip and quickly took flight with Johnny and they sped beside the Bomber Bill, trying to get its attention.
"Hey, hey... Hey, over here!" Johnny cried, trying to push the bomb out of the way.
Peter tries hitting the Bomber Bill's side repeatedly but to no effect. Peter tries pushing against the Bomber Bill's front but ends up with his back against its tip.
Johnny frantically looks around as the Bomber Bill gets closer to Peach's Castle, but gets an idea after looking at its eye. "You asked for it!"
Johnny shoots fire at the Bomber Bill's eye with his powers. The scorch caused the Bomber Bill to stop dead in its tracks, bending the flagpole on top of Peach's Castle before angrily glaring at the two of them.
"We've got his attention," Johnny said. "What's step two?"
"Uh... I don't know," Peter admitted. "I didn't think I would get this far."
The Bomber Bill then turned to change direction as it chased the two of them through the Mushroom Kingdom. They flew as fast as they could to avoid the Bomber Bill from exploding.
"We need a plan! Please tell me you have a plan!" Johnny begged.
Peter tries to come up with a plan when he spots the same Warp Pipe that first took him to the Mushroom Kingdom and gets an idea. "Follow me!"
"Okay," Johnny did exactly what Peter said and followed his friend.
Peter starts leading the Bomber Bill to the Warp Pipe with Johnny close behind. "Come on..."
Peter gets the Bomber Bill flying straight into the Warp Pipe's direction and speeds up with Johnny doing the same.
"What are we doing?!" Johnny asks.
"You wouldn't like it if I told you!" Peter said. "Just keep flying. Little closer..."
They get as close as possible to the Warp Pipe without going in it and Peter looks back to see the Bill on their tail. "Split!" He dives down as Johnny flew upward at the last second.
The Bomber Bill is sucked into the Warp Pipe with great force, but it explodes after floating into the Warp Zone, creating a visible disturbance on the outside of the Mushroom Kingdom's Warp Pipe.
The Warp Pipe creates an explosion that throws Peter and Johnny against the wall of Bowser's Castle and powers Peter down to normal. Peter falls before grabbing onto a ledge of Bowser's Castle.
"Did we do it?" Johnny groaned.
The Warp Pipe's significantly increased suction range starts sucking everything in the Mushroom Kingdom's vicinity into the Warp Pipe with The Fantastic Four, Peach, Toad, Peter, and Donkey Kong grabbing onto objects to try to prevent getting sucked in. Peter loses his grip on the ledge and gets sucked into the Warp Pipe while screaming in horror.
The Warp Pipe in the underground sewer shoots Peter out of a manhole and Peter crash-lands onto the ground before getting up. He groaned as he looked around and was shocked to see he was back on the streets of New York.
"New York?" Peter was shocked when he looked around at the sight. "But..." His senses then alerted him like crazy, meaning something big was about to go down. "Uh, oh."
Bowser's Castle emerges from the pipe, as do several Mushroom Kingdom debris and various other islands shooting off. Peter backed off as he realized that the entire adjacent realm had begun to merge with their world, sending a shockwave throughout the entire world. Peter gasped in shock when he began to run to dodge the debris caused by Bowser's castle coming through the tunnel.
Peach, Toad, the Fantastic Four, and Donkey Kong get trapped under debris while Luigi frantically takes cover inside a dumpster. The Super Star is launched from Bowser's Castle and lands a short distance in front of Peter.
An infuriated Bowser gets up. "Spider-Man!" Peter panics when he sees Bowser and races toward the Super Star, but Bowser leaps from his castle and blocks him. "You want THIS?"
He brutally grabs Peter by the arm and holds him up. Peter exclaims fearfully and whimpers in fear as he isn't sure how much this is going to hurt. Bowser snarls and gives him a massive sucker punch, sending him flying backward into a car's windshield, causing Peter to groan in pain. Bowser breathes fire at Peter, who rolls off the car and dodges the flames as the car is enveloped by them.
"You RUINED my wedding!" Bowser cried, watching Peter go for his web shooters, sending a web towards Bowser, which he ended up grabbing and yanking on it. Peter was flung towards Bowser who punched him again, sending Peter flying down the street. "I was FINALLY gonna be happy! Now you will SUFFER... LIKE ME!"
With a mighty whack of his tail, Bowser blasts Peter into Joe's Pizzeria, knocking down the TV in the process. Peter starts grunting in pain as he hides behind a booth as he feels his arm was dislocated.
"You really thought you could stop me? You worthless, weak little nothing!" Bowser marched over towards Peter. "COME OUT AND FIGHT! Or are you too scared?" Peter sighed as he looked at his arm and groaned in pain. "Just what I thought."
Then a billy club came down and smashed into Bowser, getting him to see the billy club was returning to the Daredevil. "I don't know who you are, buddy, or what you are, but you came to the wrong neighborhood."
That was when a forcefield hit Bowser, causing him to look over and see Princess Peach rushes over in a spinning kick at Bowser, who grunts. Ben came in and slammed a taxi over his head, causing Bowser to groan. Donkey Kong bodyslams into Bowser with a punch, knocking Bowser over as Daredevil comes in, slamming him in with the billy club again. Reed came in, wrapping himself around Bowser's limbs to try and slow him down.
This angered Bowser even more, and he turned his attention to his attackers and fought back. He knocks Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, and Toad with his arm before getting Reed off of him, tossing him towards the Fantastic Four before he then charged at them.
Peter found himself teetering on the edge of despair, his body aching from the relentless blows delivered by Bowser, the formidable foe who seemed more beast than man. The once vibrant glimmer in his eyes had dimmed, a heavy sigh escaping his lips as waves of hopelessness washed over him. Yet, in that moment of weakness, he felt the fire within him flicker with determination.
Having faced defeat countless times before, he knew all too well the feeling of hitting rock bottom. Each time he had been battered down, he always managed to rise again, fueled by an unwavering spirit. His body, though bruised and battered, was a testament to his resilience. Bowser may have been a powerhouse, but Peter was a warrior at heart. With grit in his teeth and a fierce resolve, he refused to let this setback define him. He had persevered through hardships before, and today would be no different; he would not surrender to despair.
Peter's face changes to determination, bravery, and confidence, realizing that it's up to him to save his friends and his home. Peter gets out from hiding, stretches his right arm, and adjusts it back into place as he slams it against a stall.
"Let's do this... one last time," Peter snarled at himself, walking out into the open.
Peter comes outside just as Bowser is overpowering Donkey Kong. Bowser punches the ape, grabs him by the throat, and lifts him up. He lashes his claws out, preparing to finish him off. But...
"Hey!" Peter called out, getting Bowser to stop his strike. "Leave him alone!"
Bowser ended up releasing Donkey Kong as he stared at Peter. "You just don't know when to quit!"
"Yeah. I've been told that before." Peter chuckled, preparing to fight him.
Peach smiles, remembering the conversation she and Peter had after the hero defeated Donkey Kong. She was amazed that even when he is bruised and injured, he is still choosing to help others. Just then, she sees Kamek with the Super Star and gets an idea.
"Peter!" Peach shoves and pushes two Koopa Troopas holding her to the ground, and kicks a Green Shell over to the Super Star, sending it flying. "The star!"
Peter watched the star fly over him and land a few feet away from him.
"No! That's MINE!" Bowser screamed.
They both run after the Super Star but Peter is closer and is faster. Bowser saw he wasn't going to make it and breathed fire at Peter, getting him to shriek as he covered his eyes from the flames. But the flames never hit. He was shocked when he looked and was shocked to see Susan standing there, using her powers to create a forcefield with the other members standing behind it.
"Get the Star, Peter!" Susan tells him.
Peter however had another idea as he grabbed Susan and the others saw what he was doing last they leaped towards the Star, just when it looked like Bowser's Fire Breath hit them.
"No!" Peach cried in terror, seeing the heroes all die in the flames.
Bowser laughs, seeing he achieved victory just as the smoke clears, it's revealed Peter and the others have become invincible thanks to the Super Star. Bowser tries to stomp them to no avail as it doesn't cause them to move. Peter and Susan then send Bowser flying with an uppercut.
"Amazing," Reed said in awe. "It is like our atoms have been put in a constant state of-"
"Reed, dude, we are invincible! Zip it!" Johnny told him.
"RIP THEM TO PIECES!" Bowser demanded his army.
The Koopas, Spinies, Shy Guys, Hammer Bros, Sledge Bros, Goombas, Buzzy Beatles, Koopa Paratroopas, and Piranha Plants follow Bowser's orders and rush towards the Fantastic Four and Peter.
Everyone grew a grin as they nodded at each other and split up. A Sledge Bro tries to hit Invincible Peter but the hammer gets destroyed Invincible Peter flips over and shoots a web attached to the Sledge Bro and he throws him at the Koopas, while Donkey Kong jumps with Peach and Toad in his arms.
A Shy Guy is jumping Daredevil as the Dry Bones, Snifit and Hammer Bro corner him as he is preparing to fight them off. Invincible Johnny flew in fast as he defeated Dry Bones, slamming into the ground, sending the bones scattering before he then used its shell as a shield to block Hammer Bro's hammers and shoot fire at both the Hammer Bro and Snifit. Invincible Ben grabs a Shy Guy's strap, before letting it go, sending the Shy Guy flying.
"Oh, hey, Matt!" Johnny greeted Daredevil before he zoomed off.
Matt was shocked when he heard his name be used. "Johnny?"
Invincible Reed and Invincible Reed run side by side and zoom into the Koopa Army, meeting up with Johnny as he flew down aside them, taking care of the flying Paragoomba while Peter came in swinging and kicked a Koopa out of a flying cloud. Ben came charging as he punched a Hammer Bro, defeating them easily.
The Spinies, Hammer Bros, Piranha Plant, Shy Guys, Buzzy Beetles and Goombas. The team jumps on the Bullet Bills and Paratroopas, defeating them. Bowser throws a car at them, once again to no avail, as Invincible Peter and Invincible Reed grab a power line like a trapeze and kick him.
Bowser tries to crush them, but Invincible Susan slides underneath him and uses a forcefield to throw him on the ground.
Invincible Ben headbutts Bowser and uses a mushroom as a trampoline. Invincible Peter uppercuts and bicycle-kicks Bowser as Invincible Reed uses his elastic powers to pick up and slingshot a pile of blocks at him, causing the Koopa King to collapse.
Invincible Peter and Invincible Johnny grab Bowser by his tail, spin him around, and toss him up in the air. Invincible Susan and Invincible Johnny jump up high and punch Bowser, sending him to the ground, and causing a giant crack in the sculpture of his face on his castle.
Everyone, aside from Ben, did a front flip and prepared the finishing double-curb stomp. Bowser attempts to scorch them to death, but they break through the fire breath and strike Bowser, destroying his castle in the process. The Star begins to wear off as they all stand around the defeated Bowser while Peach, Donkey Kong, Toad, Val, and Franklin walk their way up to see the defeated Bowser.
"Peaches..." Bowser chuckles. "Uh, listen, this is not the way I pictured it, but give me one more chance."
Peach seemed disgusted by that as she pulled out a small blue mushroom, the same Mini Mushroom Peter took during his fight with DK. "Ew. No."
"No-no-no-no-no-!" Bowser exclaimed in a panic as Princess Peach playfully force-fed him a Mini Mushroom. Almost instantly, he began to shrink down to the size of a small toy. "Hey! Hey! That is so not cool!" he protested, his voice high-pitched and incredulous.
From the sidelines, Donkey Kong let out a hearty laugh, clapping his massive hands together in amusement. "Ha! He got the Blue Mushroom!" he jested, nudging Peter with a playful jab. The memory of the same mushroom being used in their previous battle brought a grin to his face.
Peter chuckled lightheartedly as he observed Toad carefully scoop up the miniature Bowser and place him gently inside a glass jar. With a teasing smile, he remarked, "See? Told you I'd get you a pet turtle."
Peach couldn't help but giggle, her cheeks tinged with a soft pink. "Not bad, Spider-Guy," she said, her eyes sparkling with delight. Leaning in, she planted a quick peck on his cheek, leaving him momentarily flustered.
"I don't get it," Johnny interjected with a scoff, crossing his arms with a frown. "What do these princesses see in that guy?"
"Keep wondering," Ben chuckled, giving Johnny a friendly pat on the shoulder, reveling in the lighthearted banter.
"Ah, bring it in!" Donkey Kong bellowed, opening his arms wide and pulling everyone into a mighty embrace, the sheer force of his hug causing many to gasp for breath in a hilarious display of camaraderie.
Just then, the soft sound of applause began to swell through the air, drawing everyone's attention. They turned to see a crowd gathered, all clapping enthusiastically. Among them, Matt stood with a knowing smile, chuckling to himself before slipping quietly back into the shadows, leaving the echoes of joy behind.
The cheer of the populace resonated warmly, filling the atmosphere with an infectious energy as they celebrated the peculiar family's antics.
"You do realize we might have disrupted the entire ecosystem of our two worlds by merging them together like this, right?" Reed pondered aloud, turning to Susan as they waved to the enthusiastic crowd, concern etched on his face.
"Just smile and wave, Reed," Susan replied with a bright smile, her tone reassuring. With a serene expression, she did precisely that, embracing the moment. "We can handle whatever comes our way tomorrow."
Peter stood alongside the Fantastic Four, Princess Peach, Toad, and Donkey Kong, all striking a lively pose as they leaped into the air in a moment of jubilant celebration, the click of a camera capturing their cheerful exuberance. The vibrant image soon graced the pages of the latest newspaper, perched proudly on a bulletin board in Peter's cozy bedroom, the headline boldly declaring, "NEW YORK SAVED!"
Suddenly, the shrill sound of Peter's phone alarm broke the morning calm.
