Chapter 1: Stella's Prologue
Dear Diary
My, it's been a really long time since I did this.
I think the last time was before...certain things happened before my divorce...man that was a long time ago.
Anyway, it is I, Stella Veronique Patricia Marie Traville-Bevier, the eldest daughter of Richard Traville, the wife of Jean-Luc and the mother of Star, Pierre and...um...well, stepmother of Colette.
Yes...uh...well, where was I?
Oh, yes. It's been about a week since my darling Star's sixteenth birthday party. My little girl is now 16 and I am so happy and proud of the wonderful young lady she has become. Not only that but my little Pierre is growing up so fast. He's already talking, has taken his first steps and is becoming cuter every day and I love and am absolutely proud of my sweet little angel.
And Colette...uh...well...let's just say...certain things happened, and Jean-Luc and I decided it would be best to send her to a boarding school in London for a while. We decided it's for the best.
Everyone did. Including the judge...
I mean...uh...oh, good news... Star and Danny celebrated their sixth month anniversary together. Isn't that lovely?
My little girl is growing up and she already has a steady boyfriend. I regret that I wasn't always nice to Danny at first, but I am glad that my daughter found someone who makes her so happy like he does.
They really are a sweet couple, and I know they have a bright future together.
Reminds me of how happy I was when I was dating Johnath-...I MEAN...when I was dating Jean-Luc.
Yes, that's what I meant.
Anyway, things have been a bit...unusual lately but life has settled down again.
Danny and Star are happily dating, my sweet little Pierre is growing up so fast, and I do think Johnathan and I are getting along again for our daughter's sake.
Johnathan...
He seems to be doing fine too. After a certain incident, he is in the process of suing that horrible superintendent and those awful teachers at Casper High who tried to unjustly expel my poor little Star and her friends. Thankfully, the police and Johnathan managed to prove their innocence and now my ex-husband is in the process of taking that lousy school staff to court for what they did.
He really is such a good and protective father to our little Star.
You should have seen the look on that superintendent's face when Johanthan said we all would be doing a class action lawsuit against him and his idiot teachers for doing a lousy job.
The last time I talked to him, Johnathan looked so determined to take them down for what they did. He looked so determined...and angry...and fierce...and passionate...and so handso-...
WAIT! I mean...handsomely ready to take those fools down to the courthouse. Yes, that's what I mean!
Anyway...uh...where was I going with this again?
Oh, right.
Well, things were tense for a while but now everything is fine.
Yes, everything is just fine!
Everything is fine...It is...I mean it!
Stella couldn't continue writing, so she just stopped.
She placed her diary back where she found it. In her old hope chest that was kept in one of the rooms she and Jean Luc lock away all their valuables and antiques.
Once she locked it away, she walked out of that room and back into the Penthouse's living room.
She soon sat at a nearby table. It was early in the morning, almost seven and the penthouse was eerily quiet right now.
She had already woken up at five in the morning and did her usual early morning beauty regime that she always did before Jean-Luc woke up. Her routine consists of in bathing, dressing in her finest clothes, using all of her expensive beauty products to make sure her skin remains youthful looking, using her expensive and high-quality makeup to highlight her beauty and she was also extra careful with styling her hair nicely. She always made sure her appearance was impeccable before her husband woke up and they had breakfast together. She did her routine like she does every morning...only to recall he wasn't even home right now and hasn't been for a while.
Stella sighed as she knew she did it out of habit again, and she also knew why she is alone right now.
Colette is still away in boarding school and Jean-Luc still hasn't returned from home yet. He said some business happened in Europe and he won't be home for at least another week...leaving the blonde woman alone.
Still, she tried to see the positives here and be optimistic.
"Okay...Colette is already at that school and will get the help she needs...and Jean-Luc says this deal will bring in a lot more money if it all goes well. That's always good. More money..."She thought to herself, trying to keep a smile on her face as she thought this.
One that faltered as she looked around the large, opulent yet mostly empty penthouse that belonged to the Bevier family. The blonde woman was silent, looking down for a moment before sounds of a small child calling for her snapped her out of that.
"Mama...Mama..."Pierre's voice could be heard calling from the nursery.
Stella snapped out of whatever it was she was in, got up and quickly ran to her son's room and soon saw her baby boy who just woke up. Once she saw him, the gloom that the wealthy woman felt was almost instantly gone in favor of caring for her child.
"Oh, my little angel! You're up. Good morning, Sweetie..."Stella said as she picked up her son and held him in her arms.
Pierre smiled when he saw her and laughed, making the woman's heart melt.
"Mama...baba..."Pierre said, and his mother knew what he meant.
"Oh, don't worry my baby. Mama has your bottle ready..."Stella said, having got it ready since Pierre usually wakes up around this time.
She fed her son, burped him, changed his diaper, did his usual morning routine and got him ready for the day.
Once done, she grabbed her diaper bag, made sure it was filled with clean diapers, baby powder, wipes, bottles, a nice blanket and pillow, bibs, toys, pacifiers and all the other essentials her little boy might need for their little outing today. She also brought the stroller as well.
Once done, she sent a smile to her precious son, who was currently playing with his favorite toy, a cute little tiger that his sister Star gifted him a few months ago and now her son really loved that today.
"Okay, my little angel. Ready to have a nice day together at the park..."Stella said in a cooing voice to her son, who giggled.
"Park! Park!..."Pierre said, giggling.
Stella smiled at him.
She had some appointments later today but that can all wait. What mattered the most right now is spending time with her baby and making him happy.
"Yes, this is going to be a fine day, isn't it?..."Stella said, smiling at her son though a small part of her was trying to convince herself of that too.
That is when she heard a dog's barking and saw that it was Fifi, who had already finished her breakfast. Stella smiled at her pet.
"Oh, don't think I forgot you, Fifi..."Stella said, as she grabbed a leash and soon her pet was ready to leave with them.
She grabbed her keys, called the chauffeur to get the limo ready and soon they were ready to leave to go spend a nice day together outside.
Yes, it will be a nice day today. Stella was sure of it.
Meanwhile
"DANNY, BEHIND YOU!..."Star, wearing her ghost hunting gear, shouted.
Danny turned around and barely managed to avoid being sliced in half by a giant leopard ghost.
"RRROORORRRR!..."The beastly ghost roared at him.
Danny responded by firing an ecto-blast and dodging his swipes and attempts to bite him.
"Okay, kitty. Play time is over..."Danny said as he tried to end this.
He used his ice powers to freeze the leopard ghosts' paws, trapping it.
"RRORROOARR!..."The beast snarled but was ignored.
"Bad kitty..."Star said as she pulled out the thermos and captured the ghost in it, trapping it.
Once done, she clasped it shut.
"You okay, Boo?..."Star asked as he floated to the ground.
"I'm fine..."Danny said, before yawning.
"Man, when Ember said be ready to give 110 percent, she wasn't kidding..."Danny said, since he had been fighting ghosts all week.
As soon as his little vacation was over, Skulker was the first to attack him and his friends, and it resulted in his suit getting destroyed and the wanna-be hunter swearing revenge...for the ten millionth time.
Then he had constant visits from the Box Ghost, Klemper, Johnny, Kitty and a few others that decided to "pay him a visit". That happened all week and it's now Friday again. And today, however, it was mostly mindless beast ghosts who attacked anything that crossed their paths.
"Let's just be grateful that's the last ghost. We caught a wolf, a puma, a hawk and a giant buffalo ghost too. It's like visiting a haunted zoo..."Star said.
"You said it. We have had quite a day...and it's not even 8 yet..."Danny said, as he turned to his girlfriend.
"Speaking of which, we still have about 5 minutes before class starts..."Star pointed out.
They had been walking to school together when they had been ambushed by those ghosts and are just now finishing dealing with them.
"Oh man, you're right! If I fly fast, we can just avoid being tardy..."Danny said as he picked her up bridal style.
"I hope so. I don't want to risk getting detention and missing the movie later..."Star said, since they had plans for after school.
"Don't worry. I won't let that happen on my watch, Starlight..."Her boyfriend said.
He soon took off with his girlfriend, trying to get to school before the bell rang. As they flew in the air, Star had a relaxed smile on her face.
"This is the life. Fighting side by side with my Danny-Boo and NOT having to worry about a certain thorn in my side as soon as we make it to school. It's wonderful..."Star thought, still glad that her wicked stepsister is still locked away at boarding school and can't bug them anymore.
Without her around, Star knew that ghosts or no ghosts, it would be a nice day today. She was sure of it.
Elsewhere
Unknown to our favorite couple, a certain fruitloop, who was already back in town, had his own plans as well.
The evil fruitloop was in his lab, underneath the mayor's mansion and was using his many surveillances equipment all over town to spy on his archenemy. He frowned when he saw the image of Daniel flying with his girlfriend Estelle in his arms. The villain frowned harder.
He heard from Jack what had happened over a week ago with the Bevier brat and what happened afterwards. The evil halfa was NOT impressed to say the least when he heard about what she did.
"Such an amateur. If she really wanted to succeed, she should have been smarter and not get caught so easily..."Vlad had thought, dismissing the rotten brat's attempt at villainy.
But he didn't care about that. What he cared for was finally getting what was rightfully his!
He already wasted enough time trying to get rid of Alicia, and he needed to get back to his plans. So, he let that hillbilly nuisance alone for now and decided to focus on what really mattered.
Such as defeating Daniel, destroying Jack and winning Maddie's heart...Oh, and world domination too.
And to do that, he would need SEVERAL things, which he is now in the process of getting.
"Okay, first thing first...time to get another item that should have already been in my possession a long time ago...and find a way to make Daniel's life miserable while I am at it..."Vlad said, before frowning as he tried to consider his options.
"Valerie has been acting very fishy lately and I don't think I can count on her loyalty anymore..."Vlad thought, as he viewed recording of his so-called apprentice hanging out and acting very chummy with Daniel and his friends in a suspicious manner.
He wasn't sure but he wasn't a fool either. He decided that he rather be safe than sorry, so he knew he would need to find some more help.
"Well, Skulker's track record leaves a lot to be desired and Estelle's ill-behaved stepsister is all the way in Europe and is completely useless right now...though I doubt she'd even make a competent minion in the first place. Heck, even if she had ghost powers, she'd probably just squander them than actually do anything that would make her a real threat..."Vlad thought, dismissing that brat's potential.
He knew he needed to go elsewhere to find new henchmen...the kind who hated Daniel and wouldn't think twice about the idea of causing him trouble.
And he already had some people in mind.
"Hmm...I suppose it is time to go hire some help...and go retrieve a certain item in the ghost zone that is better off in my hands than in the hands of a bunch of frozen fools..."The evil villain thought as he continued with his evil plans and went to get ready.
One thing is certain, these next few days are going to be quite...intense...to say the least.
