Important Note: This is my first fanfic and I'm new to writing fanfics. After writing this chapter, I don't know if I may continue the story due to being lazy or due to school, but I would like to get some reviews that can help me add ideas, improve the writing, or to give me advice in things that I did on previous chapters that I shouldn't do in the future ones. I haven't seen too much about Sonic, but I did my very best in studying and researching some materials about Sonic the Hedgehog and the things that can be found in the game, cartoons, or comics. That's all, I hope that y'all enjoy my first fanfic.

Chapter 1: The Beginning
Tedious was all the fox could think. Fighting Eggman and beating him was something that used to excite him, but now, after years of fighting him and beating him, he has lost that excitement as they had always won and destroyed his inventions. Even after these years, Eggman has lost ideas on what to create to destroy them and rule the world. Boy even his names of his inventions are starting to sound mundane to him.
Sonic and Tails were listening to Eggman's monologuing of how his "invention was better than the last", all Sonic and Tails could do was giggle and laugh at him because they knew that they would destroy it in no time. "Ok Tails, I bet you that I will destroy this machine in 3 seconds" said Sonic. Tails then declared "I bet that you would destroy it in just 1 second". As Eggman overheard them, he got mad and started up his weapon. The machine opened holes which let out badniks to attack them, while also firing lasers at both Sonic and Tails. Tails dodged the bullet and flew up attacking the badniks in the air with his tails and wrench, Sonic speed dashed the badniks on the ground with ease. He reached Eggman and destroyed his invention in under 2 seconds.
Unbeknownst to them, this was his plan, a successful plan that the mad scientist has created to capture the pesky hedgehog and his mutant friend fox and finally rule the world. When Sonic entered the machine, Eggman flipped a switch that revealed itself as a giant cage with Sonic crashing into the titanium bars, electrocuting him in the process. Tails watched in shock as Sonic got captured, but due to his shock he got hit by a laser in the chest, laying him unconscious. The last thing that Tails could hear before closing his eyes was Sonic calling his name.
Tails woke up, he saw that it was night time, but he didn't know if it was the same day or a few days. He groaned as he started getting up, his memory fuzzy due to the shot. He checked his wound to find out that there was blood coming off of it, dry blood. Tails was surprised to see this because it had to have killed him, this made him worry more because it meant he had bled for hours without any care. He was also curious at why the others didn't find him. This thought made him realize that Eggman captured Sonic before he went unconscious. As he stood up, his whole body fought against him, his legs gave out, he gasped for air. He had to forcefully crawl his way to the Tornado to get the medkit that he stored in case of these situations. Using the chest seal to cover his wound and covering the rest of his chest with gaze, he found a very durable stick to use to help him walk and stand up. He knew he didn't have the strength to fly the Tornado, so he had to rest on the island. He looked for his communicator only to find it broken.
"Great, now I can't even tell anybody back home about Sonic's capture and me being stuck on this island." Tails said frustrated. He had no choice but to sleep as it was already night. Tomorrow is a new day, hopefully he can recover better and be able to fly the Tornado. Tails went inside the Tornado's cockpit to sleep, making sure that everything was off before he fell asleep.
