I'm Ruby Rose, I once thought myself invincible with my friends by my side. that was until that fateful night at the docks. I thought my life was over. then they came. Men covered in matte black armor and had prosthetics. who were they? no... what were they and how'd they know Mom? this is the Story of how I became Ruby of Borg and met the crew of the Enterprise-D

8. a bull's end

A FEW DAYS AFTER THE MEETING

Adam paced back and forth. The group he'd sent to help Roman hadn't returned with the dust that was promised.

While he disliked working with the man, he did deliver on his promises. So why didn't he this time? "Sir, Roman's here." a grunt said. "and he's got our boys with him but no dust." The bull faunas gritted his teeth.

Adam stormed out to see Torchwick with his men standing there with an emotionless expression on his face without his bowler hat and cane. "Torchwick where's there dust?"

"We were found out. Had to abandon it." The criminal said in a monotone. "the huntresses had backup in the form of the armored dead men." Taurus frowned.

He'd heard of men clad in full body black armor with ash grey skin. Skeptical, he may be, but Adam knew better than to engage them in combat. Sadly, today wouldn't be the case.

"Well, when the next shipment comes in be more discreet." Adam said. "Or you'll be feeling wilt slice your neck." To the bull faunas' shock, Torchwick didn't flinch or react.

"Funny, This unit was about to say the same thing about you." Torchwick said. "Unit?" Adam muttered before men in full body black armor phased into existence. "The armored dead men!" a White fang member cried.

"How!?" Adam exclaimed watching his men get taken or killed. Strangely, Torchwick, and the white fang members that came with the criminal were being ignored.

"The man you know as Roman Torchwick is dead." Came Torchwick's voice. "Your men's fate is sealed, but yours is to be decided." Before the Faunus could ask, something hit him in the head.

BEACON

"it's done Blake Belladonna. Adam Taurus is in our custody." 6 of 8 said after getting a transmission from 8 of 10. "Thank you. I assume he'll be made a drone." Blake said relieved that her crush and crush's sister were safe from her ex.

"You wish it?" the command drone asked. "Pardon?" the secret faunas asked. "his fate is yours to decide." Blake looked shocked. She merely meant to warn 6 of 8 about Adam being a potential threat to yang and Ruby's safety, but not once did she think that she, herself, would be deciding her ex's fate.

"Are you sure?" the Faunus asked. The command drone nodded. "You are infatuated with our speaker are you not?" Blake blushed. "I'm not borg though, I shouldn't get a say." She said.

"True, and yet you went out of your way to warn us of a potential threat to Ruby of Borg and Yang Xiao Long as well as their family." 6 of 8 said. "Keep him sedated. The longer he's asleep the better. I'd like to chat with him before I make my decision final." The Faunus said making the command drone nod.

"orders from the Viceroy. Keep the prisoner called Adam Taurus quarantined and sedated. She shall speak with him." 6 of 8 transmitted to the collective

The drone held out its arm. "shall we, Blake Belladonna?" it asked. Blake, wanting to get it over with, nodded.

HIDDEN BORG COLONY

Ruby was standing over a drone's body with 9 of 12 and Penny. The drone had black armor with red accents. It's skin tone was similar to ruby's while its hair was as red as Pyrrha's. ruby's emblem on its left chest plate.

"Careful Penny." Ruby said from her spot over it as penny brought over a prosthetic made with parts from Crescent Rose. "I know friend Ruby. I'm sorry that you lost your weapon." The orangette said before setting the prosthetic into place on the right arm.

Ruby gave a small smile before attaching a holographic targeting scope to the right side of the head(1). "it's okay. Technically Penny, this drone is Crescent Rose." The orangette chuckled.

Despite losing Crescent Rose in weapon form, Ruby was adamant of rebuilding her, even if it meant turning her baby into a borg drone

"Ruby of Borg." 9 of 12 began to say. The half borg turned to him. "6 of 8 has returned with Blake Belladonna." The medical drone said. Ruby frowned.

"Why would 6 bring Blake here?" she pondered out loud. "Blake Belladonna alerted us of a threat to both your safety and the safety of your sister. We only just recently apprehended the threat." The medical drone explained.

"I'll join them." Ruby said before facing an assimilation drone. "4 of 7, be sure to translate the specifications of how I calibrated Cressy's scope into a tactical drone's programming." The drone nodded.

"Don't wake her till I get back you guys." After receiving some affirmatives, Ruby ran off to catch up to 6 and Blake.

Blake walked alongside 6, careful not to lose sight of him. Her ears perked at hearing the familiar sound of a drone phasing into existence.

"I don't think that I'll ever get used to that." Came the voice of her team's leader. Blake chuckled. "What's the matter, prefer your semblance over quick travel?" she asked. Ruby blushed slightly

"Well, I wouldn't say that. Its just the way the borg teleport is… disorienting and its hard for me to lock onto an actual location." Ruby said. "what was your target this time?" the cat Faunus asked.

"You." The half borg said, blushing slightly. Blake giggled. "I'd say that your aim is pretty spot on." The Faunus teased in a flirty tone. Ruby's blush intensified before she pushed Blake away playfully.

6 of 8 glanced back at them. "Talk about a sharpshooter." Blake flirted as she brushed her fingers against Ruby's hand.

"The viceroy seems to be making more obvious advances towards the collective's speaker. We shall continue to allow this to occur." 6 of 8 transmitted

"So, where are you taking Blake 6?" Ruby asked. "this unit is taking Blake Belladonna to the detention block Ruby of Borg." Ruby gave her crush a questioning glance.

"I alerted 6 of 8 about my ex; Adam Taurus. He, no doubt, would try to hurt you and yang." The Faunus said. "Why?" the speaker of the borg asked.

"To see me suffer. I abandoned him during my last mission for the White Fang." Blake said

Adam was sulking in his cell thinking of a way to escape when a familiar face approached while flanked by two armored dead men. Except one was different.

One of them was obviously female, wore a red cloak and had a normal skin tone. "Well, we meet again beloved." He said smugly

"Don't call me that!" Blake seethed. The dead man to her right raised an arm. "Let her deal with him 6. This is her problem as you said prior. His fate is her choice" the red cloaked woman in black armor said.

The dead man lowered his arm. "So, this is where you went. To join the armored dead men." Adam said. "at least they have a heart despite being emotionless." Blake said glancing at ruby. "and I'd like to correct you on what they're called."

"Pray tell what they're actual called" the bull Faunus asked "They're called the Borg and they saved a friend of mine." Blake said glancing at Ruby.

"She was my friend once you know." Adam said glancing at the half borg. Ruby narrowed her eyes. "That was until you showed your true nature." The speaker of the Borg said sternly surprising Adam at the emotion the armored dead woman had.

Taurus chuckled. "So what now? You going to kill me?" he mocked. Adam's smug grin faded when he heard Blake's mocking laugh.

"Oh no, no, no. Death would be a mercy for you." Blake said having a sadistic grin on her face. "I'm thinking a far worse fate for you Adam."

Adam narrowed his eyes. "And that would be?" he asked. "Assimilation." Blake said darkly. Adam's eyes widened. He knew what that meant.

"No! Damn you Belladonna! Damn you to hell!" he screamed as Blake, Ruby, and 6 of 8 left him cursing up a storm as assimilation drones phased into his cell.

A SHORT TIME LATER

"Blake, you okay?" Ruby asked as they walked across a catwalk. Blake said nothing and approached the railing. "Am now." The Faunus said. "How so?" the half borg asked.

"That you're safe." Blake said. "You, your sister, Wiess, and your family." Ruby frowned. "There's more to it than just that isn't there?" the speaker of the borg asked. Blake nodded whilst biting her lip.

Ruby glanced down and smiled. She having a feeling of what it was, but decided against pushing for answers. "You can tell me when you feel comfortable to do so." The half borg said

"Thank you Ruby." Blake said. Her eyes widened when she felt someone take her hand in theirs. Turning, the Faunus saw Ruby holding her hand. "We'll all stand beside you Blake. I'll stand beside you no matter what happens."

6 of 8 watched the two as Blake and Ruby leaned onto each other, heads bumping into one another. The command drone, despite his emotionless nature, smirked briefly.

Ruby of Borg and Blake Belladonna were getting closer. Soon, it would blossom into something great. Only time would tell.

A/N: Y'all thought I'd make the ladybug ship sail this chapter. Nope, I'm sticking to what I said. Ruby and Blake will get together in chapter 10 or 11. Ruby did give Blake a huge hint about her feelings towards the cat Faunus.

Adam's gone. What does that mean for the fang? Wait and see. Next chapter will be the council meeting and Ruby's first encounter with Cinder. Please read and review. That being said. Peace.
