T'Pol stood in her new home at a kitchen counter, watching her children play in the back family room. The sun was shining through the back patio doors. T'Pol glanced back at the food that she was preparing for breakfast. She had to figure out what she was doing today.

T'Pol glanced to the front of the house to see that it was bare of furniture and still needed to be filled. From the front living room, she glanced at the area that was going to hold a table for her family to eat. She still needed a table. From the dining area to the stairs, the stairs that led upstairs to the bedrooms. There was still work that needed to be done upstairs for the bedrooms. The children and she were sleeping on Starfleet issued beds. She wanted to get beds that would work for the children and decorate their rooms. She had to figure out what to do with her own bedroom.

T'Pol looked away from the stairs when she heard a noise coming from the family room. It seemed that the kids had made the area their own with their toys. T'Pol thought that it needed a couch and places where they could keep the toys that weren't in use. T'Mir had taken something from Charlie and Charlie looked mad.

"Charlie," T'Pol warned him. He looked up with blue eyes and smiled. He was trying not to get in trouble with her. "Don't hurt your sister."

"But she took my toy," Charlie pointed to the toy that T'Mir had taken. T'Mir was playing with it with a smile on her face.

T'Pol was trying to figure out what to do when T'Mir handed the toy back to Charlie. Charlie snatched it out of her hand. "Charlie, T'Mir only wanted to play with it for a second. There is no reason you need to snatch it out of her hand," Charlie rolled his eyes and T'Pol had to wonder why she had half-human children.

T'Pol finished making breakfast and set it on the breakfast bar. She went over to the children and set them on the Starfleet issued stools. Another thing she wanted to add to the list. She wanted something a little more comfortable for her and the kids to sit. They ate their breakfast and T'Pol had the children playing again while she cleaned up after breakfast.

T'Pol was finishing up when there was a knock on the door. Both children looked up from their toys. T'Pol went to the front door and opened it to find Ella there. There was a smile on her face.

"Ella," Charlie screamed and ran to his nanny. Ella bent down and hugged him. T'Mir came over on her little legs. Ella hugged her, too.

"Can you go and play with your toys? I need to talk to your mom," Ella smiled at the children. T'Pol and Ella watched as the children went to play with their toys. T'Pol led Ella to the kitchen where there was some seating. T'Pol offered her something to drink but Ella didn't take anything. "I came to tell you that Ensign Miller asked me to marry him, and I agreed."

"Congratulations," T'Pol told the young woman. She didn't know what that meant for them. Tripp and she had asked Ella to stay on as the nanny for the kids once they moved back to San Francisco. She agreed and T'Pol was glad that the children would have someone they would know who was taking care of them.

Ella frowned. T'Pol could see that she was happy about the engagement. "Thank you. Ensign Miller is getting stationed on Andoria and I'm going with him. I know that I said that I would be the children's nanny," Ella looked at the children before turning back to T'Pol. "But I want to marry Oliver, and we want to do it before we go. I'm going to have leave you and the children."

T'Pol nodded. It was understandable that she wanted to be with her husband and that she could go with him to his next post was great. "It is fine. You need to live your life. If there is anything you need, just let me know and I can help anyway I can."

Ella nodded, she stood and looked over at the children. T'Pol saw tears in her eyes. Ella was going to miss the children. "Can I say goodbye?" T'Pol nodded. She watched as Ella went over to the kids and said goodbye to the children. Ella made her way back to T'Pol. "I must thank you for giving me this opportunity. I would have never met Oliver or marrying the man I love. Take care of you and the children," Ella gave one more look to the children before walking out of the house.

T'Pol knew that she was going to have to find care for the children when she went back to work. She had most of the summer to think about it because she wasn't needed at the academy until August. Right now, she needed to get furniture for the house.

T'Pol gathered the children and went to find a furniture store. She entered with the children; she reminded them that they had to behave while they were here. A salesperson came up as they entered. "What can I help you with?"

"I need to furniture my home," T'Pol said. She saw his eyes light up.

"Which room would you like to start with?" He asked.

They started with the dining room, then went to the living room, to the family room. T'Pol got things for her office that she was going to have at home. She made her way to the bedrooms, she had Charlie pick out his furniture, something that can grow with him. T'Pol picked out the bedroom set for T'Mir before picking out the bedroom set that she was going to need for herself and maybe her husband if he came back alive. T'Pol and the salesperson agreed on a date when they could deliver the new furniture. T'Pol took the kids home for a nap.

A week later, the furniture was being delivered. The door was opened as they brought in the furniture. T'Pol told them where she wanted the furniture. The children were outside with Hoshi, who came over to help her. There was a knock on the doorframe of the outside door; T'Pol looked up to see her cousin, Sov standing there. She wondered what he was doing here. She waved him in. He looked around as the delivery people brought in the furniture. She led him to the breakfast bar.

"Would you like anything to drink?" T'Pol asked. Sov shook his head. "What brings you here?" T'Pol asked. It has been a while since she saw her cousin.

"I was part of the Vulcan delegates, and I heard that you were back," Sov looked around. "What is going on?"

"The furniture I got for the house is being set up," T'Pol said. She watched the men for a moment.

"Why don't you live on Vulcan?" Sov asked. He glanced around and didn't see the children or her husband.

"This is where Tripp and I decided to live with our family," T'Pol glanced outside and saw Charlie running around. "We both got jobs working with Starfleet."

Sov followed her eyes and saw the children. "Do you think it is wise raising your children on Earth?"

"Yes, my children are half human," T'Pol looked back and saw one of the delivery people with the master headboard. "That is going upstairs to the master bedroom," The delivery person nod and head for the stairs.

"How are your children going to know the Vulcan ways?" Sov asked. "They are half Vulcan."

"I have taught them myself and Tripp and I talked about taking trips to Vulcan so the children will know their Vulcan heritage." T'Pol knew that Tripp and she had talked about doing that when the children were older.

Sov nodded. "Where is your husband?" Sov didn't see his cousin-in-law anywhere. The children were outside with someone else.

"He is working," T'Pol just kept it simple. Sov didn't need to know that Tripp was on a mission that could get him killed. If it came to that she would tell him, but right now he didn't need to know about Tripp. "How long are you going to be at the Vulcan compound?"

"A few more weeks," Sov said.

"We should do dinner before you leave," T'Pol said. Sov nodded.

Sov stood. "I should leave you and let you set up your house," Sov headed for the door. T'Pol followed him with her eyes. She didn't know what he wanted. She knew that it had to be more than stopping by for a visit.

"Who was that?" Hoshi asked.

T'Pol turned to see the young woman, holding T'Mir, who was yawning. T'Pol took T'Mir. She looked around and saw that Charlie was lying on the couch with his eyes closed. It was time for naptime for her children. She couldn't put them in their rooms since their beds were being put together. "My cousin, Sov," Hoshi raised an eyebrow. "Can you make sure that the furniture is where it needs to? I need to put these two down for a nap," T'Pol headed for the family room.

T'Pol sat on the couch with T'Mir putting her head on her shoulder and Charlie crawling into her lap. Both children were out in moments. T'Pol watched the rest of the furniture being brought in. Hoshi stayed until the last of the furniture was being brought in. After the nap, T'Pol made up the children's beds before taking them to a local park so they could run out some energy.

T'Pol stood in the master bedroom, looking at the new bed. It was bigger than the bed on the ship and she was going to sleep in it alone. The bed was made of white wood, and she hoped that Tripp would like it if he ever returned to them. T'Pol hoped that he didn't return to her in a box. She wanted a life with him and their children. She took a sigh her emotions were getting to her. She looked at the bay window where she had made her mediating station. She knew that the children were going to sleep for a while, so she changed and went to mediate.

After she meditated, she went to crawl into the big bed that she hoped to share with her husband one day. Before she could climb into bed, she felt dizzy and had to stop. She took a breath before climbing in bed. She looked up at the ceiling and she knew that it could only mean one thing. She would check with Phlox if he was still in town. She didn't know where the doctor was since she hadn't seen him in a while.

It has been over a month since she has been with her husband, and it could be possible that they could add to their numbers. T'Pol hated that he wouldn't be here to greet the newest member of their little family. This baby might not even know their father if things turn out bad for Tripp. T'Pol placed a hand on her still flat womb and knew that she would have to be both mother and father to the baby. They didn't talk about adding to their family, but she knew that they wanted more children. This might be their last if Tripp never comes back.

T'Pol closed her eyes because she couldn't think about that right now. She needed to know if she was pregnant or not.
